Fate and Phantasms #167

Today on Fate and Phantasms we’re making the single horniest character in FGO (in every sense of the word), Heaven’s Hole, a.k.a. Kiara Sessyoin. One half enlightened saint, 99% insatiable demon, all NSFW. Kiara’s an Open-Hand Monk to give off that aura of purity she loves so much, but she’s also a Great Old One Warlock to finally answer the question, “Can you really be a warlock if your patron is yourself?” (The answer is yes)

Race and Background

Kiara may be human, but she’s been infused with the spirit of an otherworldly horror. That’s a Kalashtar, baby! This gives her +2 Wisdom and +1 Charisma, as well as some other mentally themed goodies. Your Dual Mind gives you advantage on all wisdom saves, and your religious training gives you the Mental Discipline to resist psychic damage. You can Mind Link to creatures within 10 times your level in feet, speaking to them telepathically for up to an hour or until you end the effect or link with another creature. Finally, you’re Severed from Dreams, meaning you’re immune to spells involving your dreams. Sleep still works, Dream doesn’t. God I wish that was me, it would make youtube so much less annoying.

As a Devilish Bodhisattva, you’re kind of a Sage, giving you proficiency with the Arcana and History skills.

Ability Scores

First things first, you’ve got to be so hot you can make people masturbate to death. That’s non-negotiable. I’ll leave the exact mechanics of that to your imagination, but it’s probably based on Charisma. Aside from manipulating people, you’re also just as good at reading people, and that’s Wisdom. You fight in a habit and  do it all without dying, so your Dexterity isn’t that bad either. Unfortunately this leaves your Intelligence a little lower than we’d like. You’re a hacker nun, but we needed other stuff more. Your Constitution isn’t that great, you’re so eager for pleasure you don’t last that long. Finally, dump Strength. You’ve got a demon god to do all the lifting for you, who needs muscles?

Class Levels

1. Monk 1: Starting off as a monk gives you Unarmored Defense, which is really useful for that “not dying” thing you like to do. You also get Martial Arts, letting you use your dexterity for your unarmed attacks. You can also attack as a bonus action after attacking with your action, and your unarmed attacks deal 1d4 damage, and they grow as you level up.

You get proficiency with Strength and Dexterity Saves, as well as Insight for your psychological training, and Religion for the whole nun/buddhist thing. You have a lot going on as a character, to be honest.

2. Monk 2: Second level monks get Ki Points they can spend to attack twice, dash, disengage, or dodge as a bonus action. You also get Unarmored Movement to speed things up a bit, and you get even faster as you level up.

3. Monk 3: Third level monks can summon a bit of demon pillar to Deflect Missiles, slowing down incoming ranged weapons and possibly even shooting them back as a reaction. (Obviously the demon thing isn’t all monks, but hush.) You also set down the Way of the Open Hand, learning the Open Hand Technique in the process. When you hit a creature with a flurry of blows attack (the two attacks as a bonus action thing), you can: force a dexterity save to knock the enemy prone; force a strength save to push it away; or remove its ability to react for the round. I’m not sure how you touching a person makes them fall to their knees or get distracted, get your mind out of the gutter.

4. Monk 4: Use your first Ability Score Improvement to bump up your Dexterity so you can actually hit people with your fists. You can also Slow Fall to reduce falling damage, presumably by swinging around on a demon pillar like some kind of spider woman, and you get Quickened Healing, letting you spend a ki point as an action to heal thy burgers. Despite your looks, you’re pretty tanky with all that healing.

5. Monk 5: Your Extra Attack does exactly what it sounds like, attacking twice in a single action. You can turn any of your attacks into Stunning Strikes, forcing a constitution save against getting stunned for a round. Ironically this is just leading into the explosive climax, where you beat the hell out of them. Where did you think I was going with that?

6. Monk 6: Sixth level monks get a little magical thanks to their Ki-Empowered Strikes so now your unarmed attacks ignore nonmagical damage resistances. You also gain a Wholeness of Body to heal yourself as an action. Unlike quickened healing, this baby heals you for 3 times your monk level once per long rest.

7. Warlock 1: Making your hands a little magical is nice, but we want to make stuff a lot of magical, and for that we’ll need to make some questionable deals. That’s where the Great Old One comes in, giving you Pact Magic you can cast with your Charisma and an Awakened Mind. It’s more telepathy. Not a huge boon, but now you can talk to two people at once, neat!

As far as spells go, Chill Touch lets you make creepy hands (kind of your thing), and Eldritch Blast gives you some generic magic projectiles. Charm Person makes you a bit more charming, and Protection from Evil and Good will help cut through those pesky rulers more easily by just straight up ignoring their god.

8. Warlock 2: Second level warlocks get Eldritch Invocations, to customize your soul pact a bit. Beguiling Influence makes you proficient with Deception and Persuasion to help cover up the whole demon pillar thing, and Thief of Five Fates lets you cast Bane with a spell slot once per long rest, further weakening your enemies.

You can also cast Arms of Hadar to launch more arms all around you for an AoE attack.

9. Warlock 3: Kiara’s definitely a weird one when it comes to her pact boon. Books have kind of fallen out of fashion by 2030, she doesn’t use weapons, and she really doesn’t care for a sidekick. That leaves her with the Pact of the Talisman to make her a little bit better than everyone else, letting the wearer add 1d4 to a failed ability check Proficiency times per long rest.

She can also cast second level spells now, like Enthrall! She’s the only person in the world according to herself, and now she is to you too! Just fail that wisdom save and you’ll have disadvantage on perception checks to notice anyone else!

10. Warlock 4: Use this ASI to bump up your Charisma for stronger warlock spells. You also get the On/Off cantrip from a super old UA to become a bit of a hacker, magically turning on or off an electronic device within range. You can also Detect Thoughts to be one hell of a therapist, being able to read the mind of a nearby creature as an action while the spell lasts. You can read surface thoughts over and over again, or you can probe deeper into the mind of a creature you’ve already read, forcing a wisdom save against the intrusion. Also, creatures are aware you’re reading their mind, and they can force a contested intelligence check to end the spell while they’re being read.

