Toxic’s How to make Lusaut Pretty Sorta Tutorial Thing!

Right so Lusaut is a character who looks VASTLY different from his actual ‘default’ look in-game. All of what I do to take screenshots of him is just straight up using the Color Filters and Lighting in-game to make certain features of his pop. Specifically his hair, claws and eyes. I do not tweak any of my screenshots in any art programs.

I’m sharing this since I know @skyysinger was interested in them and I wanted to show how I really do this as a quickie thing in case anyone wants to try it! This is a good way to make certain features pop on your characters especially those who have more vivid hair colors! Just tweak the lighting to work with their hair basically!

First shot is default, no filters or anything added. Second is with the filter I picked out for Lusaut (In this case I went with Colored Marker 1) and I worked on putting the lighting out to get the added effects that I wanted. Basically making his hair get the red color that I enjoy so much about him. Depending on what I am going for I will usually have the lighting either type 1 or type 2 and I always keep it low on the sliders. If you make it too bright you lose a lot of the detail in the hair and it makes the hair just look like a glowing BALL of color.

That’s it really, there’s nothing fancy after that! Just get your pose, angle your camera and set your lights to how you want them so that you can get the effects you want! Add some limb darkening, play around with that depth of field. HAVE FUN WITH IT! At the end are some other examples of the Filters that I prefer and use with Lusaut. Most of the time I either use any of the following: Bright 2, Bright 4, Colored Marker 1, Pastel 3 or Strengthen Effects. It depends on where he is, the brightness of the area itself and just what makes his hair pop out the most really. 

There you have it! How I make Lusaut go from Low Quality to a sorta HD Feel! Enjoy and have fun if you try this method! Also SHOW ME IF YOU DO! I would LOVE to see and so would Lusaut!

With a start Aki’ya turns towards the source of the voice, ears perking skyward in surprise as his bone jewelry nosily clinks together in his haste to stand. He stands as tall and protectively as he can before the small candle encircled design on the ground, the candles and blue willow wisps illuminating the darkened night around him. Curiously he tilts his head to the side, night black eyes studying the man before him. He seemed different than most he had met. Stranger than most strangers who wandered this far out past that one camp with the cursed city.

“So are these parts you’ve wandered so deeply into strangerrrrr,” he purrs out entertained, still protecting his circle and the view of it with his arms out stretched. “If you’re not carrrrreful you’ll be come a friend of ours like the otherrrrs. Why so deeply do you trespass?”. He smiles as he speaks, despite the threat that he’s making. The same threat he had made to others before that stumbled in to far.

Well some been very impatient.

The halfbreed was meeting up with the ascian to tease him..almost challenge him and now he was paying his price, with the beast snarling at the cocky man and digging those claws deeply into the fragile skin, to not only cause him to bleed but also force him to move along and into a dark sidealley. He pinned the poor guy, slowly licked the blood from the bleeding wounds and finally moved up then, to force one hell of a deep kiss upon the others lips. The taste of metal was shared and mouth sucked on the others tongue, to force him dancing with his own in the ascians greedy mouth.

Meanwhile did a clawed hand run up on those soft thighs, to hook into the cloth and shred some parts away, to give the beast some sort of access, but denying to fully undress him. Forcing him to sweat and and endure the uprolling heat in those tight clothes.

And with only the most important part exposed, to grant the halfbreed some sort of freedom below there, the ascian suddenly grabbed the guy and forced him on his knees. “Lick.” was the only words the beast spoke to him and a swift lifting on the ascian robe made clear -what- he was supposed to lick.

The beast wanted to play a little around, before he would feast on the cocky little guy.

I figured I would do this for the two characters I’ve been able to see the most on my dash from you! ; w ; Most of the bolded ones are because of how Una’to operates... There are a lot of italics in there since there are a lot of possibilities with how Una’to is that things can evolve and change as he progresses towards one end or the other for the way I’ve set up his story. ; w ; Thank you for the asks @thedarkestdragonknight! :D Seriously, made my night to see them in my inbox and I hope that my answers can brighten yours even if only minimally! Physical Appearance ––– –

Hair: Lusaut has a very vivid blood red mane that goes down to the base of his hips, his hair has very faint darker black-purple highlights in it that form tiger-like stripes in his hair. His hair is essentially the Thavnarian Male Hair Mod by the wonderful @misteff so you have the idea on it’s appearance due to my game being on PS4 and not being able to mod him.

Eyes: Heterochromatic due to his mother being a Miqo’te, his eyes have the slitted pupils that Miqo’te have as well. His left (our right) eye is a very pale, almost completely white in coloration while his right (our left) eye is a bright and vivid hunter green in coloration.

Height: 5 foot 5 inches, due to his Miqo’te blood he is far shorter than most Elezen even at their shortest.

Build: Athletic, Lusaut is muscular in his arms and also his leg due to being trained from a young age to be a killer as well as an assassin. He has a very toned physic with a very pronounced six pack as well.

Distinguishing Marks: Lusaut has a tattoo over his left (our right) eye that is a pale grey in coloration, his body is also littered with Freckles. For an idea of how his freckles are, the 3rd row best gives the idea in the image below. Other than this he has a long scar that cuts across his face from the right of his forehead and down to the bottom left of his cheek and a very unique birthmark on his right inner thigh that looks like a pair of hearts with one looking like it’s bleeding in a way.

Common Accessories: Lusaut has an arsenal of things on his belt ranging from knives, poisons, sedatives and anything else that he can use in order to get his job done. He has various herbs and such to help him mix his poisons as well. Other than this the only other accessory he has is a Lapis Lazuli ring that he got from his father as well as an Aetherite Earring on his left (our right) ear that acts as a Linkpearl.

