“Corn Syrup, Like in Carrie” | The Mikaelson Boys
Hey my lovelies this is my fic for @hellotvshowtrash ‘s March Prompt Challenge— I hope you all enjoy and especially you, Ash! I literally wrote this in a few hours so I hope it isn’t terrible; I wanted to make sure I actually submitted this month though because you put a lot of hard work into making fun things for us. I haven’t written for these boys in a while so this was nice :)
Description: Y/n drags Kol into a plan that is more dumb luck than actual planning— is it even a question that he would be willing to help?
Pairing: The Mikaelson Boys x Female!Reader
Warnings: Mentions of blood and death but in a casual, funny way (sadistic but funny), this might be the grungiest thing I’ve written to date
Word count: 1.99k (it’s literally 1999k, I pushed this as far as possible)
Tags: Fluff, a lil angst if you squint (squint is used loosely here)
Prompt: “This plan of yours is going to get us killed. Of course I’m in.”
Kudos if you get the picture easter egg!
Tumblr media
“You want to do what now?”
She huffs but the wicked smile on her face carves through the annoyance— of course she isn’t actually exasperated with him.
“You heard me Kol— I want to scare him!”
The brown eyed vamp rolls his eyes but his own grin is just as cunning. She can see the spark in his eyes, that little glint that lets her know everything she needs to know— lets her know that he’s in.
All in.
“You know that’s impossible darling,” he toys, his smirk too coy for a man over a thousand years old. “Klaus doesn’t get scared.”
She laughs— that’s what he thinks.
Kol’s brows push together, the glint growing alongside his smile, his sharp teeth poking into his lip. “I know that look— that look is never good.”
She meets him where he leans against the countertop, hopping up beside him and wrapping her arms around his cool shoulders. “Oh it’s good alright, Kol-y. I think you’ll like it very much.”
He turns towards her, running his nose across her jaw, peppering a few kisses against her skin before tilting his face up. “Well out with it then, darling— what’s the plan?”
She giggles, pressing her lips against his quickly before pulling back, pecking the vampire’s nose when he scrunches it. She shakes her head at his puppy dog eyes— easily distracted, that one is.
She leans down, whispering her idea into his ear, her chest blossoming with warmth when he shivers against her lips. She can’t tell if it’s because of how close she is or because he likes her plan— both, most likely. When she finishes speaking she nips his ear, tugging gently before releasing him. He groans when his ear meets the cool kitchen air, twisting to push between her legs.
He leans down, pressing his lips against her again. She can taste the mischief on his lips, tangy and sharp— someone has been eating blackberries again.
“You’re a menace darling.”
“Hmm” she hums her agreement against his berry lips— “I learned from the best.”
He chuckles and this time she shivers, his lips trailing down her neck. “Is that so?”
She pushes against his chest, trying to regain some of his attention. This is important. She slips her fingers into his soft hair, knitting them between the strands and tugging until his baby browns meet her gaze. He sighs, his smile less menacing and more longing than moments ago. He raises his brow, his eyes flitting to her neck before going back to her eyes— are you going to speak or can I go back to what I was doing?
She huffs.
“Are you in or not, Mikaelson?” She grinds out as he tugs against her hand, just barely nipping at her sensitive skin.
He groans when she pulls her throat away from his ministrations, finally standing straight again. His hands slide up the sides of her neck, smoothing against her jaw, fingers hooking behind her ears.
“This plan of yours is going to get us killed, darling.” His soft grin sharpens as he speaks, the glint resurfacing in his eyes. To her it makes him look beautiful. It makes him look dangerous. “Of course I’m in.”
** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **
“Alright,” Kol announces, his cheerful voice drifting from the entrance to the compound to where she lays in a heap next to the couch. “He’s coming down the street now— I can hear him on the phone. I think he’s talking to Elijah.”
She can’t see the vamp but she knows that the mirth in his voice is much too extensive considering what they are about to do. Oh well. She raises a hand— she can’t speak with the blonde who’s now on their street hearing— signalling for him to get into place—
—and for him to dump the bucket of corn syrup, red dye number five, and just enough of her blood to make it smell real all over her body.
It goes on warm and sticky, scarily similar to actual blood, drenching the t-shirt she has decided to sacrifice. It’s for a good cause, she has to remind herself. Her skin itches where the mixture clings to her and she has to keep from giggling, her shoulders shaking. This had better work.
Kol’s boot nudges against her butt, tsking as she swallows another giggle. “Get with it darling— he’s almost here.”
