I'm gonna try to post more doll photos here on Tumblr.
These were taken in the "Ihmeellinen pieni maailma" miniature fair in Espoo, Finland in 2024. The art workshop diorama was created by Susanna, the Ken and Kaarna doll story creator.
The dolls Ken (orange dress), Kaarna (short blue-dyed hair, Mackie sculpt, orange shirt that says "Fuck The Universe", and Mari (the blonde who models for the live drawing) are characters from the Ken and Kaarna doll story.
There were a bunch of dolls from many different people visiting the diorama, it was very fun.
My dolls pictured here visiting the diorama: the guitar-playing Kit (Barbie Looks) with the skull top, the cyrvy Daya fashionista hybrid with the paint-splattered white coat, Becky (the wheelchair user), Trichelle MTM hybrid with the green and black crop top.

Also earlier today I got this 1/6 scale Spider-Man outfit I want to try and use with the eventual Peter Parker Doll I want to make to go with my Gwen. Turns out this is the Round 2 Captain Action Spider-Man Outfit (only got the the boots and suit).
Unfortunately the MTM ken Body is both slightly too tall and not wide enough for the suit but I payed less than $20 for it (compared to the nearly-over $100 it usually goes for new) so it's not a total loss. My Custom Peter is still in the workshopping phase so I may still have a use for this fit.

Week 3 Development Progress
During the past week since my last post, I've managed to make a fair bit of progress on the game. There were a few key things I wanted to knock off the list that I've achieved. Primarily, I wanted to ensure the movement felt fluid, responsive, and fun while moving around the environment. While playtesting with a friend, I repeatedly tuned the values for acceleration, jump height, deceleration, and coyote time. The values I was originally using when prototyping the main mechanic ended up feeling very floaty and unresponsive, while the high deceleration felt too unforgiving for the player to want to continue playing. To address this, I reduced the deceleration greatly, increased the acceleration and maximum speed, as well as reducing the threshold for coyote time and jump sustain. This led to the player movement feeling much snappier, whilst being slightly more forgiving should the player release the movement keys. Next, I implemented the main enemy, which causes the player to fall through platforms for the next two seconds on contact. It adds a nice bit of difficulty to the game and when used sparingly can create challenge without excess frustration. Finally, to improve the level, I created flashing platforms to go along with the timer platforms. The flashing platforms can be stood on at all times, however are only visible for a second and a half at a time, making it hard to know exactly where the edges are. Again, using these sparingly around the current, temporary level helps add to the challenge of the game and provide more opportunities for the falling mechanic to shine.
Throughout further prototyping the game, there were a few things that I quickly learnt for future projects. Primarily, when making platformers, it is essential to nail the feeling of the movement as early as possible. Having to adjust it after building out some of the play environment can be very problematic as even slight changes can make some areas inaccessible or far too easy to reach. Plus, being a platformer, movement feeling good is essential as it's the primary way the player has to interact with the game. If it doesn't feel fun and fluid, the player won't engage with the game. On a more personal note, I've discovered that while GDevelop is good for quickly prototyping 2D games with the variety of built in behaviours, for a proper project I'd much prefer the flexibility of actually coding in an engine like unity, rather than the events system of GDevelop.
For the first 3 weeks readings from the Game Design Workshop textbook, the main thing I've really taken away is to really focus on the design and implementation of the moment to moment (mtm) gameplay. A game can have an amazing story, however if the combat is tiresome and uninteresting, the player won't ever experience that story due to those frustrations. It's essential to ensure the mtm is enjoyable throughout so the player is enticed to continue playing. Also, especially for platformers and simple 2D games, I find paper prototyping to be somewhat unnecessary when using an engine like GDevelop. It allows for very fast prototyping, and especially with platformers, the movement feeling good is something that can't really be tested on paper, and so being able to quickly prototype it digitally and fine tune the values is much better, personally speaking.
Anyway, that's it for this week. Next week I want to further playtest the game after fleshing the play area out a little more, as well as improving the visuals for the game. Adding some new sprites for the different platform types is essential, as well as a background to replace the current white void. If you want to play the current prototype, a playable demo is available here. Enjoy the rest of your week, I'll see you all again soon

