Hello, radhika madan’s comment on Tv has riled up many tv actresses, do you know what exactly she said?
Radhika, in a recent interview, recalled working 48-50 hours a shift during her years as a TV actor. She said whenever she asked for the script, she was told, “Aap set pe chalo, script garma garam aa rahi hai (You just reach the sets, script will be freshly printed)”. She said directors used to make changes at last minute and whichever director was free, he would come to shoot. Radhika also said that whenever she had anything to say about her character, she was told by the director that they would think about it when they make a film, and not a TV serial.
Source
I mean.......... She's not wrong. Idk why people (esp. other actors) are all up in arms when the shitty work culture is being called out. Do y'all not want any improvement in how the industry operates????
(Ekta reacting the way she did is more understandable since she's thinking from the other side of being a producer, who has to juggle 100 other things for each day's shoot to go off successfully.)

Lag Jaa Gale -  Mansoor anf Mukku
movie : Kedarnath
Sushant Singh Rajput I Sara Ali Khan
“Lag Jaa Gale” is a Hindi song Music by Madan Mohan Kohli Lyrics by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan Written for the 1964 Bollywood film Woh Kaun Thi?  (English: Who Was She?)
Ja Gale - Lyrics and Translation
This is a translation of the 1965 Hindi song with Lata Mangeshkar singing. The song expresses profound sadness on the impending partition, which is perhaps final. The Hindi expression “ho na ho” implies that it may or may not happen in future. In Hinduism, death is the parting for this life. The parting, although expresses separation of two lovers in the movie, can also mean death in the Indian context.
Lag jaa gale ke phir yeh haseen raath ho na ho.
Embrace / hug me for who knows if this beautiful night will ever come again (in this lifetime).
Shaayad phir is janam mem mulaaqat ho na ho.
Maybe, in this life, we may or may not meet again. (Shaayad approximates to "perhaps" or "maybe". The meaning can vary slightly on the Persian continent.)
Hum ko mile hai aaj yeh ghadiyaan naseeb se. I have been given today, this time, through / by destiny. (Since god controls destiny; we are fortunate to have these few moments that god has granted us.)
Jee bhar ke dekh leejiye hum ko kareeb se. To your hearts content see me (get to know me) closely. (Implying they might never be together again.)
Phir aap ke naseeb mem yeh baat ho na ho. Who knows, if your destiny, may present this situation again.
Shaayad phir is janam mem mulaaqat ho na ho. Maybe, in this life, we may or may not meet again.
Paas aayie ke hum nahin aayenge baar baar. Come closer to me, as I will not be able to come to you every time.
Baahein gale mein daal ke hum ro le zaar zaar. Put your arms around me (Hug) and let us cry thousands of times.  (Alternatively, cry our hearts out.)
Aankon se phir yeh pyaar ki barsaath ho na ho. Who knows, if our eyes will ever see these tears of love again. (Barsaath in this context means tears falling like rain.)
Shayad phir is janam mem mulaaqat ho na ho...

Remembering legendary music composer Madan Mohan on his 94th birth anniversary.
Madan Mohan Kohli (25 June 1924 – 14 July 1975), better known as Madan Mohan, was a music director of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
He scored his first big break with the film Aankhen (1950 film) in 1950. His next film was "Adaa" which saw the beginning of a long lasting collaboration with Lata Mangeshkar; who would go on to sing for many of his films. Two of his composed songs from "Sharabi" "Sawan ke maheeney mein" and the classic song "Kabhi na Kabhi koi na koi toh aayega", both filmed for Dev Anand are among the most well known renditions of the renowned singer Mohammad Rafi. In addition, his other compositions like Wo Chup Rahen To from the film Jahan Ara (1964) and Maine Rang Li Aaj Chunariya from Dulhan Ek Raat Ki (1966) are two similar examples. Madan was also able to write songs for male singers such as Talat Mahmood (Phir wahi Sham, wahi dil, wahi tanhayee hai, Main Teri Nazar Ka Suroor Hoon and Teri Aankh Ke Aansoo from Jahan Ara, and Meri Yaad Mein Tum Na from Madhosh) and Mohammad Rafi (Ek Haseen Shaam Ko from Dulhan Ek Raat Ki, Kisi Ki Yaad Mein from Jahan Ara, Main Nigahen Tere Chehere Se from Aap Ki Parchaiyian, Aap Ke Pehlun Mein Aakar Ro Diye from Mera Saaya, the all-time haunting Meri Awaaz Suno and Tumhare Zulf Ke Sayen from Naunihal, Teri Aankhon Ke Siva Duniya Mein from Chiraag as well. Madan did not usually employ Kishore Kumar. Nonetheless their partnership created songs as well; in this category fall songs such as Simti Si, Sharmai Si from Parwana, Zaroorat Hai, Zaroorat Hai from Manmauji, the title song from Ek Muthi Aasman, Mera Naam Abdul Rehman from Bhai Bhai, and Aai Hasino, Naazanino from Chacha Zindabad. Madan often collaborated with lyricists Raja Mehdi Ali Khan, Kaifi Azmi, and Rajinder Krishan, Sahir Ludhianvi and Majrooh Sultanpuri for his movies.
