I had no real opinions about the new Mr & Mrs Smith but I’ve heard the “they aren’t hot enough” “they have to be hot for it to work”

I’m watching it with my mom and the second Donald Glover appeared on screen her reaction was “God damn he’s hot” so to the average viewer I think they’re attractive enough for this show. But ya know who am I to say 🤷🏽‍♀️

finished the 2024 prime video Mr & Mrs Smith today, and i cannot stop thinking about how the first scene was such a clear and yet nice foreshadowing

jane and john are at peace with each other and their love, until jane #2 and john #2 get to them - they decide to fight, but soon into it john gets shot so fast and discreetly that it takes jane a while to see and process it - accepting that john is dead, jane decides to take one last stand and goes out guns blazing

now, i know that the point of that final scene is to leave us wondering whether or not did they escape, and while i would've liked for them to survive, i think it would be nicer if they did die and then in a second season we get to see jane #2 and john #2 as the main characters and their routine killing other smiths. then somewhere in the second half of the season we see their first failure, and how they (and hihi) cope with it. mainly i'd like this because i want to see more of the organization and its lore, but also i want to see more of john #2 (played by my love wagner moura)

I feel like I have to start letting Mr and Mrs Smith go.

It’s been almost three months, no news of a renewal or cancellation. The longer this goes on the less positive I feel.

This part makes me feel like an asshole…im thrilled for Maya Erskine, having a baby (if you want one) is a beautiful thing…but the insane fan in me thinks of what she’s said about being away from her kids during filming a tv show like this and the grueling hours and Francesca Slone had dropped the notion that Maya might not be a part of a season two…

If there is a season 2 and Maya isn’t involved, I don’t think I want it.

Which means…I have to let it go…
