The Wonder Tower

The episode starts with a modified version of the flyaround cutscene from the SM64 opening, but with the castle replaced by the Tower, no Lakitu, and ending on everyone standing at the entrance instead of popping out of the starting pipe.

Cubot activates his communicator, which was repaired by Phineas and Ferb, "Okay, we're about to unlock the tower. Everything ready on your end?"

The scene cuts to the Koopa Concert, where Castle Bowser has moved to the narrow end of the Zone's Wedge shape, flanked by a fleet of Airships and an army on the ground.

"The Koopa Troop's ready to rumble. You guys just worry about that tower, we'll handle whatever happens out here."

Another cut to the Undersea Kingdom. While they don't have a means of communicating with the main group, they did notice the Koopa Troop very clearly mobilizing, and their own forces have made preparations as well, with Queen Sonta herself taking up the Storm Trident (or at least a Wonder-formed replica) and leading the charge.

In the Grey Fields, Floyd, Bob and Toad hover near one of the barriers, with Floyd sending an uncharacteristically (especially now) fierce glare in the general direction of Muppetopia. They've also somehow managed to rally some of the other ghosts.

The more villainous Trigger Characters are on the move as well, with Kermit and Old King Winter having gone straight to the center in the hopes of stopping the group and Metal Madness sending some of his troops to investigate all the commotion. Peach is still as immobile as ever though.

Back with the group, Cubot gives a thumbs up, and they step forward to present the Seeds.

Kamek holds the Green Seed, given freely by Bowser.

Meggy holds Purple, won from Sonata.

Marcy holds Red, earned by reigniting Floyd's passion... such as it is.

Sig holds Orange, a promise to an old friend.

SMG4 holds Yellow, a reminder of what they've lost.

Schezo holds Cyan, a light in their darkest hour.

And Mario holds Blue, cut from the belly of the puppetmaster.

As one, the seeds slowly rise above their heads, spinning rapidly, and the emblem on the door disappears in a shower of sparkles. The barriers all throughout the kingdom also slowly begin to lower as well. The seeds drop down again, and everyone puts them away in case they need them later. Mario, SMG4 and Meggy, the last remaining members of the main SMG4 Crew, firmly nod to one another before stepping forward and pushing the double doors open together.

As everyone enters the tower, they don't notice Creep tentacles slowly rising from the moat... though honestly given what they know about all this they probably at least expect that it happened.

Inside the tower... is the castle lobby, just as bright and cheerful as ever. Though, there is the small matter of nearly all the doors being missing and replaced by plain wall. Well, all except...

4 groans at the sight of the Secret Slide door, "Of course. Couldn't have used the actual second floor entrance for your creepy nostalgia lobby's threshold, nooo. It just had to be my room."

Mario looks around to see if anything else is different, and spots a Talking Flower where Toad would normally stand, "Hello!"

"̷̼̦̿̇O̷̫͒͛̃̌̕͝n̷̢͙̟͚̙̤̎̏̕ẃ̵̰̯̟̒̃̈́ͅa̷͈̳̓̿̆̀̒͂̀͝r̴͈̻̟̈́̔͛͆̈̈ḑ̵̨̹̣̮̱͑ ̵͖̯̎͊́̀̄̊̂͘ȁ̴̖͙̩̙̿̿̆͜ͅn̶̤̼̪̭͚̔́͐d̶͓̆͝ ̵̳̘̳̻͍̺̊̃̍͒̅̌͠U̶̝̺̲̟͙͌͌͆̌̽̑̓͜p̶̦̾̏̓̀͝w̴̡͎̞̤͌͑̈́͗͐̈́̊͝ḁ̸̪̗̲͂͛̽̈́̕ř̷̨̠̻̹̞͕d̸̰̦͖̩͈̯̠̼̎̀́̾̈̕͘!̷̨̝̈́́̆"̴̡͎̘̼̺͖͖̏͒ͅ

"Uh... sure."

Simultaneously motivated and creeped out, Mario moonwalks away and rejoins the rest of the group up the stairs.

4 reaches for the doorknob, but hesitates, "..."

"4? You okay?"

"...I'm fine Meggy. Just...bad memories." he shakes himself off and grabs the knob, "Okay, everyone stay on your toes. There's no telling what's beyond this door."

And finally he opens it, and... well, I'm gonna be real, what they get is a surreal Wonder Effect platforming musical montage with a side of Memes, because Super Mario Bros Wonder, SMG4 and Phineas and Ferb getting mixed necessitates such a thing. I'm not a song writer and this is a written medium so I can't really show it off properly, but I can present you with this:

Meanwhile outside, the barriers have almost lowered fully during the length of the montage, and the various factions are sizing each other up now that they can properly see each-other but still can't cross over yet. Additionally, the Creep tentacles are now at the scale they were by the climax of IGBP and still spreading across the castle grounds.

After several more seconds, the barriers finally fully drop and the standoff immediately breaks, with the Creep tentacles and Moldy Piranhas making the first move to the surprise of no-one. The Koopa Troop, Merpeople and ghosts quickly clock each other as allies, while the robots, Muppets and ice people seem significantly less inclined to team up with anyone.

