-----
A elegant concert took place in the „Spartan“ KSET, by a band famous for the number of people in it, as much as for their music. Those who follow our work might remember them – they're Mimika Orchestra. The venue was filled to the brim with people and one could smell the anticipation. The conductor started to wave his wand, and the sound of music followed soon after. In that very moment, every face in the audience had a huge smile. The band counts more than 15 people and that alone ensures that no song will be the same, which was specially noticeable when the orchestral parts mixed with the electronic ones. During the whole performance, one could notice that the music was heavily inspired by Slavic culture, but to not be too repetitive the band included a few songs with a bit of a SciFi feel. At the end, a concert is judged by how the audience felt after it, and without a doubt you could say the band did a fine job by the applause they got at the end, and that everyone got what they wanted, a night filled with jazz that won't be forgotten by anyone. If you wish to know how it looked that night, just take a look at our photos down below

VIDEO: DIVINITIES OF THE EARTH AND THE WATERS Unuk Ede Murtića snimio konceptualni album o čovječanstvu i psihodeličnom putovanju u samoga sebe
Mimika Orchestra promociju albuma “Divinities of the Earth and the Waters” održat će u petak, 25. svibnja, u zagrebačkom Muzeju Suvremene Umjetnosti.
“Divinities of the Earth and the Waters” konceptualni je…

Mimika Orchestra - Divinities of the Earth and the Waters
Mimika Orchestra's new album is a musical and narrative journey set in the preindustrial Balkans, taking inspiration from folk stories, folk music, old South Slavic beliefs and historical events as well as contemporary jazz, progressive and electronic music. It is a dedication to the cultural vibrations and richness that take place all over the world and to our dear drummer Oberon King who left this earth in 2015.
