Benrey looks at his reflection in the mirror and the long skirt he's just put on. It's a purple vintage swing skirt from the 1950s, an unused item Dr Coomer had tucked away up until just recently. Dr Coomer stands behind Benrey, sporting a hawaiian shirt, with his hands proudly on his hips: "I think you look very handsome, Beppy! Would you say the same?" Either sides of the skirt are bunched up in Benrey's hands where he's lifting it up and away from brushing against his legs. His mouth is a tight, thin line. "it's, uhh…yeah. like it. looks. can i take it off now, please?" Benrey grits out. Tommy winces at the stream of flimsy red sweet voice bubbles slipping out from the corner of Benrey's mouth: "Uh-oh. Red like, like a brick means that's a bad, uh, ick."

Tommy leaves the shirt he's just finished folding and picks up a pair of comfy black pajama pants with a green grid pattern on it from off the pile of unfolded clothes next to him on the couch. "Here! This'll help!" he says, before launching the pants right at Benrey's face. Dr Coomer chuckles at him.

Sometime later, Gordon knocks on their open front door. He asks: "Hey, any of yall seen Capt- Joshie's stuffed horse? I think he might've left it here the last time we-" He's interrupted by an abrupt "hey" from Benrey. Benrey's dressed in his hoodie, playstation socks, and most importantly, the pajama pants and skirt from earlier. He leans forward, a hand on his hip while the other twirls a chullo string around his finger playfully. Benrey smiles smugly at Gordon, showing of his new skirt: "bet you're, uh, jealous you can't pull this off, huh?"

Tommy pipes up: "Oh! I was just about to go give- to return this to you. Hello, Mr Freeman!" Benrey looks displeased at Tommy's sudden entrance as the taller man pops into view behind him, a stuffed horse held in his hand. Gordon's smile is a grateful one as he passes Benrey to retrieve the toy: "Aw fuck, thanks man." "yo what the hell man? you ruined my moment…" Benrey pouts, arms crossed and side-eyeing Tommy. Dismissively, Gordon tells Benrey: "Dude, I've been rocking those since, like, preschool."

Benrey just grumbles and blows a rasberry, back stubbornly turned on the two behind him: "you're no fun." Gordon takes Joshua's stuffed horse from Tommy's hand. Not looking at Benrey, he mumbles with a shrug: "I mean…I didn't say it was bad or anything. Suits you, I guess." Benrey gives him an unsure look as Gordon passes him again on his way out: "/gen?" "Uh, yeah, /gen-" Gordon says distractedly, rushing out the door. "L-look, I gotta run. If Josh finds out Cap'n's gone, he's gonna freak. Thanks again, Tommy!" (Cap'n is the name of the stuffed horse) When he's gone, Tommy taps Benrey on the shoulder.

Tommy whispers sideways to Benrey: "Don't worry, Benrey. I think he liked it." "wuh?" Benrey says, looking up at him. Tommy does a series of ASL hand signs indicating that Gordon had been blushing. Benrey's eyes widen at him, and a couple of shy peach sweet voice orbs bubble from his mouth.

In the elevator, Gordon has his back pressed up against the wall, the horse plush clutched to his chest. "God, hope I didn't catch a cold or something," he thinks, mistaking the awkward heat in his face for an oncoming fever. He is, as Tommy had communicated, blushing.

The family of Joshua "Josh" A Brown located at 68 San Marcos Dr is under electronically surveillance by a group of criminals. This is on going and has been on going since he arrived in Crawfordville Florida in June or July 1st f 2021. Before his arrival neighbors began talking about his scheduled arrival from Kentucky. From what I can reduce it is "hired surveillance" to keep tabs on him due. This is because a person or persons stole his deceased father's and possibly his extended families money or monies while Josh was incarcerated in 2019. Other information points to a much earlier date of large scale theft by others, possibly as early as 2016 or before. These criminals are well equipped and dangerous due to the extent at which he is watches and the manpower and foresight needed to conduct this operation.

We believe that several homes occupied nearby house the suspects. One is the name of Keven Riggles, one in the name of Cheryl Riggles and another in the name of Freeman. Several of the people in the neighborhood are from or have close relationships with people from Mr. Browns prior location in KY. His next door neighbor was schooled in Morgan County KY. His neighbor across the street in the name of Huff has a relative "grand daughter" in the Princeton KY area and claims to have graduated high school with Josh. A new occupant in the name of Roebuck appears to have several relatives in the McCracken County area of KY in which Mr. Brown is from.

