The Delhi High Court has fixed a date for hearing Sushant Singh Rajput's father's petition against the film Nyay: The Justice: Report.
The Delhi High Court has scheduled a hearing on Sushant Singh Rajput's father's petition against Nyay: The Justice. The Delhi High Court has scheduled a hearing on February 12, 2024, in response to a plea by the late actor's father, Krishna Kishore Singh, in a legal struggle involving the film Nyay: The Justice, supposedly based on the life of Sushant Singh Rajput. This comes after the court had refused to stop the film's broadcast in July, and Singh's subsequent appeal against the denial to halt its internet streaming in August.
According to an IANS report, a division bench consisting of Justices Yashwant Varma and Ravinder Dudeja has given all parties involved time to submit their responses in the matter. Earlier this month, a division bench led by Justices Varma and Dharmesh Sharma issued notices to a number of people, including the filmmakers cited in Singh's complaint, accusing them of taking 'unfair commercial advantage' of his departed son's life. In his verdict as part of a single-judge bench, Justice C. Hari Shankar declared, "The information contained and shown in the impugned film is entirely derived from items featured in the media and, thus, constitutes publicly available information." As a result of developing a picture based on it, the defendants could not be considered to have violated any rights of Rajput, much alone the plaintiff [his father]." Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden death on June 14, 2020, shocked the nation, and the legal actions around the film are still ongoing.

Two Parallel Trends
We all must have learnt a lot about Parallel lines in Maths classes. The two lines run together and yet never meet each other but are still simultaneously running. Do not worry my post is not about these concepts. My this post is about two trends on social media with special mention to Instagram and Facebook. There is honestly no big connection in between but there is one common thing and that is “STUPIDITY”
Well lets get down to the two trends that have and are still having most attention on social Media.
1. Animal Abuse for Likes
This particular trend is till now getting a lot of attention on Instagram. Basically many Insta handles are posting pictures of Dogs who are suffering from some sort of physical problems like some are getting old, whereas some are suffering from blindness or any other problems. Stupidity is after posting the poor animal’s photo the people are writing things like “I know I am blind so I wont even get one like or share” or stuff like “Don’t you Love me? If you do please hit a like”..I tried to find a picture to serve you all as a proof but I could not but you readers can find it on Instagram.
If the particular dog is different from rest others people can help them but what is happening to gain likes the owners are using their problems as a tool to gain popularity. I am not against their problems and have some heart for them but what is happening is pure stupidity. Earlier this trend had taken place but Babies with ailments had taken place and it was a big trend. This is in a way Animal Abuse. One more thing is the people posting these things do is “Emotional blackmail” like they write “Only those do not have heart will scroll further”. This is icing on the cake. Honestly speaking if the owners posting this have a heart do something for the animals rather than misusing their problems it will benefit the poor animal.
2. Sushant Singh Rajput Case
On 14th June 2020 three years back Sushant ended his life and sparked a big outcry. Bollywood changed and so did outlook of people changed. Nepotism debate took over all sorts of media be it Print, Television or Social Media. Everywhere there was one big trend which still continues- Justice For SSR. Surprisingly many big names were dragged in this case. I will not name them as I do not wish to land in legal trouble.
I am a Sushant Fan personally speaking so much that when MS Dhoni Untold Story re-released on 12th May 2023 I again went to watch it but this time for Sushant. Alright, although I am his fan and I too want justice for him but seeing the current trend I am sorry to say Justice will not happen. Just by putting his photos on whole media Do you all think it will work? Here comes the stupidity. The Only Solution as I see is people must come collectively and actively Petition the Government and fast track this case. File a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) and put the culprits to justice. One more thing that can simultaneously be done is Boycott the movies in which Sushant’s haters are involved . Do Not give them any business and see patiently how everything falls in place hopefully.
So these were the two trends that were running parallel but together. The trends were totally different in nature but common thing was stupidity. I am not saying that it is wrong to get likes for something or justice is impossible but all I am trying to say there is a genuine and positive way to do things.

"Orissa High Court Directs Immediate Compensation for Gas Explosion Victim, Highlights Consumer Safety and Accountability"
Considering the physical, emotional, and financial toll on the petitioner, the court directed the insurance company, ICICI Lombard, to pay the petitioner Ex-Gratia Compensation of Rs. 2,00,000/- to the petitioner for the injuries sustained by him due tothe gas accident.
