DEATH IN PARADISE SPIN-OFF SERIES BEYOND PARADISE IS COMING TO BBC ONE AND IPLAYER ON FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2023.
CO-COMMISSIONED BY THE BBC AND BRITBOX INTERNATIONAL, BEYOND PARADISE FOLLOWS DI HUMPHREY GOODMAN (KRIS MARSHALL) AND HIS FIANCÉE MARTHA LLOYD (SALLY BRETTON) AFTER THEIR NAIL-BITING WILL-THEY-WON’T-THEY ROMANCE REACHED ITS EMOTIONAL FINALE IN SAINT MARIE IN 2017. VIEWERS WERE DELIGHTED WHEN HUMPHREY TOOK CONTROL OF HIS DESTINY AND FOLLOWED MARTHA BACK TO LONDON TO DECLARE HIS UNDYING LOVE FOR HER.
A new adventure awaits as we find them arriving in Shipton Abbott, Martha’s hometown near the beautiful Devonshire coast, having left London. As they embark on their new life whilst temporarily living with Martha’s mum Anne Lloyd (Barbara Flynn), the couple are quickly thrown in at the deep end as Martha sets out to pursue her dream of running her own restaurant and Humphrey joins the local police force. Quickly making an impression on the somewhat eclectic team; DS Esther Williams (Zahra Ahmadi), PC Kelby Hartford (Dylan Llewellyn) and Margo Martins (Felicity Montagu), Humphrey sets out to help crack a host of baffling cases, with the Shipton Abbott squad witnessing a whole new approach to police work...
Each week the team will face a new crime with a unique puzzle at its heart. The not-so-sleepy town of Shipton Abbott will be rocked by an entire family disappearing without a trace, a woman claiming she was attacked by a suspect from the seventeenth century, the robbery of a highly prized painting, a body bizarrely discovered in a crop circle and a serial arsonist with a seeming distaste for local businesses.
As Humphrey gets stuck into his new job, he and Martha must also navigate life’s ups and downs, as faces from the past, the decisions they make and challenges of setting up life in a new town put their relationship to the ultimate test.
Created by Robert Thorogood and Tony Jordan, Beyond Paradise is a co-commission between the BBC and BritBox International and is produced by Red Planet Pictures, part of the Asacha Media Group.
Founder and Executive Chairman of Red Planet Pictures, Jordan, acts as showrunner, leading a team of writers – Amy Guyler, Ian Kershaw, Chloë Mi Lin Ewart - working across the 6x60 series. Tony Jordan, Tim Key and Belinda Campbell are executive producers for Red Planet Pictures, and Diederick Santer and Tommy Bulfin are executive producers for BritBox International and BBC respectively. The series is produced by Lindsay Hughes, directed by Sandy Johnson and Matt Carter. BBC Studios brokered the co-production deal with Britbox International and handle international distribution.

MJ please tell us about Dodgers fan Kirby. My interest is piqued
Part one is here!
Given her age, her favorite current Dodger is pretty obviously Clayton Kershaw, but her favorite of all time is Russell Martin, and she wears his #55 jersey to games. Typically a big fan of catchers, shortstops, and center fielders over big sluggers
Armchair GM who will look up everyone's peripheral stats. BA and ERA are meaningless to her. Wants Dave Roberts' head on a pike for his playoff management
Gets VERY angry when people (mostly SFG fans) accuse the Dodgers of buying a team when most of their talent was either drafted or acquired via trade
Since leaving California, she has developed an uneasy truce with Yankees fans because they're in different leagues and both get "overrated" accusations leveled at them. Braves and Mets fans, on the other hand? Always at their throats
Has tried and failed to get everyone in the Core Four into baseball. Sam doesn't get it compared to basketball, Tara doesn't get it at all, and Mindy appreciates the dedication but doesn't like sitting through games. Chad is the only one who actually develops an appreciation for the game and she buys him a Mookie Betts jersey to wear when the Dodgers come to Citi Field