A long time resident Ray Cadence was witnessed Mr. Brown about very specific circumstances that only an worker at a former KYTC Project in Aurora KY would have had information on. The questions regarded a construction worker named Ray Power whom has accidentally shot himself in his hand while on break at the Eggers Ferry Bridge Project in which Josh had worked. The incident was never reported in newspapers and could have only been known to a worker, inspector with the State of Kentucky or possibly law enforcement.

It appears in my observation that very few people actually make contact with the Browns. The people that do make contact seem to be "vetting" The Brown Family to see in the information that they obtained by whatever means is actually true and correlates to Josh. The friends of his brother Jason whom owns the property are small to mid level dealers and identity thieves. They are also likely confidential informants to local authorities. It's possible that the LEO are involved. Long time property owner and Sheriff Miller of Wakulla County once lived only 45 from Mr. Brown and was the neighbor to another man named Josh L Brown of Salem KY. He also owns or owned property just 4-5 house down from Josh A Brown on San Marcos Dr. I am worried that the aforementioned are somehow involved in this

and The Brown Family is in serious trouble.

I personally witnessed the front wheel of Jason Brown's F350 fall off as he drove down Crawfordville HWY. I also overheard that Jason was forced off the road in broad daylight while pulling a heavy trailer with the same vehicle. Interestingly at least half of the 6 or visitors to the Browns are now lodged in Jail. Including Fredrick Strain, James Callentine, Anne Schneider, Sierra Adkinson or Garrett, Conrad Wood or White, Angie Traywick, James Beatty or Beatty and Dewayne Williams among others. Jason himself was charged with Grand Theft as well. It seems as if Law Enforcement is seriously interested in these people although no arrest have taken place at the residence...

I am seriously concerned for this families safety and it's apparent they do not have the means to help themselves.

It's as if they are inside with them from the audio I have heard and the daily photos that are taken and sent out. I suppose this is a requirement of the contractor/ the person whom pays the stalkers.

The questions regarded a construction worker named Ray Power whom has accidentally shot himself in his hand while on break at the Eggers Ferry Bridge Project in which Josh had worked. The incident was never reported in newspapers and could have only been known to a worker, inspector with the State of Kentucky or possibly law enforcement.

It appears in my observation that very few people actually make contact with the Browns. The people that do make contact seem to be "vetting" The Brown Family to see in the information that they obtained by whatever means is actually true and correlates to Josh. The friends of his brother Jason whom owns the property are small to mid level dealers and identity thieves. They are also likely confidential informants to local authorities. It's possible that the LEO are involved. Long time property owner and Sheriff Miller of Wakulla County once lived only 45 from Mr. Brown and was the neighbor to another man named Josh L Brown of Salem KY. He also owns or owned property just 4-5 house down from Josh A Brown on San Marcos Dr. I am worried that the aforementioned are somehow involved in this

and The Brown Family is in serious trouble.

I personally witnessed the front wheel of Jason Brown's F350 fall off as he drove down Crawfordville HWY. I also overheard that Jason was forced off the road in broad daylight while pulling a heavy trailer with the same vehicle. Interestingly at least half of the 6 or visitors to the Browns are now lodged in Jail. Including Fredrick Strain, James Callentine, Anne Schneider, Sierra Adkinson or Garrett, Conrad Wood or White, Angie Traywick, James Beatty or Beatty and Dewayne Williams among others. Jason himself was charged with Grand Theft as well. It seems as if Law Enforcement is seriously interested in these people although no arrest have taken place at the residence...

I am seriously concerned for this families safety and it's apparent they do not have the means to help themselves.

The Brown's previously lived at 455 Brooke Hampton Dr in Tallahassee since 2009 prior to moving to this "remote area" in comparison to the subdivision in which they left.

I want to say again and say this clearly "THIS FAMILY IS STALKED AND US UNDER SURVEILLANCE BY CRIMINALS". "I HAVE FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THIS AND HOPE THAT SOMEONE HELPS THEM". I am afraid to leave my name or contact information. Please respond.

The suspect listed below is a name and description I overheard people discussing. I also heard about a lady named Cindy, a woman named Andrena Fisher and often hear theft, stalking, and other organized crime discussed.

I am terrified of this and don't understand how these people hear what's going on inside the Brown's home and observe their actions so closely without making contact. It's as if they are inside with them from the audio I have heard and the daily photos that are taken and sent out. I suppose this is a requirement of the contractor/ the person whom pays the stalkers.

They call themselves "gang-stalkers" and "handlers" they call Josh the "TI". I recently realized this meant Targeted Individual!

