Chapter 3: House Warming

Summary: A prequel to Love's Sacrifices and the upcoming Still Here Breathing. Also a follow up the PWP oneshot, A Halloween Treat.

In the days after Amy Bradshaw made her escape with Lucy Diamond, the two find themselves on the run. Forced to make an emergency landing in the county of Silas, Styria, as it so happens the rumors of Silas are of interest to the D.E.B.S Academy. While Amy's friends are assigned to this mission, they are reluctantly joined by a girl doing what she can to escape the curse taking hold of her life. What they don't know is there are people waiting for them at Silas, including a coven of witches who have yet to pick any sides.

For those following the story, this was a long wait, but in my defense, this was a long write, between this and my other two stories.

Anyways I got no real introduction for this chapter, other than it finally has the D.E.B.S and the Circle, as well as some Brigitte x Sarah x Nancy ship building. I was originally going to write more of Lucy's backstory, as well as Amy's for this chapter, but decided not to due to length issues.

I was also gonna write flashbacks regarding Carmilla's history with the 19th century Fitzgerald sisters, hence why Carmilla/Ginger is in one of the fics tags, but I haven't found a place for it in this chapter.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the read for what I was able to put here.

Every single thing you’ve listed just ticks off all of Flip’s boxes, and he finds that he shares most of the same passions that you do—especially being in nature. Any excuse he can find to get you out in the wild, wonderful expanse of the outdoors, he’ll do so.

He’s a big proponent of supporting friends and family (even if he does rib Ron and Jimmy more often than not). Sweet sweet Benny boy... the most precious boy who needs all the attention and affection you can give him. He thrives on it okay, don't make him beg, because he will crawl on his hands and knees just for an ounce of your attention.

Ben is a regular CUPID OKAY. HE LIVES FOR ROMANCE. HE OOZES SEX, LOVE, DEVOTION, EVEN CUM OKAY. 

He spent so long on his present for you, a beautiful painting made of you. Scandalily clad in deep hues of blue, complete with blue butterflies around your body on the canvas. He absolutely loves it, and has a copy of it for himself, he thought about getting professional photos of himself naked for Valentines' but his brothers gave him a hard no... so. next year.

Along with tickets to fly to the ocean because he knows your favorite color is a deep ocean blue, which whatever. Red is far superior but he will let you live under the guise of blue being good. So he can walk on the beach with you, hand in hand while the waves crash against your feet on the shoreline.

Hi babydoll! Here’s my thanksgiving request: a chaotic thanksgiving get together with our crew. You know there are always shenanigans and tons of laughter. 💕

Hello my dearest friend! Please accept these chaotic headcanons for what it would be like if our big boys got together!

It is an undisputed rule, that the Zimmerman’s host Thanksgiving every year. One time, Kylo suggested hosting it for a change, and Mrs. Zimmerman was so offended at the implication that maybe they didn’t want her cooking, that she cried about it for three days. Flip had had a long weekend of consoling, and everyone learned their lesson lol. 

The Zimmermans host, and everyone comes over promptly at 3PM to enjoy some time together before the big dinner. But the fun doesn’t begin on Thanksgiving day, no no, the fun starts a couple days before, when Clyde and Flip go hunting for the Thanksgiving turkey. 

Flip wants to be a helper in the kitchen but he really just...isn’t, so instead he takes care of the bird with Clyde and gets it all ready for his wife to roast up.

Flip also acts as the taste-tester, coming over to stick his big nose in his wife’s pots and pans to see what’s what. She fondly kicks him out of the kitchen to go help set the table with the other boys. 

Clyde grew up hunting the turkey with his Paw-paw, and he ain’t about to give that tradition up just yet -- how great that his best buddy Flip is a sharp shot and is eager to spend time together out in the cold.

Mrs. Logan always makes a delicious spread of desserts that she and Clyde bring over, lots of Mama Logan’s famous cookies, and at least two kinds of pies. 