In 1957 he came out with a film named Dekh Kabira Roya in which the legendary singer Manna Dey gave his voice to the melodious Kaun Aaya Mere Man Ke Dwaare and unforgettable numbers like Tum Bin Jeevan Kaisa Jeevan in the film Bawarchi. In addition to that, he had Lata sing Tu Pyaar Kare Ya Thukraaye and Meri Veena Tum Bin Roye numbers, and he used Talat Mahmood for the song Hum Se Aaya Na Gaya in the same movie. Once in an interview Manna Dey recalled that Madan Mohan asked him to take special care when singing Kaun Aaya Mere Man Ke Dwaare.
A film scored by Madan was Chetan Anand's Haqeeqat (1964), starring Balraj Sahni and Dharmendra and based on the Sino-Indian War of 1962. In it, he used Rafi, who sang numbers like Kar Chale Hum Fida, Main Yeh Soch Kar. Lata was used for the song Zara Si Aahat Hoti Hai and the unscreened " Khelo na mere dilse". And the same film saw Rafi, Talat, Manna Dey, and Bhupendra singing Hoke Majboor Mujhe Usne Bhulaya Hoga. Bhupendra appeared on the screen as well for the first time, much before he established himself as a playback singer. This song is also the only song in which four top-rated male playback singers have put voices together in a song. In 1966, he again paired with Lata Mangeshkar for Mera Saaya.
Madan Mohan's venture was Raj Khosla's version of "Woman in White", titled "Woh Kaun Thi?". This film has three Lata solos ('Naina barse rim jhim rim jhim', 'Lag ja gale' and 'Jo humne daastaan apni sunayee') and a Lata duet.
The late fifties, sixties and the early seventies were the most productive period in Madan Mohan's career. His songs from those decades include compositions for films like Adalat, Anpadh, Dulhan ek raat ki, Mera Saya, Dastak, Hanste Zakhm, Heer Raanjha, Maharaja, and Mausam, among many others. His second last bow was for a film released five years after his death, Chalbaaz. In 1970, during the changing times of western music he gave music based on ragas for Rajinder Singh Bedi's Dastak and won his only 1971 National Film Award for Best Music Direction. Its songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar are still considered her finest.
His legacy wouldn't be complete without mentioning the ghazal he composed for the movie "Dil Ki Rahein" - "Rasm-e-ulfat ko nibhaein to nibhaein kaise". The shayar(lyricist) for the ghazal was Naqsh Lallayalpuri and it was sung by Lata Mangeshkar. It is considered as one of the best songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar, ever.
Madan Mohan's son Sanjeev Kohli recreated 11 of his late father's unused compositions for the soundtrack of the 2004 Yash Chopra film Veer-Zaara. Later on, Kohli brought out an album "Tere Baghair" which contains some of Madan Mohan's songs.

Interesting e-mail discussion by Jay Subramanyam on SJ Yahoo group
Dear Shri Murthy Sir,
I wanted to respond to this mail of yours earlier but couldn't as I wanted to send in my response in detail. You have made a very interesting and a wonderfully balanced study of the last but the most controversial phase of S-J as a duo on which, theorists and music aficionados have submitted a whole roster of views and opinions. Yours of course, was (as always is) a most pragmatic view but there are so many who, with less reason and more out of convenience, have stated over the years that S-J's stocks had begun to plummet even before Jai expired so tragically in '71.
And I must say hats off to you for having highlighted Dada Burman's amazing resurgence during this very period â€" '69 -'71 when he gave some of most exquisite scores ever heard in Hindi cinema. While we talk about the trio of duos â€" SJ, KA and LP and their monopoly, Dada who rarely believed in hype or signing films by the dozen, quietly and unobtrusively came up with a slew of scores which were nothing short of remarkable â€" `Aradhana', `Prem Pujari', `Talash', `Gambler', Ishq Par Zor Naheen', `Sharmilee' and to an extent, `Jyoti'. Undoubtedly, for quality, Dada was the musical torch-bearer and not the trio of duos, during this period. As they say, once a genius, always a genius.
