[TASK 053: THE IROQUOIS CONFEDERACY]

Shout out to @olivaraofrph for inspiring and helping compile this task! There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 100+ Iroquois faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. The Iroquois are a historically powerful Northeast Confederacy, existing in precolonial Native America to present. The Iroquois are not one tribe but compose of what are referred to as the 'Six Nations', who share a similar culture and language: the Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.

Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags!

THE TASK - scroll down for FC’s!

STEP 1: Decide on a FC you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!

STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!

STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)

STEP 4: Upload and tag with #TASKSWEEKLY! If you didn’t use your own screencaps/images make sure to credit where you got them from as we will not reblog packs which do not credit caps or original gifs from the original maker.

This is not exactly rp-related, but I'm doing some fanart that will include a First Nation character, and I'm hoping you can help me find a fc for reference, or direct me to someone who can, please? I *think* he is of the Abenaki tribe, but the book isn't very clear on this, and he could also easily be from any Iroquois tribe from Quebec. I can work with faceclaims of any age. Thank you so much for your help!!

I re-re-read the canon material and it would seem the character is *not* actually from the Abenaki tribe… rather, he is most likely of the Iroquois Confederacy (comprised of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Seneca First Nations, according to the Canadian govt website).

Riding Lessons feature a holistic lesson in a small group setting. Includes learning safety, grooming, tacking, riding, and more! Ride English, Western, and bareback in our indoor and outdoor arenas. Young riders, starting at age 2, can have a 30 minute condensed lesson in our KinderPony Program.

Youth Academy – 5th-6th Grade Our Youth Academy Program participants train alongside our 12 and under competitive level teams once a week. This program is designed to develop young athletes by introducing and reinforcing basic skills and techniques while continuing to foster a passion for the game. Movies like Princess Bride, The Three Musketeers, and Star Wars: A New Hope make sword play look like, well, sword play. However, fencing is serious work, and often called a ‘gentleman’s sport’. Fencing, while not a difficult sport to learn, is a difficult sport to master. It has a very defined set of rules and requires a great deal of discipline. Our Speed, Agility and Quickness Clinic is designed to increase athletes’ game speed, quickness and explosiveness using agility ladders, mini-hurdles and other equipment to maximize the training process applicable to all sports. At MLXA we aim to train those new to lacrosse through our Little LAXers program as well as develop the future college athletes through our travel teams! We focus on individual skill development and provide quality training from a beginning level up to national collegiate exposure.

Little Laxers: PreK-3rd Grade An introductory clinic for beginners, participants will learn basic techniques and movements and begin to foster a passion for the game! Open to boys and girls. The Youth Training Program will combine instruction & games each week. MLXA will provide all necessary equipment.

Middle School Teams: 4th-8th Grade With common goals and purpose we hope to bring girls and boys LAX to its next level! We are a multidimensional organization focusing on growing the game of lacrosse at the youth and high school level, through comprehensive high level instruction and off-season playing opportunities. Joining a middle school team will give your player a chance to grow in their knowledge of the game and experience playing with other players.

While often used as synonymous to 'Ojibwe', 'Anishinaabe' refers to six culturally and linguistically similar Native American/Canadian tribes: the Ojibwe, Ottawa, Potawatomi, Chippewa Cree, Mississauga, and Algonquin.