Clyde is also the obvious bar-master, and he is in charge of the drinks station. He whips up delicious mocktails for Kylo who is celebrating another year of sobriety, and anyone else who wants a sip. The kids get to try the mocktails too because it makes them feel fancy and grown up.

Flip and Clyde and Kylo together turn into absolute giggle monsters, making one another laugh those big booming dad-laughs so loudly that when it goes silent you’re worries -- only to find out that no, it’s just them wheezing and out of breath with tears streaming down their faces from laughter. 

Kylo and his brothers, Ben and Mattie also arrive right on time to help set up for dinner and spend time together with the family. 

Anywhere Ben tends to go, chaos follows, and this is increasingly evident when the kids get a sight of their “Uncle Ben!!!” and tackle him. They know he’s just a big kid like them, he just happens to be 6′3 -- perfect for climbing. 

Mattie and Kylo are perfect helpers in the kitchen, letting Mrs. Zimmerman boss them around and particularly with lifting the turkey. Ben and Flip keep the kids occupied with Clyde, and laughter rings loudly through the house from every room. 

There’s arguments about how much of this to add, and how much of that to add, and yes they chase Mrs. Zimmerman around and around with the giblets because they know she thinks it gross, lol, but it’s all in good fun. 

By the time dinner is ready, the Zimmerman household smells amazing, the table is set, football is muted on the TV because I swear to god boys if I hear screaming coming from in there I’ll lose my mind! and all the kids are happily occupying themselves with lots of toys and activities over at their special table. 

Yes, someone burns something. 

Yes, something spills. 

Yes, Flip cuts his finger while carving the turkey.

But at the end of the day, when everyone comes together and sits down, toasing their glasses to another year of health, happiness, and lots of love,  one would ever want to change it, because nothing beats being together as a family!

Matt would be home in an hour— you thought as you stepped out of the shower. the dark circles under your eyes were prominent when you looked in the mirror and you just deeply sighed. You dried yourself off and wrapped your hair up, slipping on your underwear.

You walked into Matt’s bedroom to find your shirt completely soaked in Delilah’s vomit— you wrinkle your nose and huff, covering your chest with your arm as you step out of the room to check the spare closet for another one of your shirts that was as comforting as that one. But to no avail.

You went back to the bedroom and rummaged through Matt’s drawers, pulling out a Grateful Dead t-shirt that you knew he acquired from a festival when he was nineteen and you pulled that over your head. The fabric was worn and thin. It felt buttery soft against your skin and smooth to the touch. You always loved when he wore it but you think you might just keep this one for yourself.

Your sweatpants came next, they were black with a red stripe down the side— didn’t match the shirt one bit. But you didn’t mind. You had nowhere to go.

You relaxed on the couch, reading through some of the paperwork due at work the next week when the door opened. You heard Delilah’s meows as you saw the mop top of blonde hair lean down to lift her into his arms, “hey, my girls—” he says softly as he leans back up, seeing you in that shirt. “Sunny.”

“Hm?” You looked up from the files and closed them, grinning brightly as you adjusted your body towards him. “Have a good day?”

“Yeah, sure.” He nods some and places Delilah down in the chair near the door as he walks over, just falling onto the couch and wrapping his arms around your waist, head against your hip. You smelled like he did. The fabric hung loosely off your frame, even exposed that pretty little tattoo that he loved so much. “Stressful.”

He could feel his muscles start to relax when your fingers started playing with his hair. “You look better in my shirt than I do.” He mumbles, eyes closing.

“Why don’t you go get a shower? I’ll order something for dinner.” You start to say but we’re met with a grunt and a tighter grip around your middle. “Okay… or we can stay here.” You smile as you twist his hair around your finger.

“Don’t think I’ve come home to a better sight. Seeing you in that. Kinda made me feel better right then.” He mumbles against your tummy, eyes still closed. He turns his head to press his cheek against the shirt and look up at you. “I think you look absolutely stunning.”