Dodgers Hang On To Take Game 1!
Padres 3 Dodgers 5 W-Urias (1-0) L-Clevinger (0-1) SV-Martin (1)
The Los Angeles Dodgers had a historic 111-win season, but all that could be forgotten if they have an early exit in the playoffs. They squared off with the rival Padres tonight in the first game of the Division Series. The Dodgers got off to a good start in the first inning when Trea Turner belted a Mike Clevinger fastball out to left for a solo homer. Will Smith kept things cooking with a double to left and Max Muncy knocked him with a base hit. The Dodgers had a two-run lead after one inning of play. Los Angeles got back to work in the third with a Trea Turner lead-off double to center. With one out, Will Smith doubled him home and the Dodgers extended their lead to three. Max Muncy worked a walk and Gavin Lux doubled to right, which scored a run and knocked Mike Clevinger out of the ballgame. Trayce Thompson kept the rally alive with a walk and Cody Bellinger hit a grounder to first base that handcuffed Wil Myers. Another run scored on the error and the Dodgers had a 5-0 lead after three frames. Wil Myers got the Padres on the board in the fifth when he blasted a Julio Urias curveball out to left for a solo homer. Jake Cronenworth singled and Ha-Seong Kim doubled to follow. Trent Grisham hit an RBI groundout to inch San Diego within three runs. Aaron Nola hit a sac fly to left and the Padres kept getting closer midway through the game. Julio Urias finished off five decent innings and the bullpen did the rest. Evan Phillips pitched a scoreless sixth, Alex Vesia got five big outs, and Brusdar Graterol got out of the eighth. Chris Martin had a clean ninth as the Dodgers took the first game of the series in Los Angeles.
-Final Thoughts- Julio Urias was good until he hit a wall in the fifth. He threw five innings and allowed three runs on four hits with six strikeouts. Evan Phillips had a scoreless sixth, Alex Vesia got five big outs, and Brusdar Graterol got the last out of the eighth. Chris Martin got the save with a scoreless ninth. Trea Turner and Will Smith had two hits each to lead the offense. The Dodgers hit 3-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base. The Dodgers had an interesting way to get through their bullpen tonight and it worked. Yu Darvish will face Clayton Kershaw in Game 2 tomorrow night.

FREECIV JEWISH BIAS TRIAL
We find it remarkable that a newspaper which flatters itself as the voice of progressive liberal opinion in Britain indulges in this bizarrely illiberal practice. It seems that Jews are fair game for crank provoca tions. We doubt the Guardian would publish long articles by right-wing authors denouncing the “African-American slavery industry”, or the “Armenian genocide remembrance business”. But there is a significant difference between critical discussion and a systematic defamatory agenda. AROOSTOOK tumblr, TN porn SABINE Milngavie taya New mail Vermont x. We certainly agree it is appropriate to question the excesses of particular Holocaust groups. Kershaw 69 virgin Corrigan jewish a play buster ties dicks. We are both active supporters of the Israeli peace movement and strongly endorse critical discussion of Israeli policies and Jewish issues. You printed a comment piece by Martin Kettle on Israel’s 52nd anniversary arguing it had been born in original sin through expulsion of Palestinians, and a long review about a celebrated documentary on the massacre of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics in which Edward Said ranted against Zionist bias and provided an entirely distorted view of the film. In the big picture, our classrooms are increasingly caught in the culture wars between the right and the left. You published a report on the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon that referred to the residents of northern Galilee as “settlers”, setting up a mis guided association between these people and the settlers in the occupied territories. The impact of this on the Jewish community varies from place to place, but in far too many cases we have seen Jewish perspectives erased or anti-Jewish content actively promoted in public education. Mission Context menu Jews as a chosen people Cross-compilation Christian.
FREECIV JEWISH BIAS TRIAL
In the past four months you have run articles on the trial of Iranian Jews in Shiraz suggesting that pressure from the west – in response to Jewish lobbies – was responsible for the unfair anti-government reporting of the trial. Antarctic-Environmental Protocol Allomorph American bias Allophone Affix. However, it seems to us the Guardian has consistently given a prominent forum to imbalanced and often bigoted views on Jewish issues. We are not among those who obsessively search for media bias. More disturbing is the Guardian’s decision to promote Finkelstein’s views in such a high profile way. Norman Finkelstein argues in extracts from his forthcoming book (G2, July 12 and 13) that Holocaust remembrance has become an exploitative industry used to justify Israel’s policies and that the campaign by Jewish survivors for compensation for assets lost under Nazi occupation and slave labour is directed by gold diggers.

Jazz Factory Recommends - Hamlet In A Japanese Manner by Martin Kershaw, from the album Hero As Riddle - Music Inspired by the Art of Eduardo Paolozzi. Listen now on the Jazz Factory Recommends playlist on Spotify spoti.fi/2ppq7TG.
I heard this track when I went to visit the Paolozzi exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery in London last year. The exhibition was fantastic, Paolozzi is simply a dream. In the last room they were playing this album by Martin Kershaw and as I walked in this particular track was on and I really loved it. The whole album is a Jazz homage to the art of Paolozzi. The cover of the album features the collage head Hero As Riddle (the same title as the album), which I have miserably attempted to represent in the top right of the drawing. This track though really stood out for me as a brilliant representation of what I love about Paolozzi’s work. Opening with a very recognisable Jazz percussion shuffle, the brass and woodwind come in with a very staccato motif and melody (with Kershaw on sax) before a luxurious series of solos. The track jumps around lots of tones and atmospheres, shifting seamlessly from smooth and velvety into abrupt and funky and back again. One of my favourite things about Paolozzi’s art is the variety. He worked across collage, sculpture, printmaking, drawing and more. It all looks very different but is all made with love and attention to craft. This is reflected marvellously in Hamlet In A Japanese Manner. Enjoy!

