But I also wanna discuss something since we are on the topic!

So like hear me out but maybe swk wasn't scared of lbd (cause he could literally crush her in a minute and even though he was severely weakened he still fought both her and the not mayor and was WINNING until lbd pulled that cheap trick of possession)

But What if he was rather scared of hurting the host herself?

We all saw that the samadhi fire was the ONLY thing that freed macaque from lbd's ties without killing him and that's why swk wanted it

So basically With the right amount of control he could get lbd out WITHOUT hurting the girl

But when that failed he had no choice but to actually fight.... He saw that while trying to save the little girl he hurt many others in the process including his own student

Even when lbd pointed out that he was getting desperate that he is willing to murder the little girl he says "we both know that's not what you are" but it sounds like he is trying to convince himself more than anything

So YES he was holding back for the sake of the little girl that did nothing to deserve getting beat up by the great sage himself because Wukong doesn't want to hurt anyone at all

It's the fact I had to leave this out on my analysis since it would have seemed... biased? to say the least? I didn't want to focus on the girl much since it was a Wukong analysis and it was already so long — but yes!

Sun Wukong wasn't even remotely scared of LBD when facing her, I even stated that it was more so out of disgust and frustration and then their battle was just full of disappointment and anger towards her actions. I actually said this to my sister tals (@tallytals) a while back: but Sun Wukong was going to put the fire inside himself and basically make a bomb out of it causing the only casualties to be himself and LBD. He was well aware that LBD was possessing someone and he was more knowledgeable of the fire than say Nezha and DBK were (seeing as Nezha was surprised that the fire didn't kill Xiaojiao and even though Wukong seemed surprised at it too he didn't comment or say "wait how is she still alive?" when he arrived at the scene)

Not to mention he definitely saw Macaque's chains be burnt away.

But yes Sun Wukong doesn't want to hurt others and his main goal was to just... defeat her. Not kill her, defeat her. Probably just make sure she could never harm anyone again and without a host.. that'd be difficult, y'know? But, yes.
