Watching cable girls and I mentioned before how insane it is that Angeles can't divorce Mario in spite of the fact that he's abusive but something I didn't catch before was that if she hadn't gotten permission from him beforehand she wouldn't even have been able to take money out the bank

Like this show is set in the 20s so about 100 years ago women couldn't even access money without their man's permission