The court also stressed the importance of consumer safety awareness and ordered the gas agency to take proactive steps in educating consumers about LPG cylinder expiration and safety precautions.
Background
The petitioner, Sushant Behera, a daily laborer, filed a writ petition seeking ex-gratia compensation for severe injuries sustained during a gas accident caused by a leaking LPG cylinder.
The accident occurred on September 27, 2021, when the petitioner Sushant Behera was working at the residence of late Santosh Kumar Sahoo.
Both Sahoo and Behera attempted to extinguish the fire, but Sahoo later succumbed to his injuries, while the petitioner survived after significant medical treatment.
The claim for ex-gratia compensation is under the LPG insurance policy, issued by ICICI Lombard Insurance (Opposite Party No. 1), and it has been pending despite multiple applications and reminders.
Sushant Behera v. The General Manager ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. & others
W P 39989/2023
Before the High Court of Orissa at Cuttack
Heard by Hon'ble Mr. Justice S K Panigrahi J
Legal Issue
Whether the petitioner-Sushant Behera is entitled to receive ex-gratia compensation under the LPG insurance policy.
Argument of the parties
Petitioner's Argument
The accident occurred due to a gas leak from a cylinder provided by the gas agency.
The claim falls within the coverage period of the insurance policy. Despite forwarding the application to the insurer in a timely manner, there has been no response or compensation towards Claim Settlement.
Respondent’s Argument (Opposite Party No. 3):
The gas agency states they followed proper safety procedures and forwarded the claim to ICICI Lombard.
Additionally, they emphasize the importance of safety awareness among consumers and highlight the industry's practices regarding cylinder safety.
Court's Observation
The court found that the petitioner fulfilled all necessary requirements under the insurance policy.
The accident clearly fell within the insurance coverage period, and the petitioner's application had been appropriately forwarded by the gas agency.
The unjustified delay in settling the claim was viewed as a failure on the insurer's part (ICICI Lombard)to honor its obligations.
Additionally, the court underscored the role of safety measures to avoid such accidents in the future.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas should provide detailed advisories to public sector oil companies. These advisories should focus on raising public awareness about insurance provisions for victims of LPG cylinder blasts and emphasize the importance of safety training for both LPG handling personnel and customers.
The training should essentially incorporate the understanding of the contain the inherent dangers of compressed gas cylinders at the end of the LPG handling staff and customers, knowledge of how to properly move, handle and store cylinders, troubleshooting and emergency procedure in case of leak and emergency response in case of blasts.

Bombay High Court quashes LOCs issued against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and father in Sushant Singh Rajput case
The Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) plea for a stay on an order faced a setback as the High Court bench declined the request.
The Bombay High Court quashed the look-out circulars (LOCs) that were issued against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, and their father Indrajit, who is an army veteran, in connection to the Sushant Singh Rajput case. As per a report in Live Law India, the court scrutinized the Central Bureau of Investigation's rationale, challenging the automatic issuance of LOCs upon FIR registration. The order was announced by Justice Revati Mohite Dere and Manjusha Deshpande.
As per a report in PTI, the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) plea for a stay on an order faced a setback as the High Court bench declined the request.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his residence in June 2020. Following this, Mumbai police started a probe after registering an Accidental Death report. However, Rajput's father alleged abetment to suicide against Rhea Chakraborty and her family members in Bihar.
Both Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty were arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau in drugs related case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. They were granted bail, later.
Subsequently, the CBI took over the investigation, with the issuance of Lookout Circulars (LOCs) against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and her father in August 2020. Furthermore, in September 2023, the High Court temporarily suspended the LOC against Rhea's brother, Showik, enabling him to travel overseas.

CBI Opposes Suspension of Look Out Circular Against Actor Rhea Chakraborty
Introduction: The legal saga surrounding actor Rhea Chakraborty takes a new turn as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) stands against the suspension of a Look Out Circular (LOC) sought by the actress. Chakraborty, entangled in the aftermath of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, faces prosecution in a drug case registered by the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB). Hey Kameeni Trailer: Drishika Chander And Asheema Vardhaan Starrer Hey Kameeni Official Trailer Bagheera Teaser Out: Srii Murali Promises an Action-Packed Entertainer, Fans Can’t Keep Calm
The Legal Battle Unfolds:
Chakraborty's plea, presented before the Bombay High Court, seeks relief from the standing LOC hindering her travel plans. Advocates Abhinav Chandrachud and Prasanna Bhangale argue that the CBI, despite registering an FIR, has not summoned the actress for questioning or filed any chargesheet in the three years since the case's inception. https://www.instagram.com/p/CzT1-iDSuI2/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MjM0N2Q2NDBjYg==
The Need for Relief:
Chakraborty's legal team asserts that she requires a brief suspension of the LOC to travel to Dubai for a brand endorsement. However, the CBI opposes this plea on jurisdictional grounds, highlighting the FIR's origin in Patna and its investigation being conducted by CBI in Delhi, beyond the Bombay High Court's jurisdiction.
