HUX(ley) Hyde/Jeckel is back- (explaination/sketch)

Hux is an oc I've posted once kr twice before. A descendants oc who is the "twin" of my brother's ( @gaylilbirdart ) charater named Jair. They are the sons of Dr. Jeckel (and technically Mr. Hyde.).

Hux or Huxley , was born originally as a part of Jair but they were split in two as all Hyde's or evilness was supposed to be sent to the isle for 'safety'. Hence forth Hyde was brought back to be his proper caregiver on the isle.(or as proper as Mr. Edward Hyde could be-).

Growing up entirely seperated made both sets of pairs struggle a lot as when seperated it wasn't just good or evil that was seperated but related emotions as well. Making Hux mostly feeling polar extremes or numbness.

As time went on Hux was allowed to come to Auradon and meet his brother and father for the first time in many years. Though he faced lots of restrictions due to the fear of him going on a rampage like his predecessor.

When meeting his brother , Jair, once more though actually helped him become more mellowed out and less extreme as an almost emotional realse as he finally was with his other half once more.

Jair Jekyll

He’s my decedents oc, made in company of my brother @skellsplace who made his brother Hux Hyde. Jair is the personification of the good traits in a single person, the emotions considered negative emotions are for the most part blocked off for him until in the company of Hux. he was kept in Auradon with his father Henry Jekyll after being separated from their counterparts respectively. Jair’s “negative” counterpart is Hux but because of the separation and having been raised separately they are more like twins. (I’ve been meaning to make a post about this for so long now 😭) and if you’d like even more in depth and more about Hux please go check out my brothers page and post about it

Decided its about time to post something relevent to my book, so here’s Jair, one of the main characters.

Fun facts about the character:

- An early version of Jair involved him being possessed by a demon, and he would often lose control, Jekyll-Hyde style. This was originally a major plot point, but the idea was later scrapped.

- Going along with the demon possession, Jair has gone through a couple name changes, simply being called “Z” early on. I came up with the name “Jair” after deciding that the demon stole his name. At the time, I didnt realise Jair was a real name, and had it pronounced with a hard J, only to learn much later of its spanish and hebrew origins. However, out of habit and attachment to the sound, the original pronunciation stuck.

Descendants oc-- HUX HYDE

This is one of my beloved ocs Hux(ley) Hyde the brother of my friend's oc , Jair Jekyll , the sons of Dr. Jekyll. The story I have so far with my friend is that after Dr. J had a baby. The King , Queen and Fairy God mother feared that if kept together the Hyde gene that Dr. Jekyll retained (in this story) would grow and go loose on Auradon. so in a last ditch attempt the baby was split in two with magic , one being named Hux (the dark Hyde side) and one being named Jair (the 'pure' Jekyll side). Dr. Jekyll then made the decision to split himself so that Hyde could go and watch over Hux on the isle. So up until their late teens Hux was raised on the isle by Hyde and Jair was raised by Jekyll.

Though eventually Jekyll gets to bring his other son home with the VK program. Leading to many shenanigans and honestly wholesome/angsty sh!t between the brothers.