Hi! I impulse wrote a fanfic about Joshua and Gordon at 3am and immediately posted it as soon as I was finished. Read it and weep

Summary:  You'd think that years after the incident at Black Mesa, Joshua would stop panicking every time his father was even a few minutes late from getting home from work. You'd think he'd grow past it, learn to cope, maybe even be shocked that he'd remembered such an event even at his age. But no, he hasn't forgotten.

He's not sure if he ever will.

god so a few days ago i saw someone suggest that hlvrai!gordon takes a job as a theoretical physics professor after the black mesa incident and i can’t get it out of my head so here are some headcanons i just thought of in the shower:

in the beginning, most students like his classes cuz he’s young and pretty chill most of the time and easy to talk to

pretty soon though people realize that there’s definitely Something Going On With Him

“i swear i saw dr freeman chasing some guy in a ps4 hoodie around walgreens on saturday” “man that’s fucked up”

gordon agrees to allow bubby and coomer in as guest speakers one day and that goes.. about as well as you’d expect (coomer almost causes an explosion, bubby listens attentively for whispering students just so he can loudly tell them to shut the fuck up)

benrey hacks into gordon’s computer remotely during a lecture while gordon is projecting his screen in front of the entire class just to ask him if he’s gonna eat his leftover chinese takeout

“who was that? your boyfriend?” “no he’s just my live-in eldritch entity. don’t worry about it”

sometimes gordon will Say Things and his students can’t actually tell if he’s joking or not

tommy likes to walk sunkist around campus and once everyone figures out that he and gordon know each other they bully gordon into showing them daily pictures of sunkist

this also eventually leads to daily pictures of joshua

gordon starts using joshua as a bartering chip (he’ll bring him in on the last day before exams if everyone is passing the class)

coomer occasionally pops in to distribute complementary sodas. gordon does not ask where these come from

much to everyone’s chagrin, lecture will occasionally be cancelled last-minute for an “emergency” (aka benrey wanted to cuddle and wouldn’t let gordon leave)

sometimes these emergencies actually are emergencies, such as the time when bubby and coomer lit their stove on fire and decided to call gordon instead of the fire department

students from all different majors begin taking gordon’s classes just for the Experience

“i have adhd and if i’m not constantly moving i’ll die so today we are going to be playing basketball as part of our lesson. if you get a question right you get a chance to throw a ball into the H E L L P I T and score a point for your team”

someone discovers justintv. gordon never hears the end of it

tommy sits in on his lectures every now and then and always ends up having serious discussions with different groups of students about beyblades

he puts smiley stickers on all the papers gordon grades that get As

this incentivizes more people to get As

gordon’s pass rate every semester is usually close to 100%. his classes aren’t particularly easy, but attendance is always high because it becomes apparent over time that something absolutely buckwild is bound to go down and nobody wants to miss it

this, of course, excludes the day when gordon arrived to an empty classroom. he later learned that it was because benrey stood outside the door for a half hour beforehand and physically barred anyone who wouldn’t present him with their passport from entering

students get tricked into taking thorough notes by listening for details to support their personal theories about gordon’s past

none of them come even remotely close to guessing the truth but gordon gets amusement out of the rumors regardless

whenever he starts to feel bored he’ll throw them a bone just to see where they’ll take it (“make sure you guys remember the concept of wave-particle duality in case you ever end up fighting for your life on an alien planet like i did” “ok now we KNOW he’s just fucking with us”)

he never dips below five stars on ratemyprofessor

Fancy Suit Among The Woes

Disclaimer: I am not Spanish. Feel free to let me know if anything is incorrect or phrases are used wrong. Also I'm doing this on mobile so forgive the appearance haha.

Sofía had spent her morning much more calmly than any of her others. Work wouldn't be starting as early for her today, something about her overtime needing to be cut down temporarily. Despite this, she still wore her uniform, kept her hair tied, and applied her makeup before even considering to take a seat and a sip of her coffee. "Another long day ahead..." she found herself thinking, "And yet... no amount of hours will ever be enough, will they?"

To a degree, that's how it always seemed. Working miserable hours all day every day for a decade had given her nothing more than headache after headache and just enough for them to live comfortably. She let out a sigh, it was too much to mull over... Nothing good came from thinking too much about the negative, but positive thoughts always seemed just out of reach for her these days...

And that was when Joshua came by, fingers fidgeting against one another and his expression displaying a slight anxiety.