CBI's Standpoint:
Advocate Shreeram Shirsat, representing the CBI, emphasizes the legal jurisdiction mismatch between the FIR's filing location and the investigative jurisdiction. This forms the core argument against granting relief to Chakraborty, creating a legal impasse.
High Court's Inquiry:
In response to Chakraborty's plea, the bench of Justices Ajay Gadkari and Shyam Chandak raises questions about the actress's travel history in recent years. Chakraborty's legal team highlights the special court's prior permissions for travel, emphasizing the impact of the standing LOC on her ability to exercise these granted permissions.
Next Legal Steps:
With the CBI opposing the relief sought by Chakraborty, the case is set for further deliberation on December 20. The legal tussle brings to light the complexities surrounding the actress's legal predicament, entwined with the broader narrative of the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Rhea Chakraborty's Legal Journey:
The legal battle is not new to Rhea Chakraborty, who faced significant scrutiny and spent 28 days in Byculla jail on charges related to procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress reflects on her jail term, describing the unique experiences and resilience observed among the incarcerated women.
Insights from Jail:
Chakraborty shares her perspective on the resilience and happiness found within the prison community. Despite the challenging circumstances, the women she encountered knew how to appreciate small moments and find joy in their shared experiences. Conclusion: As Rhea Chakraborty navigates the legal complexities surrounding her, the opposition from the CBI adds another layer to the ongoing legal drama. The upcoming hearing on December 20 will further unfold the intricacies of this case, shedding light on the jurisdictional challenges and the actress's quest for temporary relief. Research and Planning For Trailers: Part 7- Casting for Trailers
Last year we had a lot of problems with our casting so as to prevent the same things from happening again I made sure that we started auditions as soon as we finished the shot divisions.
The first person character I wanted to caste was Suhana. She is the main character of our film. We needed to find someone who was pretty and who had duality while acting. This is because Suhana’s character has two sides- her sweet side which is fake and her cruel side which is who she really is. Suhana’s character is supposed to be deceiving. Her pretty face is the complete opposite of who she truly is which is cruel, selfish and arrogant. The first person that came to mind while searching for actors and who we eventually casted was Sakshi Kamath. Sakshi was the perfect choice for this role. She had the looks and duality to play this character.
Image of Sakshi Kamath who plays the role of Suhana-
The next person who I wanted to cast was Isha. Isha is a very confident and sassy person. She is also witty and bold. I wanted an actor who was exactly like Isha in real life. The person who I casted was Ichcha Sharma. It was actually the easiest casting out of all the characters. While writing the script I knew that Isha had to be played by her as she was the only one who could do justice to the character.
Image of Ichcha Sharma who plays the role of Isha-
The next character that I wanted to cast was Naisha. Naisha is a tech geek who is smart and quiet. She has always envied Suhana. We needed to find someone who could play this unique character. I finally casted Naysa Khemlani.
Image of Naysa Khemlani who plays the role of Naisha-
After finalising all the girl characters, I started to find the perfect cast for the boy characters.
Varun was the first male actor I casted. At first I was going to cast Jiya’s friend Harsh but we then found out that he was unavailable on the shoot dates. I was a bit stressed out as I could not find anyone who could play this character well. Finally I chose Sandesh Ramraje. Sandesh is the only person in the entire cast who has many experiences in acting. Varun is a very complex character with many layers and we needed someone to play his character the right way in order to portray the emotions.