She nods, splaying her limbs out in a way she imagines a dead— or almost dead— body would look. She doesn’t have to imagine too hard.
“Good job,” Kol whispers. “Billy Loomis would be proud.”
She smiles quickly at the reference— part of her plan was making him watch Scream with her.
“He’s here— let’s do this—“
The end of his sentence is cut off by a yell— his yell. They have to cover the sound of her heartbeat somehow. She can only keep her heart so steady and she’s not trying to give herself away before the fun has really begun. Thank heaven Kol has a good pair of lungs— and that he doesn’t need to breathe.
“Yeah I just go ba— Kol?” Like with Kol, she can’t see Klaus but she can hear him and the way his voice falters in confusion.
“Brother—” the way Kol’s voice hitches at the end of the word makes her almost break character. Someone sign this man up for an Oscar immediately— “I don’t know what happened. I left to get some of that ice cream she’s always talking about and— and—”
Klaus doesn’t speak but over Kol’s scarily astute acting she can hear commotion on the other end of his cellphone. Elijah— jackpot.
A double prank.
“Elijah give me a minute— Kol, what happened?”
Klaus’ heavy boots thunk against the concrete, the vibrations radiating through her cheek where it presses against the ground. His steps are almost as thundering as his voice, both echoing through the open space.
Kol plays along with his brother’s anger, matching it with his own. “I just said I don’t know!”
“What do you mean you don’t know! Look at her and tell me what you see—” his words stop, the air punctuated by a loud crack, no doubt the sound of his Iphone shattering into a hundred pieces.
Oops.
Suddenly there are hands on her back, nudging her softly, pulling at the sticky fabric of her t-shirt. You’re going to have to do better than that to wake the dead, babe. His hands get steadily more frantic— and more slimy— dragging the blood concoction into her hair as he checks her scalp and neck for injury. She holds her breath as his hand wraps around her jaw, lifting her face gently.
“Fuck, Kol, why is she bleeding so much?”
Kol only screeches in answer— again, she almost loses it. Klaus must not like that answer very much because he curses under his breath. Well, under his breath is a relative term. She is sure the entirety of Bourbon street hears the F-bomb he drops. The word is accompanied by the sound of her shirt being ripped in two. Here we go.
She feels a whoosh of air against her now revealed skin, steeling against the shiver that creeps up her spine at the cold air. Soon there is another pair of hands on her, sliding down her slick arms. She can picture the dyed corn syrup staining Elijah's dress shirt and the glare in his dark eyes when he realizes she has teamed up with his brother to wreak mayhem.
“What’s going on? What happened?” His sultry voice is worse than the cold air— and much harder to stave off.
“I don’t know—” both Klaus and Kol speak in unison, Klaus taking over for the both of them— “but there isn’t time to find out right now.”
Before she has time to process his words her body is being flipped over, her back pressing into the icy, sticky concrete. It takes all of her strength not to squeal at the contact. She hears a noise much too juicy for her liking before a warm artery is pressed against the seam of her lips. Perfect!
“C’mon love, please—”
When her mouth fills with a thick, metallic substance she breaks, springing forward and coughing wildly, making sure to swallow a good amount before hacking the rest up. She runs an arm across her eyelids, trying to unstick them but only managing to coat her eyelashes even more.
When she finally manages to peel her eyes open, spitting the last of Klaus’ blood out of her mouth, she is met with the faces of two shocked vampires and one vampire who is laughing his ass off. Kol’s laughter is infectious— especially because she’s been holding back giggles since the start of their ruse— and soon she is joining him, laughing so hard she falls backwards again into the goo.
For a moment there is silence— only the sound of her and Kol’s laughter— before it gives way to Klaus’ deathly calm voice. “What the hell is going on here?”
She pushes herself up on an elbow, flashing him a scarlet drenched smile— she would give anything to see her crimson teeth right now. She runs her tongue over them to enhance the point.
“Did I scare you?”
His eyes flash with black. “Did you scare me—”
“Yes, you scared us!” Elijah’s red hands wrap around her forearms, hauling her into his chest without a care for his white shirt. “May I ask why?”
Elijah’s chest shudders, his arms curling around her waist. He wasn’t lying— he’s terrified. He smells like cooking oil and metal but she doesn’t care— he’s too warm for her to mind. His lips press against her forehead and she almost feels bad.
Almost.
A hand wraps around her hair from behind, yanking her back from his brother’s chest. “What Elijah means to say is can we demand why? Why you would try something like that?”
