(10:00) as I reach the end of what I've written for morning glory, I grow tired. I need to take a nap. Will I finally finish this Fourth of July chapter today?? Perhaps.

But no one and I mean NO ONE is allowed to let me forget I need to incorporate the mostly bit at some point. Like there are so many canon refs in here it's SCARY. I NEED THE MOSTLY BIT IT IS MY FAVORITE CARTMAN BIT. NO ONE LET ME FORGET!

(7:04) Guys I'm almost done with my morning glory reread and when I tell y'all I just nearly died from shock bc Craig casually mentioned he 'Doesn't believe in coincidences.' Like, it's such a benign statement but after WRITING his storyline in Genesis and randomly seeing something like that in the wild that I totally forgot about almost just took me out.

(10:20) Guys after I reread this Genesis chapter and code it I AM OFFICIALLY WORKING ON MORNING GLORY AGAIN LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO (This Fourth of July chapter will get finished tn I SWEAR TO HECK!!!!)

(And then I get to read my fav once its like 5am bc I can only read my fav fic at like 5/6 when the sun is just coming up and my room is perfectly cold and I'm almost ready to go to bed but not quite the vibe is JUST RIGHT here's to praying to the gods we don't believe in I get blessed with an early chapter(bc I have literally been trying to space them out and save them and sometimes I do get lucky and get to read two at once and it's literally the best istg))

(11:17) I forgot to reread said chapter and quit at some point but tell me how Morning went from 84.6 (?? ish) to 86.1k?? LIKE HELL YA LETS GOOOOO WE'RE MAKING PROGRESS!!!!

(11:29) It's not, like, haha funny, but I find it so painfully hilarious that I keep going back and forth between writing like fun wholesome dirty mountain kids figuring out life creek and then like them literally DYING for each other with the most gut wrenching dialogue surrounding it all. My brain needs to be studied, I fear.

(3:28) I just spent like the last 30 minutes being a fucking lunatic BACK TO MORNING GLORY!!! We're at 87.1k ... Which like, honestly, for me on hiatus??? I'm kinda impressed. Kinda proud of myself. (Not to mention the other shit I wrote that is not Morning Glory today, because I did write some of the most gut wrenching shit for Revelations just because I felt like writing angst LMAO)

Bro this is so stupid like as a huge Sephiroth stan in particular who tends to feel very defensive of his pre-insanity self because of how much I think he deserved better, I absolutely adore Genesis too?? Genesis has a lot of issues but genuinely why the hell would we not find that interesting? Sephiroth is a mess too, hell even Angeal is a mess, but they would be so boring if they were anything normal.

And one of the funniest things is how the fans who like Seph but hate Genesis miss one of the key elements of their relationship which is that Sephiroth clearly adored Genesis himself lmao. I wish we could have learned more about Sephiroth’s relationship with Angeal actually, because the Genesis focus is so much more up-front.

Sephiroth is the one trying to call him desperately in EC and they put that in the TRAILER, Seph was the one torn up over not being able to be Gen’s blood donor (help), he’s the one wracked with guilt over Gen’s injury which wasn’t even his fault, he’s the one smiling in genuine happiness when Gen is reading Loveless in that scene, and smiling at him again when they are sparring and having fun…Sephiroth really valued Genesis as a friend and you can tell. He had every chance to fight him in the Hollander escape scene, but he just stood there and let Genesis do his thing. He didn’t even shoot back when Genesis showed up in the reactor and blasted Zack away (help💀) (Ok Seph might actually be a little too gracious with his friend but anyway….)

I know it upsets people the way Genesis acts, but clearly even Sephiroth wasn’t too fazed until the reactor scene when Genesis crossed the line. I originally hated Gen in that scene too and felt Seph’s anger but all it takes is one good analysis like that anon gave to see why Gen did what he did. You can still be pissed at him and hate that scene and even others, but bro to dismiss the entire character as a one dimensional asshole who just likes to bully people is um…how you say….braindead. You can even hate the character fr but to attack people for seeing his layers and depth?? Bruhhhh.

Gackt himself helped write the character and spoke of Gen’s nuance, how he had a glass heart, and was secretly a sweetheart but was just brought to his lowest because of his circumstances and bitterness. Very believable if you ask me. Like it IS possible to think of a character this way and not condone what they did and that’s why these haters baffle me. YOU GUYS ARE ACTING EXACTLY LIKE YOUR NEMESIS CHARACTER.

