Who Played It Better?

Jared's Version: ever since I saw Jared in that white suit, stopping to smell a rose in apocalyptic time I swooned over his version of Lucifer. Till date, I still love his Lucifer the best (shame we didn't see enough of that) because of how bone-chillingly cold he is. He doesn't come across as a cheap jump-scare. It's pure vanity. He plays Lucifer again in S15 and can I say I was thoroughly pleased to see it was exactly the same smug, prince of Pride! Look at that smirk in the last gif!

Mark Pellegrino's version: hands down, the second best Lucifer. the only reason I ranked him on second is because post S5, something happened to that Lucifer. He turned from dark to dark comedy, which is fun at times but not always.

Misha's version is a copy of Pellegrino's dark comedy and other two Lucifers are very forgettable..

The two things I newly recognized in this episode:

In the restaurant scene, the clerk said, "You're a virile manifestation of the divine." to Dean. At first run, I think it's just a funny flirting and also very honest line. However I rewatch this episode and curious about this line again, so I googled it and then I find very interesting interpretations about it! Some spn fans argue that: when Dean's first walked into the restaurant and sit in front of Sam, Sam thought it's another hallucination of Lucifer, but after the clerk said to Dean that he's a "virile(alive) manifestation of the divine(belongs to God/Heaven)", he realized that it's real Dean. Therefore Sam called his bro's name, "Dean", and then start to talk with him. I thought this interpretations works so well!! 😄

I finally understood what the museum staff said about the 'Campbell brothers'! He mentioned that "They aren't actually brothers; that was just a cover for their alternative lifestyle." After he told them, Sam and Dean seems quiet awkward. I didn't realize what it means but now I understand that ✌alternative lifestyle✌ means past period's gay marriage subtext. So the Campbells are the couples, and the Winchester bros, who look soo different from each other, are always mistaken for a Wincest by others. It's hillarious!! lol

Sam Winchester the ultimate vessel

Yesterday i read someone's post about how Lucifer treated Sam's vessel with respect. I think they meant that when Lucifer possessed him, he really kept Sam spotless. And I'm sorry, I don't mean to take credit for your theory (please ping me, I can add your blog reference) but I do agree with that.

This resonates with something I posted a while ago that Lucifer's white suit is Sam exclusive only. Pretty much 4-5 actors have played Lucifer but we only ever see him in white suit when he is possessing Sam. And while Mark P's vessel is almost always filthy, Vince Vincente was a one hit wonder and POTUS Lucifer was literally the world leader, we don't see these vessels at their best. Lol, and Casifer was so bad, nobody even bothered to get him a different trench coat..

Lucifer Sam is spotless even as he murders all those people in Sam's life, even as he pops Cas like a water balloon. He treated Sam like a powerful weapon. There's a certain air of sophistication when Lucifer possesses Sam, like he knows he is his best when he is wearing Sam.

Point is.. no matter what anyone did to make Mark P's vessel a permanent one, Lucifer personally never cared it. For him, it probably wasn't even the second best vessel. This really goes to show that Sam was and always will be Lucifer's true vessel.