11. Warlock 5: Your first 3rd level spell is Hypnotic Pattern, to help dominate the minds of crowds all at once. You can also Mire the Mind to cast Slow once per long rest with a spell slot. Up to six creatures make a wisdom save, or they have their speed and AC reduced, take a penalty to dexterity saves, and can’t use reactions. On their turns, they can make either an action or bonus action, not both. It also can’t make more than one attack per turn. Finally, spellcasters affected by the spell have a 50% chance of taking 2 turns to cast a 1 action spell. Another wisdom save at the end of each turn can end the effect.

12. Warlock 6: All those hands and mind tricks coalesce into an Entropic Ward this level, letting you spend your reaction to impose disadvantage on an incoming attack. If it misses, you get advantage on your next attack against that creature. You can use this once per short rest.

You can also slip into your Heaven’s Hole persona by donning a Spirit Shroud, dealing more damage within a short area around you, preventing healing from enemies you hit with attacks, and slowing them down even further.

13. Monk 7: Bouncing back into monk gives you the Stillness of Mind to end effects messing with your thoughts as an action. The only person around here doing any charming today is you, thank you very much. You’d also be correct in saying the only person around here period is you, but I digress.

Your Evasion boosts your dexterity saves, so your failures are as good as other people’s successes, and your successes avoid damage entirely.

14. Monk 8: Use this ASI to bump up your Wisdom to become more observant, and get stronger techniques and a higher AC.

15. Monk 9: Ninth level monks get an Unarmored Movement Improvement, helping you run straight up walls and over water, as long as you end the turn on solid ground. Admittedly that’s not very in-character, but you’ve got tentacles growing outta ya, I’m sure you can justify it somehow.

16. Monk 10: Tenth level monks have a Purity of Body that makes you immune to poisons and disease.

17. Monk 11: Your final level of monk grants you a Tranquility that makes you harder to hit, effectively giving you the effect of a Sanctuary spell starting and ending on your long rests, though the spell ends early if you directly attack or cast a spell at an enemy. While active, creatures trying to attack you directly have to make a wisdom save. If they fail, they have to choose a new target or waste their action. The DC is 8 + your wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.

18. Warlock 7: Seventh level monks get fourth level spells, like Evard’s Black Tentacles. A 20′ square becomes a mass of tentacles (or demon god pillars), forcing a dexterity save against taking bludgeoning damage and get restrained. They can use their action to try and escape the tentacles, otherwise they don’t get a save on their next turn to avoid damage.

You can also use your Gaze of Two Minds to see and hear though a willing humanoid, like, say, your enthralled servants. Great for espionage, or just being a creep in general.

19. Warlock 8: Use your last ASI to max out your Charisma for super strong spells and the most sex appeal you can squeeze into a single servant.

You can also cast Summon Aberration now to give Zepar a bit of breathing room outside of your body. Honestly the poor guy deserves a break.

20. Warlock 9: Ninth level warlocks get fifth level spells, and Dominate Person lets you completely take over a creature’s mind. They have a wisdom save to avoid it, and they can make another every time they take damage, but if you’re forcing them into a really one sided fight, like say, against an agent of the counter force, that’ll be a one hit kill, so you don’t have to worry too much.

You also get one last invocation, and the Grasp of Hadar turns your eldritch blasts into even more hands, so once per turn you can pull a creature hit by the blast 10 feet closer to you. Bet they thought they were real smug waiting on the other side of your tentacle pit, huh?

Pros:

With an AC of 16, tons of mobility, and a wisdom save between you and even getting hit in the first place, you can be tough to attack, giving you a weird sort of tankiness to avoid conflict altogether.

You’re also good at manipulating people, with charms, mind reading, and just good persuasion scores making it easy for you to turn the tide of a conversation in your favor. Also if you’re having trouble with an enemy you can just dominate them and tell them to jump off a cliff, really easy. You won’t even have to fight if you can just inspire a mob to do it for you.

While the biggest part of your defense does come with a caveat, you’re good at indirect combat, which will keep your sanctuary up longer. Sure, you can’t cast spells affecting a creature, but you can always cast a spell now, and have it affect a creature later, the old “I’m just moving my fist and walking forward, if you get hit it’s your own fault” technique. Putting Evard’s Tentacles down between you and enemies, summoning aberrations, and just using On/Off to cause industrial accidents are all ways to get around this restriction and leave you looking clean as a brand new pair of panties.

Cons:

Your dexterity isn’t great, especially for a monk. That’ll make it harder to effectively use your martial techniques later in the game, and it also hampers your AC.

Despite all your defenses and healing, you’re still only rocking a touch over 100 HP, meaning a light sneeze will put you into power word kill territory. Which is, admittedly, still affected by your Tranquility, so it might not be a bad way to trick people into wasting a 9th level spell...

You only get two spells per short rest, that just isn’t enough to manipulate everyone you want to, so you’ll have to learn to pick and choose what happens when.

Sungjin

It was just any other chill day, you were just folding some clothes while Sungjin was just chilling on the couch behind you. You start to hum a little tune not thinking about anything much but Sungjin would just be there like “😲”. Pleasantly shocked you had a good singing voice and questioning why he hasn’t heard it sooner. The presence of his eyes being glued to you made you turn around confused. “Is there something on the back of my shirt?” which made him get out of his trance, “What? No it’s just that I didn’t know you had such a beautiful voice.” Your voice would linger around his head for the next few days or so to the point where it drove him nuts and he just had to hear it again. “Y/n if it’s ok with you... I wanna hear you sing again 🥺️🙏.” his request was just so gosh darn cute that you just had to oblige, “Of course babe anything for you 😂.”