Additional Features: Being Half Miqo’te, Lusaut has a slightly long rather fluffy tail that is the same color as his hair. His ears, while in the area where Elezen ears generally lay on the face, have fur on the backs of them which again, matches his hair color. Lusaut also has long claws on his fingers that he paints red and trims to an extremely sharp, fine point that can easily cut skin if he lashes out.

Smoking Habit: Never, Lusaut has never taken to smoking and never really had the chance to fully learn about it since from a young age he was being trained day in and out how to be a killer by his father. He could take up smoking in the future however if convinced to try it. Drugs: While Lusaut does not take any sort of drugs, when he was being trained by his father he would on those occasions when the boy got to be ‘too wild’ he would give him minor hallucinogenic drugs to calm him down and bend him in the ways that he wanted him to. Alcohol: Wine, and that’s about it really. He doesn’t drink often and when he does it might simply be a glass or two and that’s it. For the most part he simply doesn’t have ‘time’ for such pleasantries really and drinking isn’t really something he cares about. Though much like smoking he could be convinced to try other brews if convinced to do so.

Insert Hooks Here: Honestly, because Lusaut is a newer Muse for me and I’m still trying to think of ideas for general RP hooks while I ‘flesh him out’ so to speak I am more than open to things. For the most part, Lusaut is more or less a very dark oriented RP type in which he is cruel and doesn’t exactly act nice. So dark themed RPs are to be expected and are likely going to be the general area that I would lean towards for him. That isn’t to say that lighter Ups can’t happen or fluff, I am just tossing out the warning that Lusaut is an Evil character overall and thus dark themes come with his territory.

Insert Mature Hooks Here: Lusaut is very much into men only and because of that he will not be involved with women outside of simple meetings or in the best case scenario as friends/companions. He has not interest in women in regards to sexual intimacy. When it comes to him being involved with other men however it is purely because of carnal desires and nothing more. For the most part Lusaut will usually never return any sort of romantic interest because for him, sex is a thing that he needs to have every so often due to lust. The potential for romantic interest is there however but it will not be easy to obtain because Lusaut is very... cruel. On that note, he has a very big interest in larger males and specifically Au Ra.

Voidsent/Ascians/Primals: Lusaut has quite a bit of interest for the ‘darker’ things so to speak. Besides the fact that his lustful side of him has him attracted to larger men and Au Ra it also leads him to have lustful desires for the more demonic beings of the world that people tend to be fearful of. To him it’s a walk on the wild side and if he has a rather good time then he’s likely to return so that he can continue having such good times. Obviously he has to take caution with these things as he wants to avoid being possessed or tempered by these creatures.

2. Despite their villainy, does your muses subscribe to some sort of ethical/honor code that guides their behavior?

“Despite how cold I can be I do at the very least have one thing that I follow. Of course, this would upset Father and I would no doubt go through more torment to ‘wipe it’ from my mind so that it never becomes a problem for the future.” The Miqozen sat his hand on the desk as he closed his eyes “I refuse to harm children... I will never do anything to a child no matter what.”

Slowly those eyes opened as he looked at the desk in front of him “Children do not deserve to suffer. They are pure... innocent... and it’s the world around them that shapes them.” an almost sad laugh came out of the man “Anything else? Well... as I have been told by several people now... ‘murder is bad’...” he let out with a more sadistic laugh “So in that regard... I’ll do just about anything... unless it involves harming a child.”

Lusaut really is his own warning but as a heads up this post contains mentions of Torture and Abuse.

The man glared over his shoulder as he heard the soft voice trying to talk to him. A snarl formed on his lips as he had been disturbed from his… duties. Narrowing his eyes the Miqozen turned to face the poor fool that just so happened to disturb him “What did you say?” he muttered out in a cold, bitter tone.

This time at least he was focused on the question being asked and there was a sharp sigh to come out of him as he brought that bloodied axe up to rest on his shoulder “Really? You are asking me about my past? How stupid are you…?”

Well there was no harm in indulging the fool now was there? But what could he bring up that wouldn’t give away too much about himself? Lusaut brought his free hand up to rub his chin, contemplating things and then he fell on one particular moment of his life that seemed to thrust itself into his mind like a rampaging beast.

“My past is full of things that your people would see as ‘abusive’ and the like… at least that is how many have seen it whenever they did get a taste of what things I’ve lived through.” Lusaut turned his attention away “I don’t see it myself… the things I lived through were normal and that’s all there is to it.”

A huffed out breath as he rolled his shoulder that held the axe “My father would often throw me into a tiny room that was barely big enough for me… even as a small child.” that hand holding the axe gripped it just a little tighter “It was to… ‘train’ me so to speak. It was meant to make me numb to the world and everything…”

The halfbreed shook his head “Tiny rooms, tiny spaces… being tied up and whipped repeatedly… beaten… burnt…” the list could go on for malms “It was to ‘train’ me in the ‘arts’ of torture. If I learned by experiencing it then it was far better. Any method of torture that could be used was done on me… to show me how these things were to be done.” a low laugh came out of him “Father always had a twisted mind…”

Slowly the man returned his attention to the person asking him of his past “And all of that training lead up to the day where I was told to use it…” there was nothing in those eyes… no emotion, no care… nothing “And I did… I spent half a day tormenting and torturing my mother. I didn’t know who she was at the time really, father just told me to use my skills and I did. Then I killed her…” he let out with a snort “So there… now go away before I make you suffer…”

Little teaser for some things potential to come. Mr. Au Ra needs a name since he’s going to likely be working very close with Lusaut... also I love that look for the NPCs that you can have in the house. The glasses, the Ala Mhigan Gown... and just the pants... it all looks SO good.

But yes... enjoy the teaser. I... had a hard time getting the lighting to look decent in this one. Need to fiddle with it more to test things out. But expect more screenshots soon.
