this has to be a joke. there is no way. she's not buying it for a second

she thinks that this is strictly casual and nothing good could ever come out of these two

maya just doesn't like skarra in general. she has such a disdain for the way he talks

Not to get lost in the narratives and such, but I think it's a wild thing to take a young player with fire in his belly who will be the first to admit that he was never even the best player in his junior teams made it to the NHL it's because he clawed his way thru via any means necessary, and to tell him, I want you to look at this example of all things beautiful about hockey, and do everything exactly as he does it.

And how all of that, instead of breeding resentment can turn into devotion. I'm thinking of faith and how Bergy will be the first to talk about all the ways in which Marchy made his game better, of two people who pushed and balanced and completed each other, who worked so well because they were so different in so many ways, two people who would suck at being each other. And what happens when, you say now you take over. Now you lead, on your own.

And I guess I'm also thinking of that 22 year old with a chip on his shoulder who was told: you will never be the best player on ice as long as he is on the ice, so I want you to be second best.

if i was a video game developer i’d just start cramming all my decade old games onto the newest releases for free. you’re buying the newest zelda game? cool, for that price you get the game + every single older title we could cram onto the extra space on the cartridge for free. enjoy a free minish cap with every purchase! everyone wins here, people have access to older games without a bunch of jumping through hoops and the game company gets to brag about extra content on the back of the box without actually having had to work on making new content.

Figures that they finally come out with the nice fancy Thirteenth Doctor boxset two years later after forcing people’s hands to either get the barebones set (or individual seasons) with 0 features or the massive and expensive entire 9-13 collection because it looked like those were the only options there were gonna be. I know it’s been some time but if memory serves, the ones for Eleven and Twelve were released pretty darn quickly after their respective runs ended. After two years I really wasn’t anticipating that they were going to do one for her and went and bought the basic featureless set some time back. Sigh. Looks like I’m adding this to a Christmas wishlist.
