'most of' implies to me that At Least One of their siblings was activated at this point, but if their only siblings were void and clover that wouldn't be Most Of them still asleep, that'd be Half Of. or it’d make more sense to say ‘one of’ my siblings is still asleep

also if it was one of the two we know of, who do we think was the sibling who was awake? I would think clover since it theyre the same model and they’ve been likened as twins, it’d make sense to me with fp being friend_program01 then clover would be friend_program02, but being robots, being made/activated in relation to one another doesn’t have much bearing on their ‘age’ im pretty sure. like clover could’ve been activated years later but would still be fp’s twin based on being technologically related and the same model. (also it’d be a little funny to me that the one who’s awake is Clover but the one who’s asleep is the one who’s Lucky. heehee)

it’s entirely likely void hadn’t even been built yet and clover was asleep and the sibling(s) who was awake was neither of them. another Earlier-in-the-game-than-this⬆️-one game over report says they made a new model so it wouldn’t make the same mistakes fp did, probably being the first of the newer models like void is but not about void specifically

I don’t really have a point to all of this. I just think it’s interesting that fp seems to know all of this and just kept it to themself. I’m pretty sure since they're stated to be loveless they’re implied to be afamilial and thats why, but still.

also I find it funny void and clover never put together that since they’re both siblings with fp they’d be siblings with each other. it just never comes up HDHSJSNDJ

I had a lot of the same issues with reload as I see you’re having, and I do think most of it is from the new team’s inexperience. They’re trying to recreate a game that made very purposeful decisions in its mechanics and cutscenes without understanding why those decisions were made, which really undermines the experience.

If the team had more experience under their belt, or had full creative decision on an entirely new game, I feel like they could make a really good game! Reload is not that though.

I completely agree anon. It's a shame too, because it's not an awful game, just a different one. I wish they hadn't tried to recreate FES as a test project on a shoestring budget when it was literally the benchmark for our modern Persona games. It changed so much, it's iconic, a cult classic.

I really wish they wouldn't have lied about not planning EpiAi beforehand so they could cover the fact that the game doesn't look all too good. I wish they hadn't charged $200 for an "Aigis Edition" and not include the dlc. I wish they hadn't sanitized and scrubbed the game about death and grieving of all things that were slightly upsetting. That's what ended up happening though, and as you said, they're trying to recreate a game that was very purposeful in its creation.

Reload was a cheap quick test that they knew would work because it has a wonderful story and dedicated fans. As long as they make it a fun popcorn game, they don't have to put in those purposeful additions or think about it much at all.

I've never used Quizlet before! I'll have to check out how it teaches to see if I like the style any better than Duolingo

The main reason I'm using Duolingo specifically is just because of its streak feature- I want to track whether or not I'm able to keep up with lessons over a long period of time with no real outside influences (no teachers to tell me what to do, no school schedule that forces me to go to classes at the same time every day) so that I can see if going back to school could be an option for me. Don't want to pay for classes if I'm not entirely sure I'm going to be taking them, lol

Hotfix for if the crib is not working DL HERE For some weird reason the crib throws routing errors randomly, so I made a copy that runs tuning as "custom" even if it's unedited. This is a band aid fix until I can figure out why it's doing this. Keep in mind that you can only have one version of the crib in at the same time!

The Ocean Sciences Building at the University of Washington in Seattle is a brightly modern, four-story structure, with large glass windows reflecting the bay across the street.

On the afternoon of July 7, 2016, it was being slowly locked down.

Red lights began flashing at the entrances as students and faculty filed out under overcast skies. Eventually, just a handful of people remained inside, preparing to unleash one of the most destructive forces in the natural world: the crushing weight of about 2½ miles of ocean water.

In the building’s high-pressure testing facility, a black, pill-shaped capsule hung from a hoist on the ceiling. About 3 feet long, it was a scale model of a submersible called Cyclops 2, developed by a local startup called OceanGate. The company’s CEO, Stockton Rush, had cofounded the company in 2009 as a sort of submarine charter service, anticipating a growing need for commercial and research trips to the ocean floor. At first, Rush acquired older, steel-hulled subs for expeditions, but in 2013 OceanGate had begun designing what the company called “a revolutionary new manned submersible.” Among the sub’s innovations were its lightweight hull, which was built from carbon fiber and could accommodate more passengers than the spherical cabins traditionally used in deep-sea diving. By 2016, Rush’s dream was to take paying customers down to the most famous shipwreck of them all: the Titanic, 3,800 meters below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean.

