It was thirty minutes until their set. Martian Haze's first performance if 2023. They'd been a band for years now with no real success to show for it. Even this gig was unpaid, but it was for a good cause and gave them publicity. Though, honestly, Jay just did it because he loved making music with his bandmates.

Martian Haze couldn't be called consistent in their production, but in tradition they never failed. Their warm up ritual was tried and true, starting with a bottle of something; strong and always shared. Jay was big on his mantras, too, and forced his friends to join in with him every time.

Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022! ⛄ Chapter 41: The Man Who Invented Christmas 🦌 This movie is one that seems to just continue going higher and higher in my list each year, I just, really enjoy this movie. This somewhat fanciful version of Charles Dickens writing of the immortal "A Christmas Carol" is just so very charming and entertaining, and has many good performances. And Christopher Plummer shines as (essentially) Scrooge, though most of the cast do an excellent job. The band was a passion project. A constant in Jayesh's life since highschool. Despite the gaps in their history, it was the most committed to anything Jay had ever been. A lot of it was his bandmates, some of the best friends he had. Kaden and Justin both stood by him, despite Martian Haze's lack of success as a a group. "We have a gig coming up... I mean, we're not getting paid..." That was usually the case. "...but it's for charity. A good cause..." He was rambling but eventually came to his point. "So, we gotta practice bud."
