Elections come and go. Elections are won and lost. Regardless of results our work remains the same.
He has told you, O mortal, what is good, and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God. - Micah 6:8

God gives the Israelites innumerable commands to follow. So much so that there is an entire book dedicated to them (Leviticus). However, at the core of all these rituals, rules, and instructions are the commands to love God, and love people.
Jesus himself states that these two are the greatest commandments (Matthew 22:37-40). The entire Biblical story constantly showcases that God delights in mercy and humility, and this is what he ultimately desires from us.
Micah 6:8, “He had told you, O man, what is good; what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
What God really desires from us is to love kindness, be humble before his might, and to walk with him. If we fail to do these things, then our acts of worship will ring hallow.
Jesus called out the Pharisees for this very reason. He called them white washed tombs; beautiful on the outside, but putrid on the inside (Matthew 23:27). They gave the appearance of following the Lord, but were only concerned with their own glory.
We are warned to not make the same mistake. Jesus calls us to live holy, love justice, and walk humbly with our God.
God bless, Jesus loves you ✝️❤️

When Being Right Isn’t Enough
Life Lessons Learned There’s a certain kind of satisfaction in being right. Whether in arguments, theology, politics, or faith practice, the validation of correctness can feel like a moral high ground. But Isaiah 1 offers us a sobering reminder: being right doesn’t necessarily mean being righteous. That’s the heart of the prophet’s rebuke, and it’s a lesson we often need to revisit in our own…
