Bulega masters Magny-Cours: Race 2 showdown unfolds
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team) held off a relentless challenge from Valentin Debise (GMT94 Yamaha) to secure a hard-fought victory in Race 2. Bulega's triumph further extended his championship lead, now 60 points ahead of his closest rival, Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha), who finished in third place. Bulega started strongly, attempting to break away from the pack, but Debise matched his pace lap after lap, staying within striking distance. The Frenchman's relentless pursuit kept the pressure on Bulega until Lap 14 when the Italian managed to pull away slightly and clinch his 11th win of the season. Behind them, the battle for fourth was a fierce one, with Marcel Schroetter (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) edging out Niki Tuuli (PTR Triumph) in a race-long duel. Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team) finished just a fraction of a second behind Tuuli in sixth place. WorldSSP Race 2 Results 1. Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team) 2. P1 | Nicolo Bulega | Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team "It was a great weekend with pole position and two victories again. It's always something special. I want to enjoy this moment with my team. We did a great job. My feeling with the bike was very good all the weekend. I want to congratulate Debise because he was very fast. I had to push from the first corner and every lap. In the end, I won so this is important for the Championship because I take 25 points, and Manzi lost a few points. 60 points is a good advantage but I don't want to think of the Championship now. When it's time, we will think about it. Last year in Aragon, I had my first podium after two difficult years in Moto2TM, and then coming back on the podium was very nice. So, I have a good memory of Aragon and I'm looking forward to going there and trying to win."

Triumph Motorcycles Extends Partnership With Moto2 Until 2029
Triumph Motorcycles has signed a new contract to continue as Exclusive Engine Supplier for the FIM Moto2™ World Championship for another five seasons, from 2025-2029.This will see Triumph powering the Moto2TM teams for a decade, enabling riders and teams to thrive and develop using its record-breaking 765 triple engine. To build on the success so far, and to further improve the performance and capability of the engine, Triumph will develop a full new race gearbox, which will make its debut in the 2025 season. Some improvements are already underway, with the engineering team testing parts after use in this year’s Moto2TM rounds in order to make improvements in gear selection for the 2024 season.” Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer, Triumph Motorcycles said: “Moto2TM continues to be an excellent platform to showcase the performance and capability of our 765 triple engines, driving demand for our new Street Triple 765 range. Over the last five years, we’ve used the race engine programme to drive enhancements to the 765 engine, and gain insights and learnings that we’ve used to further develop and evolve our Street Triple 765 range. Our reputation for bulletproof durability, reliability and class-leading performance has grown, which in turn, drives our global sales. “Just as the Moto2TM teams make every lap count, our engineers have used every opportunity to enhance every dimension of the engine performance, from speed, power and torque, to revs, cylinder pressure and compression ratio. This has enabled us to deliver improvements on track each season, achieving shorter race times, faster top speeds and lap times, more winners and closer racing. “The new race gearbox will make a big difference to the results that riders can achieve on track in Moto2, and in advance of this, our engineering team is already testing and developing improvements in gear selection, testing parts after use in this year’s Moto2TM rounds.” Carlos Ezpeleta, Dorna Sports Chief Sporting Officer: “"Our first five years working with Triumph are proving to be a real success, with great racing, riders achieving new Moto2 records across the board and impressive reliability from the off. We wanted this collaboration to help to define that step between Moto3 and the MotoGP class, and I think Triumph have achieved just that. We’re really happy with the way the partnership is evolving as well, with more innovation and development still to come, and we're looking forward to five more exciting years together." As competition for the Triumph Triple Trophy heats up, the winner’s bike, an exclusive Street Triple 765 RS, has been unveiled at Silverstone on the Day of Champions. Designed to recognise impressive performances throughout the field, the 2023 competition has been fiercely fought so far. Pedro Acosta’s incredible lap times see him at the top of the leaderboard with 26 points, closely followed by Dennis Foggia in 2nd place with 21 points, thanks to his excellent race progression. Sam Lowes and Alonso Lopez share 3rd place on 17 points. This year’s winner will follow in the footsteps of Moto2TM greats Jeremy Alcoba, Raul Fernandez and Marco Bezzecchi. Triumph Motorcycles opens new Factory Visitor Experience
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Iconic British motorcycle brand Triumph Motorcycles unveils immersive experience, factory tour and cafe at their Hinckley factory
Triumph Motorcycles has opened the doors to an immersive new Visitor Centre that will allow fans to go behind-the-scenes and journey through a 115 years of motorcycling excellence.
Based at the brand’s headquarters and UK manufacturing facilities in Hinckley, Leicestershire it is set to open on 1 November. The Triumph Factory Experience is free to visit and will showcase an exclusive collection of never-before-seen exhibits centred around the design, engineering and manufacture of Triumph’s most iconic models.
Among the most exciting exhibits will be the most famous movie Triumph of all time – the Triumph Bonneville on which Steve McQueen attempted to jump the border fence in The Great Escape, which has been lovingly restored to working order.
Elsewhere, the two-wheeled stars from road, track and screen include the very first Triumph No1 from 1902, the Speed Triple ridden by Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2 and the latest race engine prototype for the 2019 Moto2TM championship.
Visitors will be able to book a guided tour of the Hinckley factory, which is at the heart of motorcycle manufacturing in the UK and is the spiritual home of Triumph. This extensive behind the scenes tour of the engineering and manufacturing facilities will give an unprecedented insight into Triumph’s unique and leading approach to designing and building motorcycles.
Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer, Triumph Motorcycles, said: “We are very proud and excited to be able to invite Triumph and motorcycling fans from around the world to come and experience our brand first-hand, here at the factory where every Triumph starts its life.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
“With so many important and rare bikes on display, the Visitor Experience will be a must for motorcycle and movie fans alike, but also an opportunity to help us celebrate our proud heritage and our passion for building great motorcycles. We hope this rewards and inspires every fan of the brand, and ignites a love for Triumph in a whole new generation.’’
Spread across eight distinctly-themed areas that combine to create a full Triumph experience, from celebrating the shared attitude of riders and fans, to the incredible bloodline of bikes, racing and popular culture, to the global network our riders represent and the full story of design from sketch to final assembly – the Visitor Experience represents the home of the brand – built by riders, for riders.
In addition to the first model ever made, visitors to the experience will also find a host of rare and unique models including a 1919 Triumph ‘Trusty’ Model H used during the First World War, the 1959 Bonneville that shook the world and all of the brand’s legends with the Hurricane X75, T595 Trident and original ‘94 Speed Triple.
Racing and winning is also central to the Triumph story and features heavily in the experience. From an original 1920s TT racer alongside legends from American and British competition of the 1950s and 60s, as well as Gary Johnson’s 2014 Isle of Man Supersports TT winning Triumph Daytona 675.
Visitors to the new centre can also sample the Triumph 1902 café, which offers freshly-ground coffee, a comprehensive menu and free Wi-Fi in unique surroundings – the perfect place to top up the tank before the journey home.
The Triumph Shop is also on-hand for those looking to mark their visit with a unique range of high-quality branded merchandise, clothing and limited-edition Visitor Experience souvenirs.
Admission to the Visitor Centre is free of charge, while the 90-minute factory tour can be booked online in advance for £15 per person. The experience is open to the public from 1 November and tickets can be purchased from today.