You just rolled your eyes. Matt had dark circles that matched yours and both of your hair was always messy. “I love you, Matty.” You chuckles. “Always make me feel pretty.” You tease and rub your thumb over his cheekbone, dropping your hand to the zipper of his jumpsuit and you drag it down. “Now go change. I’ll take care of dinner.”

Chapter Two is up!

A prequel to Love's Sacrifices and the upcoming Still Here Breathing. Also a follow up the PWP oneshot, A Halloween Treat.

In the days after Amy Bradshaw made her escape with Lucy Diamond, the two find themselves on the run. Forced to make an emergency landing in the county of Silas, Styria, as it so happens the rumors of Silas are of interest to the D.E.B.S Academy. While Amy's friends are assigned to this mission, they are reluctantly joined by a girl doing what she can to escape the curse taking hold of her life. What they don't know is there are people waiting for them at Silas, including a coven of witches who have yet to pick any sides.

Chapter two is here! I'm gonna try to get back to "Love's Sacrifices" now that this is out of the way, with this chapter being longer than I thought.

The first chapter was focused on Brigitte Fitzgerald focused; mainly covering how she got out of Ghost's basement and got caught up in this mess. This chapter ? I'm trying to put a little more focus on Lucy and Amy, especially in regards to Lucy Diamond's backstory. 

We're also covering Sarah, Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle, what they have been up to after being enrolled into Silas; we got Rochelle working as an actress, Bonnie as a model/med student, Sarah as a model/photography student. And Nancy ? You’ll have to read the chapter, I want her line of work to be a surprise.

We're also introducing Carmilla and Mattie, I already have a subplot in mind for them, which I'll be setting up. Personally, I imagine Carmilla being something of a rebellious swinger girl back in the early 2000's, so that's how I write her here.

Motorman William A. Foy of Queens is shown at the controls of the Third Avenue "El" (elevated train), just before beginning the final run from Chatham Square to 149th Street, May 12, 1955.

El service was discontinued south of 149th with this run ending 75 years of elevated rail service in Manhattan. Passengers on the last run, many rail enthusiasts, began dismantling parts of the train as it neared its last stop, cutting off overhead handstraps and removing signs.

Claire.... for Valentines Matt would want to lavish you with attention. He knows that on your birthdays or holidays that your friends and family all shower you with the generic book and a gift card. But you are his precious baby princess, Matt is sure to get you some lovely lavender scented soaps for a nice candlelight bath. Complete with your favorite snack foods and drink for when you’re soaking in the bubbles. He wants to make sure you feel pampered, along with a large bouquet of wild flowers, complete with different hues of purple and pink. 

He would make you both a beautiful dinner, both of you in matching robes (embroidered and in a deep plum hue). Theres no use dressing up-Matt will have you for dessert anyway. 

What recharges him when he’s feeling drained? 

Matt spends all day looking at computers and screens, all he really wants at the end of the day is to snuggle up on the couch with a book. Perhaps a crossword, or even go for a nice walk. Something that will help him distance himself from his stressful workday. 

How do they see themselves 5 years from today?

Five years from now... Matt hopes to be in a stable home, away from the city but not so far out he feels marooned. A few cats crawling around the home and a loving partner by his side. 

Oh and he wants a Tesla.

Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and ever growing spring flowers. He wants to be sure the two of you have a one of a kind trip, since he’s gone so much with work. 

Rick made sure to order you a nice fleece blanket, in light purple, a coloring book with some new pencils in case youre feeling creative, and your favorite book so you both can read side by side. He likes holding your hand while you stare at the page. But you never let him take a picture of it! 

Some sweet mountain flowers for you in the morning, along with a healthy morning hike before the two of you makeout like teenagers on a log.

What recharges him when he’s feeling drained?

Hes constantly on the move, so when he wants to relax and recharge Rick likes to visit a local hotspring. Not only is it invigorating but the photo ops are to die for. 

How do they see themselves 5 years from today?

Have visited every continent! And hopefully every wonder of the world by then, hes close but fingers crossed her gets there soon.
