Now, nearly a DECADE later, my wish has at long last been granted by our benevolent Disney overlords.

It's technically an elaborate soda receptacle, but if you remove the straw and lanyard you get a fully articulated, heavy duty prop replica! 100% worth the wait (and scalper price I paid for it).

I cannot believe disney never released ONE SINGLE toy or replica of the megabot from Big Hero 6. It’s literally action figure sized and like the only thing from a recent disney movie I’d actually want merch of. Why live.

Thinking about High Tide being assigned to Griffin Rock instead of Team Prime

He's a powerhouse, his megabot towers over everything like a full on combiner, Team Prime could have used him.

But Optimus saw these civilian bots with no war experience and decided to give them High Tide instead. Because what if the cons do find them? They can't fight (though Heatwave certainly wants to).

So he gives up High Tide to protect them. Just in case.

You're right, and also High Tide has a greater advantage in an ocean + island setting than a landlocked desert

And part of me wonders about if the decepticons had found Griffin Rock and the rescue bots