🌻🌻!!
I took this screenwriting course in college and the professor was, look, he was not good. I don’t like to dismiss teachers I didn’t get along with as “bad” but this guy absolutely should never have been a teacher. He had a very rigid idea of what made a “good” script. He was fully against fantasy (our last workshop class three different students INDEPENDENTLY wrote scripts that featured a centaur to spite him). He made me cry in class, and then drew attention to me crying when I tried to hide it. I really hated his class. But! BUT! One thing I’m grateful for Is he introduced me to the movie Ordinary People. Which is incredible???? Donald Sutherland? Judd Hirsh? Mary Tyler Fucking Moore????? It’s super heavy but also such a beautiful meditation on grief and survivors guilt and MTM is just amazing, I cannot say enough about her performance. So that bad class was worth it because it brought this amazing movie into my life.

KSP Loading...: Sharing Horizons with ESA
Welcome to our official newsletter, KSP Loading…! If you want to learn about all the current developments of the KSP franchise, then this is the place to be!
Kerbal Space Program Update 1.10 on PC
As most of you know by now, we are currently working on the final details for the 1.10 release. Launching on July 1st, Kerbal Space Program 1.10: Shared Horizons is special in many ways. For starters, we have partnered with the European Space Agency (ESA) to bring two iconic and historic missions to the game, BepiColombo and Rosetta, as well as a bundle of brand new parts and variants to resemble the components of their real-life counterparts. In addition to that, we’re bringing ESA’s spacesuit and the Ariane 5 heavy-lift launch vehicle into the game. Coupled with that are new planet and part revamps, performance improvements, a bunch of bug fixes, as well as a few quality of life features. We'll be going into more details about this exciting update, so buckle up.
ESA Missions
Thanks to our partnership with ESA, we’re bringing two of their most impressive and groundbreaking missions to KSP for you to experience for yourself in the upcoming Shared Horizons free update. Best of all, these missions will be available for all to play, regardless of whether or not the player owns the Making History or Breaking Ground expansions.
Arianne 5
For these missions, you’ll be equipped with an Ariane 5 analogue, which we teased a few weeks ago. This brings to Kerbin a version of ESA’s premiere heavy lift launch, capable of putting over 20 tons into LKO. Based on your feedback, we did some adjustments to the fairing and the second stage to better resemble the look of its real-life counterpart.
BepiColombo and BepiColombo Spacecraft parts
Like JAXA and ESA’s joint endeavor, in this mission you’ll visit the innermost planet of the solar system to study its magnetosphere and surface characteristics. Launch from the KSC with a kerbalized Ariane 5 and deploy the Moho Transfer Module (MTM), which will carry the Moho Planetary Orbiter (MPO) to its destination using ion thrusters. You'll have access to the new Magnetometer Boom to carry out scientific experiments on that distant planet. Just like humans in our world will go on making further discoveries about Mercury, what mysteries will Kerbals learn from the planet orbiting nearest their star?
Click here to see high res images.
Rosetta …and Comets!
Just like its real-life counterpart which launched in 2004, in this mission you’ll intercept a comet and drop the Philae lander module on its surface. This means not only that you’ll get to perform an amazing and challenging mission, but that we have added comets to the game, including new career mode contracts to detect and visit them! Comets will appear in all game modes and have a very distinct look from regular asteroids with gorgeous tails and larger dimensions. With some luck, you might even see one that is passing through from interstellar space!
Click here to see more high-res images.
Suit picker
We’re including an improved suit picker in the 1.10 update, so you can easily dress your Kerbals to your liking. When clicking on the hanger icon of the crew tab, you’ll not only be able to choose any of the different EVA suits available across the base game and the expansions, but also decide whether you want your kerbals to wear the veteran, IVA or EVA color combinations of any of the suits - including a new ESA suit texture option! This feature will also make it easier for modders to add their own suit textures to the game.
youtube
Flag parts
You probably noticed that the Kerbal’s Ariane 5 we previewed a few weeks ago is decorated with a variety of flags. As some of you have guessed, we’ve added flags as surface attached parts that you can now add to your vehicles, for those multi-mission or multi-agency crafts. You’ll be able to place the flags horizontally and vertically, on curved and flat surfaces, plus choose the size and whether you want to place a white, dark, orange or transparent background for them.
Advanced Grabbing Unit Jr.
We’re introducing a new smaller version of the Klaw, a device whose primary purpose is to capture asteroids and basically anything it can put its claws around, maybe even comets. This new version has a radial size of 0.625m in contrast with the original’s 1.25m. Thanks to its size, this smaller unit will be quite versatile, plus we’re including a second darker variant for it. We’re curious to see what the community will contrive with the Klaw Jr.
New part variants & improved control over Fairings
We’re including several part variants for the Shared Horizons update in order for some parts to match with ESA’s style. These include variants for fuel line, struts, fairings, as well as for the Baguette, Dumpling and Doughnut external fuel tanks, among others.
Fairings have gotten an upgrade as well, making it easier to set up open-ended fairings, and now you can fine tune the shape of your fairings better as well.
S1 SRB-KD25k “Kickback” Solid Fuel Booster
This heavy solid rocket booster is getting a variant so that it can provide your Ariane 5 that additional thrust needed to launch your probes and modules to outer space.
Rockomax X200-32
The Rockomax X200-32 Fuel Tank is also getting a third ESA variant for it to match the Ariane 5 color scheme.
Click here to see high-res images of the variants, the flag parts and Klaw Jr.
Planet Revamps
Jool
The legendary green gas giant has received a major revamp. Jool did not only receive high-quality texture & graphic shaders, but also animated clouds, which are particularly beautiful when time-warping around this colossal green sphere.
youtube
Laythe
Jool’s innermost natural satellite is also getting a well-deserved visual makeover. The new high-quality texture maps and the proximity to Jool will surely make Laythe one of the most coveted destinations for those Kerbonauts who just want to enjoy a nice view at a beach.
youtube
Remember, you can share and download crafts and missions on Curse, KerbalX, the KSP Forum and the KSP Steam Workshop.
That’s it for this edition. Be sure to join us on our official forums, and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Stay tuned for more exciting and upcoming news and development updates!
Happy Launchings!