She dips her head further back, squinting up at the furious blonde. “Oh you already know why, love.”
He rolls his eyes, his jaw clenched but leaning down to brush his cheek against hers regardless. “Indulge me anyway.”
She tilts her head, skimming her tacky lips against his stubble. “To make a point.”
“Oh yeah? And what point might that be?”
“That I am fragile—” she pulls upright, turning in Elijah’s arms and dropping the cheshire grin— “that you can’t protect me all the time—” she pushes forward, crawling onto Klaus’ drenched lap— “that I need to be like you.”
He sighs, his forehead dropping against hers, his hands curling around her jaw. “This again?”
Her arms hook around his neck, fingers tangling in his blonde hair. “You know I’m right.”
Klaus’ shoulders slump, his golden eyebrows knitting together. “Does it have to be right now?”
“Your blood is already in my system.”
“You’re going to be the death of me, you know that?”
She smiles back at him, leaning in for what she hopes is one last human kiss. “Shouldn’t I be the one saying that?”
He only sighs, shaking his head as Kol laces his fingers with hers. She turns to the brown eyed vamp just in time to see him pass her a mischievous wink.
It is the last thing she sees before the world around her goes dark.
** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **
She wakes feeling significantly less sticky than she had when she blacked out— and significantly more hungry. She can’t remember the last time her throat was dry like this. Is she catching a cold? She shifts slightly, her elbow piling into a pillow underneath her. The pillow grunts.
Not a pillow.
Kol rises beside her, pressing a hand to her chest until she falls back against the mattress and then rolling on top of her, sinking his face against her neck. The words he mumbles into her skin make her dead heart stop in the best way.
“I told you that plan would get you killed.”

summary:  my submission to @hellotvshowtrash’s challenge: #March2021promptchallenge, using the prompt: “This plan of yours is going to get us killed.  Of course I’m in.”
pairing: klaus mikaelson x reader
word count: 384 words
warnings: uhhhh daggering siblings is a klaus thing to do, no?  uhhh klaus crying, only rebekah being undaggered at the time, reader is said to be a vampire like once
a/n: ahhhhhhh this is set in late season 2, with slight modifications (of course).  also ash pls forgive me for my additions to your challenge always being super short.  idk.  alsdkfjalsdfjk sorry.  also not me with the ironic titles again. oops.  just look up the song by the front bottoms.  it’s not really accurate with the blurb i wrote but the title fits.
Tumblr media
His tears made your heart ache.  You didn’t remember the last time your boyfriend actually cried in front of you.
You reached forward, taking ahold of his hand.  “Klaus?”
He pulled his hand away.  When he got like this, you knew it was better for him to come around on his own time.
You sat down beside of him, watching him with soft eyes.  There was nothing you could do for him except be there.
You leaned back, staring towards the fire that raged within the fireplace.
Klaus roughly wiped his tears away and he looked over at you.  He swallowed thickly, clearly not over whatever it was that had him upset.  But he wanted to try and move on.
“They have them.”
You tilted your head in confusion.  “They have what?”
“They have them,” he repeated.  “Each of them.  Each of my damn coffins.  I have to get them back,” he breathed out, squeezing his eyes shut.
“Wait, wait,” you softly spoke, taking his hand again.  This time, he didn’t pull his hand away.  “Your sister is awake and undaggered.  So... they have Kol, Elijah, and your mother?”
He gave a curt nod.
“We’ll get them back,” you said, smiling softly at your boyfriend.  No matter how he treated his siblings, you knew that you needed to stay by his side.  He was all you had, after all.  Anything he did, you had to support... or at least, not stop him from doing it.
“I have a plan,” Klaus said, turning to face you.  You listened to him, taking in every word he said.  “I’ll bring in Rebekah, of course.  She will understand how important this is.  Are you in?”
You blinked slowly, unable to keep your smile from showing.  “Klaus, this plan of yours is going to get us killed,” you said, watching as his own smile appeared.  “Of course I’m in.”
“That’s my [Your name],” he grinned, leaning forward to kiss you.  “The only vampire who’s ever truly stayed by my side.  You have no idea how much I appreciate you.”
You just smiled, wondering how in the world you were going to pull of his plan without someone dying.  At the very least, you wondered how you were going to get through this without Klaus trying to kill everyone involved.

Crime Boss!Elijah Mikaelson x Reader

Word count: 1.7k
This is my entry for the March 2021 prompt challenge!!! Reblog/like if you enjoyed!
