Academy AU notes (Mostly Grian notes)
Grian
~ A nice senior college student.
~ Used to go Evo Academy before he had to change schools because of a certain event.
~ Has burn scars all over his body.
~ Doesn't talk that much but he will sing sometimes (but lately he hasn't been singing a lot and the hermits are admittedly worried about him).
~ Is rivals with Doc.
~ Is best friends with Mumbo, Iskall, Ren, Impulse, Stress, Joe, Xisuma, and Scar.
~ Is currently dating a girl that he loves very much.
~ Likes to cook, in fact, besides Joe and TFC, he is the third cooker/baker in the dorm.
~ Is studying architecture and building.
~ Is new to redstone but is understanding it slightly.
~ Has two pet cats named Maui and Pearl but also has a pet parrot named Professor Beak.
~ Doesn't like to be near fire that much.
~ Misses his old friends dearly.
~ Seems shy and nervous when you first speak to him but once you get to know him you can see how an absolute gremlin he is.
~ Has a locket that has a picture of his old friends inside it.
~ Have nightmares and panic attacks about the event at Evo.
~ Likes to write music and sing.
~ If you say your hungry around him, he would somehow throw you (or hand you) a random snack he gets from his satchel that he wears most of the time.
~ You think Joe being the dad of the group is bad? Try Grian, even though he doesn't talk that much (only talks to Mumbo, Iskall, Ren, Impulse, Stress, Joe, Xisuma, and Scar) he would go full on dad mood if something bad happens to one of the students at the dorm.
~ He gets bullied for his scars.
~ He keeps to himself.
~ Likes to draw a lot, he says it helps him get things off his mind. (He's really good at drawing!).
~ His dorm is surprisingly clean and he has a lot of money for some reason.
~ Has a job outside of the academy, it pays well.
~ He is abnormally strong, he could lift you up at any given time (seriously when Doc was sick that one time, Grian lifted him up on his shoulders and took Doc to his room which was with Beef, Etho, and Bdubs. Scare the shit out of the three when he busted in and threw Doc onto his bed and just left only to say "Take care of him, he's sick).
~ Is a gremlin, once he gets to know you, run, as you are his next person to prank.
~ Doesn't like to take breaks during a project.
~ Likes tea and coffee a bit too much.
~ Doesn't usually get sick and he doesn't usually overslept but when he does it can be worrying.
~ Gets sleep deprived a lot.
Relationships with the other hermits.
Doc:
Him and Grian are rivals, the other hermits would often have bets on who would snap at each other. Though the two do worry about each other from time to time. He would say "Even though he and I are rivals, we do care for each other."
Mumbo:
The first hermit (along with Iskall and Xisuma) to welcome Grian to the dorms when he first arrived. Helped Grian with his nightmares and panic attacks. "He's like my little brother! Which is strange because I am younger than him."
Iskall:
The second hermit (along with Mumbo and Xisuma) to welcome Grian to the dorms when he first arrived. Thinks of Grian as a little brother and helps him with his panic attacks and nightmares. "I will kill everyone in this dorm and than myself if anything happens to Grian."
Xisumavoid (X or Xisuma):
The third hermit (along with Mumbo and Iskall) to welcome Grian to the dorms when he first arrived. Helped Grian get out of his shell more and also let Grian keeps his pets. "He's cool, though he is an absolute bastard when it comes to pranks but again he's fun to be around."
Joe:
When he heard that their was going to be a new student living at the firm's he was excited. Though what he didn't bargain for was the student having lots of nightmares and panic attacks but he didn't mind it. "I would personally adopted him."
Stress:
When she first met Grian she instantly felt protective over him, and whenever Grian gets sick (which rarely happens but when he does it's worrying) she takes care of him along with Joe. "I will protect Grian at all costs, even though he would most likely protect me most of the time."
Cleo:
She doesn't know much about Grian only the fact that he came from another school after an horrible event happened at that school. "I want to talk to him more but due to my classes I really can't which is such a same."
False:
Spoke to Grian a couple of times but if she told you her thoughts on him it would be "A precious small bean that needs to be protected."
TFC:
He is the only adult supervisor in the Hermit Dorms but he welcomed Grian with opened arms, he is usually the one to help Grian when needed. "He doesn't cause that much trouble like the other kids, though he needs to work on his relationship with Doc more."
Wels:
Hasn't spoken to Grian lately but he had heard stories/rumors about him going about, but their good rumors not the bad ones. "I wish I could meet him, but from what I could see, he's a shy kid which I don't blame him."
