Land Rover Defender Works 90 V8 "Islay Edition," 2023. A special edition restomod project by Land Rover's Classic division that celebrates 75 years of the iconic 4x4. The work can be carried out on any 2012-2016 Defender 90 and includes a comprehensive restoration, fitting a 400hp 5.0 V8 with an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox and interior retrimmed with  ‘Windsor Ebony’ leather. The vehicles are all finished in Heritage Grey and reference the 1965 Series IIa owned by Spencer Wilks - one of the founders of Land Rover. Wilks used the Scottish Island of Islay to test Land Rovers, hence the name. Restorations will be limited to 13 vehicles that will cost £245,000

The Range Rover added luxury to the go anywhere motoring of the Land Rover in 1970. Permanent 4 wheel drive and a top speed of around 100 mph made it suitable for off-road or motorway driving.
