1500-1599 Recap Part 67:
Sarah became a teenager. I feel bad but at some point I forgot about her for a while until around the time she got married so whoopsie on my part.
Janet had her twins Thomas and Alice.
Audrey became a child.
Thomasin got some lovin’ and Gilbert had an alien baby which I thought was funny to have in a historical based save so I let it happen.
Margaret was widowed and remarried her late husband’s twin.
Maria married Bernardo.

Another positive update to report from Just Small Change!
For those of you who may have forgotten, Coinadrink is proud to support Just Small Change as one of our chosen charities. We last issued an update in November 2018, detailing the introduction of “table banking” that allowed group members to easily borrow money to help improve their livelihoods. Now, we are happy to hear that the organisation is going from strength to strength, and there’s now a new update to share…
A warm welcome to Roselyne Okanda!
The ongoing project in Kisumu, Kenya has been going so well that the organisation were able to employ Roselyne Okanda earlier in the year to help lead and expand the project. She has been working alongside Angelina, who sent us a lovely message late last year thanking us for our ongoing support.
We recently received an email from Peter and Jane, founder members of Just Small Change and also great friends of ours, explaining everything that Roselyne has brought to the organisation. She has vast experience in project management and economic empowerment to name just a few skills, and her first few months in the role has seen her visit all the clients and recommend changes that will go on to strengthen the programme.
It’s great to see that Just Small Change is growing as a charity, enabling them to make a bigger difference to people’s lives in some of the poorest parts of the world.
And introducing *34* new clients for Just Small Change!
One of Roselyne’s first tasks, along with Angelina, will be to distribute loans to 34 new clients! This is an excellent achievement and another sign of how Just Small Change are progressing as an organisation. The clients already possess a small business, though with the help of the loans they can develop their business to provide an income that will ensure they aren’t as vulnerable.
Here are three examples of the 34 clients that Just Small Change will be providing for:
Linet
Aged 37, Linet is a widow with four children aged 19, 15, 12 and 10 respectively. Her business is a tea room in Ogango near Kachief in Kenya to which she serves the community. With the loan, Linet is hoping to expand the business by providing snacks in addition, which she is hoping will enable her to afford two good meals per day.
Caren
A widow, Caren is 67 years old and takes care of 2 grandchildren aged 16 and 14. She also has three children aged 30, 27 and 23 respectively. She lives in Kibos, Kenya, and makes and sells Githeri to the public. With the additional funds, Caren plans to increase production and supply by hiring someone to help with the supply of the produce, This will help Caren to save enough money to provide her grandchildren with a good education.
Janet
Janet, aged 23, has two children aged 4 and 2. Janet has a stall in the Kibos market and hopes to include traditional vegetables such as tomatoes, onions and fruits to better her stall and increase profits. She is hoping that her stall will one day improve enough for Janet to provide basic needs for herself and her family.
What the future holds for Just Small Change…
The training for the 34 clients is being funded from the £1500 that we raised for the organisation during our 55th birthday party in January 2018. Soon enough, the charity will be publishing their report from 2018-2019, which should hopefully show the progress that they are making. Below are the words from Angelina in Kisumu:
“Once more, thank you very much for your commitment to our people. Your dedication and support makes a great difference in the lives of the less privileged grass roots community.”

1500-1599 Recap Part 73:
Janet Silversweater became a toddler.
Philippa gave birth and her birth roll was literally one away from death so I had to make it dramatic, obviously lol.
Thomas and Alice Kibo became children in time to become older siblings to Arthur.
Thomasin went into labor around the same time as Patricia.
Patricia had her son Melrose.
Thomasin and Philippa unfortunately lost one of their twins in the birth. At this point I realized that every one of Adrian’s daughters had lost their first born child up until this point.
Joyce became a child.

1500-1599 Recap Part 69:
Amy became a toddler and Maria’s husband died.
Adrian and Barnaby became children and both seemed like decent blends of their parents in terms of genetics.
Rachel also looked like a blend of her parents when she aged up.
Loads of babies for the year as Maria had her twins, Janet had her son Matthew, Margery had her daughter,  and Thomasin’s first child was born.

1500-1599 Recap Part 66:
Janet got married to Camilo right after Thomas died. Bartholomew became a toddler.
Then Ruth was married to Drew and as a proper sim she didn’t raise much complaint despite her worries.
Piers became a toddler and Agnes showed her age.
William got married to Karina’s cousin Patricia since at this point most sims are either related by blood or marriage. This is also around the time when I took some random sims from the Gallery and dropped them in game for side household spouses and world variety since there are A LOT OF AKIYAMAS AND HOWELLS AND VATORES AND VOLKOVS AND WILDERS a few families that have dominated the save not counting the Carlisles themselves of course. I don’t really remember where I got the other sims from since I wasn’t planning on having them marry into the family but other unrelated families for a little more variety I didn’t keep track of them but there are some in the family tree that married side households that will likely never be seen again. Though it is annoying that most of Cecily’s children come from a sim who I can’t remember who made him so I just didn’t mention it since I wasn’t expecting the like 4 sims I added to get involved with the family so quickly.
Then Wilmot and Parnell went into business together.