Engineers carefully lowered the Cyclops 2 model into the testing tank nose-first, like a bomb being loaded into a silo, and then screwed on the tank’s 3,600-pound lid. Then they began pumping in water, increasing the pressure to mimic a submersible’s dive. If you’re hanging out at sea level, the weight of the atmosphere above you exerts 14.7 pounds per square inch (psi). The deeper you go, the stronger that pressure; at the Titanic’s depth, the pressure is about 6,500 psi. Soon, the pressure gauge on UW’s test tank read 1,000 psi, and it kept ticking up—2,000 psi, 5,000 psi. At about the 73-minute mark, as the pressure in the tank reached 6,500 psi, there was a sudden roar and the tank shuddered violently.

“I felt it in my body,” an OceanGate employee wrote in an email later that night. “The building rocked, and my ears rang for a long time.”

“Scared the shit out of everyone,” he added.

The model had imploded thousands of meters short of the safety margin OceanGate had designed for.

In the high-stakes, high-cost world of crewed submersibles, most engineering teams would have gone back to the drawing board, or at least ordered more models to test. Rush’s company didn’t do either of those things. Instead, within months, OceanGate began building a full-scale Cyclops 2 based on the imploded model. This submersible design, later renamed Titan, eventually made it down to the Titanic in 2021. It even returned to the site for expeditions the next two years. But nearly one year ago, on June 18, 2023, Titan dove to the infamous wreck and imploded, instantly killing all five people onboard, including Rush himself.

The disaster captivated and horrified the world. Deep-sea experts criticized OceanGate’s choices, from Titan’s carbon-fiber construction to Rush’s public disdain for industry regulations, which he believed stifled innovation. Organizations that had worked with OceanGate, including the University of Washington as well as the Boeing Company, released statements denying that they contributed to Titan.

A trove of tens of thousands of internal OceanGate emails, documents, and photographs provided exclusively to WIRED by anonymous sources sheds new light on Titan’s development, from its initial design and manufacture through its first deep-sea operations. The documents, validated by interviews with two third-party suppliers and several former OceanGate employees with intimate knowledge of Titan, reveal never-before-reported details about the design and testing of the submersible. They show that Boeing and the University of Washington were both involved in the early stages of OceanGate’s carbon-fiber sub project, although their work did not make it into the final Titan design. The trove also reveals a company culture in which employees who questioned their bosses’ high-speed approach and decisions were dismissed as overly cautious or even fired. (The former employees who spoke to WIRED have asked not to be named for fear of being sued by the families of those who died aboard the vessel.) Most of all, the documents show how Rush, blinkered by his own ambition to be the Elon Musk of the deep seas, repeatedly overstated OceanGate’s progress and, on at least one occasion, outright lied about significant problems with Titan’s hull, which has not been previously reported.

A representative for OceanGate, which ceased all operations last summer, declined to comment on WIRED’s findings.

He got some thick fur and so he won't freeze in winter ~

I tried to make the fur on his face as detailed as possible so that the close-up renders would look good, and so I enjoy the result! I work with particle system (post about how I make fur), so this required some more detailed customization. I also used UDIM UV-map for the first time, which allowed me to give more resolution to facial details, as the face now uses its own textures.

The character is random, I just wanted to make the one without complex features and hairstyle, but the whole northern shape and body type was based on my character Vewis c:

I've been told that there are rumors about me using AI for my paintings. Please use some common sense, I've been posting on DeviantART since 2003 and sharing full video recordings on Patreon since 2018. If I'm a fake, wouldn't my Patrons have noticed by now? Since AI has been turning artists against each other, accusing each other of using AI, I have no choice but to share of some the Patreon rewards as proof. When AI was at it's infancy, I was very excited to have a new tool to help me make comics. Long time followers will know I struggled with repetitive strain injury that forced my comic making to a crawl. A decade before AI, I was experimenting with 3D backgrounds for comics.

I still remember the hate I got for using 3D models in my comic backgrounds, even though today nobody blinks at other artists doing the same. 3D is now accepted as a tool to help artists create. I even remember hate for being digital instead of traditional.

I tested out painting over AI generated backgrounds a few times in the very early stages of AI. There are a lot of screenshots taken out of context from my Discord where I share how I paint everything with complete transparency.

The only other time I've used AI in my art is for a gag scene in my comic, the full context is my character, Vance, who is a weeb and tech nerd, was objectifying women by seeing them as anime cat girls pasted over AI flower backgrounds.

If I had downloaded a flower stamp brush from ClipStudio and made a similar flower background, nobody would care. But somehow this is not okay even though it fits the theme and joke of the comic?