"Ah, morning, mijo..." She brushed a stray hair behind her ear, mouth pressed into a small smile. "Didn't think you'd be up so early, you don't have school today."

Her son lowered his head, thinking over his words carefully. "... M-mom, I... I was, uh... You aren't b-busy, are you?"

He seemed... troubled by something. Sofía raised a brow. "No, niño. Are you well? You look tired and sick..." She placed a gentle hand on his forehead, only for him to brush it away.

"I'm fine, I'm f-fine, just... I... I n-need to tell you, uh... a l-little something... but you have to p-promise me, you... you w-won't be w-worried, okay?"

And now was the time to worry. But, as a mother, Sofía has mastered the art of keeping a calm appearance in the face of any peril. Of course, knowing Joshua, it wouldn't be anything too serious. He was never the type to get into trouble.

God, how she wished that were still the case.

"I promise. You can tell mamá anything, cariño."

And here marked the moment where Sofía experienced something every mother fears: helplessness. For no other word held a candle to what she felt as her son went on about his activities for the past few months. News about her long-missing husband, paranoia over somebody spying on him, fears and desperation surrounding what one could only describe as Pandora's box, all of it came forth at once from the tired boy's lips. She followed the whole tale as closely as she could, maintaining her calm façade to not discourage him.

By the end of it all, all the mother could think to do was hold him close. What else could she do but reassure him? Let him know she was there for him at that moment and he would be safe... Provide him with some knowledge that everything would be alright.

And yet, here she was hours later, performing her tasks as fears crept along the dark corners of her mind. "Gordon... what infierno have you fallen into?" She pondered, jotting down numbers and dates from a conversation she half-listened to. It hadn't been enough that her son simply told her, she had to see the device for herself. A tangle of complicated wires and a computer that he refused to shut off, for fear it would never turn back on. And then, there were the chat logs...

The woman pinched the bridge of her nose, removing her glasses. What was she going to do? What could she possibly do? Her son was going through Hell itself to find Gordon, and she could do nothing else but work. What kind of a mother was she?

"What kind indeed, miss Rivera."

Sofía felt an odd chill fill the room around her, the air growing frigid. Confused, she placed her glasses back on and gazed up, where a man stood right before her desk. He was dressed sharply, as everyone else was in the office, skin pale as a sheet, black hair peppered with white, and he held a briefcase of some kind. However, something seemed... unnatural about him, as if his features were juuust unnerving enough to make her uncomfortable.

"A long... day, isn't it, miss Rivera?"

"I..." She narrowed her eyes. "Mrs Freeman. I still have his ring, I still hold his name."

"Ah... ha ha... Of course, how... very silly of me." The man chuckled, approaching a tad closer to stare down at her. "I've heard that there was... shall we say, "trouble in paradise"?"

"¿Qué-? What do you want? I am busy!"

"Oh, not at the moment, I... assure you. See, I knew Gordon before his... untimely departure from this realm. He was... an interesting man, shall we say?"

"¡Ay! He still is! Mi hi-... My son showed me, he has proof mi amado is still alive!"

"I... do not doubt that. However, it is... important to note that retrieving him at this point is... around impossible."

"... Qu-... What do you mean? Who are you?"

"An... old acquaintance of his, miss... Mrs Freeman. I do have some rather... good news, however."

Sofía tilted her head slightly, staring at the man intently as he went on.

"I can provide you with... shall we say, a different employment? One where answers surrounding your husband will be... more accessible for you to find."

The woman's eyes widened, taking a quick glance at the rest of her co-workers, who seemed to be completely frozen in place. "...¡El diablo...!" She muttered in shock. "You come to me... offering me a deal? What do you want from me?"

Another chuckle escaped the man. "I simply wish to help. Provide you with closure and... solace. Allow you to help your brave son. Or, of course... you could always stay here and... fret over the unknown."

She sat up in her seat, thinking over his words carefully. A new job? What kind of job would bring her closer to the truth? Who was this man? How did he know her husband? Her son? How does he know her?

... What is he leaving out of this bargain? There had to be some kind of catch, but...

Even with all that plaguing her mind, the woman still found herself holding out a trembling hand to shake. "Si... I... accept."

The man grinned, placing his freezing hand into hers. "I knew you'd make... the right choice, Mrs Freeman." Her pulled her up to stand, the desk and their surroundings melting away like candlewax. "Now, I'll be the one to inform your... employers that you've found elsewhere to work."

"A-ay, where...?"

"And, while I am at it, I'll make sure to... provide you with your first task. I know you'll do just fine, Mrs Freeman."
