Hellooooo Tumblr! To any FFXIV folks who still may be looking my way on this site, I've made a new FC over on Dynamis, Maduin with the hope of making a cozy community on this quiet lil server! A space for friends, creatives and the LGBTQA+ community!

I had been wanting to start fresh on 14 for awhile now, I wanted to make a relaxed artsy space for people to come together and make friends and Dynamis struck me as the right place to do it, not only because of the significance the name has in the story of the game, but also because it doesn't deal with the crowding issues Balmung does! People are free to transfer or make alts on Maduin any time they want and I would be honored if you joined me

I plan to host monthly art parties as soon as the FC has a house!

my other alt! when they announced the new data center i was debating whether or not i should be a character there, and then they announced one of the servers would be called maduin and my ff6 obsessed self couldn't just Not have a character there. and then one of my friends came to me and asked if i'd be interested in going in half with them on getting an fc house on the new server for workshop sub tax evasion purposes and i was like oh hell yeah. so for those two reasons i had to come up with another idea for an alt

remembering that i had originally planned on making an au ra before being foiled by only having access to base arr races, i decided to try my hand at making the au ra i most likely Would have made if i had been allowed to make one from the beginning. it turned out to be hard because i was trying to make a character for a game i know almost everything about with the idea that it was supposed to be a character made when i knew nothing about it. after a while, this is who i wound up with!

anyway, this is hikari! she was originally supposed to have a different surname but i created her literally as soon as the new servers went live on reset day and i was too tired to remember what it was so now she's hikari mistdweller. it is what it is

i'm still working on her overall backstory because i learn more about her the longer i play but she's still in arr, but more or less her deal is that she was raised in a small village near the ruby sea. her parents were really shitty and emotionally abusive and she was basically their unfavorite child. then one day in her early teens, her sister died in an accident, and her family blamed her for it and got her kicked out of the village.

she kind of wandered for a while just doing her best to survive, clawing her own existence out of the dirt as best she could. eventually she heard tales of adventurers earning fortunes and glory in eorzea, and decided that she was going to go become really successful and cool and famous and make everyone in her town regret kicking her out.

as she got closer to eorzea she started hearing tales of raubahn aldynn's unlikely rise to syndicate member and flame general and decided to make for ul'dah to attempt to follow in his footsteps. and that is where the beginning of arr picks up, more or less

she's kind of uptight and serious and emotionally repressed but she is learning how to human better, slowly but surely. she is a perfectionist and a workaholic. she likes to bite people. she's a little feral. she can't cook and is perfectly happy eating tree bark if she can't scrounge up anything else. she was voted most likely to say 'what do you mean you're being murdered. they can't do that. that's illegal' in a crisis. she likes gemstones and mining and smithing her own weapons and armor. she thinks of herself as a weapon first and a person never. she's so determined to prove to everyone, herself most of all, that she's deserving of love and attention and respect, that she will give and give and give of herself until she is completely empty and then do it some more. she's a self loathing closeted gay but not in a homophobic way which shouldn't even be possible, and yet. she's a poor little meow meow. and she may or may not have autism.

even though she's still in arr i know two things without a doubt about what lies in store for her in future expacs:

in stormblood she returns to the ruby sea, eager to return to her hometown to show everybody that she's hot shit now and don't they feel bad for kicking her out... only to find that at some point between when she was exiled and when she returned, the garleans completely razed the town to the ground. there's nobody left. she will never have her catharsis

her skin/scale color combination kind of reminds me of wedgewood jasperware china, so in shb her sin eater form would be some sort of porcelain construct looking creature with kintsugi ribboned through damaged areas

anyway this is my sadgirl lesbian lizard that i like to put in the torture nexus i hope you enjoy her

4 new world servers on Dynamis...hmmm...I dont know how that is going to work out since Dynamis is already pretty dead as it is but yeah we'll see how that fares. I'm obviously not moving from Maduin because of my FC and my medium housies and my main's snuggybear being on Maduin with her. This woman has a page full of dyes, crafting mats. food items, furniture, etc in the company chest and a lot of stuff in her house inventory and there is absolutely no way in hell that her retainers can fit that stuff in their inventories because they're full. Life of a crafter. 🙈 Imagine the hassle it would take to move all that shit. No thank you. 😅😂🤣

I've been messing around with the benchmark, bringing a bunch of my alts into it to see how everyone looks. Here are the results!

Zalera: - My main is the larger image, my secondary main is the top left. - I have nine characters on this server. I didn't make a mistake. I have a second account. The catgirl at the bottom is the main on the second account.

Malboro: - I have 8 characters here, but I didn't copy over the "Meteor" character because obviously, everyone else with a Meteor character is going to do that.

The rest of my Crystal DC alts: - Brynhildr alts are in the two larger pictures - Balmung is the bunny boy on the middle left. They're supposed to be fixing how he looks... Characters with very light skin aren't looking good on the benchmark! - Mateus is the bunboy in the middle - The bottom row is all the Goblin alts!

Other alts on NA DC's: Primal - the catgirl in the top middle. I'm actively working on leveling her to 50 as a BLM Aether - the malezen in the bottom middle. He was my very first character created and sat on Siren as a level 2 for ten years before finally being leveled up some. I got him to 50 as a SCH to get the car during the FFXV cross-over event. Dynamis - all of the smaller pictures on the left and right. They're all on Maduin.