Prompt: “This plan of yours is going to get us killed. Of course I’m in.”
Huge thank you to @dumble-daddy for being my beta for this. I really appreciate you ❤️
Thank you to @mikaelson-emma for letting me use your beautiful moodboard!!! It fits this fic perfectly imo ❤️
Tumblr media
She sat nervously across from Elijah as he sipped his bourbon, his dark eyes boring through her as she agonized over the silence.
“That’s your plan?” He finally asked.
“Simple as that,” Y/N replied, shrugging. Her leg bounced as he processed the plan she’d given him, his eyes traveling to the window at the side of the room. She eyed the newspaper on his desk, headlined “Four More Girls Missing From The New Orleans Area”. Her stomach dropped.
“I wouldn’t call it ‘simple’ by any means. Dangerous, maybe.” His face was stoic as he thought it over. She moved her gaze to him and let it wander down his form, past the scar on his chin and down to the bruised knuckles that grasped his glass, the ring he wore on his middle finger shone as it caught the light. She recognized the Mikaelson Family crest engraved onto the silver as he set the glass down, distracting her from her thoughts about just what those hands could do and what they have done. “The Crescent Gang is small, but has proved to be a nuisance.”
Her eyes moved back up to him, skimming over his lips, back up to the dark umber of his eyes. He was watching her again, and she inhaled sharply as she realized he’d watched her scan him. The ghost of a smile passed over his lips before he sighed and pushed himself out of his chair, standing before her. She rose quickly out of respect for her employer.
“You’re my most trusted employee.” He began to walk around the desk and she turned her body to continue facing him. She stood with her hands at her sides, her face professionally blank as she nodded. He moved in front of her, the side of his leg pressing against the front of the desk. “And I trust you,” he traced his fingers up her arm, sending electrifying chills through her.
She swallowed roughly at the proximity—he was just in front of her now, and she could feel his breath on her face. He reached his hand up and cupped her cheek in his palm, gently pulling her in to kiss her. Her eyes fluttered shut and the rigidity in her spine fled as she melted into him, her arm stretched so she could intertwine her fingers in the hair on the nape of his neck. The other gripped onto his suit sleeve tightly.
He chuckled and pulled away. “This plan of yours is going to get us killed. Of course I’m in. But more importantly, we’ll be rid of the Crescent Gang after this.” He took a step backward, pulling himself away from his lover.
She gulped and nodded, suddenly hesitant about the whole ordeal. “I’ll get prepared,” she said, turning to exit his office. He watched her walk away, taking a swig of his bourbon as she exited.
Once she was far enough down the hall from him, she checked over her shoulder and pulled out her phone. She dialed a number and held the ringer to her ear. She waited to hear the female voice answer with a “Did he agree?”.
“The plan is a go,” she muttered into the phone as tears stung in her eyes. She hung up and made her way to the rendezvous point.
Elijah waltzed into the docking area, his fingers toying with the ring occupying his middle finger. He whistled lightly as his footsteps echoed through the chambers. He thought of the plan Y/N had told him, exhausted every option that could go wrong and he could think of no holes in her precariously prepared idea. He had all the confidence in the world in her. He shook his head as his thoughts drifted to her, her eyes, her hair, her body - no, he had more important things to think about right now. He turned past the next shipping container and found two figures standing, waiting for his arrival.
“Finally you show up,” the woman quipped. She stood tall and proud, fists at her side. She had prominent cheekbones, dark hair and her fierce eyes were rimmed with dark eyeliner. She wore a leather jacket and dark jeans, with boots rising to her mid-calf. Quite the looker, Elijah thought. Beside her stood a taller man, with tousled dark hair and a matching beard, wearing a green flannel shirt, jeans and steel-toed boots.
“Hayley and Jackson, I presume?” Elijah asked, nonchalantly. He let his hands fall to his sides, tucking them into his pockets. His pristine suit and hair threw them off, he presented himself so well, they never would have guessed the mess that lay inside.
“Obviously,” the woman rolled her eyes and the man looked at her and put his hand out.
“Calm down, Hayley. Elijah, we just want to talk.” Jackson said, taking a step toward Elijah.
Elijah smiled stiffly. “Fine. Let’s talk,” he said, “You’ve been interfering with my business,” he pursed his lips.
“We just want in. You’re taking over the entire trade.” Jackson said.
