Heartbeats

He wasn’t sure how or when it began, but he was happy that it did.

Raiden laid with his head on Kung Lao’s chest, relaxed by the beat of his heart. They were in Kung Lao’s room of the Wu Shi Academy. Both knew there was no point in being sneaky about it at this point, yet there was still a mischievous desire to at least act like it. To pretend there was something forbidden to what they were up to.

He was beginning to drift off. He closed his eyes and breathed deep. Lao always smelled of green tea and cherry blossoms. Raiden didn’t know how he did it and Lao was quite happy keeping that little mystery alive. Always the sly smile on his face when Raiden asked.

Raiden could feel his own breathing even out as he fell deeper into relaxation. It was a pleasant, summer night.

Since it seems as though NRS is recreating skins from older games, I just wanted to shout into the void that the two skins I would LOVE for NRS to remake in MK1 is default Kung Lao from MK Deadly Alliance and default Rain from Armageddon 😁. They are both SO GOOD and it would be really cool to see NRS recreate them in the MK1 style!