Jae

You were just getting ready for the day, fixing your hair and makeup while singing and dancing to some music being played from your phone. “WOOOOO DAYUMN BEYONCE!” Jae would just waltz right in to take your hand and dance with you. He’d be so lucky and proud to witness your powerful vocals even though your singing is actually really bad 😂. Nonetheless, it makes him happy to see that you’re now comfortable with singing in front of him. He may even try to persuade you into recording some hidden background vocals for his track.  “Jae come on stop being delirious my singing voice is terrible.” and he just stands there like “WHAT ARE TALKING ABOUT Y/N YOUR VOICE IS AMAZING?!”

Young K

Younghyun was curious about what you do during the day when he’s at work so one day he hid in the closet until you woke up and left the bedroom. He would just be following you around the house and being extra sneaky so you don’t notice his presence. It really caught him off guard when you started to sing along to the music as you were making breakfast. It made him realise that he’s never heard you sing before, your voice was nice, it gave off a innocence airy feeling. Eventually his own giggly got him caught, “Younghyun? What are you doing here?” probs embarrassed cuz he’s literally been stalking you for like 2 hours, “I just wanted to know what you do when you’re home alone.. and it looks like I discovered something new about you, and I thought you couldn’t get any cuter 😊.” If you were a little bit shy and insecure about your voice, Younghyun would definitely make sure that you knew he absolutely loves your voice.

Wonpil

Honestly this man would be whipped to shreds. You hadn’t really planned on going to karaoke with him and the boys but Wonpil begged you to come so you just had to go. Wonpil started to get all giddy when it was almost your turn to sing. His eyes would just be glued to you the whole entire time. Literally just melting to the point that Sungjin had to pick him off the floor. “ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE!” you could hear the guys groan in unison, “Wonpil this is like the 3rd time😅.” As you all stepped out of the building Jae leaned and whispered in your ear, “Y/n we enjoy having you hanging out with us but I swear to god if Wonpil asks you to come with us for karaoke I’m going to slap him because we both know that he’s gonna ask you to sing for the hundredth time!” You guys parted ways, you couldn’t help but laugh to what Jae had said to you. Wonpil would not stop complimenting your voice on the way home. He may still even feel a bit needy for your voice. “Babeeee can you sing me a lullaby tonight🥺️?” Singing Wonpil to sleep will now be a common occurrence from now on.

Dowoon

It was around midnight and Dowoon couldn’t fall asleep for the love of him. He kept tossing and turning which eventually led you to wake up from the earthquake he was creating with the bed. “Can’t sleep tonight?” hearing your half-awake voice led him to stop, “Sorry I woke you up Y/n I don’t know why tonight I just can’t fall asleep.” You brought him closer to your chest, his head now resting on your shoulder. “How bout I lullaby you to sleep hmm? It might not help but it’s worth a try” Dowoon was shocked and very ecstatic , he had never heard you sing before. As you sing a little song your voice sounded like heaven to him. Butterflies starting to form in his stomach, your voice really made him fall in love with you all over again 😲💓. “Feeling a little sleepy now?” he nodded “Yes a little bit, why haven’t you told me about your sweet voice until now?” you responded with a chuckle, “I was just waiting for the right moment ;) .”

They’re apart of this roleplay I’m making called mindset. These 3 would be considered the “antagonists”, let me explain, owo

Mindset takes place in a heavily Christian private school, usually I hate school roleplays because, they’re a good idea at first then the idea falls because.. School isn’t exactly an interesting place, but I’m trying really hard to make this one interesting.

Any “athiests” found in the school will be taken to the basement of the school. Where, they may die immediately, Or be taken to the judgement arrangement room, where they’re put into classes with the teachers being Nyven, Myron, And Vritra. (Though, vritra doesn’t show up until really really late into the roleplay)

Once they’re put into classes, it would be announced by Myron and Nyven that the last 3 out of 20 students get to leave unharmed, but a student will be killed off each week, if nobody dies on there own, henceforth, the students will have to kill eachother so nobody else dies, bUuUUt, that isn’t just it, >:3 If they are caught killing another student, a class trial is held to decide if they are guilty or not guilty.

The classes themself are basically hell, Well.. A very diluted version of it, xDD

3 students would be chosen every class for the “activity”, and by that, I mean possibly tortured. I’m getting there, Okay? I’ve only been working on this idea for 2 days off and on, xDDD

Shiro - An awkward boio, He’s a hint of stoic with extra truth. Tbh I’m excited for this boio, xDD

Strawberry (gonna be changed) - He’s pretty chill, flirty at times, but probably gonna handle all of the murders the easiest.

October Training Log #1

For the month of October I am going to try to post one dog training log per day. I’m a few days behind, but might make those up by posting extra! Training logs may be a whole day’s worth of training, or 1 session or moment. They might have pics and videos, or how-to guides. I will do videos for the tug drive building games I meant to post forever ago, and post my notes from summer disc classes, and perhaps some of the notes I take in my weekly Rally-O classes. If anyone else wants to use this idea, feel free! If you do, let me know, because I would love to keep a directory of people doing it.

October 3rd:

Today our walkies were training walks. I mix in sniffy walks, training walks, jogs, hikes, and dog park for our regular walks. Sniffy, jogs, and training walks are usually done with one dog at a time. 

Bree had some wonderful moments today. She was adjusting to a brand new harness, which I think is going to be a good fit for her, to replace her Ruffwear Front Range for neighbourhood walks (probably not for hikes, though). With Bree I just want her to be chill and not get riled up by other dogs. We passed a few dogs today. We worked on choosing not to interact. I stopped a good ways away when I saw another dog, and tried to get Bree’s attention without being too pushy. Gentle tugs on leash, a few steps back, lots of happy excited words. Bree was great, and usually chose to give me attention without too much fuss. We had NO barking today, wooooo! That is a big accomplishment for Bree, especially when two of the other dogs did bark at her. I forgot treats, but Bree seemed pretty happy with vocal praise and scratches. There was lots of backing off even farther from distractions, to keep Bree under threshold and able to focus. There’s no point putting her over threshold - then she’s not learning anything. The point is to keep her under threshold, and be able to work that threshold further and further, until she could walk straight past another dog on leash without any fuss. The key with Bree is to keep her from fixating on the other dog - lots of breaking eye contact and bringing her back to me, lots of choice work (choosing me over the distraction). If she chooses me rather than being forced to come back, then she learns better. She has to take the steps. 

