WTF House: Back by popular demand whenever I find one. This looks like a pretty nice house, built in 1945 in Mechanicsville, Virginia, it has 3bd 3ba and is going up for auction. Bidding starts at $137,500. Let's see what going on here.

What in the world is that on the floor? Is it black mold? Dirt? Goo? Well, anyway, this is the dining room. Okay, so the floor has to be redone.

The kitchen has very dated cabinetry, but it's not terrible.

Unfortunately, the fridge isn't in the kitchen, it's in the laundry room. Is that a patch on the ceiling above the washer?

The living room isn't bad, but I don't know how long the tree has been up, along with all the other holiday decor.

There's a lot lacking in the extensive Xmas Village display- the sawhorses are visible and so are all the wires. Just a lone piece of "snow" covers the table.

So much stuff. Look at the family room. Speakers hung on the wall, too.

Potty chair in the bedroom.

One of the baths. You can see dirt or mold thru the doors and there's been a leak in the ceiling.

I don't understand this bed. Does someone sleep on a stripped box spring?

Band room in the basement. The fireplace needs a chimney sweep.

Wow, is this a pool?

This was once a beautiful home- look at the entry. It comes with 4.33 acres of land, too.

It's a large house. Almost looks like 2 houses joined together. Lots of work and gutting to do here, though.

How many times have you moved?

like.... in my life, or recently? either way, the answer is a lot bahahahah :') let's count. i was born/raised in madison, new jersey (1... technically we moved numerous times during this period because we couldn't afford stable housing, but i'm just gonna count this as one), but my parents got a divorce when i was a teenager so i had to move in with my mother who lived in mechanicsville, va at the time (2) but moved shortly after to washington dc (3). i lived in dc for a moment but moved back to jersey for college and had a different living arrangement (both on and off campus) all four years (4, 5, 6, 7) and the moved with my ex-fiancee BACK to washington dc (8). we were in dc for all of ??? six months? and then moved to boston (9), and then broke up and i moved to atlanta (10) where i am currently! so about ten times?

Investigation Recovers $45,000 in Back Wages from Mt. Clifton Fruit Company, LLC that Denied Dozens of Agricultural Workers Full Wages, Transportation, and Housing. Washington, DC (STL.News) The U.S. Department of Labor released the following information regarding back wages: Employer name: Mt. Clifton Fruit Company LLC Investigation site: 17581 Mechanicsville Road, Timberville, VA 22853 Investigative Findings: The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division found the employer violated multiple requirements of the H-2A agricultural worker program by failing to do the following: - Compensate 55 workers, 50 of whom came from Mexico, for all hours worked. Comply with the requirements of the agricultural job order. - Pay the hourly adverse effect wage rates of $13.15 in 2021, $14.16 in 2022, and $14.91 in 2023. - Comply with safety and health requirements for housing and transporting H-2A workers. Request a preoccupancy inspection of housing in a timely way. - Comply with other applicable federal, state, and local employment-related laws and regulations. - Back wages recovered: $45,384 Civil money penalties: $8,998 Workers affected: 55, which includes 50 H-2A program workers and five other workers.