Like I said, I'm not for a moment going to argue that the writing on Genesis during Crisis Core is especially good. Only that he's a more complicated character than we give him credit for.

And, I'm just going to say it--it's EASY to go with the crowd and hate on him. A lot of famous people in the community hate Genesis so I feel like the natural response for a lot of casual fans is to just hate him by default. And like I said, totally fine. Completely fine. He's poorly written, kind of a jerk at times, and very pretentious.

But when the literal GODDESS OF THE PLANET sees value in redeeming him, there's more to him than just him being bitchy and arrogant. There are layers.

Seph loved him. Angeal loved him. Zack went out of his way to save him from himself. The in-universe canon sees value in Genesis Rhapsodos. Why can't we?

i have been told by… a lot of people… that i'm a good listener.

friendliness. i highly enjoy being around people, even though i know i'm not going to be close with the vast majority of them. i'm just a social person by nature.

wisdom. i don't sound like it because i never have the chance to be? i also deliberately type like i normally do to make people feel comfy around me, so that doesn't help either lol. still, i enjoy being The Grandpa when i end up in communities with much younger people for this reason.

creativity. to the point where i literally can't enjoy media without taking inspiration and going right to my own projects and ocs/stories. it's a hassle struggling to absorb canon when i constantly have to muffle what i want to do to make sure i can pay attention RIP.

🧶 — any non-writing hobbies/interests?

lol there's a lot.

when it comes to free time… i primarily love mmorpgs, but i just don't stick to them with how much there is to do - never feels like i'm going to get anywhere and it's just overwhelming. i did do ffxiv, guild wars 2, blade and soul, aura kingdom/twin saga and had been pretty far in with all of them, but they just ultimately didn't scratch the itches i needed.

however atm, PSO2 NGS (phantasy star online 2, new genesis) is kind of my dream mmo? it's a new game, f2p is 100% viable, combat is really fun and feels really natural on ps4, i have a cute and outrageously beefy/OP level 19 character and solo everything, nothing is super hard to understand, perfect game for casuals like me who just play 1-2 hours in the morning and slowly chip away at the story/game. it's just basically everything i want in an mmorpg so i'm always just happy playing it.

shout-out to pokemon sword, rune factory 4, digimon story cybersleuth. old fav games are okami, pokemon emerald/oras and ultra moon, star ocean 3, .hack//GU, dark cloud 1+2. there's some i forgot by now but still.

then there's also making ocs and art. i am so so bad at fanart (hence why i stopped) but i did really well with drawing ocs back when i was still comfortable drawing. (designing weird monsters was a huge fav and i'd probably still be able to do it but don't have the desire/opportunity anymore so! and anthros/furries were super fun to draw! help! i drew too much!)

i'm also neglecting learning music production and japanese but they have been on my peripheral for 10+ years so someday i will actually do them. (neither will be very difficult for experience reasons but what is self-starting lol.)

i've never been too big on reading anime and manga so i tended to float toward jp games instead. but… i still have a hard time getting into something new so. lol.

fashion too. love making outfits. i used to be big into lolita fashion, visual kei, pastel goth. i still have so much punk stuff too lmao. pinterest is a hellhole to try and stop browsing if you like fashion/clothes in general.

generally, all the hobbies require effort that i don't necessarily have the energy or attention span to give, so it usually just ends up with talking to people, scrolling tumblr or twitter or reddit etc, listening to j-music.

fluff, hurt/comfort, weird plots that go really wild and meta, very short-term depressing/tragic thoughts, ships. i do like writing nsfw too, but definitely not here.

honestly? everything longterm. i tend to forget where plots are going, which is why i'm not great with RP plots or keeping track of hc characterization. i just don't have enough attention span to take notes or reread every rp ever BUT-- when i have an active/dedicated partner, i can keep rolling with something for a long AF time. (thank you in specific, neochan!)

serious answer is long sad/angsty plots. i just don't do that well with them unless i get in the mood, but i don't really want to be sad, so it's just not usually my thing if it's not just a thread or two.

there is also that long posts are pretty taxing too, but there's not much i can do about that because lol i just innately write with the intention of going back and rewriting. rip!

