Wer bin ich eigentlich? . Ich bin die, die immer schnurrt, sobald mein Mann mir den Rücken oder Nacken streichelt. Ich bin die, die aussieht wie ein Michelinmännchen, wenn sie aus dem Haus geht: ich trage soviel Schichten um den Körper, dass man mich darin suchen muss. Ja, auch im Frühling müssen zwei Jacken sein. Und eine Schneehose. . Ich bin Kleinstautorin. Das heißt, ich schreibe gerade mein erstes Buch für einen Verlag der #Bonnier-Gruppe. Im Herzen war ich schon immer Schriftsteller, nur mein kritisches Selbst weiß genau, dass ich noch längst nicht "so weit" bin... soll heißen: Nach dem Buch ist vor dem Buch. Ich möchte endlich "wirklich" schreiben lernen. . Was macht mich aus? Was will ich? Gerade letzteres bereitet mir seit Jahren Kopfzerbrechen. Wenn man so gemeinhin sagt: Was kannst du denn gut? Geh deiner Leidenschaft nach! ... dann müsste ich professioneller Wiesenbummler und Sofaflezer werden! Ich liege gerne in der Gegend rum und tue nix. Sicherlich war ich mal ne Katze. Ach was, ich bin es immernoch. Ich sage auch "Miau",wenn ich Hunger habe. Oder "miiaaauuuu" wenn mir was weh tut. Und das ist ja leider häufig der Fall. . Im Grunde bin ich ein lustiger Mensch. Aber sobald ich zur Feder greife (ähm, in die Tasten kloppe) kommt nur Melancholie und Gedankensalat aus mir heraus. Ja, ich denke zuviel. Ich bewundere Frauen, die "in ihrer Mitte" stehn und im steten Kontakt mit ihrem #Bauchgefühl sind. Mir fehlt da manchmal ein Übersetzer: "Dein derzeitiges Bauchweh heißt..." oder ein weiser Wegweiser auf meiner Schulter: Ab nach links! Rein ins Getümmel! . Tja, wer bin ich nu... & was will ich? Ich will mehr: Abenteuer. mehr Leichtigkeit. Weniger Leiden. Und ein bissel mehr "mich". Denn immer wenn ich auf den Kalender schaue, merke ich, wie das Leben schon wieder weiter geflossen ist... & sich an meinen Miseren doch nix geändert hat. Ich scheine abzuwarten. 3 things about me for 1 one thing about you (sounds fair right?) I have realized that I have not done this in a long time! So to all of my new followers, HI! I am Esrida, entrepreneur and mother to two beautiful little girls. I was born and bred in Pretoria, in sunny South Africa. I run on coffee and by choice only wear makeup when I have to look socially acceptable. The rest of the time you will find me in my active wear. I believe that if you don’t dream big, you might as well leave it. With the help and support of my awesome community and friends I am slowly building an empire. But always based on our own terms of success. For me, that is plenty of quality time with my family and friends and lots of laughs with my kids. 3 things you might not know about me: 1. I love love love coffee. I consider it a food group and can go for days on it alone. I dislike milk so I have it either black or with a splash of cream. Oh and it needs to be good coffee! 2. My kids are my world. Although they drive me up the walls most of the time there is not one thing in this whole world that I would not do, or give up, for them. They are my biggest present, blessing and challenge. 3. I like to tell myself that I do not like people, but secretly I know this is not true – I get my energy from people, and also believe that I give them energy. How can you save our planet by changing your clothing habits 1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your Blog? I am a promoter of sustainable and ethical clothing and lifestyle in general, I share my thoughts and vision in my blog 2. Describe what inspired you to start your blog? Realization of the fact that our western world everyday habits are extremely harmful for our planet and fellow humans. 3. How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running? The fact above 4. How active are you on a weekly basis? How often do you communicate with your followers? I communicate daily in fb and I want to be much more active on my website, but I believe in quality over quantity in general. 5. What do you think is the best social media strategy for getting more visitors to a blog? Engaging and being real 6. Would you encourage other people to make their blog? Sure 7. A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog? Not at the moment 8. Being active I used to think that I didn’t have any hobbies. And then it dawned on me – I had exercising! Since realizing this, and making the mind shift, it has become even easier to be active on a daily basis. Now it is no longer a chore, something that I need to tick off my to-do list. It is something that I love doing, that makes me feel really good about myself, and I am proud knowing that the example I am setting for my kids is one of a strong, determined and active women.
