please rb im so curious
#like prev said they’re hard in different ways especially bc they use diff parts#I’m mainly a writer who draws on occasion and I have a really hard time building the skills#to put 3D things in a 2D visual space#just doesn’t come naturally to me#however I put writing harder as a writer for the sole distinctive reason#that you have to know the characters you’re writing to be able to depict them#which doesn’t mean you don’t have to have any emotional or story awareness to draw n depict well#but when it comes to stuff like commissions for example#you can draw characters who you don’t know to an extent that works#but you can’t really like#write characters if you don’t know them#original or fandom#because you’re in their head and shaping their reactions and that has to be done with awareness and knowledge#so it’s not exactly that one is harder than the other bc they’re v diff#but when ur at a higher skill level the applications of writing take more time to like#apply on a wide scale ig? does this make sense?#I think in the end neither is harder than the other#bc again kinda apples n oranges ish#storytelling description sentence flow pacing dialogue natural ness length setting etc#vs anatomy color stylization contrast posing momentum etc etc