As for Jai hitting the bottle, I on a personal level would exercise circumspection on the issue as no such evidence has been unearthed that it had to do with his professional upheavals. Surely the vivisections that marked Jai's personal life in the later years did have their own repercussions but according those who were close to him, including Hasrat, it was primarily a force of habit, which led to Jai's chronic alcoholism and eventually took on alarming proportions.
I agree with you totally with regard to almost 2/3rds of your post. If you would allow me Sir, I have a slightly different take on the point that you have raised towards the end â€" that the big banners, who were queing to sign S-J earlier, were now deserting them, one by one. If you look at it closely, among the established producer/directors, J. Om Prakash, Subodh Mukherjee & L.V. Prasad (although his assistant and later an independent director, T. Prakash Rao stood by S-J) were perhaps, the only ones who shifted loyalties wholesale. Besides these, there was Mohan Kumar, who had also worked with Madan ji [`Anpadh', `Aap Ki Parchaiyan'] initially so he cannot be called an S-J regular as such, just as there were others like Ramanand Sagar and Kishore Sahu who did work with S-J in a couple of films but then they worked with the likes of Anil da, Salil da, Chitragupta as well, so here again, it wasn't exactly a case of their deserting the duo as such.
Besides let us remember that for a handful of those who left S-J, there were several big time producers/directors who were rock steady in their partnership with them right till the end â€" Raj ji himself, F.C. Mehra, Lekh Tandon, Bhappi Sonie, Aatmaram, K. Shanker, T. Prakash Rao and Ajit Chakraborty. These were as big names in the film fraternity as anybody else during that period. And for good measure, there were those who after a brief sabbatical, returned to the S-J fold during this very '69-'71 phase [something which had been pointed out so very rightly by Abhay ji] â€" Kishore Sahu [with `Sindoor' which was later shelved], Raja Nawathe [with `Bhai Bhai'], Ramanna [with `Aankh Michaoli'], Shridhar [with `Dharti' and Duniya Kya Jaane'] and to top them all, even J. Om Prakash, who was the first of the major filmmakers to have drifted away, came back to S-J [with `Aankhon Aankhon Mein']. Even the prestigious AVM banner came back to S-J after almost a  decade with `Main Sundar Hoon', which was their biggest hit in years. In addition, we had G.P. Sippy and Shakti Samanta, both among the front-runners, who were working with S-J right till the end with `Andaz' and `Jaane Anjaane', respectively. Plus, there were those fringe filmmakers who were fast coming up like Deven Verma [starting with `Yakeen'], Shyam Behl [starting with `Duniya'], Sohanlal Kanwar [starting with `Pehchaan'], Rajendra Bhatia [starting with `Kanyadaan'], M.C. Ramamurthy [starting with `Sachchai'] and Satish Wagle [starting with `Pyar Hi Pyar'] who had just about started their partnerships with S-J (each of them repeated S-J in their subsequent films) and would surely have continued with them had Jai not expired so suddenly. Then there were new filmmakers whose loyalties were never towards S-J, who were now filtering in â€" like Ravindra Dave and Kewal Kashyap, both K-A loyalists at one stage, who started working with the duo with
`Nagina' [that was shelved] and `Chori Chori', respectively; Tejnath Zar, who used to work with the low-key Bipin Babul, now took S-J for `Vachan' [launched in 1970] and subsequently for `Garam Khoon'; Hari Walia who did some films with Roshan, shifted towards S-J with `Latt Saheb' and `Door Naheen Manzil'. Finally, there were some like Pachchi and P.N. Arora, who may not have been staunch S-J loyalists but were with them for a major part.
Thus, as we can see there was neither a dearth of prominent banners or quality work for S-J at any stage right until 1971 and a majority of their regular producers/directors never really left them. Though on occasion, everybody is entitled to look around a bit. As said earlier, S-J even by that '70-'71 stage, had cultivated a whole new set of prominent/upcoming filmmakers, besides still having their loyal supporters, so at no stage, did they ever go out of reckoning/lose their standing in the market. Yes, as you have rightly said, their quality of works now compared a bit infavouably with their past but at that stage as school-goers, we just enjoyed what we heard. It is with age & experience that you learn to look back and do a critical analysis.