We first met Remy in Sydney in 2014 over coffee, through our mutual friend Nabil (thanks buddy!)
After six years of working for another established MTM establishment in Australia and USA, Remy started his eponymous MTM clothing line seeking greater creativity and control. Remy is dedicated to a clean aesthetic, and we can divulge that it shows in his orders - they sell our plain coloured hopsack and grenadines almost exclusively!
Remy: "REMY is tailoring that is made for each individual, that serves their particular need in the best possible way with the least amount of fuss. Our approach is best summed up as utilitarian design. Devoid of anything unnecessary, REMY aims to be simple in design and functional in use. We create garments made in the most technologically advanced workshops in the world with the best possible fibres from weavers to create a garment that’s not only exceptional in fit and finish, but also in value.
We've chosen to work with Vanda as Gerald and Diana have created an exceptional product which employs the intricacies of traditional tie making while embracing the simplicity of modern aesthetics. By far and away the favourite cloth for my clients are the VBC hopsacks. They are lightweight, durable and have an insane drape to them. They're not flashy or shiny and they come in a great selection of colours. I think one of my clients has it in every single colour that Vanda offers."
REMY is by appointment only, and can be contacted at:

Florentine Shirts in London: Simone Abbarchi

This weekend, Simone Abbarchi was in London to meet clients for his made to measure and bespoke shirts.
I went to see Simone, look over his fabrics, and get measured for a shirt. The ordering process is a joy: selecting cloth, buttons, collar size and style, and a range of finishing options (fused or unfused collar, darts in the back, gussets, pleats in the sleeve, monograms if that’s your kind of thing).

The cloths are quality brand-name options, including business shirtings and Oxfords from Albini and Thomas Mason (above) and denim and chambrays from denim specialist (and Albini group member) Albiate (below).