It's 2AM where I am now so I won't say much else other than I wish people would stop taking my posts out of context. With everything going on in the world, artists should support each other, not make up reasons to hurt each other.

they are the words that you repeat again and again when you grumble the pre-chosen path lying ahead of you.

as the eldest daughter living in one of the three main forest clans it is only natural that you do what is told. your younger siblings can get away with some things, but you, you are expected to bring glory to the family name by fulfilling your duties.

of course you all have been taught how to hunt and keep to the village, how to thread and weave and string and heal, but the main thing your future holds is to marry someone as esteemed, if not more, than yourself, have lots of children and nourish the rest of the clan.

unfortunately for you however, you’ve never been too fond of tradition.

it’s not that you’ve challenged it before, you’ve found no need to. the duties of marriage and birth are ones you’ve stowed away, hoping that if you forget about them long enough they’d never happen. you like throng with the other girls and bows, like helping with the healers. it’s fun, it’s good.

but when the talks suddenly appear after your twentieth name day, talks of marrying you to a man you’ve seen in passing, you feel your fingers itch to resist.

but you’ve always been somebody who listens, somebody who’s parents and others use as a role model. you do exactly what is told with no bite. well, now you want to bite back just a little bit.

fortunately for you, gojo satoru, the golden boy of the people, seems to be harboring similar opinions.

he’s fast and strong, the best hunter the village has had in centuries. his father is their leader, his mother commanding sternly by his side. gojo likes the attention, at least somewhat. he likes the way eyes roam over him wherever he walks, likes the muted whispers and muffled giggles.

but he too is burdened with the weight of tradition, knowing that he too will soon have to find someone to marry in order to take the position of his father.

you know of gojo, of course, but your paths never crossed. destiny is something that your elders hold dear, so you never tested the waters by venturing off to meet him. but as the days tick by you realize that this golden child, this esteemed hunter and seasoned fighter might just be the only ticket you have out.

so you devise a plan. not a wise one, but a plan nonetheless.

which is why, weeks after finding out the snot adjacent creature you’re meant to marry, you find yourself outside gojo’s dwelling, having studied him for a while to know where he slept.

and why would the mightiest warrior ever expect some random village girl to creep up on him? surely not gojo, because he awoke with a startle to find a weight settled on top of him, one hand over his mouth as you pressed your fingers to your lips to quiet him down.

he easily throws you off over him, hand reaching out for the dagger he keeps unsheathed near his bedside as he positions it at the base of your neck, eyes glowing as you squirm uncomfortably under him.

admittedly, not the most foolproof plan you could’ve devised.

“who are you?” he seethed, baring his teeth as you gasp for air, his knee digging into your side.

“need…need your help,” you gasp out, his fingers around your throat pressing slightly tighter.

your statement takes him by surprise, eyes squinting a bit as he looks over your face, prices of a girl he’d seen around a bit coming into his mind.

“are you mad?” gojo looked both angry and annoyed, most likely because he never expected to be so taken by surprise in his own home.

you attempt to shrug, lips pulling into a wavy smile.

“possibly,” you whisper, not wanting to wake anybody up. god knows what would happen if his father or mother woke up, “but you’re my last resort.”

gojo sputters in even more confusion.

“need…have to run away,” you murmur, voice heavy and thick with gasps of air, “need you to help me run away.”

gojo blinks.

“what?”

the question falls out slowly, disbelief riddled in his tone and you slowly feel regret creep up into you. you were out of your mind to think that this would work.

you wrangle your hand out of his hold, wiggling the bracelet of vines and twine around your wrist. a symbol of a woman claimed. something that was searing into your skin and something you couldn’t take off no matter how hard you tried.

gojo took it in, eyes dissecting every single aspect of it as your hand slowly feel back to your side.

“please,” it’s a simple but raw plea, a hope that maybe you truly wouldn’t be alone in this hectic way of life you want to escape.

gojo look at your face, takes in the desperation and fear in your face. the slight tremble in your lips, no matter how hard you’re trying to look fierce. he saw the bracelet, pieced your story together rather fast. it’s not the first time he’s heard of unlucky matches, but it is the first time someone’s ever come to him about it.

maybe it’s the way he knows that if it were him in your place, he might’ve done the same. that perhaps he was wanting to do the same regardless. gojo loves his role, he loves his title and his claim, but his hatred for his predetermined destiny was one he wanted to get rid of before it consumed him.

so it might’ve been the way he saw a reflection of himself in your eyes, or maybe it was this strange weight that felt like guilt that settled in his stomach, but slowly he lifted himself off of your body,

and held out his hand for you to take.