When his hair starts to get longer he’ll ask you how to put it up until he figures out how to do the styles independently

Even then, sometimes Eren will come to your bedroom door unannounced, with a brush in hand and an inquiring look on his face

“Can you please...?” And then the rest of the evening is spent doing Eren’s hair 🥰

And lemme tell you: styling it is very fun and relaxing, but nothing beats when he shows up to meetings with a half-assed bun that he attempted himself

It’s such a surprise, and watching this dork absentmindedly play with the loose stands that frame his face is incredibly endearing

Sometimes you get caught staring and your mind goes from “endearing” to “wow it’s really hot in here” in a two second time span a h a

He will absolutely wear it up like that more often, especially after noticing the way your gaze would linger on him during meetings for way longer than it should’ve

And then he gives a side glance around the room before leaning in for a short little peck on the lips

Deadass leaves you shocked as fuck in the hallway as the doors open to the meeting room, mumbling something about “so damn pretty” while you’re still attempting to recover

In conclusion: Eren can go from cute fumbling cadet to confident Eldian hero without warning, and it never fails to make your heart beat erratically

She’s the one who told Mingzhu that Xiao was “really busy and couldn’t come home yet” every day that the baby asked. But Mingzhu isn’t that ignorant. She knows something bad happened to him.

And you were right about the Nox/Nyx thing. Her name is actually Nyx, and she is the Nyx from Greek Myth. But she goes by Nox when around people who cannot fathom her existence. Or in Xiao’s case, she goes by a casual name as to seem non-threatening.

Nyx is first and foremost, Gemmy’s mother in this story. She wishes for their happiness and well-being. But time in her domain is distorted from time in Gemmy’s world, Aka Earth. So while it seems like only a week to Nox, it’s at least seven weeks before Gemmy sees Xiao again. She doesn’t do this on purpose.

meili bottles up her own emotions. she doesn't let herself cry over something most of the time and if she does, it's mostly only once. in a way, she's already mourned xiao from when she was still in teyvat even if the circumstances were different. everyone else is mourning and breaking down and she sees that and decides to be the support pillar for them. she doesn't let herself mourn. she focuses on everyone else because she thinks they need her more.

mingzhu! doesn't really understand death. she's lived on her own mostly. she's basically made from teyvat itself and so she had a special connection with it. she always saw death as more... letting teyvat take you away? merging back with it? she never saw it as actual death since she would still have a connection to them in some way. she doesn't get that on earth. she probably thinks that xiao got taken somewhere or something? she doesn't think he's dead especially since no one actually tells her that but she can tell something happened bc everyone is sad

damn i guess gemmy never was the normal one in shadow genesis lmao is nox/nyx gonna interact with gemmy or is she gonna send xiao back to them and he's gonna be like hey i met ur mom and gemmy is like my what.

This is what I’ve come up with so far:

1) Yuuri considered Yuki as his only bestfriend back when they were little kids since he’s not particularly great at making one ((And Yuki frequently encourages him to despite Yuuri’s protests))

2) Yuki actually has a band named Genesis! Composed of a laid back guitarist, a pianist (which is him of course) , a shy female drummer and a boisterous bassist. They’d usually come over at the Katsuki household to make music together ((and they totally did not go there for Mama Katsuki’s home made tasty Katsudon as well))

3) After Yuuri’s encounter with Victor at Sochi and before he came back to Hasetsu, Victor immediately asks Yuki through video chat if he has a brother with him. And when he says yes, he actually told him about the events from the banquet and how Yuuri asks him to be his coach. ((And sent him some pictures and vids about it and Yuki is freakin mortified and amused from all of it and OH viktor totallt loves to het to know more about Yuuri and frequently asks Yuki for some info))

4) It was Yuki who encourages the girls to upload their video of Yuri skating to Stay Close to Me.. And the one who shared the video to Viktor

Yuki: “Hey Viktor, you’re not gonna believe this but my big bro just did a thing~”*VICTOR WATCHES THE WHOLE VID**immediately packs his things* Victor:”DON’T TELL YOUR BROTHER THAT I’LL BE COMING OVER TO HASETSU OKAY???”Yuki: Haha….what??!!!Victor: I need to see this man for myself!!!Yuki: “LMAO That’s pretty quick of you to decide to come visit us but OKAY? Though.. he’s not particularly at good terms with Yurio at first ever since Yuuri casually told him that a young Russian Punk told him that he should retire.

10. a) Yuki revised Yuuri’s FS music “YURI on ice” when Yuuri’s unable to contact the person who made the music for him. ((hence that concentrated look he had while he was playing the piano on my doodle cuz he’s really trying to get the music to fit with Yuuri’s career as a figure skater and as a loving son and brother to his family))

b) Yuki made the instrumental for Stay Close to Me and asked a friend of his online to sing the piece for him.
