This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the #nfcdab project, which could not exist without the trust of the artists. The idea was born at a time when not everyone was aware of the coming revolution in the reception of digital content caused by the advent of smartphones. In 2014, QR codes or NFC tags were a technology on the verge of becoming commonplace, and the same was true of wireless Internet and unfettered access to the Internet. 10 years later, we are in very different times. That's why we trusted the idea of DIWO, which is an important element of this - let's not be afraid to use the word: "research" project. The whole concept would not have been possible thanks to the help from browserbased.org and noemata.net in the persons of Zsolt Mesterhazy and Bjørn Magnhildøen, I must also mention Brian Khuu being our Australian liaison to the antipodes, and I want to thank the many people who have helped us over the years in organizing our shows: Konstantina Mavridou, Radovan Misovic aka Rad0, Tibor Horvath, Florian Kuhlmann.

Ada banyak kenangan sama bapak, aku kangen pak.
Apalgi klau liat iklan2 jaman 90an, langsung flashback bapak. Kenpa bisa? Dlu aku diajak bapak beli TV baru sama bapak. Jaman itu yg pertama punya TV adalah keluarga ku apalgi TV berwarna. Saking sukanya TV nya ak tempelin stiker kupu2 di atas kanan kiri.
Entah langsung nangis inget ketika keluarga masih lengkap, masih inget suasana lebaran, ramadhan, sahur, buka puasa, semua jadi satu dalam memori.
Kakak ku pinter masak sedang kan aku egk. Bapak tau klau ak egk pintar masak, tiap masak bapak selalu ngasih tau macam2 tentang memasak.
Kadang bapak minta maaf klau lupa beliin, kadang ya kecewa klau egk dibeliin, i know ak masih kecil jd ya belum paham cari uang, kenapa ak begitu polos.
Al Fatihah buat bapak ❤
Aku kangen pak....

First: this is amazing.
Second: I need to find a way to evoke the feeling of warped reality all of Klaus Pinter’s work evokes in my DnD games, because that is for some reason my immediate reaction to cool art

Together with his colleagues Laurids Ortner, Manfred Ortner and Klaus Pinter (Günter) Zamp Kelp in the late 1960s and 1970s caused quite a stir in the European architectural community: as Haus-Rucker-Co they proposed a radically different architecture, often ephemeral or temporal, that defied any monumentality and established a new sense of utopianism. More than fifty years after the group was founded Zamp Kelp in the present book takes a critical look back at their work: “Luftschlosser - Ein Blick auf Haus-Rucker-Co/Post-Haus-Rucker”, published last year by Spector Books, is both personal reflection and retrospective and reintroduces the groundbreaking projects and ideas of the group to a contemporary discourse. Among these projects are the plastic balloon “Oase Nr.7” installed at the Kassel Friedericianum during Documenta 5 in 1972 and “Cover - Überleben in verschmutzter Umwelt”, a translucent cover spanned across Mies’s Haus Lange in Krefeld in 1971. Both projects demonstrate the political dimension of Haus-Rucker-Co’s projects that almost always commented on and dealt with contemporary issues and problem perspectives. As the volume’s title indicates it also includes Zamp Kelp’s post-Haus-Rucker work, e.g. the wonderful Neanderthal Museum (1996) in Mettmann done in collaboration with Arno Brandlhuber and Julius Krauss, and with it the ideas Kelp introduced to contemporary architecture. These ideas, and the idea of ideas in architecture in general, form the very core of the book and once again show that well thought-out ideas incorporating contemporary discourse, techniques and a grain of utopia can still yield an architecture that is both relevant and thought-provoking. A great read!

Near-Field Communication Digital Art Biennale
#nfcdab is a DIY or DIWO(DO IT WITH OTHER)? digital art biennale that travels on wireless technologies, light waves and electromagnetic fields e.g.: Wi-Fi routers, QR codes or NFC tags to access content. the idea of the biennale is to take advantage of the potential of near-field (mis)communication and other sharing technologies for making web-based digital art accessible in outdoors settings. it slack-keeps presence next to the frameworks of galleries and institutions.

Circular City Week: “FLOW” ↬ 4-10 March 2019
In celebration of the landmark first staging of a vital economic forum, Circular City Week New York × The Vanderbilt Republic are pleased to unveil an immersive installation experience centered on the theme of FLOW. Circular economy is a global paradigm shift with the potential to transform industry and redesign urban living. The transformative potential of circularity is not specific to a single sector but can be linked to everything from digitization and the sharing economy, to the food industry and the built environment. Circular City Week (“CCW”) wants to give everyone a platform for knowledge and resource sharing, no matter whether you approach circularity from a design perspective, an environmental awareness standpoint, as a means to rethinking consumerism, or as an opportunity to generate new value and revenue. The aim of the week is to inspire industry professionals across sectors, showcase international pioneers and engage students to be the future of circularity. Different schools of thought arrive there by different means, but all agree with the core principle descibed by Janine Benyus’ Biomimicry philosophy — the idea is that a sustainable world already exists. If the end goal is a human society remade into a generative enterprise this requires, at minimum, a total transformation of our value structures. A truly creative mind can only recognize that right now is the most exhilarating time to be an innovator.