Materia DC: They're all on Ravana. I have a little story in my head about them and how they all wound up in Australia lol

I might have missed it but what job is she? Any doh/l on the side? Hobbies? I know she hates GCs but she is joining which one? What server did you put her if okay to ask. I assume as wol she got the Echo, how did she noticed that? Does she makes friends easily? Is she shy or not really just looks anxious. Her opinions about the Scions? Starter city and favorite place? Does she ever get to know Bard boys? Steph and team? Favorite food? Favorite flower?

(My parenting team ocs look at her, say she is too young and prepare a bag with everything necessary for new adventurers plus a few treats and tasty nutritional food and parenting books for the 3 dads including the classic “What to do when your Teenager goes Primal killing?” Don’t worry book comes with pictures if any of them dislikes reading. I have one dad oc that is a disaster as dad because he learned too late he had a son with a Miqo’te Keeper and their culture is different, he has read the parenting books, he is working on it, his son is same age as Sanaii but Keeper-Duskwight Miqo’te looking, don’t introduce them, she looks nice, he causes problems on purpose and by accident)

SANAII MY BABY GIRL-

She is a SAM main, but she's taking ARC/BRD through ARR; both are canon for her - she learns SAM from R'enze (or at least, the very barest basics; he knows basically nothing, and everything else she learns, canonically, through the job quests) and ARC from Zephyr. She also learns the basics of using a greatsword from R'azit, and DRK becomes a tertiary class for her. She does take up WVR and BTN! I want to say she fishes, but whether she'll actually pick up FSH, I don't know.

She's an avid reader - she likes to pick up new books everywhere she goes, usually trading them for the books she picked up elsewhere (unless she gets particularly attached to one or two). She's learning embroidery in what little downtime she has (which is what leads to her picking up WVR), but isn't very good at it yet. She gets better as time goes on.

I haven't actually decided which GC she'll join. I lean toward the Adders, but that's more because she's a Gridania starter than because she has any particular attachment to them. (Because BRD is canon for her, I could totally see her jumping ship to another GC after the events of the SB BRD quests.)

She's on Maduin! Taking advantage of that Road to 80 for as long as it's available.

Part of the reason she has amnesia has to do with her awakening to the Echo, actually - she awakened to it during the destruction of her village during the Calamity. The combined traumas left her with only hazy memories of her young childhood, even her name. She remembers it started with a R... unhelpful, considering she's from a branch of the R tribe. But she's had Echo episodes ever since. Her fathers believe they're fainting spells, but as no healer has judged them to be a cause for concern, they've always tried not to raise a fuss about it.

She doesn't trust easily, which can make it difficult to make friends. She also doesn't really try to make many friends, since being an adventurer means being constantly on the move, never really staying in one place for long. Against her will, though, people start gravitating to her - and more people like her than she expected. Or wanted. She's not sure how she feels about this "Champion of Eorzea," "Warrior of Light" business.

She's not really shy - she just looks very anxious, which makes people think she's likely to be shy and timid.

She's lukewarm on the Scions at first - she joins them only reluctantly, with the stipulation that she's free to leave any time. Minfilia has no idea how old she is. No one really does. (Then again, it's unclear how much it would matter, considering... Alphinaud. But I digress.) She comes around on them, obviously - especially the twins; it's nice to be traveling with people her own age. She and Alisaie get along especially well, being action-oriented. I feel like Estinien doesn't quite see her as a younger sibling the way he sort of does the other two, though. It's hard to see her as a child when she's faced down Nidhogg twice, and slays primals on the regular.

Starter city: Gridania. Favorite place: Hard to say. She gets very partial to Ishgard and Radz-at-Han.

She does get to know the bard boys! And probably also the MCH team, because I am what I am. Probably also the DNC team. I'll write more about those individually soon. <3

Favorite food: She's kind of a picky eater, something her dads have struggled with. She does very much enjoy most kinds of pasta, though.

Favorite flower: Oh, roses. Red roses.

(Catch Zephyr studiously reading the book while the other two look at the pictures in rising horror; they did NOT agree to let their baby girl fight MONSTERS what IS THIS. I think the kids should meet. What's the worst that could happen.)

I decided to bite the bullet and transfer my characters to Maduin. Why? Because I have very few friends on Mateus, one or maybe two. And one of them I definitely only talk to on Discord because we've been friends for almost a decade now. You know who you are. <3 Most of my friends are on Balmung annnnd we rarely do anything together anyway. We chat, we say hi in passing but nothing that will effect our friendships if I'm on a different DC. The biggest reason I transferred is that on Mateus, the chances of my getting a house, even with people leaving are extremely slim. I have better chances of getting one on Maduin.

I don't RP enough for it to matter what server or DC I'm on. So, yeah. Bye Crystal, it's been real.

Coliseum Gladiator: Sah’a is a member of the Gladiators’ Guild and a semi-accomplished fighter on the Ul’dahn Bloodsands. If that’s your sport, you might have seen him fight or heard of him.

Outdoors Explorer: Whether it be out hunting, mining, or simply enjoying and exploring the arid Thanalan, it’s not unusual to find Sah’a outside the city walls. He’ll happily lend his blade for any manner of trouble he runs into while about his own tasks.

Up in Others’ Business: Call it being helpful or being meddlesome, but if Sah’a sees something out of order, he’s wont to step in regardless of how he’s likely to be received. So be annoyed or be grateful, you’ll have little luck getting rid of him before everything is resolved.

City Resident: As he calls Ul’dah his home, it’s entirely possible to see Sah’a going about his daily life in whatever manner that life requires at the moment. He’s happy to indulge in conversation even with strangers, worry not about that.
