Some WoW Classic Realms Are Already Getting Too Full
Blizzard announced recently that WoW Classic fans will want to plan ahead for which realms they'll be playing on, as some of them will be facing dramatically large login queues upon launch, with expectations of queues in excess of 10,000 players for at least two different realms. WoW Classic is a departure from the usual Blizzard philosophy of game development as the company will resurrect a period of time during the long tenure of World of Warcraft's MMORPG dominance and preserve virtually everything about it - including some of the less-loved elements and WoW Classic bugs that were present originally. To get more news about buy wow gold shadowlands, you can visit lootwowgold official website.
Naturally, that makes WoW Classic an offering that isn't really for everyone, but hype for the game has nevertheless persisted in the face of claims that the game might be too niche to thrive. Concerns over whether or not Blizzard would be cannibalizing its own current WoW playerbase haven't dissipated, but recent news regarding the sheer amount of people queuing up to give WoW Classic a try are heartening for those who worry a Classic iteration spells eventual doom for the long-standing MMO.
According to Blizzard, however, WoW Classic appears to be in no danger of anything short of a smashing launch success - as long as players are careful about which realm they choose for their characters. Blizzard issued a warning recently on Battle.net that instructed players to change server from a specific one that has been popular during the character name reservation period. According to community manager Kaivax, the Hero server faces some serious potential issues should the number of players currently committed to it attempt to log-in during the launch period:
Blizzard opened up the Stalagg realm in an effort to stymie the problem before it occurred, but players have been reluctant to switch realms, as Herod has been an early favorite in the community that has even had fan-made content written about its greatness. Many players are simply fans of the name, and the NA-based realm faces a launch crisis if its popularity persists. Over on the EU side of things, there's another problem - Shazzrah is facing a similar clog of players, with the proposed solution being to move over to the Gehennas realm.

Matt Kim IGN muhabiridir. Ona Twitter'dan ulaşabilirsiniz. ‼️BREAKING NEWS‼️ "Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley will open in WoW Classic simultaneously on all realms the week of December 10. At the same time, Elemental Invasions will occur in Kalimdor, with Blazing, Thundering, Watery, and Whirling Invaders appearing in Un’goro Crater, Azshara, Winterspring, and Silithus respectively. We’ve been following the deadly deeds of the Classic community closely over the last week as the Honor system sparked an impressive amount of World PvP on PvP realms, and we’re excited to see what might transpire over the next three weeks. Nonetheless, like many of you, we can’t wait to charge into some battlegrounds, so we’ve detached this content unlock from the plan we previously announced. Blackwing Lair and Darkmoon Faire are coming in early 2020. We’ll have an exact timestamp for this content unlock to share with you in early December. See you there!" - Kaivax (Blizzard Community Manager) From @wowclassicnews

WoW Retail: Blizzard geht Großhändlern an den Kragen
#WoW #Wirtschaft Einige Spieler spielen die World of Warcraft mit starkem Wirtschaftsfokus.
World of Warcraft’s suspected DDoS attacker has been arrested
Blizzard, the developers of World of Warcraft Classic, has revealed that a person suspected of orchestrating a disruptive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack against the games’ servers has been arrested.
In a Blizzard forum post, community manager Kaivax told players that the suspected perpetrator had been identified and arrested.
Tumblr media
“Immediately after the Distributed Denial of Service attacks against our game service began, the Blizzard Security Team worked around the clock with local and international law enforcement agencies to track down the source of the DDoS. It is our understanding that, within a few days, authorities were able to successfully identify and arrest a suspect.”
Blizzard shared no details related to the identity of the person arrested, or which country they were based in.
What we do know, however, is that Blizzard’s customer service team confirmed that its servers were under attack on September 7th, trying the patience of some players who found themselves unexpectedly disconnected from the game and unable to reconnect.
Overwatch was also reportedly affected by the DDoS attack, with some users being booted out of games and finding themselves unable to log back in.
At the time, a Twitter account calling itself UKDrillas claimed responsibility for the attack against Blizzard as well as a DDoS attack which briefly overloaded Wikipedia. Prior to Twitter disabling its account, UKDrillas posted a series of tweets bragging about its attacks.
Tumblr media
Clues left by UKDrillas – and they go beyond the fact they have “UK” in their account handle – strongly suggest that whoever was behind the account (and thus likely to responsible for the DDoS attacks) is based in the United Kingdom.
If Blizzard is right and police have arrested the person responsible for the DDoS attacks against World of Warcraft Classic then I certainly wouldn’t want to be wearing the suspect’s shoes.
Many DDoS attacks are not particularly sophisticated, and can be perpetrated by maliciously-minded gamers showing off to their buddies with relative ease. But the financial damage and inconvenience caused by a DDoS attack can be considerable, and in the past has sometimes resulted in the perpetrators being imprisoned for multiple years.
You may think it’s easy to do. You may think it’s funny. You may think it’s unlikely that you will ever be identified and brought to justice. But, if you are caught and found guilty, there’s a chance that the sentence you receive will cast a shadow over the rest of your life.
You will have plenty of time to consider whether it was really worth it. Don’t do it.

