Prism

I finally got these! It was a fight with my game, but it was worth it. I wanted to get more, but it crashed.

Been wanting to do these forever now since Prism is one of my favorite songs. But, the timing couldn't be better, as I have a headcanon to share this time.

I got Ki'to a new DNC vfx pack today since he'll be laying down his blade in favor of chakrams in Tural.

"The world had need of me, and so I took up arms to fight. A shield for a world in peril. But now that I am an adventurer once more, I'll be taking no more hits if I can help it"

And now that I'm playing through 6.2 finally, I had an idea. After being handed the crystal of light, something resonated within Ki'to's aether, and when running through Troia, he noticed his attacks no longer resembled Ranaa or Nashmeira's, but took on a crystalline, prism-like effect. More reminiscent of Hydaelyn.

And as if to answer the questions within, upon clutching Azem's stone once more, an Elpis flower made a home within his hair.

Am I waxing poetic about my hat randomly toggling on and remembering I had an Elpis flower installed on it? Yes, yes I am. Because that's how cute headcanons are made.

Introducing the Ai-Mo

Onto one of my favorite tribes, the Ai-Mo. I like these guys cause they're dark-skinned monks, which I don't think is something we're used to. Also, the Llamos look so fluffy and I just want one to run around on my palm.

First up is Lito, the new high ruler of the Ai-Mo. The old ruler was on his deathbed when he had a vision of Lito being the next ruler, and after he died, she was taken to the capital to train. Right away, conversation sparked up about the Ai-Mo taking more of a militaristic offense, and everyone wants Lito to make big decisions right away.

Aside from the stress of leadership and imposter's syndrome, Lito is determined to be a good ruler. She doesn't care about fame or glory, just about not messing up. Like most Ai-Mo, she's reserved, intelligent, and mild mannered, though she's willing and able to stand up for herself and others.

Next is Ki'to, one of the young Ai-Mo scholars who's in the capital training under the best scholars in the tribe. He and Lito become fast friends as they take classes together, and when Lito is announced as the next ruler, they remain friends, seeing as everyone else seems to treat her differently.

Ki'to is a bit more outspoken than most of the Ai-Mo. He isn't afraid to have an opinion, and he's talked over people before. He isn't rude, but sometimes he gets ahead of himself and forgets to hear others out. Other tribes consider him a know-it-all.

Now we have Sofi, a very stereotypical Ai-Mo in the regard that she's sweet, shy, and unlikely to talk over someone. She tries not to be a pushover, but people still take advantage of her docile nature, and the fact that she doesn't know how to prevent that from happening.

Sofi and Lito are able to confide in one another. Ya know, girl talk. Whatever they say stays secret between them, and there's no judgment whatsoever. They also work to support and empower one another. It's a very healthy and accepting friendship.

Lastly is Keseedee, the son of some highly-regarded scholars. Unlike most of the Ai-Mo, Keseedee doesn't like to read, mostly because he has a reading disability that makes it difficult. Being wonderful readers, most of the Ai-Mo don't get it, and he's always the odd one out for not having scrolls and tomes scattered around his room.

Lito, however, makes an effort to read to Keseedee so he isn't left out. He can't help that reading is difficult for him, and Lito is the first person to give him a chance. He's incredibly grateful after that.

Hello hello! Mod Ki'to here, and I am the humble Mooncat behind @humblemooncat (Clever, isn't it? I'll see myself out-)

I'll be helping out with the festivities this year offering my services as an omnigatherer, tank, and my access to things such as skybuilders' and island goodies (For which I have a plethora of currency)!

So, if you need help getting certain things you might not yet have access to, collecting an abundance of resources, or a tank to help level or farm, I'm your man. o7

To introduce myself a bit more for those who've never seen me around before, I run the aforementioned blog as my main hub for all things FFXIV, but generally I just post about my main catboys and assorted ocs!

My mains in-game are my Warriors of Sunlight & Moonlight, U'lohi Tia ("Orange Sherbert" in-game) and Ki'to Vashai.