We saw another larger dog being rather poorly trained to heel on leash while we were walking. Poor dog. Lots of pushing, pulling, and blocking happening. I stopped a ways away and worked on Bree “choosing” me over barking at that dog or fixating on it, and she did great . . . And maybe I was slightly louder and more excited than usual with my vocal praise. Haha. I don’t wanna say “this is how you train” . . . . but no, actually, yes, THIS is how you train. Or at least, a more successful positive way to train than whatever all the shoving you’re doing is. 

Haley’s walk was similar, but different. My dogs both having different styles of training that work better for them, and different skill sets. I expect more from Haley than from Bree, because she is capable of more. She’s worked harder and longer at walking past distractions and choice games. Haley’s walk had lots of heelwork in it. Spurts of heeling to practice heeling with lots of distractions. Focused heeling outside is very hard! Haley was a rockstar, though. We also heeled past every squirrel we saw. This is hard for Haley, because she was a significant prey drive and wants to chase chase chase! But she stayed pretty locked in heel, good eye contact, very nice prancey happy heel. We also saw several dogs, but Haley can walk past them just fine without barking or fixating, so we used those as more heeling with distractions practice. We saw the dog being trained again outside our house, and heeled nicely past them to the door. The important thing was that Haley had to choose to come into and stay in heel. She was leashed to her harness, not her collar, so that’s a much looser contact. There’s no holding a dog in heel on a harness. A loose leash on a harness is the closest I could get to offleash on a neighbourhood walk to practice heeling. I don’t have the crutch of the collar to keep her in heel, especially with the leash attached around my waist. You want the leash to be there only because it legally has to be, not because you need it to control your dog. 

Now, Haley got a fair amount of loose leash and pulling time, too. Spurts of heeling only, to keep her from becoming bored or stressed with it. There’s not point pushing it. That’s a good way to get your dog to become very unenthused with working for you at all.

Yugyeom Got7 Single dad AU FF Part 2/?

 Yugyeom stepped in his ... worn out car and sighed, he looked at the crumbs in between the seats as he drove. They were left by the love of his life, and his son. His shabby, somewhat junky car used to mean something but now it was just embarrassing. Getting his mind out of himself he pulled into a parking spot out side of his apartment. He managed to come in perfect time to meet his son that was being dropped off from day care. He picked up his pride and joy, and danced with him on the side walk. "How was your day Mathew?" While Yugyeom eyes blurred planning the night out he heard bits of Mathew's excitement. "I had so much fun dad! Can I go back tomorrow?" He chuckled " Of course you can! Umm.. but Mathew how would you like to go to a concert with Daddy and the uncles?" His sons reaction only consisted of jumping , and lots of smiles. "Let's get dressed!". They ran up to their apartment and got ready. Yugyeom dressed Mathew in his best attire. Shoes from Bam, a shirt from Youngjae, pants from Jackson, a jacket from JB, and a belt, and hat from Mark, and Jinyoung. "Ahhh. Let me see!" His son smiled admiring himself in the small mirror. While looking at his son Yugyeom shed a tear. He knew his wife would become proud to see her son polished, and happy. Then he looked at himself "You look great Mathew!" "Thank you daddy, but what will you wear?" Yugyeom ran off to get the one dress appropriate outfit he had, and got ready to pretend. "You look great dad." And then they were out the door, driving to Y/N's concert.   When Bam, JB, and the others showed up with tickets for all of them Yugyeom felt grateful to have such great friends, and uncles for his son. "UNCLES!!!" "Woah you look great Mathew! I love your pants!" Jackson stated complementing on the way to their seats. "You bought them Uncle J!" Everyone laughed, but Yugyeom was too caught up in the moment. It has been a long time sense he's been out anywhere social. He admired all the people as he found his seat wondering if he could ever picture himself among this crowd again. Then she appeared on staged, wearing a light blue dress, that flew in the wind from the outside concert. Yugyeom couldn't speak he just watched as if he saw someone not human. Someone better. Maybe it was his lack of communication he couldn't understand but he couldn't think either. "WOOOOO!" He watched his friends cheer as he followed. He was more calm now. He reassured himself saying that this was a one time thing never again. Then you walked on stage to a large crowd. "Hello Everybody! I'm Y/N. Thank you so much for coming. I really appreciate all of your support, and love for music. I hope I can make everyone here happy tonight. Let's get started!" The crowed cheered as you finished your speech. There were lights flashing, and dances, and they all sat there amazed . No one talked through the whole event. The only sounds heard were voices of singing from Youngjae. The concert eneded as you gave another short speech showing your gratitude. Yugyeom could finally breathe again and he could go home. As they were getting up from their seats Jinyoung tapped Yugyeom's shoulder hard, "Ahhh~ Yugyeom look at that smile on Mathews face. Maybe it's time to start mommy hunting?" Yugyeom's eyes turned cold as his heart burst open. This whole situation was a bad idea. His hands reached for Jinyoung's shoulder shoving him onto the grass. "I told you I wasn't ready. I don't want to be married again, EVER. Everyone's just going to have to learn to stay out of my life, and Mathew will have to learn to deal with that!" Passing eyes watched him as an angry tear came from his dark eye. "Daddy..." he turned to see his son with tears, and ran away from his father, and uncles. "Mathew!!!" Yugyeom called after his son who only ran off more into the distance. He found him self asking Jinyoung for forgiveness, and begging his friends to help him find his son.Mathew ran until he lead himself to an open door. He was crying heavily leaving his tears scattered across his cheeks. When you saw the crying child your heart began to melt. "Awe baby. Are you okay, were are you supposed be?" You rushed toward the small child sitting him on your lap. You finally stopped him from crying by singing to him. He talked just enough for you to get his name. "How do you feel Mathew?" He smiled fully nodding his head. "I feel better now thank you Y/N! May I play a game." You pulled put your phone and opened apps that he could play just as you were having fun you heard a worried yell. "Mathew! Please come out its daddy!" You froze with the young boy in your lap. Day 4 of 18: October 19 Thursday: Saint Jude Thaddeus Day. Nalate ako 😑 Hindi ako nakaabot sa simba, kaya nagtulos nalang ako ng kandila at nagPray ng Novena. After that, may nakita kaming pa-Feeding Program ni Mayor Estrada. HAHAHAHA! Edi nakikain kami. At first, nahihiya kaming kumuha ng lugaw, pero nung nakita naming na medyo maraming kumukuha. Wala ng hiya hiya! Kumuha na kami. HAHAHAHA! Next stop namin is St. Michael the Archangel Parish, within Malacanang vicinity din. Naglakad lang kami ulit pero hindi katulad ng 7km noong Tuesday! Haha, nagkaroon kaya ako ng paltos sa paa non! At nung nakarating na kami, Doon na kami nagstart magrosary. After 2nd stop, sumakay kami ng jeep para sa susunod na simbahan. Ang Basilica Minor de San Sebastian. Sa tuwing pumupunta ako sa simbahan na yon, gandang ganda ako. Sobrang classic metallica kasi ang exterior design ng simbahan. Bago kami pumunta sa last stop, naglakad nalang kami papuntang sakayan para hindi sayang pamasahe, malapit lang naman e. Ang last stop naming ay ang simbahan ng Sto. Domingo. Our Lady of La Naval de Manila, Quezon Avenue. Ang lawak ng simbahan. That’s my 3rd time na bumisita doon. Palagi ko lang nadadaanan pag pumupunta ako ng SM North eh. Pero pag nakapasok ka pala don. Makikita mo na may tatlong altar pala. Kaya sobrang lawak. After naming mapuntahan ang apat na simbahan na agenda naming sa araw na to, pumunta kami sa bahay ng isa naming kaibigan. Nagluto kami ng mga pasta. Bumili ng cake. At duon na rin kami naglunch. Well, may pa-cake kasi parang ramdam na ramdam na talaga naming na pasado kami! Hahaha. CPA na! Wooooo. Nanuod din kami ng dalawang movies. Dahil kailangan naming, magcatch up sa mga sineng hindi naming napanuod during our review.

