The JEE Advanced cut-off marks are crucial for candidates hoping to secure a spot in one of the prestigious IITs. These marks will be determined based on various factors, including the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates, and overall performance.
Previous Year's Trends: In 2024, there was a significant increase in the cut-off marks across all categories compared to the previous year. For General and EWS candidates, the cut-off surged to 378 marks, up from 348 in 2023. Similarly, for OBC-NCL candidates, the cut-off increased to 383, compared to 352 in 2023. For SC and ST candidates, the cut-offs rose to 364 and 366, respectively, from 331 and 323 the previous year. This increase indicates heightened competition and a higher number of top-performing candidates.
JEE Advanced 2025: A total of 1,87,223 candidates appeared for JEE Advanced 2025, including 1,43,810 boys and 43,413 girls. Based on feedback from experts and candidates, the mathematics section of the exam was deemed to be the most challenging this year, while chemistry and physics followed a relatively similar difficulty pattern as in previous years.
JEE Advanced 2025 Cut-off Predictions: Considering the trends from 2024 and the level of competition, it is anticipated that the JEE Advanced 2025 cut-offs will likely be higher than the previous years. However, the final cut-off will depend on various factors, including the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates qualifying, and the overall performance in the exam.
JoSAA Counselling: Once the JEE Advanced results are declared, candidates who meet the cut-off will be eligible to participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling process for admission into IITs and other participating institutions.
