I made the mistake of looking into beauty pageants. Who was going to tell me there was a Miss Earth? I was only aware of Miss USA (I assume there is one for each country) and Miss Universe. The big ones are Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss Universe, and Miss International. Don't look at the Wiki unless you want a headache.