Playtime live streamed events are one of the things which has brought me joy during the pandemic. Having been to a couple of their live eventsback in 2017 I watched them start their livestreams during lockdown with interest. Initially all the musicians were playing remotely in their homes. This was interesting and sounded great but I felt a bit like I was spying on them. Since Playtime moved to…

Ranch Night BBQ Chef Prepared for Farm-to-Table Feast
Tumblr media
“Pork Chop.” No, that’s not what will be served at the inaugural Ranch Night BBQ & Concert, but instead, it’s who will be preparing thousands of pounds of meat for this unique farm-to-table experience at Dutton Cattle Friday night in Belmont County. “Pork Chop” is the nickname for Pike 40 chef Bryan Sochor, and he’ll be the man in charge when it comes to the Wagyu Brisket, Burned Ends, and the pulled pork that will be the three proteins available, and folks will have a number of side dishes from which to choose, too. “Everything is going to be delicious because the Wagyu beef right is the top-of-line beef, and I think anything smoked is the best,” said Sochor, who’s been in the food business for nearly two decades. “I started getting into smoking several years ago when I cooked at Salsa Joe’s, and I really don’t like my meats any other way. “Now, feeding everyone at Ranch Night is going to be a challenge for sure, but I believe we have a good feel of the numbers, and that’s the key to everything,” he explained. “Of course, the sheer magnitude of the amount of food this is going to take is insane, but we know the serving sizes and everything so we’ll do our best.” Country music legend Sammy Kershaw will be the 9 p.m. headliner for tomorrow evening’s Ranch Night, and superstar Brian Martin will perform before him beginning at 7:30 p.m. Four local country singers, including Libby Adams, Carl Besce, Ashley Best, and Gage Joseph, will play short sets during the event’s “Acoustic Showcase” that’s scheduled to start at 5 p.m.. Dutton Cattle is located at 42640 Dutton Drive in Flushing, and parking lots will open at 2 p.m, with gates opening at 4 p.m. That’s also when “Pork Chop” and his crew will begin serving, and the music will begin at 5 p.m. “We’re going to have two food areas and folks will have a choice between the Wagyu brisket, and Wagyu burned ends, and the same pulled pork we do at the Pike 40,” explained Chris Dutton, Ranch Night founder. “There will also be a vegetarian option for an entrée, and our sides will be mac n’ cheese, baked beans, and a side of cole slaw. “All the proteins will be served with white bread and pickles,” he said. “And that’s your barbecue meal at Ranch Night, and we’ll also have the Pike 40 Food Truck serving smash burgers and hot dogs, and then later in the evening we’ll have pizza for the fans, too.” The concert setting is near an area of the farm where a lake and shelters are located. The Pike 40, Sochor explained, will have its food truck on site, as well, and the staff will serve smash burgers, beef hot dogs, pizza, and non-alcoholic drinks. “When Chris first mentioned the event, I was super excited and we were talking about smoking the meats and things like that. And then the numbers started rolling in and that’s when I started to get nervous,” he recalled. “But once the event begins, we just have to make sure everything stays hot, and everything is fresh and ready to serve. “We’ll have the barbecue sauce we serve at the Pike 40, and there’s going to be a Carolina Gold sauce, too,” Sochor said. “And then when we’re finished feeding everyone, I hope to sit down, have a beer, and enjoy the show.” Dutton and his sister, Nina, co-founded the Blame My Roots Country Music Festival in 2019 after Live Nation shuttered Jamboree in the Hills after 40 years. The Duttons, however, retired the event following last summer’s concert because of market pricing for headline acts and a lack of local fan support. Kershaw and Martin, though, had been booked for this year’s “Roots” event so Chris Dutton decided to create the Ranch Night BBQ & Concert. “Ranch Night is going to be a very unique event that I doubt takes place anywhere else in the country, and yes, our cows just might be in the area of the show, too,” he said. “The food is going to be incredible, and Brian Martin and Sammy Kershaw are terrific country performers that I believe everyone is going to enjoy. It’s really going to be a special evening. “And we have always loved highlighting our local performers when we were doing Blame My Roots, and Ranch Night will be the same,” he added. “We have a lot of great talent in this area, and it’s going to be a lot of fun to feature four of the best with Libby Adams, Gage Joseph, Ashely Best, and Carl Besece.” Graphics by Brandi Waligura of the Dutton Cattle Company Read the full article
