"Echoes of the Desert: Le Cochon Desséché and Le Bateau Ivre"

In the heart of the desert, where the sun's rays dance, Stands "Le Cochon Desséché" in a mesmerizing trance. A parched pig of stone, under the relentless glare, Its form shaped by the heat, with a stoic air.

Contrasting "Le Bateau Ivre," the drunken boat, This sculpture speaks of aridity, a parched throat. A commentary on imagination's sway, In the unforgiving desert, where dreams decay.

Yet, amidst the shimmering heat and shifting sand, There lies a deeper truth, waiting to be scanned. For in this barren landscape, where life seems bleak, Resides a beauty, elusive yet unique.

The parched pig and the drunken boat, they say, Are symbols of a journey, come what may. They remind us of the fragility of our plight, In the vast expanse of the desert's light.

So let us ponder, as we gaze upon these forms, The essence of existence, amidst life's storms. For in the desert's embrace, where dreams take flight, We find the courage to navigate the night.

Swedish melodic death metal titans Arch Enemy come back to Hong Kong for the second time with the fresh lineup! . //... No matter if you think Alissa White-Gluz is the right fit for the vocalist position at AE, the last 4-5 years have proven the blue-hair girl is undeniably a powerhouse in live and is becoming the new image for the band. Musically, the whole band is also exploring the mix of elements from different genres and compositional layering. It’s a pure pleasure to witness the band putting their new tones in live shows which elevate the music to a visual level... As expected, the setlist is full of their new singles such as “The World Is Yours” and the recent hit “The Eagle Flies Alone,” punctuated with anthems from the last album like “War Eternal” and “You Will Know My Name” which immediately set the crowd on fire. A Curious Thing Happened on the Ark Today...

I must admit, there are times when I regard my fellow Autobots with a deep feeling of disconnect.  Today was one of those times.  It was a calm day, with lovely weather, and a great many of the crew were outside to take advantage of the bright sunlight.  As I watched them, it occurred to me how casual they all were with each other. Bumblebee punched Jazz on the shoulder, and Optimus had an arm around Bluestreak’s shoulders as he explained the finer points of basketball.  Ironhide had managed to drag Ratchet out of the medbay, and the two of them were leaning against one of the rock outcroppings as they talked. The twins were off to one side; Sideswipe had a cloth in his hand, gently polishing his brother’s plating.  Everywhere I looked, there were Autobots laughing, smiling, casually touching and being touched in return. The Decepticons, I thought to myself, would never trust each other enough to interact like this.

But, then, I realized something... In the Towers, this sort of behavior would never had been tolerated. We did not freely touch or invite others to touch us. There was no camaraderie or friendships there. Relationships were matters of mutual benefit or of the strong taking advantage of the weak.  And yet... we looked down on the Decepticons as brutal savages, even as we played the same hateful games, with only the trappings of sophistication to separate us  It was a moment of epiphany that left me shaken to my very spark. 

I think I need some time to myself now...

The Meaning of Noblesse Oblige

Dictionary.com defines the term noblesse oblige as the moral obligation of those of high birth, powerful social position, etc.,to act with honor, kindliness, generosity, etc.

Such a concept was completely unheard of among the Tower nobles of Cybertron. In fact, we never thought to consider our behavior to those who were beneath us in rank, wealth, or power. The lower were there to serve the higher; that was simply the way of things. Perhaps if such a concept had existed on Cybertron, if we had treated those below us in social status as actual people, events may have played out differently.
