ür das Museum Kurhaus Kleve entwickelte Blockadia* Tiefsee im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Hausputz! Und andere Visionen für das Museum Kurhaus Kleve“ verschiedene ortsspezifische Installationen, die sich um das mit Erde gefüllte Beet, das sogenannte „Earthbed“, drehen. Die Beete beruhen auf einem Prototypen, der im Jahr 2021 für eine Ausstellung in Frankfurt entstanden ist. Im Kurhaus werden die Beete sowohl als funktionale Plattformen im Außenraum aufgebaut und dort mit Pflanzen bestückt, als auch im Innenraum als Plattform für die Präsentation von Kunstwerken eingesetzt. 

Zusätzlich wird das Kollektiv im Spätsommer eine Reihe von Workshops anbieten, die sich u. a. mit dem Kompostieren beschäftigen. Seit 2017 ist eine wachsende Wurmpopulation Teil von Blockadia*Tiefsee. Sie wurde initialisiert durch den Workshop „Meeting at the Wormery“ von Angela Jerardi und Antonia Lotz auf Einladung von Susanne M Winterling in Offenbach am Main. Seitdem leben und vermehren sich die Würmer in Wurmkomposten, die von verschiedenen Gruppen in Workshops angelegt wurden, in Frankfurt am Main, Freiburg, Schwelm und Trondheim. Praktisch baut das Kollektiv Kompostierbehälter für Würmer und theoretisch befasst es sich mit Kompostieren als Möglichkeit, um Ressourcen, Beziehungen und Wertvorstellungen zu überdenken und als mögliche, erneuerbare Methode für die Produktion von Kunst. Zusammen mit Mikroben wandeln Würmer Essbares in Humus um. Es gibt beim Kompostieren keinen Abfall, sondern nur Ressourcen, die in Gemeinschaftsarbeit der zersetzenden Kraft von Archaeen, Bakterien und Pilzen und des Verdauungssystems der zahnlosen Würmer unter Bindung von Kohlendioxid in einen wertvollen Lebensraum für Pflanzen und andere Bodenlebewesen transformiert werden. Das Projekt „Eine Spur der kurzen Unterbrechung“ ist als Ausstellung im alten Gestapo / Abschiebe Gefängnis Klapperfeld geplant, bei der das historische Gefängnis Thema und Kulisse wird. Es soll das Themenfeld von Zwang bis hin zu Hoffnung im Mittelpunkt stehen. Hierbei können Stichwörter wie „Zensur“, „Autonomie“ und „Solidarität“ einen Einblick auf die vielfältige Materie geben. Die Ausstellung soll es ermöglichen ca. 15 Künstler_innen zu der Disziplinargesellschaft und der Entwicklung hin zu einer Kontrollgesellschaft eigene Arbeiten zu entwickeln und zu präsentieren (Installationen / Malerei / Drucke / Zeichnungen / Objekte u.v.m.). Die Ausstellung geht 6 Wochen und wird jeden Samstag parallel zu der Dauerausstellung im Klapperfeld geöffnet sein. Für größere Führungen können zusätzliche Termine vereinbart werden. “Blockadia*Tiefsee sees itself as a temporary collective, constantly changing in shape and size. Like a biopolymer or a collection of cells we knot together in order to bring about changes, to store modifications and energy and to carry them to the outside. With the possibilities of self-organization, of spontaneous disposition and responsibility, frugality, solidarity and empathy we test the form-finding of our discourses in material, substance, object and space. At the center there is the preoccupation with changes in the world due to climate change and capitalism and with that, what surrounds us under the influence of new technologies, economic and ecological forces and transformations.

With our project Soil Strings - Commoning And Compost for Synnika we are creating everyday, temporal and material intersections of the "composting" through various project stations on the roof terrace as well as installations, works and a window-film screening in the ground floor of the NIKA.haus.

Thus we show our discoveries of agreements and dependencies on the often unseen other: from the microcosm of worms to the outside in the urban space. Open discussions and workshops with the residents and guests of the NIKA.haus expand the space for exchange and transport of ideas and knowledge.

Together we explore possibilities to rethink resources, relationships and values, and to explore renewable methods for the development of art methods for the production of art in the sense of commoning.”

“Zwischen den Stühlen der globalen Player, zwischen Handel, Tourismus, Politik steht der Elefant als Population, an deren Entwicklung sich Aussagen über die (In-)Stabilität eines Landes treffen lassen. Die Installation nähert sich dieser Position über teils erzählerische, teils statistisches Bildvokabular zitierende Gravuren. Welches Verhältnis zwischen den Spezies wird touristisch nutzbar gemacht? Wer handelt eigentlich mit Elfenbein? Welche Konsequenzen ergeben sich aus dem Konzept der »flagship species«, das einzelne Arten für Tierschutz-Kampagnen einsetzt, darüber aber die systemische Komplexität zu vergessen droht? Die Installation greift zudem textlich eine ortlose Atmosphäre der Existenzbedrohung auf, die nicht nur das Verhältnis zwischen Mensch und Tier, sondern auch das zwischen Menschen und Menschen prägt. Die Anerkennung von Lebens- und Handlungsräumen zeigt sich, über alle nationalen, religiösen und konfessionellen Grenzen hinweg, erschreckend fragil und ideologisch eingeschränkt.”