“Drug smuggling is not a joint operation,” Elijah snapped. “If you want ‘in’ as you say, you come in under my employ, not by trying to compete,” he chuckled dryly.
“We don’t want to be employed by you, we’ve seen how quickly you’re willing to turn on your employees, your own family,” Hayley interjected, “You didn’t want to compete for head of household, so you got rid of your older brother Finn.”
Elijah glared at her, “He had no idea what he was getting into, the business was rightfully mine anyway,” he snarled. Elijah was losing his carefully crafted composure, quickly. How could they have known about Finn? “It’s not like my father was doing us any favours, either, leaving the company to him.” He was running his mouth and this would not end well for him.
Hayley looked at him in horror, “Did you kill your own father, as well?” she asked.
Elijah was beginning to crumble as his mind circled back to Y/N’s plan. She must be waiting for just the right time. He tried to bring his composure back, running a hand through his finely gelled hair, causing strands to fall loose. He plastered a pleasant smile on his face. “Why would you think that? My father died of natural causes. Not that I need to prove anything to you,” he said calmly. Hayley’s face remained horrified, while Jackson shook his head slightly.
“You’re an even bigger monster than I took you for,” Jackson said. The words echoed through the docking area, bouncing off of the walls of giant storage containers. Y/N listened from behind a container, hidden from sight. A tear fell down her cheek. The man she loved was surely using her to expand his own empire—nothing and no one would get in his way. She peered around the container, seeing Elijah’s back to her. Hayley and Jackson were starting to falter, they hadn’t expected such a revelation.
Elijah’s eyes and grin widened, quite frankly scaring Hayley. “You don’t even know half of it,” Elijah said quietly. He seethed at the two before him. They didn’t know him, they didn’t know the extent of what he would do, what he had done for his family, for his business. “The Mikaelson business is only just beginning.”
Jackson took another step toward Elijah, holding his hand up to try to calm him down. Elijah chuckled at the attempt. “Don’t try me, Mr. Kenner.” Jackson stopped in his tracks at the use of his surname. His eyes darkened as he looked at Elijah. “Don’t think I don’t know all about your daughter, Hope, is it?” Elijah snickered at their scared faces, his threat lingering underneath his words. Y/N shook her head, she couldn’t bear to let this continue any longer.
She stepped out from behind the shipping container, raising her pistol to Elijah’s back and firing a shot into his left shoulder, causing him to grunt and pivot, turning to face her. Shock covered his face as he saw her, his eyebrows furrowing. Before he had time to ask any questions, she fired another shot into his abdomen.
A sob broke free from her lips as the red stain blossomed on his white undershirt, his hands cradling the wound as he fell backward. He gasped for air as pain engulfed him and he wondered if this is how Finn felt. Hurt. Betrayed. Confused. Y/N lowered her weapon and rushed toward him, tears staining her cheeks as she watched him pale.
“Why?” he croaked, his voice already fading. She lowered herself to her knees next to him as she sobbed.
“Those girls. They’re missing because of you. Trafficked and for what? More money? As if you need it,” she growled through her tears. The man before her was different, horrible and inhuman, changed from the man she knew. He smiled humourlessly and she gulped, wiping her face as she looked down at him. “You were right. My plan was to get you killed.”
His body shook as he exhaled his last breath, his eyes glossing over. She clenched her jaw and stood from him turning to look at Hayley and Jackson. They nodded at her. She turned and walked away from the body of her lover.
The Mikaelson Family business came crashing down as all of the siblings died mysterious deaths. Elijah was murdered in a warehouse by the riverbanks of the Mississippi. Klaus was unlucky and ‘choked’ on his dinner while out entertaining business partners. Kol was involved in a mugging gone wrong and Rebekah mysteriously died in her sleep. Freya’s body was found hanging in the attic of the Mikaelson Estate.
Law enforcement wasn’t asking questions about these deaths, though. Police Chief Gerard saw this as a great favour to the city of New Orleans as the missing girls began to come home to their families. Jackson and Hayley hugged Hope a bit tighter that night. Y/N drank herself into a stupor at Rousseau’s, which she assumed would also be closing up shop for good as it was a known point of contact for the Mikaelson drug trade. The ‘gang’ known as the Crescent Wolves were revealed to be a movement for trafficking survivors, helping free those in need across the country, holding fundraisers and rides for awareness.
Y/N attended the funerals for all the Mikaelson siblings, not in mourning but in closure. The family that unleashed hell on her city got what they deserved.