Eurovision 2017 my top 42

Hello, and welcome to another episode of this ESC tops series, as I go back to May 9, 11 and 13, 2017, when the 62nd edition of the contest was held in Kiev, Ukraine, the second time the contest was held in this country. 42 countries took part this year, while Romania and Portugal returned to the competition, Bosnia and Herzegovina withdrew and Russia, which originally selected a song, withdrew because of problems with a travel ban because she visited Crimea without permission, so there were some problems with her, and they decided not to participate, and that singer was Julia Samoylova, with a nice song but I think they only delayed the thing that was going to happen in 2018... Anyway, the contest was won by Portugal and Salvador Sobral with the song Amar pelos dois, which marked the first time they won the contest after 53 years of their debut. And now, let’s review the songs. 

1st Place: PORTUGAL/Salvador Sobral-Amar pelos dois (Real Placing: 1st-758 points) 

THIS IS A MAGICAL SONG, this entry is full of melancholy and his voice is so beautiful, the music is stunning and simple and the lyrics are so sad, I usually don’t cry while listening to a song but this always makes me cry, the day of the semi I was so astonished by this song, and I thought this was the best entry Portugal ever sent to the contest and this was an opportunity for them to take their first ever win, AND IT HAPPENED BY A LANDSLIDE, a very beautiful song and a very deserving victory. 

2nd Place: BELGIUM/Blanche-City lights (Real Placing: 4th-363 points) 

This entry is pure perfection, the music is so hypnotic, the lyrics are good, and I completely adore her voice, because it’s very deep, I thought this was going to flop but it did so well and I was happy. The performance is simple but it was what this song needed, also the music video is perfect. I love Blanche so much and it’s one of my fave singers ever. 

3rd Place: ITALY/Francesco Gabbani-Occidentali’s karma (Real Placing: 6th-334 points) 

I remember being crazy about this song when it won San Remo, I love his voice, it’s so raspy, also he’s handsome and the music is so happy and positive, the lyrics are so genius as well, so I thought this was going to be a runaway winner, but the final performance was a bit empty, so I think this was the reason why it finished below the expected, still it’s one of my favorite Italian entries ever. NAMASTE. 

4th Place: BULGARIA/Kristian Kostov-Beautiful mess (Real Placing: 2nd-615 points) 

When I first heard this song I wasn’t amazed by this, but then it started to grow on me and I had this on my fave list, also I thought this was going to win the whole thing, the music is so nice, his voice is stunning and I loved the staging, a very well deserved 2nd place, and an excellent result for a country I never thought before 2016 was going to reach the top 3. I LOVE THIS. 

5th Place: MOLDOVA/Sunstroke Project-Hey, mamma! (Real Placing: 3rd-374 points) 

THEY’RE BACK WITH AN AMAZING ENTRY, this is very nice, I love the music so much, they are wonderful on stage, the performance was so memorable and it’s one of those entries you can’t resist to dance along with it. Also, EPIC SAX GUY again made me feel so happy, a very deserved 3rd place and I was happy for them because they gave Moldova their best result ever. 

6th Place: FYR MACEDONIA/Jana Burčeska-Dance alone (Real Placing: 15th SF2-69 points)  

Another one of the biggest robberies in the contest, the music here was so retro and beautiful, I loved her voice because she’s so sweet and maybe the performance was so flat and the running order didn’t help either, but still this entry is an absolute banger and it surely deserved a place in the final. PLEASE GIVE FYROM A DECENT STAGING. 

7th Place: SWITZERLAND/Timebelle-Apollo (Real Placing: 12th SF2-97 points) 

I’m so sad about this song, I was rooting so hard for this one since they won the NF and I was so sure they were going to reach the final, the music is lovely, her voice is beautiful and despite the performance, this song has a lot of potential, and I was so angry when this wasn’t in the final, and I must admit this remains one of the biggest robberies ever in the contest. I’LL FOLLOW YOU APOLLO. 