Fitting is a careful but quick process. Simone takes measurements as if by reflex, calling out numbers in Italian to his colleague Giuseppe, double- and triple-checking more out of habit than necessity.
Measuring is far more than recording flat distances: as you can see below, many shirt measurements are curved, and the angle matters. So does the shape of the chest and back: a 40″ chest can be broad and flat or narrower and more prominent, a back naturally hollowed or straight.
This is one reason why it’s so much better to be measured by the people who run the workshop or factory: they understand how a sheet of measurements and notes will be interpreted on the factory floor. However diligent a salesperson in a retail store might be, he or she can’t offer that.
Another reason is that you can see the quiet pride that Simone and Giuseppe have in their product. They don’t do any hard sell, but they care intensely about design and finish. You can tell by all the attention to detail, but also by their evident pleasure in making a new order or design, far beyond the satisfaction of making a sale.

One difference between MTM and bespoke is the existence of an individualised paper pattern. Another is an intermediate fitting, where your shirt or jacket can be checked, altered, and if necessary, opened up and remade.
While Simone offers full bespoke in Florence (where you can reasonably go back for a fitting in a few days, rather than waiting six months for the next trunk show) his MTM service goes some of the way by checking measurements against a trial shirt.
Below you can see Simone checking my posture against the shoulders on this collarless test shirt.

It’s also nice to see the attention to small but important details like the height of the second button. Your collar button---obviously---needs to be on the collar, but the height of the second button depends on whether you like to wear one button open or two, and of course how much neck (or chest) you want on show.
I ordered a classic denim shirt, made up in the classic Italian semi-formal style (soft spread collar, no pocket or placket, fitted fairly slim through the chest and waist.) I’ll report back when I have the finished item.
MTM starts at €150

Best Ideas to make your Event more Fun

From group building events and introductions to gatherings and quarterly reports, how to make events progressively fun. You can compose workshops or celebrations, missions, streak crowds, visits, or shows or perhaps advance business by sorting out a topical event for it.
In fact, there are numerous motivations to make an event interesting: to draw in much more guests, to entertain bored business partners and employees, contact the MTM EVENTS pvt.ltd which is the best event organisers Singapore for your event’s party. It offers coordinators a chance to actualize really unique and incredibly fun event structure thoughts thus significantly more.
Best ideas to make your event more fun
While dissecting the aftereffects of past events and the starter information that has been gathered, attempt to include an introduction about future members, their objectives and interests, and the job of fun components for progress at the event:
For gatherings
For corporate events
For group building events, and so forth.
Below are 5 more small tricks that may come in handy as ideas for a fun event.
1. Individual welcome
Individual welcome for guests can be unique as well as a reasonable choice. Before to the event, request that guests fill in a poll with any important data (e.g., your name, your most loved shading, your most loved beverage, and so forth.). Welcome every guest by name. This is an incredible method to make proper acquaintance in a friendlier and increasingly customized way.
2. Sweet treats
Is the atmosphere in the gathering room getting somewhat tired? Plan a break for sweet foods. Surprise the guests with spontaneous snacks previously or after lunch to support the vitality of the gathering members and help them remain alert. We don’t mean giving a large dinner however essentially a little treat that will show to the members of the event that the solace (and tastes) of the guests are vital to you.
3. Fun venue spaces
Fittingly utilizing the space open doors for events is another favorable position. On the off chance that you are in an extremely beautiful place, sort out a little gathering stroll to enhance blood circulation. Does the gathering happen in the city? Stroll around the square or visit the building’s housetop.
4. Portable music devices
In the event that you orchestrate a gathering to accomplish an outcome or frame new thoughts, consider the positive effect of music on mental movement. Every member may tune in to the music. You get both a trigger of scholarly movement and a gift from the event along these lines.
5. Special prizes
So as to make a gathering enthralling and to get great results, offer a progression of prizes. These can go from little confections to enormous gift vouchers, among numerous different choices. Prizes are given to the individuals who have proposed the best thoughts, or they can be conveyed in an irregular way. Everybody appreciates getting a sudden prize!
6. Branded or custom accessories
Each corporate events Singapore, from dinner napkins to pens or note paper, can be fun, but be sure to reflect the purpose of your event in every detail. You can either utilize the name of the organization or give every member their very own marked things. This will enable guests to feel extraordinary.
Conclusion
There is a danger of losing most of your gathering of people by disregarding the opportunity for a fun affair just as passing up the information from more youthful members who are endeavoring to both work and play.