Ruins - March 2021 Prompt Challenge
Tumblr media
Prompt: “This plan of yours is going to get us killed. Of course I’m in.”
Warning: KATLIJAH ANGST
Tagging some mutuals: @hellotvshowtrash @elijahs-wife @mikaelson-emma @dumble-daddy @imaginearyparties
“Katerina, I need your help.”
Katherine looked up from her magazine and smiled. “My, my, Mikaelson, to what do I owe the pleasure?”
Elijah’s face darkened. “My brother is in town.”
Katherine stood up and tried to bolt for the door. Elijah’s hand clamped around her wrist. “Katerina, stop. I need your help.”
Katherine whipped around on him. “Do you want me dead? Klaus promised to kill me! Elijah!”
“He has my siblings.”
“You plan to trade me in?” Katherine hissed angrily.
“No!” Elijah said. “But I want Niklaus to think that...”
Katherine shook her head. “You want to use me as bait. You’re out of your mind.”
“Katerina,” Elijah pleaded. “Please. If you’ll only just help me, my siblings and I will protect you from Niklaus for life. I beg of you, please do this.”
Katherine pursed her lips. Unfortunately, she’d always been very bad at saying no to Elijah Mikaelson. And the promise of protection sounded nice.
Katherine raised an eyebrow. “How do I know you won’t trade me in?”
Elijah’s eyes were very serious. “I give you my word.”
“This plan of yours is going to get us killed,” Katherine said with a sigh. “Of course I’m in.”
Elijah smiled. “Thank you, Katerina.”
Katherine nodded softly. “You’re welcome.”
-
Elijah called Klaus that night to let him know that he was going to bring Katherine to him, in exchange for their siblings.
The real plan was that a small amount of Elijah’s vampires were to sneak in through the back and steal the Mikaelsons out from under Klaus’ nose, and then Elijah was going to kill Klaus once and for all.
Elijah and Katherine drove up to Klaus’ ostentatious home in Mystic Falls.
“Elijah, brother!” Klaus said as he strolled out of the house. “What a lovely surprise. And dear Katherine...” Klaus looked her up and down. “An even lovelier surprise.”
Elijah furrowed his eyebrows. “Where are my siblings, Niklaus?”
Klaus raised a finger. “Our siblings. And I’m sure they’re all loaded up into your car by now, hm?”
Elijah’s heart thumped loudly, and Katherine shot him a worried glance.
Klaus laughed and shook his head. “Well, if I hadn’t killed your little friends, that is.”
Suddenly, Katherine was snatched from Elijah’s side at vampiric speed and delivered right into Klaus’ arms.
Katherine squirmed and kicked as Klaus wrapped a hand around her throat. One of the vampires to his side handed him a large wooden stake.
Klaus grinned. “Never forget, brother. Anything you can do, I can do better.”
“Don’t hurt her,” Elijah said loudly. “Niklaus, do not lay a finger on her. I ask you as your brother-“
“Too late!” Klaus yelled back.
Katherine’s dark eyes became wide. “Elijah-“
Klaus plunged the stake straight into Katherine’s chest, forcing a look of intense pain across her face.
Klaus sighed. “Look what you’ve done, brother.” He ripped the dagger out. “If my calculations are correct, there’s a large splinter where the wall of her heart used to be.” Klaus grinned and ran away.
Elijah could hardly register the way his own heart twisted in his chest. He sped to Katherine’s side.
“I’ll fix this,” he whispered, tears falling down his face as he caressed her cheek. “Katerina, I give you my word that I’ll-“
“Don’t,” Katherine said quietly, her dark eyes training themselves on him. “Don’t promise, don’t swear, don’t give me your word. Elijah, I am dying. I don’t want to die making you a liar.”
“Oh, Katerina,” he muttered pitifully, sniffling pathetically and feeling very much like a small boy who had no choice over anything.
Elijah was meant to be one of the most powerful creatures in the world. But none of that mattered now. Nothing mattered at all, because Katherine’s life was fading.
And if he didn’t have her, what did he have?
Katherine blinked, her own tears falling down her face. “I have... many regrets. But you were never one of them.”
“Katerina, if I could trade my place in this world for yours, I would do it,” Elijah whispered, stroking her dark curls away from her face.
“I know, Elijah,” Katherine whispered, a wistful smile forming across her lips.
He held her to his chest. “I will kill him for what he’s done to us. For what he’s done to you.”
“Vengeance.” Katherine laughed weakly. “It seems such a petty thing now.”