Beef:
Doesn't know Grian personality but he does know that both he and Doc are rivals. "I guess he's cool, when he heard that I was sick one time he cooked me some mushroom stew."
Etho:
Haven't even spoken to the guy, though they did had a staring contest when Grian caught him by accident while going to the kitchen. "We just sorta.... Stared at each other before going back to what we were doing. Not the best impression of myself to be honest with ya."
Bdubs:
Talked to Grian a couple of times but not as much as the other hermits. "Scare the living shit out of me when he came inside out room with Doc over his shoulders and he just threw Doc on his bed and was like "Take care of him, he's sick" and then he just left without a word."
Tango:
Likes Grian as a friend and helps Grian out sometimes. "He's seem nice! Though I hope that he could come out of his shell more."
Impulse:
Is best friends with Grian and he would say "The little gremlin is a lot of fun and he is a prankster."
Ren:
Is best friends with Grian and have small talks before going to bed "He's really friendly once you get to know him! I just wish there was a way to help the kid with his panic attacks and nightmares."
Scar:
Is best friends with him and would help him with anything he needs "He's an amazin guy, we both like cats and have cats so we often hang out."
That's about it! I am not doing any of the other hermits as I do not know them well like I do with the ones up top. Hope you like this AU!

Haunted Castle Chapter One
Summary: Green and his little sister Zelda move into an old castle that Green managed to buy really cheap because of the ‘ghosts haunting it for a hundred years.’ Green doesn’t believe in ghosts, but when he, Zelda, and their neighbor Vaati notice supernatural things happening in the old castle, that changes.
“Green! Did you get it?” six-year-old Zelda asked, jumping on Green as he walked through the door. Green nodded and Zelda cheered.
“Yep. it was surprisingly really cheap. Cost about as much as a regular house, even though it’s about eight times bigger.” he said.
“Did you ask why?” she asked. Green nodded again, laughing a bit.
“Yeah. the reason was kind of funny in my opinion, and very superstitious.”
---
“Are you sure you want to buy my castle?” asked Mr. Gaebora, former owner of the old castle known as Hyrule Castle. Green nodded.
“Yeah, I do. My parents gave me a ridiculously large amount of money, like two million dollars, and my little sister, Zelda, has always wanted to live in a castle. She says it might make her feel like a princess.” he said. Mr. Gaebora shook his head.
“All right. But you can’t live there without knowing what happened a hundred years ago.” Green sat down in one of the chairs in the room and waved a hand at the old man.
“Shoot, tell me. I like stories.” he said.
“A hundred years ago, Hyrule Castle was lively and fun. It was always bustling with servants, and the prince and princess lived happily with their parents and their friends that lived in the castle with them.”
The man showed Green a picture of an old painting from the castle that he kept in his smaller house of a blond girl and boy, the girl wearing a beautiful pink dress and the boy a green tunic with silver lining. To the girl’s side was a boy wearing all purple, violet earrings in his pointed ears and purple cat-like eyes. He wasn’t smiling like the other occupants of the painting, but the painter had managed to capture a happy light in his eyes somehow.
There was a shadowy demon-like figure next to the purple boy, one arm slung around his shoulder. He looked carefree and happy, his grin showing white fangs. His eyes were mismatched, one red and one blue. To the boy’s side at the edge of the painting was a boy who was short and looked young, but dressed in knight’s clothes, silver armor over a blue tunic. The green-clad boy was ruffling the knight’s hair, and they seemed happy.
Behind the prince and princess was a boy a bit shorter than the knight, wearing old servant’s clothes that were a blood red. He was grinning as wide as possible, seeming to cast a happy glow around the other people. He had one arm around the girl, and one around the boy, relaxed and happy.
Green frowned. “What happened to them?”
Mr. Gaebora shook his head sadly. “They were murdered in their sleep. All of the prince and princess’ friends that were killed were buried under the floors of their favorite spots. The scholar, the library. The servant, the kitchens. The knight, the armory. The demon-child, in the main hall. After so many deaths, the prince and princess moved, scared, and eventually died of old age. The spirits of the victims haunt the castle to this day. The previous owners said they saw objects flying about during the day, and at night, haunted singing. And, after they move there, something… bad happens to the owners.”
Green nodded. “Well, I don’t believe in ghosts, it’s probably all superstition.”
“I warned you, but good luck.”
---
Zelda stared at her brother in awe. “We’re still moving there? But what if something bad happens to us?”she asked. Green shook his head, laughing.
