Cá thuộc bộ: Perciformes (bộ cá vược) Họ: Osphronemidae (họ cá tai tượng)

Nguồn cá từ khai thác trong tự nhiên, tuy nhiên hiện ít người khai thác, thuần dưỡng và kinh doanh loài cá này. Mặc dù cá được du nhập rất sớm vào châu Âu, nhưng hiện nay các dòng cá xiêm hiện đại đã trở nên phổ biến và được ưa chuộng hơn cả về tính chiến đấu và sự đa dạng kiểu vây và màu sắc. Cách nuôi cá thiên đường, lia thia đồng Cá thiên đường ngoài tự nhiên sống trong các vùng trũng nước ở đồng ruộng vì vậy khi nuôi chúng trong bể cá cảnh bạn cũng cần chú ý tạo một môi trường thật giống ngoài tự nhiện cho chúng; bể nước nuôi cá lia thia đồng nên trồng nhiều cây thủy sinh và thực vật nổi như (súng, sen Nhật, bèo,…) vừa tạo chỗ trú ẩn và đẻ trứng cho cá vừa cung cấp hệ thống lọc nước sinh học tự nhiên cho bể nuôi cá của bạn.

Cá thiên đường khi trưởng thành dài 8-10 cm; cá trống hiếu chiến tương tự cá xiêm, nuôi riêng cá trống hoặc một cá đực với nhiều cá cái. Cá khỏe, dễ nuôi, thích ứng rộng các điều kiện môi trường, chịu được mức ôxy hòa tan trong nước thấp nhờ có cơ quan hô hấp phụ Nước nuôi cá lia thia đồng cần đảm bảo:  Thể tích bể nuôi (L): 70 Chiều dài bể: 60 cm Nhiệt độ nước (C): 16 – 27 Độ cứng nước (dH): 5 – 30 Độ pH: 5,8 – 8,0 Bể cần có nắp đậy để tránh cá nhảy ra ngoài. Географический диапазон обитания макропода имеет широкое распределение по юго-восточной Азии. Среда обитания макроподов - медленно текущие ручьи и болотца в восточном Китае от реки Янцзы до бассейна реки Чжуцзян, включая Тайвань и остров Хайнань, в северном и центральном Вьетнаме и в северо-восточной Лаосской НДР. В природе макроподы живут в тропическом и субтропическом климате.

Родина макроподов: страны Китай; Гонконг; Лаосская Народно-Демократическая Республика; Малайзия; Тайвань; Вьетнам; Япония; Корея.

В качестве места обитания предпочитает любые водоемы в низинах орошаемых полей или заводях крупных рек, в небольших ручьях и оросительных каналх на сельскохозяйственных угодьях.

Макропод может жить в застойных водоемах с очень низким содержанием кислорода (благодаря специальному о��гану - лабиринту присущему всем лабиринтовым рыбкам (гурами, лялиусы например)).

Питается насекомыми и мелкими водными животными, включая мелкую рыбу. Самцы строят гнезда из пузырьков и для кладки икры и охраняют мальков. Самцы сражаются друг с другом за территорию. Райская рыба очень популярна в аквариумистике, и поэтому она широко транспортируется по всему миру. Первая декоративная рыба макропод была привезена в Европу в позапрошлом веке (Франция в 1869, Германия в 1876) и стала вторым обитателем аквариумов после золотой рыбки.

Угрозу этому виду представляет собой разрушение среды их обитания и загрязнение воды путем использования пестицидов при земледелии.

Dragonification de mes bêbêtes

Allez savoir d'où ça m'est venu (passion conjointe de mes nanimaux et de mon dragon Pixel ?), j'ai fait chacune de mes bêbêtes en dragon ! (il manque plus que les crevettes, que j'ai repris depuis)

En premier, TOUJOURS le premier, Freddy. Pandrafreux. Ze classe incarnée !

Puis Kitty, elle fait plutôt rat chauve, mais c'est toujours un cochon d'inde...

Puis myrtille, je la trouve bien ! un peu trop proche d'un pokémon, mais bon, transfigurer des bouclettes en cornes, c'était pas évident.

Mes macropodus. Oui je leur ai fait des pattes : sans, c'était juste un poisson ailé quoi ! Et je leur ai fait une bouche de piranha. Pasque. 

Puis les Sewellia lineolata. J'ADORE la race que ça donne. Eux ils vont finir dans la BD. obligé. 

Et pour finir un tanichtys, que j'ai totalement disproportionné, alors que ce sont les plus petits de l'aquarium ! oui, là j'ai pété un plomb.