Blizzard to World of Warcraft Classic players
Though World of Warcraft Classic won’t be widely available until later this year, many players received access to the game via its beta launch last week. Days later, Blizzard has published a list of non-issues that players keep reporting as bugs, advising these players that ‘the nature’ of the game ‘sometimes invokes different memories for different players…’ Those discrepancies have resulted in some players perceiving normal gameplay as buggy. To get more news about safe wow classic gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website. The currently closed-beta World of Warcraft Classic game offers a mostly vanilla WoW experience, enabling players to enjoy the game as it existed more than a decade ago. The World of Warcraft that actually existed in 2006 is different than the game some players remember having played, though, and it included elements that many fans now view as bugs. In a post on Battle.net, Blizzard’s community manager ‘Kaivax’ said, ‘As we’ve discussed before, the nature of WoW Classic sometimes invokes different memories for different players, and this leads to certain misconceptions for some about what is or isn’t working as intended.’ The company has provided a list of the most commonly reported gameplay elements that Classic players are reporting as bugs, including warrior health regeneration rates, the lack of quick objectives and POI tracking on the map/minimap, the presence of a dot as the marker for completed quests on the minimap, fast running NPCs, and slow creature respawn rates (full list below). The advisory highlights the fact that World of Warcraft is a 15-year-old game and that its earliest form contains elements that are best left in the past. Nostalgia, as powerful as it is, may not reflect reality as it actually existed and, if Blizzard’s note is any indication, many players are facing that incongruity.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands’ pre-patch has hit the PTR
Blizzard is rolling out World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' pre-patch on its playable test region. You don't need beta access for this one, so you can hop into Blizzard's game client and start your download.
The content currently being tested in this WoW: Shadowlands pre-patch update are core class updates, in-game navigation improvements, the new player experience, and character creation and customisation. There's also a limited-time Scourge Invasion you can try out. Wowhead has data-mined the event and has found Epic tier loot from special Undead rares in Icecrown. Apparently, there are bosses from Icecrown Citadel, Naxxramas, and Northrend dungeons, too.
There's not long to wait for more content, either. In a post on WoW's forums, community manager Kaivax explains that we're in week one of the pre-patch and that we'll move onto week two on August 13, which isn't long at all. We don't know what changes that'll bring just yet, but Blizzard did say that WoW's corruption system would get cut in a Shadowlands pre-patch, so we might see something to do with that.

Blizzard explains what’s going on with controller support in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands • Eurogamer.net
Blizzard is making a push with World of Warcraft controller support for upcoming expansion Shadowlands. But, as executive producer John Hight explained to me, this isn’t about fitting the game on a PlayStation or Xbox pad. It’s about broadening input options for players with disabilities.
“So what we’re doing,” John Hight told me, “is enabling a lot of the things required for our add-on community to build add-ons for controller support. And it isn’t just controllers: we’re looking at a number of different devices. But our focus was not to try and make WoW feel like a console game but rather for players with disabilities to have more accessible input devices.
“The first step for us was, ‘Hey, there’s a lot of signals these controllers – or these devices – use that people can’t get at easily so let’s first enable that,’ and we’re trying to work closely with some add-on builders to let them know it’s coming. We feel like what will happen is, as these devices come out – hopefully we’re going to see even more innovative devices so everybody can participate, not just in WoW but in the online community in general – that we’ve provided the sufficient hooks for them to be able to integrate with the game.”
Among the devices being looked at are the wonderful Xbox Adaptive Controller, WoW community manager Kaivax mentioned in April. “We always want to make WoW more widely accessible,” Kaivax said, “so in Shadowlands, we’re attempting to add some support for keybinds, camera, and turning a character on controllers such as the Xbox Adaptive Controller.”

I… I would play that.
It’s an admirable move which cannot help beg the question: Will we ever see the 16-year-old PC game on consoles?
“It’s a great question,” said Hight. “It’s a question I ask our team from time to time. My background actually is from console. I was responsible for Diablo 3 console and I worked for Sony for many years before that. I love that platform. There’s part of me that would love to be able to play WoW from my couch and kick back. But the important thing is if we were ever to do something like that, it feels right.
“In the case of Diablo 3, I felt pretty confident we had a good plan for making that gameplay work well on console. So if we were ever to do something like that [with WoW], I’d want to see a good, solid prototype that showed me we could all play our characters and feel we had good command over them, and could experience the world smoothly and things could be visually as enticing as they are on PC.”
Could the rapidly-approaching next generation of consoles – PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X – offer a solution? Consider Activision Blizzard successfully runs online games Destiny and Overwatch on console, and there’s always a glimmer of hope. WoW, however, was designed for PC and is a much bigger beast.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the game’s eighth expansion, is due before the end of the year. Among fairly standard-by-now expansion features like a whole new area, which takes place in a kind of afterlife, excitingly, it will do a few unusual things like reduce the game’s level cap. It will actually cut the level-cap in half. It’s an effort by Blizzard to make the numbers more manageable again.
