I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.

I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.

I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

hi, i want to bring your attention to something. yesterday felipe drugovich was announced to be racing in elms lmp2 for vector sport. which would be good and all, if it didn't come at the expense of another driver, gabriel aubry.

here is gabi's statement via his instagram:

it's only a week to pre-season testing! they told him over the phone and won't meet him! not cool at all.

this is the second time this year that someone's lost their seat before getting to drive it: isotta fraschini dropped reigning elms lmp3 champion alejandro garcia in favour of carl bennett, despite having previously announced him. isotta was already struggling with money so it's widely believed they dropped him to get a driver who could bring more funding. luckily for alex he already had an elms lmp2 gig lined up.

this really tight timeline makes me think felipe's team (or aston martin if they were the ones behind this decision) only decided he should do elms pretty recently. and i guess just looked for whichever team was willing to break an existing driver's contract for him.

it really sucks for gabi, who has driven lmp2s in both wec and imsa before, and finished 2nd in class at le mans in 2019. he was only 21 when he did that! he's not too different from felipe, they're both young and talented drivers, but he's been hung out to dry.

The interiority of novels is what makes them so difficult to film. The characters and action of a novel exist only in the mind of the reader encountering them on the page. When we see those characters and that action on the screen, they usually have a very different effect, especially when the novel and the film deal with sex. When The Story of O, a novel written by a woman, was transferred to the screen by a director who's a man, the "male gaze" inevitably informed the movie, particularly because the story is about a woman submitting to sadomasochistic discipline. So the film, whose subject matter and abundant female nudity got it banned in Britain and labeled NC-17 in the States, was also subject to charges that it was antifeminist. There are those who assert that it's actually a feminist fable, since O (Corinne Cléry) is given frequent opportunities to escape from her submissive role and asserts her equality, if not dominance, at the film's end, but they seem to be in a minority. In any case, The Story of O is not a very good movie. It's drenched in soft-core porn clichés and its soft-focus photography gives it a candy-box ambiance. On the page, the novel could be intellectually and erotically provocative. But on the screen it's just tedious and repetitive.

Lille: Two buildings collapse in the city center, no casualties

The buildings had been evacuated as a precaution: “A young man came home at three o’clock in the morning and realized that the wall was warped” said the mayor of Lille, who did not report any deaths.

Two adjoining buildings collapsed on the morning of Saturday November 12th in the center of Lille. According to the mayor of the city, Martine Aubry, there were no victims as the budling has been evacuated during the night as a precaution. The fire brigade is still doing “reconnaissance” to find possible victims. Ambulances were also on site to intervene at any time.

The building in question collapsed around nine o’clock, taking the neighboring building with it. They were in a central shopping street in Lille. Fortunately, the event took place before the shops opened. The young man who was at the scene had alerted the fire brigade and the municipal police as he considered it serious. To avoid any further accidents, the neighboring buildings were evacuated.

Firemen were deployed to sweep up the rubble, accompanied by police officers who secured the perimeter. Residents said they did not hear any explosions, but some thought it was a gas leak. However, work was taking place at the rear of the building. “We thought it was just scaffolding falling down, but when we realized that the whole building was collapsing, we all ran outside”, said a resident who worked in a neighboring building.

“We escaped the worst”, said the city’s mayor. “Without the presence of mind of the resident who alerted the emergency services, we could have witnessed a great disaster”, she said.