8th Place: SWEDEN/Robin Bengtsson-I can’t go on (Real Placing: 5th-344 points) 

Hey Robin, this song was my fave in Melodifestivalen 2017 and I was so happy when it won, this has an amazing feeling to it and the performance is so good and nice, also he has a very good voice and I’m so in love with him, of course this song deserved the top 5, it’s so cool and slick. 

9th Place: AZERBAIJAN/Dihaj-Skeletons (Real Placing: 14th-120 points) 

This entry is mysterious, dark and i like it so much, I remember waking up and listening to this song for the first time, and I fell in love with the song, at the contest the performance was a bit weird but interesting, and she had a nice voice, I thought this was top 10 material but it failed, and I was a bit disappointed, but I’ll always enjoy this song.  

10th Place: FRANCE/Alma-Requiem (Real Placing: 12th-135 points) 

Wooooo France serving quality two years in a row, this is a perfect French entry for me, she’s so cute, the music has a very special touch and she has a lovely voice, and I fell in love with the performance, but I was so sad about the result because I think this song deserved so much more. 

11th Place: BELARUS/Naviband-Story of my life (Real Placing: 17th-83 points) 

Another beautiful and cheerful song, this entry always take my problems away and replace them with happiness. This is a very beautiful song, they are amazing on stage and this is in Belarusian, a first in the contest and I was so glad they didn’t change it into English. A pretty song from a lovely duo. 

12th Place: ROMANIA/Ilinca & Alex Florea-Yodel it! (Real Placing: 7th-282 points) 

OH THIS SONG IS SO UPLIFTING AND CRAZY AT THE SAME TIME, I remember my best friend and me were crazy about this entry. The music is so good and I love how this song goes to rap from yodel, her voice is so special and I also love his voice, this entry always makes me feel so happy and free. 

13th Place: UNITED KINGDOM/Lucie Jones-Never give up on you (Real Placing: 15th-111 points) 

Why this scored so low with the televote? This was amazing, her voice was flawless, the performance was so beautiful and she’s so stunning, the music was miles better in the new version and I thought this would end in the top 10, because it deserved it, and it was such an improvement compared to later years. 

14th Place: NORWAY/JOWST-Grab the moment (Real Placing: 10th-158 points) 

At first I was cold about this song, but one day I saw it was a very good one, it’s so modern and cool, and Aleksander’s voice is very nice, and I loved the performance so much, it’s so crazy and purple. A very fresh entry and it was a deserved result for them. 

15th Place: CYPRUS/Hovig-Gravity (Real Placing: 21st-68 points) 

This entry is very good, even if it reminds me of another song, but still, Hovig has a nice and stunning voice and the performance is so perfect and wonderful. The music also is nice and pleasant to listen, and I think this deserved a higher score because he did an amazing job. 

16th Place: AUSTRIA/Nathan Trent-Running on air (Real Placing: 16th-93 points)

Seriously 0 points from the televote? THIS IS A VERY LOVELY SONG. He’s such a cutie, the music is so uplifting and the lyrics are beautiful, maybe his voice was shaky but this wasn’t so bad. I loved the staging because it was gorgeous and yeah, this is a cute song as well. 

17th Place: UKRAINE/O.Torvald-Time (Real Placing: 24th-36 points)  

The only rock song that year, and it’s a very nice one, the music is so epic, and the lead singer has an amazing voice, and I laughed so hard at the giant head in the middle of the stage. I love this entry so much and I was so sad when I saw the low result for this song. 

18th Place: HUNGARY/Joci Pápai-Origo (Real Placing: 8th-200 points)  

This entry is like a trip to another dimension lead by a singer with a very beautiful voice, the performance with the dancer is very magical and the music is stunning, I love the chorus because it’s very catchy and I love this entry so much, it’s beautiful. 

19th Place: IRELAND/Brendan Murray-Dying to try (Real Placing: 13th SF2-86 points) 

Another Irish ballad with a singer that has a very special voice, when I first heard this song, I was amazed by it, the music is cute, the lyrics are nice, and the performance on the semi was flawless, and I loved the hot-air balloon, it was a nice detail. I must admit that I thought this song was called Trying to die so I always sang it like that. 

20th Place: GERMANY/Levina-Perfect life (Real Placing: 25th-6 points) 

FINALLY THEY DIDN’T COME LAST! And this is a very lovely song, the music is lovely even if it’s like a song that everybody knows about and the performance was pretty, I loved the staging, her voice was a bit shaky and that ruined this for me, and thank God this finished above Spain. 

21st Place: ALBANIA/Lindita-World (Real Placing: 14th SF1-76 points) 

I was so meh about this song before the contest began, even if I enjoyed the revamp I thought this was so average and flat, but then she released all the power she had in her voice and I was like whoa, and I love the loooong note so much, and I ended up enjoying this entry. 

22nd Place: GREECE/Demy-This is love (Real Placing: 19th-77 points) 

Awww also I was rooting for this song back then, I loved this so much and I was pleased with the lyrics change, they suited the song better, and I loved the music so much, also she’s so beautiful and the performance was lovely, sadly her live voice wasn’t so good and that ruined the song for me, still I like this. 

23rd Place: ISRAEL/IMRI-I feel alive (Real Placing: 23rd-39 points) 

Can I saw how hot this guy is, I FEEL SO ATTRACTED TO HIM, and this song was one of my pre contest favorites, and I thought this was going to do very well, but then I realized that he was so nervous and his voice was a bit bad in the final, and also he performed first which was a disadvantage. Still I love this in studio. 

24th Place: GEORGIA/Tamara Gachechiladze-Keep the faith (Real Placing: 11th SF1-99 points)  

YEEES GIRL, her voice is so powerful and stunning, the music is so epic and I loved the performance so much, she looked like a diva on stage, and I thought this song was going to qualify, even at first I didn’t like the original arrangement, the revamp made this better. A very nice entry indeed. 