Elijah sighed softly, feeling even more tears slip down his face. “My Katerina.”
“Yes,” she whispered softly, gazing up into his eyes. “Remember me as your Katerina. That young girl who believed in fairytales and ever afters. She died so long ago.”
“Not to me,” Elijah whispered. “She never died to me. She never will.”
Katherine smiled softly and touched her hand to his as the skin of her neck began to gray. Tears fell from her eyes. “I will always love you.”
Elijah nodded. “I will love you, always.”
Katherine smiled softly, her skin graying— all of it— and dark veins marring what used to be beautiful. What used to be Elijah’s.
And what used to be Katherine, lied dead in his arms.
What used to be Elijah was quiet and still, tears slipping down his stone face, and anguish twisting in his frozen heart, for as long as it took for him to move on.
The ivy would grow over Elijah Mikaelson and his beautiful Katerina, and the day of moving on would never come.

Let's run around the world
This plan of yours is going to get us killed. I’m in. march2021promptchallenge
Pairing: Rebekah x Enzo
Word Count: 1277
A/N: First time trying this pairing. I’ve seen people talking about it and I think it would be fun
All errors are mine, I'm too lazy to look it up, sorry
Tagging: @hellotvshowtrash @elijahs-wife @elijahswife @umaficwriter @ronniemikaelson @lovelyandproblematic @mikaelson-emma @nikmikaelsonswife @xxwritemeastoryxx sorry if I forgot people, I'm starting this '-'
She never thought she would fall in love again. Not like this, especially not with who this man was and his friendship towards her exes. Well, just one ex and another one-night stand. Whatever. Both were laughing loudly and drinking more than enough to inebriate them. Suddenly he got up, pulling her with him, stumbling wildly through the room, snickering like children.
“Oh, come on. Not this Original blonde, Enzo! What is your problem?” The vampires stopped, turning to face the owner of the voice, the brunette was frowning and the blonde was not in the best mood. Vamp speeding to Damon, she smiled wickedly, snapping his neck in a second, happily waltzing back to Enzo’s side.
“Where do you want to go? We’re too drunk.”
“We are not drunk enough to dance, gorgeous.” Rebekah groaned, pushing him away but was smiling at his idea.
“Don’t think you can act cute and all that just because you called me ‘gorgeous'.” He snorted, pulling her back to him, hugging her waist, and letting his head fall on her shoulder.
“Whatever you say, gorgeous. Let’s go.” She snickered once more and they left, going straight to Mystic Grill. If she was honest, Rebekah was extremely happy she wasn’t back in Nola. Since she returned to her own body, she was ready to kill her mother and be done with the family drama. And done she was when they turned their wretched of a mother into a vampire. Fleeing was surprisingly easy and the fact that Nik respected her was something she was still finding it difficult to believe.
The Original sister felt giddy with the attention Enzo gave her, being a true gentleman and funny. Of course, there were times where they fought and she snapped his neck, but no relationship is perfect. They both had their fair share of problems with family and were simply looking for a place to be quietly enjoying their lives. She could still remember the first time they finally slept together, the euphoric feelings, and the way they shared blood. If she could, she knew she would blush profusely. Their bed talk was so simple, so naive and full of dreams she knew how lucky she was to have come back and meeting Damon’s old friend.
“What are you thinking about, gorgeous?”
“Stop calling me that.” She asked fighting a smile that was slowly making its way to her lips. He nipped her neck and she bit her lip, closing her eyes while she enjoyed the feeling of being with him. A throat cleared beside them, making both vampires turn their heads not impressed and angry at the interruption.
“Hello, mate. We’ll want bourbon, will be easier if you just hand over the bottle.” Rebekah snickered again, seeing Matt roll his eyes before leaving them be. Enzo pulled the blonde with him, seating in the back, on a table where they would see everything but wouldn’t be disturbed if they didn’t want to. After they finally had the bottle of bourbon and were virtually alone, they drank even more, talking about stupid ideas and the plans for the future.
“You know... We could just travel around the world. I would show you so many places that I know you would love.”
“And where would take me first, love?” Rebekah smiled coyly, stealing his cup and drinking it in one go, much to his annoyance.
“Well, we could always go to Paris. France is amazing... Or maybe we could go to Tokyo. The girls surely would love your accent.” She dryly remarked, rolling her eyes and ignoring his growing smirk.
“There’s a place I want to go first.”
“And where is it?”
