I'll complain about people who write characters out of character yet I have two Bakugan chatfics with Magnus in them, which is already out of character no matter how well/badly I write his personality as canonly Magnus only replies to one in four messages from his SISTER so anyone else who texts him would probably NEVER get a response. /hj

Your a Shun fanboy, I want your entire opinion on reboot Shun. Let the words fly 👌

i haven't watched past the first episode of the reboot lol so i can't say much about his character, only the concept of him that i've heard and read about. from what i understand he's basically marucho but they tacked shun's name onto him? and his bakugan is like tigress but aquos?

now of course my view is tainted because i'm longtime fan of the original series and especially of the original shun, so i'm coming in with that pov, but the way they present reboot shun is just primed to make me not like him. this is primarily because he has the name of original shun but none of his characteristics; it has nothing really to do with reboot shun's character because i haven't even seen an episode with him in it. to me, tacking shun's name onto this character who obviously resembles the original marucho more than original shun, is in part nostalgia bait. it's just them adding the second most popular character just to say he's in it when that character bears no resemblance to the one people are attached to and would have tuned in to watch for.

instead, magnus easily became my favorite reboot character despite me only watching one episode. he's obviously a shun/masquerade lovechild, dude was even named masquerade in the production sheets before they changed his name. he's the character most like shun in concept - he's fighting to save his sickly sister, which immediately draws parallels to shun and shiori. he's even got the antenna. love this little guy so much.

also i know i have they/he pronouns in bio but i prefer to not be called boy/fanboy by people i'm not close with! ty <33