25th Place: FINLAND/Norma John-Blackbird (Real Placing: 12th SF1-92 points) 

JUSTICE FOR FINLAND, this song is so beautiful, the music is so dark and charming, her voice is awesome and I loved the performance so much, and I remember crying because they didn’t reach the final, and i still don’t know why this failed to qualify, it’s one of the best Finnish songs of the decade. 

26th Place: MALTA/Claudia Faniello-Breathlessly (Real Placing: 16th SF2-55 points) 

Awww I must admit that this song is very lovely and I liked it since day one, her voice is so amazing and she sang it with a lot of feeling, but the staging was so bad and it ruined the song, anyway I love how this song builds up until the climax. She’s so gorgeous and she did it on the millionth time she tried to represent Malta. 

27th Place: ESTONIA/Koit Toome & Laura-Verona (Real Placing: 14th SF2-85 points)  

One of my biggest shocks that year, even if the song wasn’t very special for me, I thought this had a chance to reach the final because the music is very good and I loved the studio version, sadly live they were lack of chemistry, their didn’t sound so well, which is weird because they are amazing singers, and the performance was a bit dull, also what’s with his staring? 

28th Place: CZECH REPUBLIC/Martina Bárta-My turn (Real Placing: 13th SF1-83 points) 

Awwww this song is so lovely as well, her voice is amazing and the music is very cute, I always liked this song and I must say is a guilty pleasure as well, even I knew it didn’t had a chance to reach the final, the performance is very horrible because of that suit, but her voice was on point. One day I’ll audition for a talent show with this song. 

29th Place: SAN MARINO/Valentina Monetta & Jimmie Wilson-Spirit of the night (Real Placing: 18th SF2-1 point/last) 

I admit this is a very unpopular opinion, but I’M SO CRAZY ABOUT THIS SONG, the music is so retro and it’s lovely, they are amazing singers and I love their voices so much, also extra points for queen Valentina, sadly this performance was so flat and I was so sad about it. JUSTICE FOR VALENTINA. 

30th Place: THE NETHERLANDS/O’G3NE-Lights and shadows (Real Placing: 11th-150 points) 

The three girls with perfect harmonies, seriously, I had eargasms every time I heard this song, they sing like angels, the song is very cute and I love the fact it was dedicated to their mother is so lovely, it’s an average song but it’s so amazing, I like it. 

31st Place: LATVIA/Triana Park-Line (Real Placing: 18th SF1-21 points/last)

This song was one of my favorites before the contest began, and I was 100% sure this was going into the final, the music is perfect, and I loved the song so much, but then the live performance came, her voice wasn’t so pleasant, and the performance was so weird, but this coming last in the semi was so unexpected, still I enjoy the studio version. 

32nd Place: CROATIA/Jacques Houdek-My friend (Real Placing: 13th-128 points) 

When I first listened to this song I was like WTH IS THIS SONG, then the live version came and he has an amazing voice but the song isn’t my cup of tea, it has a lot of elements going on and it’s a bit weird, and when I saw it qualifying I was a bit angry, but I enjoy his voice. 

33rd Place: MONTENEGRO/Slavko Kalezić-Space (Real Placing: 16th SF1-56 points) 

Oh this song is so epic, the music is everything here, the performance was a bit flat and his voice was a bit off key that night, but still this song is quite nice, even if I find it a bit weird somehow. A good song but it was ruined by him. 

34th Place: AUSTRALIA/Isaiah-Don’t come easy (Real Placing: 9th-173 points) 

This entry isn’t that bad but it’s a but mediocre, his voice at first was so good but then the last part came and everything was a chaos, and I can’t forgive him the thing he did in the semi, I was scared. The staging was also bad and I can understand the low televote result. 

35th Place: LITHUANIA/Fusedmarc-Rain of revolution (Real Placing: 17th SF2-42 points) 

This entry is a very weird one, the music is so crazy, the staging is weird and her voice is so interesting and peculiar, but still I find this entry amusing and it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure, even if this never had actually a chance. YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH.  

36th Place: ARMENIA/Artsvik-Fly with me (Real Placing: 18th-79 points) 

This song has a very charming music and the performance is stunning, and she has a very nice voice, but still I think something is missing on this entry, and at the same time I feel so bored in this song, the only part I like it’s the last part because it’s more interesting. 

37th Place: SLOVENIA/Omar Naber-On my way (Real Placing: 17th SF1-36 points) 

This song before the revamp was my last, then it climbed a little bit but I still find this a very boring song, it’s quite forgettable but I thought this had a chance because of the juries, the staging and his voice, which is so awesome, not one of the most memorable Slovenian entries. 

38th Place: POLAND/Kasia Mos-Flashlight (Real Placing: 22nd-64 points)

This song in the studio version is amazing, but here I find her voice so annoying and all over the place, the music is so dark and beautiful, and I don’t hate this song as I did back that year, the performance was also a bit disappointing. 

39th Place: SERBIA/Tijana Bogićević-In too deep (Real Placing: 11th SF2-98 points) 

Ummmmm this isn’t a bad song, but I still think it’s a flat and uninteresting song, I was expecting more of her vocals, but that night she sounded a bit shaky, the music isn’t anything special and I don’t like the chorus, also the performance was boring. 

40th Place: SPAIN/Manel Navarro-Do it for your lover (Real Placing: 26th-5 points/last) 

Behold the famous gallo of Manel, this entry is so uninteresting, and he tried so hard to give a chill boy vibe, his voice is so bad, the music is boring and IMO this is the worst song Spain has ever sent to the contest (I’m still watching you Antonio Carbonell). JUSTICE FOR CONTIGO AND MIRELA. 

41st Place: ICELAND/Svala-Paper (Real Placing: 15th SF1-60 points) 

Speaking of dull songs, I never understood the hype around this song, she has an amazing voice but this song is so boring, the music sounds the same throughout the song and the performance was so flat. Not a very memorable song. 

42nd Place: DENMARK/Anja-Where I am (Real Placing: 20th-77 points) 

I usually love this kind of songs because it’s one of my fave genres, but this entry is so unpleasant for me, I don’t like her voice so much because I think she’s screaming so much, the music is also flat and I always try to like this entry but I hate it more with every listen.