As the battle rages, Metal Madness quickly realizes that the Koopa Troop and their massive leader are the primary threats to his operation, so he detaches from his main base and assumes his airborne Metal Overlord form to challenge Castle Bowser directly.

Bowser, being Bowser, grins when he sees the enormous metallic dragon charging towards him, "Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!"

Beneath this clash of titans, a somewhat smaller giant lays waste to the battlefield. As it turns out, Sonata is able to operate on land, transforming her tail into legs (somehow with the same light armor as her upper body Because Magic) and a long, trailing organic skirt, while still remaining at her usual massive size. She seamlessly alternates between storm magic, sonic attacks, strikes with her trident, and simply crushing her foes underfoot in an intricate dance.

At least, until something grabs her leg and nearly trips her up. She looks down at the offender and finds an arm made of shadows rising from the ground. She leers at it like it's some sort of particularly ugly bug and stomps it just as fiercely, then turns to find its master charging towards her with a sword in hand and several more shadow arms fanned out behind him. She moves to accept his challenge...until a black-and-white blur shoots in and stops between them, becoming a woman in a black dress wielding a pair of katana. And even though her back is to Sonata, she can feel the rage coming off her.

"One side, Lils. The frog's mine."

Sonata acquiesces, moving on since the ghost woman seems to have things well in hand, but pauses in confusion a moment later, "'Lils?'"

She doesn't have time to contemplate this, as a massive wave of Ice Magic blasts towards her. She blows it apart with an amplified high note, finding that the source was a certain little blue man dressed as a king, flanked by what seemed a gaggle of similarly icy children, the youngest of which pulled at her buried memories in a way that hurt.

"Well, I suppose you're my opponent then."

Back in the tower, the group has finally stumbled their way up to the top floors and out of the Wonder Effect areas and collapsed in a heap, all thoroughly exhausted from all the transformations, bizarre physics, and just plain climbing they had to endure. Well, almost all of them.

"That was awesome! Can we go again?" everyone turns to glare at Phineas, "...so that's a 'no.'"

After a bit of time to recover, the group gets back up and looks around at where exactly they are. It's a large, dark hall, with pillars pulled from the old big mirror room standing in rows on either side of the carpet. Since there's nowhere to go but forward into the dark, they do so, cautiously eyeing the shadows.

As you might expect from a room like this, eventually there's some sort of movement in the darkness, and soon enough something blue and red lunges at them, intercepted by Marcy's blades and quickly retreating before another tries its luck with Sig, hitting a shield formed with a hasty call of "Robin's Egg!"

This goes on for a few more attacks, and 4 put's 2 and 2 together and immediately regrets it, "Please be wrong please be wrong please be wrong-"

Eventually the onslaught ends, and the room lights up from an unknown source. The walls and ceiling are revealed to be absolutely coated in Creep, complete with massive fleshy eyes and toothy maws, and standing between them and the far door are exactly who you think, stuck in their SM64 models and also covered in Creep.

"GAHD DAMMIT!"

...I probably should write some kind of emotionally charged boss fight, but just look at them! Look at those obvious weak points! Also you just know they're pouring most of their power into fighting for control so the group isn't even fighting properly Admin-level opponents. The fight goes pretty much how you expect.

As the detached Creep fades away shrieking, Domain and Forum slowly crumple to the ground, with 4 and Meggy rushing over to support them. They reassume their Modern Mario designs, though noticeably more transparent than usual and occasionally flickering and glitching.

Apparently when they investigated the tower back when all of this started, they were caught off-guard by the thing inhabiting Emulator's body. She used some of the Creep to take control of their bodies, though thankfully since it was an external force their minds stayed intact. Still, it clearly took a toll, and they won't exactly be able to meaningfully contribute in what's to come.

The only way to go now, is forward.

At the other end of the hall is a staircase that leads another set of double doors, and when they open them they reach a large, circular room, with an open balcony on the other side that reveals they're now at the very top of the tower, with the battle raging below. in the center is a strange mass of Creep.

As the last of the group passes through, tendrils reach out and cover the door, and a voice calls out, "Well now, I wasn't expecting you to get up here so soon. I've still got juuuust a bit of work to make myself presentable."

Seeing as she's apparently going to give the group time to prepare, they do so, circling around to surround the mass in the middle since it's so clearly where she's going to come from. Ferb ends up closest to the balcony, and can't help but look down at the battle.

"Beautiful, isn't it? I warned her that her little 'plan' to seal us away would just cause more chaos in the end."

"Now then, I've finally got my new look sorted out, and I know exactly what you're here for. If you really think you can take this world and my Lovely Emmy back, then let's see what you've got."

With that, the fleshy mass unfurls like a particularly disgusting flower, and a blindingly bright pink light emanates from it, eventually dimming to reveal the monster beneath.

"Hope you brought some popcorn, cause iiiiit's-"