“New Orleans.” Rebekah choked, coughing loudly calling the attention of a few patrons, and glared at her boyfriend, clearly not amused by his choice. Enzo, on the other hand, simply smiled happily, having fun at her expense, of course.
“Do you hear yourself? It seems like you never heard a freaking word of what I said about my family!”
“Love, lower your voice, please. No need to fret.”
“Lorenzo, darling... We can’t go there... My brothers wo-”
“We’re going tomorrow. It’s decided.” She opened and closed her mouth like a fish for a few seconds, trying to process his words.
“Please tell me this is just a drunk idea.”
“Nope, gorgeous. I need to meet your family.”
“This plan of yours is going to get us killed. Of course, I’m in.”
Rebekah regretted many things in life, getting drunk was only one of them. But what she really regretted was the raging headache she was enduring after getting in New Orleans and hearing her brothers arguing over her newest lover. They had already threatened to kill Enzo in a million different ways and the bastard wasn’t helping with his smirks and remarks towards Niklaus.
“For God’s sake, Enzo, just shut up.” He pouted, making her melt and embrace him, kissing him slowly much to her sibling's disgust.
“This is a family home, Rebekah!”
“If you say anything else I’ll stake you, Kol! And if you give one more step towards Enzo, I’ll get Caroline’s heart and feed you with her intestines, Nik!” She screamed, making her brothers freeze in place.
“Children, please! Can't you behave for thirty minutes?” Elijah, bless her older brother, was already tired of the constant bickering and trying, uselessly, to control his family. Rebekah glared at her boyfriend, her face screaming at him ‘I told you so!’.
“You’re asking too much of our beloved brothers, Elijah.” She sneered, pulling her boyfriend away to walk with her and enjoy the quarter’s festivities.
“You know when Damon told me about their feud with your family... I never thought they would be so dramatic.” The Original snorted and hugged him, nipping his neck while he pulled her closer and caressed her body, kissing her sensuously. Their make-out session only stopped because a throat cleared, interrupting them once more.
“I swear to god I’m go-”
“Rebekah... When Klaus told me you were back I didn’t believe him. But here you are.” The blonde blinked and rolled her eyes, a smirk twisting her lips.
“Yes, well... Why would you be interested? I thought you were after that psychologist... What is her name again? Oh yes, Camille. Chop chop, go after the blonde woman.” She saw the way he was glaring at Enzo and entered in front of him, getting head-to-head with Marcel. “Go away, Marcel. We have nothing to talk about anymore.”
She felt hands enlacing her waist and her body being pulled back. Resting on her boyfriend's body, she side-eyed him curiously. “So... This is the ex-boyfriend.”
“Technically Stefan it’s my ex-boyfriend. Marcel was before him.”
“Should I get worried, gorgeous?” Rebekah closed her eyes, denying it while she giggled, opening her cerulean eyes to face Marcel, ignoring the way he seemed hurt.
“Not even in a million years...” Turning around in his arms, the blonde girl pouted, biting his lower lip and pulling it slowly, making him hiss. Grinning, she licked his lips, to soothe it gently and cackled when the presence vanished.
“You hurt his feelings, love.”
“Marcel and I weren’t meant to be, Enzo.”
“And we are?”
“Of course, we are. Since I let you drag me here, you’re going to let me choose the destination this time.”
“I think I can live with that, love.” They smiled knowingly at each other before vamp speeding away and stealing a car. The road trip had just started and they had all the time in the world to go anywhere they pleased. The rest, like the saying, says... It’s history.

WAIT DIZZY IM OBSESSED WITH THIS I was genuinely giggling the entire time (Unfortunately their panic delighted me) but oh my god she’s so cunning! And Kol actually going along with it is so him. Elijah and Klaus’ reaction had me 😭😭
I love this so much!!! Thank you for participating!

Wow y’all really out here hurting me tonight
This is beautiful, Holly 😭

What a pair! You wrote them very well!! I love this 💕🥺✨
Let's run around the world
This plan of yours is going to get us killed. I’m in. march2021promptchallenge
Pairing: Rebekah x Enzo
Word Count: 1277
A/N: First time trying this pairing. I’ve seen people talking about it and I think it would be fun
All errors are mine, I'm too lazy to look it up, sorry
Tagging: @hellotvshowtrash @elijahs-wife @elijahswife @umaficwriter @ronniemikaelson @lovelyandproblematic @mikaelson-emma @nikmikaelsonswife and sorry if I forgot people, I'm starting this '-'
