A comment on the tVN video for this scene said that Hee-soo (and yes, I’m using her real name because it’s her heart driving her actions now, not her brain) actually followed the gisaeng’s advice in this moment. Thinking about what the gisaeng said, I completely agree.
Hee-soo is following the path of her love up to where it will take her. I don’t think she harbors any illusions at this point that there will be a happy ending for her with Lee In. As with what the gisaeng said, she will eventually come to the end of her path and realize the futility of love.
Her love for Lee In certainly looks futile at this point. Maybe that’s why she decided she has nothing to lose by expressing herself. If she’s going to pursue his death and die in the process anyway, then at least she experienced how it was to get to love him and be loved by him in return.
Oh, the noble idiocy and tragedy of these sageuk romances! And I’m all for it, sucker that I am!
This was fun, gutted it's only 12 episodes. Thought the show was going for 16 episodes like previous K shows which are usually a good 16 episodes or over.
Just saw a few cuts from the BTS and apparently, there are some scenes from episode 8 after their kiss and before they made love that were taken out of the final cut. Like this one.
Lee In is clearly saying something to Hee-soo and he’s consoling her. You can see him wiping her tears away. I’m guessing it may have something to do with her apprehension about him finding out she’s really a woman and the fact that she’s about to give herself to him as a woman to a man. BUUUUUTTT of course the director decided to take that out.
Here’s another one. Apparently, in this BTS, Jo Jung Suk and the director discussed that Lee In will walk around Hee-soo before he sits down in front of her. However, the final scene we saw began from the part when he was already seated and touching her hair.
Ohhhhh. I wish they’d extend this for a couple more episodes then come out with a special showing all the deleted scenes.
