They made up for slow start as they raced to 76 of 18 oers. It looked like they would make a move on. But Ash dismissed Amla against the run of play. Faf joined De Kock and started rotating straight away. Run rate improved close to 5. De Kock completed his fifty. He had converted all his 50s to centuries against India so far. He had scoerd 5 of them. But against the run of play De Kock was castled by Jadeja while trying to sweep. SA were 116-2.ABD and FAF then made a move as they scored quick runs in next 4 overs. SA were 140-2 at 29th over. They looked set for 280 plus score. ABD has a habbit of getting runout in key matches. He was runout against India in 2015 world cup as well. Faf called him for a single which never existed. Pandya fielded brilliantly and threw at Dhoni's end who removed bails in a flash. Panic had struck in again. If that was enough, Miller and Faf were found at the same end of the crease. Miller out in disastrous manner. SA 142-4 all of a sudden. Post that it was all downhill. Faf lost it mentally. He was castled by Pandya. Bumrah dismissed Morris and Phehlukwayo in quick sucession. Duminy tried to hold things together. But 2 wickets in 2 balls by Bhuvi and another runout ended SA innings. From 140-2 in 29th over to 191 allout in 45th over. SA did the BIG C again while batting. They had the bowling to pose a threat but was 191 enough??? India will win if they bat 40-45 overs. SA had to keep taking wickets.Surprisingly Rohit and Dhawan started aggressively and hit 2 sixes in first 4 overs. Rohit tried one shot too many and was caught behind of Morkel. SA troubled Kohli initially but Indian skipper fought hard. He was dropped by Amla early on and one catch fell short of Morkel in 3rd man. Once that phase was off, he settled in nicely. Dhawan on the other hand was batting like a free bird. His time was exquisite. He was batting like he did in 2015 world cup. Timing, movement around the crease, shot selection was all spot. He and Kohli marched on after initial jitters. They had 100 plus stand. Just when it looked like Dhawan could score a century, he got out to Tahir. Yuvi joined Kohli. Indian skipper scored his 2nd fifty of the series. India eventually won with 12 overs to spare by 8 wickets. India would now most probably meet Bangladesh in SF unless winner of Lanka and Pakistan match surpass India in runrate which looks unlikely.</p>

<p>Nadal vs Wawrinka was expected to be a cracker. First 5 games was a struggle for both the players. These 5 games took 28 minutes. Wawrinka had first chance of breaking Nadal in 3rd game. He couldnt convert. Nadal then broke Wawrinka 2 games later. Post that it was one way traffic. Nadal won 7 games consecutively from 3-2 in first set to 3-0 in 2nd set.Nadal eventually won the 2nd set 6-3. He broke Wawrinka again immediately in 3rd set to make it 3-1. He won the set and match 6-1. After 3rd game, Nadal didnt face a break point. No player has managed to win even 5 games against Nadal in a set. He didnt lose a set throughout the tournament. He just lost 35 games. Ruthlessness has reached new peak. The way Nadal has decimated and won historic 10th French open was refreshing to see. He can win more slams in this form. He became first mens player to win a slam 10 times. For that he would definetly be termed a legend if not already. It would be really tough to beat this record. He surpassed Sampras 14 slams record . He now has 15 and just 3 behind Federer. He might not surpass Federer but would definetly be 2nd placed for some years to come. Only Djokovic has chance to get near if he returns to form. Nadal became emtional during press conference as they showed winning moments of all his 10 wins. They made his uncle and coach Tony to present him the trophy. Wawrinka has lost his firt slam final but to be fair he was no competition.</p>

Market Theatre scores 47 Naledi nominations

A record 47 Naledi Theatre Awards nominations affirms the Market Theatre as the best in the business.

The massive tally has surpassed all previous nomination records and sees the Market Theatre affirming its place as South Africa’s most vibrant theatre that is committed to telling unique South African stories.

On Monday night’s Naledi Reveal the theatre scooped nominations in 17 categories, including five nominations in each of three different categories – the Best Lighting Design, the Best Ensemble and the Best Production of a Play.

“The Market Theatre is very proud of this incredible achievement. It is a huge accolade for the creative and artistic teams at the Market Theatre; and especially for the Artistic Director James Ngcobo. He continues to take the Market Theatre to new heights with passion, vision and a determined commitment to unearth fresh talent and to support emerging artists,” said Ismail Mahomed, CEO of the Market Theatre Foundation.

Classical Music 2017

Now for 10 years, Auto & General Theatre on the Square prides itself on being the only venue in Gauteng to host regular weekly music concerts during the day.

In 2017, leading South African and international classical musicians, both established and rising stars, will grace the stage with their extraordinary talents and exciting varied programmes.

Exciting new Friday lunch hour classical music line-up for 2017 released at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square in Sandton.