Year 1581 Part 2:
Maria had hardly gotten the chance to mourn when her labor began. She was scared that she had to go through birth alone especially after some of the horror stories shared in Talia’s tome before she had left. Her biggest fear was losing her children right after her husband.
Luckily her fears didn’t come to pass as she delivered her sons, Bernard and Benedict safely with them getting a clean bill of health.
Janet delivered another son named Matthew a few days after Maria’s son was born.
The same day Janet delivered, Margery went into labor and delivered a little girl she named Anne after her mother.

Surviving Family:
Talia’s eldest child, Thomas Carlisle married Isabel Goth and the couple had six children before Isabel’s death. Anthony, Andrew, Agnes, Adam, Allen, and Arthur. Unfortunately both Adam and Allen passed away as children. After Isabel’s death, Thomas remarried Margery Thorne and the couple had two sons, Adrian and Ambrose. Thomas and Isabel’s youngest, Arthur, married Beth Wilder and the two had three children together before Beth died giving birth to their youngest child. Unfortunately their two oldest daughters, Christina and Jane, did not survive infancy.
The youngest of Arthur and Beth’s children, Janet (pictured first), married Camillo Kibo and the couple had four children. Their oldest son, Thomas died as a child but his twin, Alice, lived and married Cesar Hashimoto and the couple have a daughter named Azure who are pictured beneath Janet. Janet and Camillo’s third child, Matthew, also passed away but he was only a toddler. Their youngest, Arthur, named after his grandfather, is still a teenager and he is pictured last.
This is likely to be the last time the members of this household will be seen since Janet is out of try for baby rolls and I don’t want to mircomanage the lives of sims so far unrelated from the main household. I will probably give death updates and the family tree will be updated, I just won’t mention them again until probably the next Century’s Surviving family segment if they do survive.

Year 1585 Part 1:
TW/CW: Infant Death, Stillbirth, Death mention
Janet’s twins turned six at the start of the year which was a relief since it meant two less toddlers running about though that only lasted so long as Janet went into labor once more a few days later. She delivered a healthy son named Arthur.
Shortly after the birth of Arthur came through Talia’s Tome, Thomasin was hit with her own labor pains. Thankfully, there were no complications for her to put her own life in danger. Her son, Elric, was born as healthy as could be while her daughter Bela was born as cold as Thomasin’s body heat had allowed to her dismay. Thomasin was grateful for her son but she hated that she had lost another daughter.
It didn’t help the feelings of loss when news that Margaret had been widowed again spread through the family.
In Glimmerbrook a few weeks later, Patricia delivered a son they named Melrose.

Year 1582 Part 2:
Janet’s son, Matthew, grew big enough to play with his siblings and cousins and big enough to drive Janet mad with the chaos of raising three toddlers.
Margery’s daughter took quite a bit after her though it was still unclear who she would eventually take the most after later.
Maria’s twins grew up so far looking like a fair blend of their parents and Maria felt more comfortable to relax now that they were at less risk.

Year 1579 Part 2:
Philippa was happy for her sister though she was discouraged when she learned that with her work, she wouldn’t be able to travel for sometime when they were hoping to travel together. Ultimately, Philippa decided to hold off on travel until her sister was able to come along which made Thomasin upset. Philippa teased her sister saying that if she wasn’t so scared, she could go on her own which only served to piss her off and she vented to her cousins through Talia’s Tome.
Janet was enjoying living a life of luxury, essentially squatting in an abandoned castle the Kibo family had made their own. Though she was surprised to learn that the home truly belonged to Larissa, Larissa cared little for the house of her unknown father and let it be. Soon Janet delivered twins, Thomas after her grandfather and Alice, after her sister. Larissa found it funny that Janet had named her twins the same as her older siblings. Both children were healthy and the family could only hope that they remained so unlike how Thomas’s twin had died as a young girl.

Year 1578 Part 4:
TW/CW: Death Mention
Janet had kept it quiet while Thomas was still alive but when she visited her sister she had gotten close to one of the neighbors, a young man named Camilo Kibo. After the passing of her grandfather though the realization of just how short life can be made the couple quick to announce their engagement. Thomas’s ghost was happy to hear news that his granddaughter would be married shortly.
Though it seemed the wedding was not soon enough when Janet approached Camilo to announce that she was with child and while she wasn’t showing much yet it would soon be very clear. He had no trouble with moving forward the wedding to maintain his wife’s status though Janet still felt bad leaving home for such a positive reason when her cousins were still grieving especially when news of Margaret’s husband’s death made its way through town. Larissa was the one who told her to be happy and celebrate life for herself though so she quickly married and moved in with her husband.

Year 1586 Part 2:
TW/CW: Death, Child Death
Arthur Kibo turned one shortly after the loss of his brother though he had little knowledge of that loss.
Things began to look up as Elric turned one as well and remained a healthy boy who took great joy in running around with his cousin.
William and Patricia’s oldest child, Amy, celebrated her sixth birthday before news of Margery’s mother-in-law’s passing was shared throughout Glimmerbrook. Though the loss was made less sad when Audrey and Melrose celebrated their birthdays with their family and when news that Anthony had welcomed a daughter into the family came out.
Which only lasted so long because Maria’s son Bernard died shortly after followed by Janet’s father-in-law, Margery’s daughter Anne and Janet’s eldest son Thomas in order and rapid succession over the course of a few short days.
