At long last! Finally we got our next chapter of Thin Therapy published!!!
This chapter features CoH Thin Dad being proud parent, TTT Mono being super confused, and a character exclusive to Pale Case regretting life choices. All is well, as CoH Mono is there to make sure everyone is taken care of.
Please take the time to explore the links in the Authors Note and check out some of the stories written by our authors and comment.
For the past year I have been doing these cross stitch patterns on and off. I really like the design and wanted a cute way to display them, so I got some cheap frames and chain and attached them together. I've just completed one more design, and about to start enough. I haven't decided if I want them all in a chain together or to split them up, but that would mean finding another design to make is an even 6.
These are all designs by Peter Underhill, sold under the Heritage Crafts brand. There are more designs like these, all sold separately for about £10-£15.
some of yall really out here missing the entire point of misfits and magic
you can't make a problem go away just by pretending it doesn't exist. you have to call it out.
misfits and magic calls out that book series in every way possible, from the general discrimination to the lack of diversity to the specific idea that kids are evil from age 11.
should that book series get more publicity? no. but if the bullshit that author does is ignored, it will only fester and become a bigger problem. call out the issue without giving the issue any money. call out the issue in an effective manner. and in this case, call out the issue in a fun way that supports actual queer people.
we have had aabria autumn on d20 since 2020, when she stole the show as myrtle in pirates of leviathan. you could feel her inhabiting that mermaid over a zoom screen. felt like i was watching a mermaid roll around in a life-size martini glass full of vodka with my own eyes.
then she changed the game with mismag in 2021, bringing kids on brooms, personalized props, lighting effects, and projections to the dome, after which she held it down as antiope jones. the reluctant leader, the late bloomer who is not late but merely arriving in her own time.
in 2022 she came back with kisses, with regency, with good society, with flowers and tokens and projections and a willingness to follow up on consequences that never stopped moving. wuvvy my beloved. kill me with the devotion of a life lived in service to the one you love why don’t you.
in 2023 she was the spiciest assassin. fit for the genre in fits for the genre. replacing skalds like she was born to do it. and then burrow’s end. a genre exploration with a splash of the violence of dnd and the tragicomedy of family. beautiful sets, incredible audiovisual effects, and horror both visceral and cosmic.
in 2024? she’s back with wizards baby. she’s taking a 4 episode jaunt of americans becoming wizards in britain and making an adventure of eleven episodes. planets move, the dm screen talks, and the wind is on the rise.
aabria adds such a fun, artistic, genre-bending, cinematic flavor to her time in the dome; it’s no wonder that the Q4 mid-length season is hers.
As an autistic guy I appreciate Jammer (and by extension all of Evan's friends). I appreciate that he can look at the weirdest guy he's ever met who's never had a friend in his life and be like "Don't even worry about it, that's my guy Evan. He's just chilling" while Evan is staring unblinking at a wall. I love to imagine a world where even the Dark Lord can have people who are like "That's my Bro. He gets possessed by demons sometimes and accidentally summons blood and/or shadow monsters. But it's chill, we fight 'em and then they go away *shrugs*."
edit: i believe it is a mix of nsbu and kids on brooms mechanics!! i was just excited for the inclusion of nsbu dice mechanics, sorry for the confusion!
Every time I rewatch A Court of Fey and Flowers (or let's be real, any campaign Aabria Iyengar is in or runs), I had more and more wanted to paint her. So I did. Truly one of my favorite and most inspirational DMs, and a fashion icon to boot.
There are some people out here who I genuinely don’t think will be able to handle 11 straight weeks of Evan Kelmp. Look what four episodes and a Christmas episode did to some of you. You’re ending 2024 on the news.
this scene is what solidifies jammer to me as one of my all-time favorite dimension 20 characters. evan having just had a very public meltdown in a way that could've gone very very badly for him if jammer hadn't stepped in to help. evan is such a raw portrayal of trauma and neurodivergence, and jammer is an incredible example of how to help when a friend is struggling. more than that, it's how lou described how jammer saw evan in that moment. evan's magical issues reads very easily as a metaphor for psychosis, and he lashes out and acts "scary". but jammer doesn't see him as scary, he sees him as someone who is in distress and acts accordingly.