Though Lohi's home world is Halicarnassus, Dynamis, you can generally find them both on Zalera, Crystal! If I'm not on one, chances are I'm on the other. ;3c

I also run the sideblog @hikinghydaelyn, made for a challenge alt I play from time to time whose main goal is to rp walk the whole MSQ.

Other than the usual MSQ updates for Lohi, and my personal "Mooncat ramblings", I also pride myself on my gposes, my occasional writing (My Playlist drabbles and "A Journey of Remembrance" being my favorites), and my art!

Quick cute lore post since I did some shopping for Nanari on Ki'to.

Meet Nanari's stalwart traveling companion, Ramuh. His sons named him after reading about the primal in their father's notes and books (Primals/Eikons & their respective beast tribes being his field of study and topic of his archon's thesis). They liked that he was said to have a reeeeeally long beard.

When Nanari went to leave for his travels, the two boys snuck Ramuh into their father's backpack, having taught him to sit very still for a while until he heard the bells of departure. He guesses they just wanted him to have a bit of home with him, and every time he sees Ramuh hopping at his side, he's reminded of the mischievous little scholars back home.

This is the minion Nanari will be traveling with from now on. He is a good boy, and is very fond of treats, so feel free to pet or feed him if you see me tootin' along on my journey. o/

The twenty-fifth character in my silly poem series is Ki'to of @humblemooncat.

Another more recent FFXIV blog, but definitely one deserving of wider recognition. Ki'to's story is an emotional journey of angst, self-discovery and romantic interludes with husbands of vastly differing heights.

I happen to have selected a more sober moment in his story for artistic purposes, but there is plenty of fun, glamour and spice to be found within as well. With thoughtful responses to character asks and some stunning screenshots, this fabulous blog deserves many more followers. Highly recommended.

I attended Ki'to (@humblemooncat - for whatever reason it won't let me mention you)'s art party last night! I can't do much in the way of art, but I love seeing peoples' characters all dressed up, so I took the chance to practice taking some gpose portraits! Though Ki'to has many homes nowadays, this is one place that always immediately feels like home no matter how long he's been away. Especially when his other siblings stop by.

Ai-Mo design

To the left is Lito, to the right is Ki'to. They both have brown skin with light freckles, dark brown hair, sky blue eyes, and white and cyan clothes. You don't often see darker-skinned people representing monks (as far as I know), so I thought it'd be kinda cool. I just think they're neat.

FFXIV Swap July 2023

My part of the FFXIV Swap for @humblemooncat! (tumblr won't let me tag normally?) It seems their lovely, Ki'to, managed to finally drag Aymeric out of his office for a playful bout away from all that paperwork. :>

I liked this photoset with Ki'to, and wanted to make for sure he really had the chance to lovingly harass his dearest lord commander. :>

Didn't expect to be posting about this one, but he has my whole heart after playing a while. I ended up rolling another drow recently since I'm not sure I'm up for a durge run quite yet. Alfira killed me to watch, but I'm sure I'll work on Dirge after I get through a Tav run.

But! I love drow too much, so I made another. Similar looks because look at him, he's beautiful. Dirge had the looks perfected, I just want a kinder story. xD

I'm starting him as a Lolth-sworn Storm Sorc, but he's leaning towards changing faith over the course of the story. By act 3, I expect to give him silver/white eyes as he leans into embracing Eilistraee (they'll be pink sometime in act 2 as he slips his way away from Lolth).

The Underdark told him who he was his whole life; Just a Jaluk, who only knew betrayal and violence. Going topside was the first he'd been able to make choices and have them respected, and to have friends he didn't have to think before trusting (Well, after a time). He's learning who he really is, and that he's deserving of a softer life. Also, what was it about loving someone so much it changes their narrative? :3c

I plan on making sure he and Astarion have their happy ending.

Yes, I'm romancing the vampire again. I love he. And Neil's performance is impeccable.

For those asking, 'well what about Orion? Or Quill?' I had a feeling they weren't going to be the ones I get through the whole story with. It's never the first one. Or the third, even. I go through a lot of characters before landing on my main. (I was the same way in FFXIV. Ki'to was like, the 20th character I made. But he was my first to finish the story, and is my main now)