As for S-J losing their numero-uno status, I think this business of identifying Nos 1, 2 and 3 was as much a tight-rope walk then as it is today in the case of the three ruling Khans of Bollywood â€" Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir. One hit and the press is tom-toming about one of the three as the current No.1. I wonder who has framed rules to the effect that if one goes up, the other has to mandatorily come down. Can't people just co-exist in the popularity sweepstakes? I wouldn't for a moment think that S-J were anywhere other than the top even as late as September, 1971.
  Regards,
  Jay

EC orders BJP to remove Anurag Thakur, Parvesh Verma from star campaigners’ list - assembly elections
Tumblr media
The Election Commission on Wednesday ordered the BJP to drop Union minister Anurag Thakur and West Delhi lawmaker Parvesh Verma from its list of star campaigners for Delhi elections after the two politicians were accused of using provocative language. Verma had alleged that protesters gathered at Shaheen Bagh would enter homes, rape and kill and claimed that this can be prevented if the BJP is elected in the February 8 polls. Thakur, on the other hand, was sent notice by the poll body for his election speech where he was heard saying to a gathering, “desh ke gaddaron ko…” leading to the people to reply in unison “...goli maro s****n ko”. Thakur was campaigning for the party’s Rithala candidate Manish Chaudhary. The comments were seen in sequence with a string of controversial comments and, rivals allege, communally divisive rhetoric that the BJP has used over the past week in the Delhi election campaign. Analysts have said the BJP’s turn to divisive rhetoric is an attempt to consolidate Hindus in an election where it was widely perceived to start with a disadvantage because of the AAP’s contention of providing better governance. The BJP also does not have a CM face against the incumbent, Arvind Kejriwal, and is fighting the election in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Also Watch l ‘Name the place where you will shoot me’: Asaduddin Owaisi to Anurag Thakur  Harish Khurana, a spokesperson of the BJP’s Delhi unit and son of former chief minister Madan Lal Khurana, defended the union minister, saying that it was the crowd that uttered the inciteful words and not Thakur. “If you see the video, Thakur did not even say the words. So, in a way, he should not be held responsible. The slogan was not invented by him; it has lasted for years,” said Khurana. The Election Commission didn’t buy the argument to play down the minister’s role. A BJP candidate Kapil Mishra, too, have whipped up hateful speeches. Mishra was pulled up by the Election Commission for inciteful comments such as “Delhi mein chhote chhote Pakistan bane”, “Shaheen Bagh mein Pak ki entry”, etc. The election commission gagged him for 48 hours and an FIR was filed against him. Khurana, however, said that the hate exists on both sides. “More than about being right or wrong, one must see who started it. There were slogans of ‘Jinnah-wali azaadi’ at Shaheen Bagh. BJP leaders were told that they need to take permission to enter Shaheen Bagh, not to mention the inconvenience that has been caused to people,” said Khurana. Read the full article

This video is about Punjab AAP MLA from Sunam Aman Arora Proposal to congress MLAs to form government in the leadership of Navjot Singh Sidhu. Aman Arora declared support of 19 AAP MLAs to alternate government. Story starts with revolt of four Punjab Congress MLAs against CM Captain Amrinder Singh. These MLAs are Hardayal Singh Kamboj, Madan Lal Jalalpur, Nirmal Singh Shaturana and Kaka Rajinder Singh. Interestingly, all four belong to Patiala, home district of Captain Amrinder Singh. These MLAs are agitated against their phone taping. They are also against the arrogance of bureaucracy. These MLAs are also fed up with corruption in police and inaction against mafia. They sought meeting with Captain Amrinder Singh to discuss these issues. But Captain Amrinder refused to entertain them. Hence they came out and openly revolt against Captain Amrinder Singh. These MLAs claimed that at least 40 Congress MLAs are against the working style of Captain government. Aman Arora urged these 40 Congress MLAs to form government in the leadership of Navjot Sidhu with support of 19 AAP MLAs. Captain Amrinder took charge for second time as Punjab CM with two third majority in 2017. But his second inning is not doing well. Relation with Pakistani journalist Aroosa Alam is giving bad name to Captain Amrinder Singh. Financial crisis adding to the woos of Captain Amrinder Singh.  Revolt, started with ouster of Navjot Sidhu from cabinet, refuses to cease. Non fulfilling of poll promises, allegation of setting with Badals and defending accuses of sacrilege are other cause of tension for Captain Amrinder Singh.
