I take a deep breath and think about my lungs, and how I never smoked a cigarette my entire life.

There's a wee poem called Edinburgh by Hugh MacDiarmid, that contains the line "But Edinburgh is a mad god’s dream" Now if MacDiarmid thought that in the mid-twentieth century, what would he think of this place in the heart of Morningside?
Created in the mid 90's as an advertising gimmick, I must say that it has lost a bit of the charm it once had when I visited over twelve years ago.
There were a number of let units in ‘El Paso’, occupied by ceramists and other artists. The project took six months and by great stroke of good luck, one of the employees, and his very talented girlfriend, had worked on the construction of Euro Disney – hence the authentic paint effects and signage.
One of the units is the midst of being given a modernisation, new windows already fitted to the once mock western frontage, I must say it now looks a bit jaded and I think it's days may be numbered, so if you haven't visited please go soon, it is on google maps, just search for Wild West Edinburgh.
Above is a montage of my pics from 2011