“Zelly, it’s okay. I’ll bet Mr. Gaebora was just trying to scare us, and that this whole haunting thing is a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. Ghosts don’t exist, so you don’t need to be afraid. Besides, we’re living in a huge castle like you’ve always wanted!” he said.
“Anything else I should know about this castle?” Zelda asked. Green grinned.
“We don’t need furniture or anything unless we want to bring it, since Mr. Gaebora is selling it with all of the original furniture and possessions of the first owners. Even the old clothes, and I’m sure there are clothes that belonged to the princess that will fit you!” Zelda perked right up at that, no longer worried about the ghosts.
---
“Zelly! Wake up, we’re almost there!” Green said, reaching into the back seat to shake the little girl awake. She yawned and looked out the window.
“Where is it?” she asked. Green pointed out the window, and there was a beautiful castle, pretty old and obviously renovated to be safer in some parts, but the siblings could still see how majestic it looked when it was first built. Green drove through the front gate and parked in front of the fountain that sat before the large front door.
Zelda jumped out of the car and ran around the front courtyard, laughing in delight. Green took his and Zelda’s bags from the trunk of the car and put them one by one next to the front steps. He fumbled the keys a bit before finding the gleaming silver one that unlocked all the doors. He unlocked the front door, and Zelda ran in. Green looked at the map of the castle that he got from Mr. Gaebora.
On it was marked where the supposed ghosts were ‘haunting’ the castle daily. The library, the kitchens, the stables, the entire east wing, the east courtyard that used to be the training grounds, pretty much every bedroom, and about ten hallways. Green laughed a bit and handed the map to Zelda.
“Where do you want your room to be?” she immediately pointed to one of two rooms that weren’t marked for ‘hauntings.’
“The princess room!” she said. The room that used to be the prince’s room was next to the princess’, so Green decided that would be his room. He handed Zelda her bright pink backpack full of stuffed animals and slung his own green bag over his shoulder, following the happy six-year-old up the stairs.
After putting all their things in their rooms, Zelda went to play in the gardens while Green decided to see if these ‘hauntings’ were real.
The library, Green realized, was not drawn to scale on the map. It was humongous, easily one of the largest rooms in the castle. Nearly a hundred shelves filled with books, artwork, and drawings. Above the large fireplace at one end was the painting from the photo, large and colorful. But, for some reason, the eyes seemed too realistic for Green’s liking. He walked around the library multiple times. Sometimes he felt someone behind him, but when he turned, no one was there. A book of paper seemed to fall too far from its shelf to be normal, but Green shrugged it off.
It’s probably nothing… he looked at the chairs circled around a large table and blinked. For a second there, the chairs weren’t empty and the table wasn’t blank of objects.
A boy wearing all purple, the boy from the painting, sat at one of the chairs, huddled over papers written in neat, curled handwriting and multiple books spread out around the circular table. Next to him, another boy, the half-demon, was talking about something, grinning and gesturing wildly as he told the story. At one point, the purple boy started laughing, and the two started talking together, the work abandoned.
Green shook his head, and the table was empty one more, no laughter echoing in the large room, no shuffle of papers, no teenagers studying documents. Just an empty library. Green hurried right out of there to the closest spot on the map: one of the grand halls. He looked up at a painting of a beautiful woman holding two babies in her arms. The queen, holding the prince and princess.
There was a crash sound behind Green, and he spun around to see an old vase that was on the shelf shattered in pieces on the floor. This house is old, and things fall over, right? He thought. Suddenly, footsteps sounded from nowhere, echoing in the halls. Another ghostly scene unfolded in front of Green.
Three boys, the two from the library and the knight from the painting, but without all the armor, were in a corner of the grand hall. The demon was rolling on the floor laughing, and the knight was about to do the same. The purple boy was frowning at them, arms crossed, but a smile tugged at his lips. Footsteps sounded, and the three boys hid in one of the empty rooms. The demon laughed out loud, and the purple boy covered his mouth with his hand.
Green stepped back, and the scene disappeared as the knight was about to cover another doorknob that was right behind Green. “I’m just imagining things…” he muttered, walking to the west wing.
He stared at all of the dusty armor pieces lying around, but some looked freshly polished. There were spears, swords, bows and arrows, and shields all around the room. The west wing must have been the armory. One of the armor sets looked just like the one the knight wore in the picture, gleaming silver with a blue cape. It was noticeably cleaner than the others, as well.