Image of Harsh who was originally going to play the role of Varun-
Image of Sandesh Ramraje who plays the role of Varun-
Sushant was the hardest to caste. We had two people in mind for this role. My first choice was Samarth kakad. Unfortunately, he was a bit skeptical to take on this role and he was unavailable during our shoot dates. For a long time I could not find anyone who was comfortable to play the role of Sushant. Sushant is a deceiving character in our film. He appears to be gentle, quiet, hardworking and kind but in reality is a terrible person. Similar to Suhana’s character. The reason many people did not want to play this role is because Suahant sexually assaults a girl at a party. No one wanted to play the role of a rapist and that is why it took the longest to cast Sushant. Finally I found Jaden Smith, he was brave enough to play this terrible character.
Image of Samarth Kakad who was originally going to play Sushant-
Image of Jaden Smith who plays the role of Sushant-
Our final character that we had to cast was the girl who gets sexually assaulted by Sushant. We needed someone shorter and smaller compared to Jaden. That is why I decided to cast Ishika Kasturi. We needed her for one short scene where Sushant bangs his hand on the wall to trap the girl.
Image of Ishika Kasturi-
I was very glad that we had finalised the cast way before the shoot dates. This way we were prepared and not panicking last minute unlike last time. After casting we moved onto locations.

Rhea Chakraborty opens up on her life in jail, her first meal in prison and toilet facilities; also reveals that she danced on ‘Naagin Gin Gin’ when she got bail, at the request of her cell mates
4 years ago, Rhea Chakraborty was declared the biggest villain of India after Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise. A section of the media and aam junta blamed her for his death. She even got arrested and had to spend nearly a month in jail. Rhea opened up about this episode in a conversation with author Chetan Bhagat on his show 'Deeptalk With Chetan Bhagat'.
Rhea Chakrabotry began by saying, “Due to COVID rules, I had to be in solitary confinement for 14 days. I was the only one in the room. I was asked if I’d like to have lunch. I was so hungry and tired that I ate whatever was given to me.” What was on the menu? “There was roti and capsicum ki subzi, which was just capsicum in water. It didn’t strike me at that point.”
She also said how she managed to remain positive during her ordeal, “I started feeling grateful when I saw that many prisoners don’t have family support. Or they don’t have Rs. 5,000 or Rs. 10,000 for their bail. At least, I have my family and friends. I told myself, ‘You will get justice. You will get bail. You have not done anything wrong. I have so much to learn from these women while I am here. Why am I wasting my time sulking about what is not in my control?’.”
Chetan Bhagat asked about the toilet facility in the jails. She said, “Jahan pe aap sote ho, uske bagal mein hi hota hai. It’s obviously not the best. It’s one of the hardest parts about being in jail.” She, however, added, “The mental trauma is so much harder that the physical trauma starts paling in front of it. You think ‘Ganda bathroom toh manage kar lungi’.”
Rhea Chakraborty talked further about her jail life, “There’s a canteen in jail from where you can buy biscuits. Kabhi kabhi chana bhi mil jaayega. You get a money order from your family of Rs. 5,000 a month. You have to manage in that amount. Un paiso se paani bhi aap kharid sakte ho, which is better than the tap water in jail. Rs. 2,500 toh usme hi chala jaata tha.”
As for meal times, she answered, “You get breakfast at 6 am, lunch at 11 am and you get dinner at 2 pm because it goes with the British way of things. They open the gates at 6 am and lock you at 5 pm. Until then, you can take the shower, go to the library etc.”
Rhea continued, “Most people save their dinner and have it at 7-8 pm. However, I changed my whole cycle. Yeh khana toh waise bhi khaya nahin jaayega. Garam hoga toh fir bhi khaya jaayega. Thanda toh bilkul nahin khaya jaayega. Hence, I started waking up at 4 am and finishing my dinner at 2 pm.”
And what was her reaction once she got bail? Rhea Chakraborty stated, “I had promised all the girls in the jail that I’ll dance for them the day I get bail. They were like ‘Aap heroine ho. Aap dance kar ke batao’. However, I was heartbroken as my brother didn’t get bail. The jailer came up to me and said, ‘I have told them that you won’t dance’. But I told the jailer, ‘I want to (dance) for them because when am I going to see these women again? If I can give them a little bit of happiness in their otherwise hopeless lives, I want to give them. Hence, I danced for them. I did a full-on Naagin dance, that too on the floor, on the song ‘Naagin Gin Gin’. Everyone did a dance performance with me. They were so happy that I was going home. They told me, ‘Just be happy. Have a good life’.”
While the media made life difficult for her, Rhea Chakraborty also remarked, “The only positive aspect of having a media glare was that things moved faster.”
