AITA for wanting a interpersonal conflict in my friend group to be handled privately?

I want to preface this by saying that I'm fully aware that my actions sparked said conflict. I feel horrible for what I did but I wanted things to be talked about in such a way that wouldn't end in a blowout fight. There's a lot of context, so I'll try to be succinct.

So, one of my friends (19M, we'll call him Cal) and I (20M) are exes and things ended on good terms. We got together at the wrong time and place and we both agreed on this. We haven't been dating for a year now. After we broke up he ended up in a long-distance relationship with another friend (19F, she'll be called Alice).

Since Cal and I are still pretty close, we go to each other to vent about things. A little while into his relationship with Alice, he started confiding in me about how he wasn't super happy in his relationship with her. After another month or so he stayed at my house while his family went out of town. Things were fine at the start but long story short we ended up hooking up.

I felt terrible afterwards and it was really weighing me down for weeks before I decided to vent to someone else in our group (22F, she'll be Tess). I figured that since she knew Cal before me and was mostly uninvolved with a lot of the group, she could give me advice and help me figure out how to handle things from there.

Tess ended up pressuring me into telling Alice about what happened within an hour or she'd do it herself. I still wanted to talk to Cal about it first before I did anything because I thought he should know about what I was doing. Tess didn't like this answer from me and she immediately went to the rest of the group to tell them.

She went to the moderator chat in the public Discord server I made since all of the group were mods and started spilling everything I said. It all spiraled after that and eventually it got to the point where Tess was sending messages about how terrible Cal and I were in the general chat of the server. At that point I tried to crack down on it and took away her ability to send messages in that chat (she had the permissions to talk in the moderator chat) because I wanted all of it to be kept out of the public server. No one other than the moderator team were involved in this issue and I didn't want things to boil over anymore than it had.

The rest of the group started to pile onto me and they started talking about it in the general chat as well, so eventually I just ended up deleting the server in a panic because it was starting to send me into an anxiety attack.

I haven't talked to anyone in that group since except for Cal and the one or two others that thought that the rest of them had fucked up by handling it the way they did. It's been a month or so now since then. Now, the people that I'm still talking to have noticed that the ones who split have been taking pictures of us without permission in any classes we share together, and it's making all of us really uncomfortable.

I'm still really stressed about this because I know that what Cal and I did was fucked up and we shouldn't have done it but I feel wronged by the way those friends reacted to it. So, AITA?

Whats the penis story

For this story you'll need to keep in mind that my username is Time Traveling Fetus and my friends call me Fetus. That throws people for a loop sometimes. (Sometimes strangers on the internet call me Time and that disappoints me greatly. It feels weird)

My discord friends had like an 8 person game of Among Us going one night. We were using the proximity voice chat mod, so we could hear each other between meetings. I had a habit of just saying "penis" to people as i was passing by. This is actually something I do outside of the game, especially when I don't have the energy to say anything meaningful but stull want to acknowledge someone. Cal in particular liked to "penis" back at me, and this proved useful when we were both imposters.

We were setting up for a double kill, but to do that you need to confirm the other person's readiness. While we had voice chat, we couldn't just ask. Our victims were in the room with us. So with the inflection of a normal conversation i said to cal:

"Hey cal?"

"Yeah fetus?"

"Penis penis penis?"

"Oh penis-penis penis. Penis penis."

"Ok penis, penis....penis!"

At which point we killed both our victims simultaneously without alerting them to our shenanigans prematurely.

I tried this again later in the night, but evidently my partner, who was no longer cal, was not on the same wavelength and did not understand. Plus, cal heard me give the penis signal and accused me in the next meeting, which I successfully brushed off. "Penis being related to murder? Cal that's ridiculous who would think that. Obviously he just likes saying penis a lot."

He was right of course.

We switched maps to Polus and eventually the imposter role came back around to me. Things were going smoothly. I was killing someone in the meeting room, only to see that Erin passed by the window just in time to witness the murder. She tried to run inside to report the body or press the button, only for me to meet her at the entrance. I began chasing her, and she turned around in a panic. In a rush of desperation, she began to shout "IT'S FETUS! IT'S FETUS! IT'S FETUS" as she ran down the middle of the map. By this time, my kill cooldown was only half over, and at this rate I would be exposed. I needed to buy some time. Thinking quickly, I began to shout even louder than Erin, "PENIS! PENIS! PENIS!"

This continued for 10 desperate seconds until I killed her, finally silencing the screams. Unfortunately for her we had not run directly into another player, and her body was found several minutes later, long after I had fled the scene. Several people reported hearing her shout about penises before she died. I knew nothing of the incident.

It's my most glorious victory. It was a clever move that only would have worked for me, in that moment, on that night, with that group of people, in that situation. If I had chosen any username that sounded less like penis it wouldn't have worked.

Conclusion: penises are tools of murder

It’s so crazy that it’s been a year since this silly blog of mine came to be. I started this blog fully prepared to shitpost for maybe a couple months and then drop it because usually when I start shit like this it never goes anywhere. It was just me and the Lucas Kaiser blog and maybe the nurse Lynn blog back then. Then, suddenly I was getting asks even from gb-patch (I actually screamed when I got the first ask lol) and then there were other blogs! And we were interacting! AAA! It was so cool! I had so much fun this year and it went by so quick. So I just wanted to take some time to say thank you since all I really do is post memes and stray away from canon lmao.

Im thinking of just Rebranding completely,Im not all that into homestuck anymore and very much want to become a DSMP centered kin blog,Id still do homestuck,as i want to stay multifandom(and Cal is still a main kin) but it wouldnt be my main focus.

when clio got back from dropping urania off at the library—poor girl still couldn’t drive, despite being all of eighteen years old—she decided to stop by the dust bowl. mostly because she was bored, but partly because she wanted to see hermes. they had become close during cal’s pregnancy, and now she couldn’t imagine a day without chatting with him at the bar.

“hermes?” she called as she stepped through the doors. to her surprise, only one person could be seen behind the bar.

orpheus sat by the register, doodling on a a little sketch pad with a red colored pencil.

“hiya, orpheus.” clio smiled and sat at the bar. “whatcha doing?”

orpheus looked up, his eyes sparkling. “aunt clio!” he gasped, quickly discarding his pencil. “i have a question for you.”

clio chuckled. “for me?”