The armor suddenly crashed to the floor, and Green yelped, jumping away. The ringing in his ears faded to angry yelling.
The knight chased a boy wearing red servant clothes through the armory, both of them laughing. The knight hit the servant in the shoulder, and the servant jumped behind a suit of armor. The armor fell off the stand, and the two stared at it before laughing. They walked off, the knight scolding the servant, but both grinning.
Green, no longer calm about this, ran out of there real fast.
The doorbell that had been installed a year ago rang. Green ran to the door and opened it to see a short boy with long lavender hair. He had on red shorts, a lavender shirt, and a dark purple…
“Why are you wearing a cape, dude?” Green asked. The boy frowned.
“Because I like it, okay?” he snapped. He calmed down almost immediately and held out his hand. “Nice to meet you, I’m Vaati, your neighbor.” Green shook his hand.
“Kid, I don’t know if this is rude or not, but how old are you? Where are your parents? And why are you here?” Vaati crossed his arms and huffed in annoyance.
“I get this a lot. In order: I’m eighteen, just really short, I don’t have parents I have a grandfather named Ezlo who’s really annoying and he’s at home, and I’m here to welcome you, duh.” he said. Green blinked.
“...I assumed you were like ten but okay. Nice to meet you, Vaati, I’m Green. I’m eighteen, too. I just moved here with my sister, Zelda, she’s six. You want to come in?” Vaati nodded eagerly.
“Oh, good, I was just going to walk home, no one’s actually wanted me to stay at their house before, well, except Ezlo, but we’re related so he doesn’t count. I’ve heard this castle is haunted, and when I did, I researched everything I could about it. I can tell you all about its history and the names of the original family who lived here and the staff, even royal family secrets! I can also tell you, like, specific times the hauntings happen, and when you can see the ghosts, and how the kids who haunt this place were murdered!” he rambled, a little too enthusiastic about ghosts and murder.
“Okay. Want me to show you around?” he asked. Vaati nodded, and Green pulled out the map, only to have it immediately snatched by the smaller boy. Vaati’s eye widened, and he grimaced.
“WOW. Okay, this is not to scale. I’ve been here before and seen original documents about this place, it used to be really famous, and even though I don’t know shit about drawing I’ll bet I could do a better job mapping this place.” he said, pulling out a notebook from his now seemingly infinite pockets.
“Um, okay, Vaati. I live here with a little girl, so please don’t cuss anymore here.” he said.
“Okay.”
“Also, where do you want to go first?” Vaati looked at the map.
“LIBRARY!” he yelled. Green jumped, this kid was loud. The two walked to the library, Vaati writing things down in his notebook as they walked. When they reached the library, Vaati laughed and ran around, pulling multiple things off the shelf and eventually piling them on the table. Green looked at the fireplace and frowned. It was lit, but it wasn’t the first time he was there.
Probably just Zelda… he thought.
---
After a few surprisingly fun hours with Vaati, the lavender-haired boy had to leave. He gave Green his address before he left, along with a new, definitely drawn to scale map of the castle.
Green walked back to his room and took out one of the blank notebooks from his bag that he used for notes. He started writing down the scenes that he saw that day.
Let’s see, the library… the advisor and demon laughing about something when they were previously reading about something else, the knight, advisor, and demon obviously doing something wrong that they thought was funny, then hiding, and the knight and servant playing some game of tag or something. He looked up at the sound of a flute, and another scene popped up.
The advisor and demon sat outside the door in the hallway, listening to the servant boy sing a beautiful, but slightly creepy, melody. When the servant finished, the advisor gave an approving smile while the demon applauded. The servant boy took an exaggerated bow, and the three laughed.
Green blinked. ...and a concert of some kind with the servant, demon, and advisor.
All of the strange scenes now on paper and out of Green’s head, the eighteen-year-old fell onto the bed into an uneasy sleep. He was plagued by dreams all night.
---
Green is watching the scenes from that day, but with sound and more color.
The advisor is sitting at the round table like earlier, muttering something while writing in neat handwriting on a piece of paper, reading a book at the same time.
Violet Oshitsu. That was his name. Green didn’t know how he knew that, but he did. The royal family’s adviser, age sixteen. Smartest person known in Hyrule at the time.
The demon child next to him was talking about what had happened at lunch, which Vio supposedly missed because he slept in late again.
Shadow Lorule. Half demon, half Hylian. Good friend of Vio and the knight’s, and lives in the castle.