Day 359: Jet lagged (15/7/20)

It’s just a lame excuse I’m using, but I’m currently not preparing for my 3rd semester at university because I keep waking up around 12pm and getting out of bed at 4pm. I’m lonely, sad, etc. same old story. I need to delete my social media accounts from twitter to Facebook to Instagram, etc. I’m harming my mental health and well-being by becoming invested in so many political issues which I have, at best, minimal control over.

Protesting is no longer being reported very often by the media, but I’ve been told it’s still happening (BLM and defunding the police protesting). That being said, new voices of discord have begun appearing and...well...they’re showcasing the insanity of many Americans. Some people are making arguments against wearing masks with ridiculous religious or otherwise nonsensical biological reasonings. The president is ordering schools to reopen this August or his administration may pull back funding. A small, but infuriating movement emerged a while back in Texas which as continued to the present day: bar lives matter....I can’t...

The virus is out of control in the United States. Florida recorded over 15,000 cases in one day. The northeast is an actual haven at this point, with New York not recording a single death for the first time since March earlier this week. As it stands, about 13.5 million people have tested positive for the virus worldwide at some point with over 580,000 having died at some point. The United States has had over 3.5 million positive tests and is going to likely hit 140,000 deaths from the virus sometime these next two days. We are, once again as a nation, getting worse and are recording over 60,000 new cases per day. Deaths have been lower than normal, but we’re still losing 400-900 people to the virus per day. Brazil and India are also rapidly climbing, with India possibly overtaking Brazil within the next month (albeit, Brazil has nearly 2 million cases while India has yet to reach 1 million cases. This could be due to testing rates differing, but I digress).

I’m going to go to university. I’m going to chat with my friends. I’m going to just try to get by this upcoming semester and not lose my mind. That’s the goal. That’s the plan. We’re gonna take the punches and roll with them. We’re gonna try, that’s all that matters.

I should write longer posts so ill start now since that stuff is less hectic

Well, finals are over now and it’s time for me to look back on my failure as a student and try to improve ya feel

1st Hour: stats - Got an 88 this semester, I did all my homework legitimate and studied a bit. However, First hour always somehow became my designated sleep hour, meaning I missed many a lecture and its worth of notes. For next semester, I’ll make sure to do all the extra credit practice quizzes early to avoid risk of getting cut off by the deadline, sleep more, and prepare better because its actually a pretty hard class for me

2nd Hour: orch - nothing much to say here easy 100 fun times and pieces are cool. I guess ill talk about our upcoming concert as well right now. The pop pieces we’re playing are... to be honest, kind of underwhelming, but I guess I can’t fairly judge until we play with ezme. Verdi is so much fun, but still not as fun as Tchaikovsky XD. Mahler... I wish I was more mature and patient to fully enjoy it, as it really is a beautiful piece, I’m just a bit too jumpy to stay focused while playing it :P

3rd hour: french - 89.5, barely got an a so this was absolutely horrid lol like wtf did i do first quarter and that final was horiblye hard like ok rip maybe i didn’t study enough next semester goals sleep more cuz im always sleepy there too but tbh when am innot slepe tho gawd what is wrong with me rn o well lets keep going also do more ec cuz that stuff wouldvemade this a bit less close

4th hourL debate -  got some version of a B. welp that was just tragically hundreds of times harder than i thoguht it was gonan be welp next semester english gotta make sur ei scure this one friends

5th Hour: Ap Econ - ended up with an A,  and managed to rush the final to study apchem and still get a B on it so overall in econ maybe read a bit more so i have more reading space but like not much a problem

6th Hour: AP Chem - This one is a toughie. Barely got a B this semester, looking to try for an A next. I need to improve my labs, as my average on those are horrid. Reading quizzes i average above a 2, but then tests tho I really need to step up, definitely need to do quiz reviews and practice tests days in advance so that i can thoroughly practice and learn how to do each individual concept.

school in general is quite the menial, yet sometimes interesting experience. My average day feels pretty solitary, even though i do get to talk to friends and when i do its awesome lol. Every morning starts with me waking up way too late, rushing to get ready, and then fast walking my way down to stats all the way from the orch hallway, barely making it there a majority of the time. stats is kinda boring and sleep time. Orchestra is a fun time, although I struggle greatly with a periodically faulty stomach that just loves to butt in on the one class I can least easily go to the restroom. goddamit. French is like secondary sleepy time but i really dont like having to sleep in french for some reason. debate is now over, but it was pretty fun i guess when it lasted and i seriously learned and grew a lot as a person. Funnily tense of an atmosphere it was, with all the differing points of view, but that’s what makes it great. Econ is chill, aldinger is hilarious and yeah whatever politically we have differences but as long as he teaches econ correctly its whatever. Spencer, caroleen, muyang, ditty, ethan make econ fun too our cluster of 6. And apchem lol vedaant michael those monkeys i love em.

fiddlers is quite fun actually. It makes me really happy and some of those songs are quite nice and while i play them i think and feel and its nice.

gotta organize february mmm sigh had to cancel this month and it was a good idea to do so way too fricking busy.

sectionals tomorrow so tiring but we need it but im hoping to sleep early today so i should be able to handle it.

sometimes I feel like a burden/annoyance to people around me and i really don’t want to be that but i feel like nobody would tell me that to my face

How am I feeling? I honestly dunno. I feel heavy, both physically and emotionally. Confused mentally, currently satisfied. There are many questions my mind and heart want answered, but my belief in trust overrides my curiosity for answers where I may end up regretting knowing.

I’m going to make an effort to be kinder and happier towards everyone I know, hopefully not coming across as fake along the way. When someone is friendly and smiling to me, it feels good, so hopefully I can do the same for others. I know some people will claim I’m already pretty nice but I don’t think so, im still randomly not at some times which makes me hate myself but thats whatever. I don’t think there’s that much of a limit to how much is enough kindness, everyone deserves as much as they can get.