“... And then Arcy ran in yelling about us being quiet. I mean, she was louder than we were! Actually, wait, scratch that, she was louder than Blue snoring, and you know how loud that guy is!” that got a laugh from Vio, though he was trying to hide it.
The two looked at each other and burst out laughing. “Blue is going to kill you when he finds out you said that.”
Shadow waved his hand. “Nah, he won’t even find out. He can’t find me half the time.”
“Well, your powers don’t exactly help him…”
“I’m only found when I want to be found. And I don’t want to be found by Blue when he finds out.”
The two laughed again and started talking about this, then shifting to another topic, the work completely forgotten on the table.
The dream shifted into another, the scene from the hallway.
Shadow was rolling on the floor, laughing. “This was the best one yet!” he said. The knight laughed along with him.
Blue Oshitsu. Vio’s twin, son of the Captain of the Guard. A well-known swordsman and prankster.
Vio looked at the two laughing on the floor, frowning. “This might be a bit too much, even for Farore’s Day.” Farore’s Day was what became known in modern Hyrule as merely Prank Day. Shadow stopped laughing and grinned at him friend.
“Come on, Vio, lighten up! This is the best one! And besides, it wasn’t my idea, it was Blue’s.” he said. Vio laughed.
“All right, fine.” he said. The three continued to laugh. Footsteps sounded in the hallway, and the three ran into the nearest room, a small closet filled with cleaning supplies. They stopped laughing until a cook came running around the corner.
“When I catch those three, they’re not going to live much longer…” she muttered, covered head to toe in flour and water. Green knew from experience it was really hard to get off.
Blue and Shadow burst into laughter, and Vio somehow stayed straight-faced. Blue stopped almost immediately, but Shadow kept on laughing until Vio covered his mouth with his hand, a small smile on his face.
The cook heard the noise and opened the closet to see the three guilty teenagers. She glared at them, grabbing Vio and Blue by their tunics and pointing to the shadow at their feet, where Shadow somehow dissolved and Vio’s shadow started moving on its own. Vio glared at it.
“You got us caught, idiot.” he muttered. Shadow laughed silently in the silhouette. The cook started dragging the twins, Shadow in tow, to the kitchens.
“You three…” she growled. “Are in BIG trouble. Are you going to apologize?”
“If we do, will you let us live, Miss Arcy?” Blue muttered. Vio glared at him.
“...sorry, Miss Arcy.” They said in unison. Shadow signed something, and Green could somehow understand it.
Yeah, right. You’re not sorry.
No we’re not. You caught us. Vio signed back.
The scene shifted to the armory. Blue chased the servant boy, yelling something. The boy laughed nervously while running.
Red Sage. Grandson of Miss Arcy, the main castle cook. He babysits Blue’s sister a lot.
“RED, GET BACK HERE, YOU LITTLE SHIT!” Blue yelled. Red ran into the armory, laughing. Blue sighed, tired. Red was the fastest runner out of the four boys and the prince and princess. This was a huge advantage when running from trouble, as in running from Blue.
“Come on, Blue, give up, you know you can’t catch me!” Red said, stopping to see how far ahead he was of the knight. That was a mistake. Blue tapped him on the shoulder, almost grabbing him. Red shrieked and dove behind a suit of armor.
“Red, come on, you can’t just throw a tomato at Vio and hit him and not tell me how you did it without him noticing!” Blue said. Red slowly walked out from behind the armor.
“Easy. you’re making a lot of noise, wearing a lot of armor all the time. I don’t, because I don’t wear armor, I wear normal clothes. Also, Vio suspects you or Shadow to prank him, not me. I’m ‘innocent.’” he said. Blue stared at him, then laughed.
“Nice try. Vio can hear a pen drop in a loud room from thirty feet away, don’t tell me he didn’t hear you.” the two walked away laughing.
The scene changed again, where Red, Vio, and Shadow were huddled outside the prince’s room.
“Come on, Red! I want to learn that song, it sounds cool!” Shadow said. Vio nodded.
“It is a nice melody, I would like to learn it and what it means.” Red looked at them and sighed.
“Fine. I’ll sing it once, then tell you what it means.” he said. He started to sing a beautiful melody that sounded a lot happier in the dream, since the castle was lively all the time instead of the cold, empty castle that was now Green’s home.
The song was in SkyScript, an old language from the people above the clouds, and sounded something like this:
Ren, dashebou,
No the shudu,
Dei shodu,
Queraro, saleh.
Vio and Shadow applauded. Red, a little embarrassed, took an exaggerated bow. “What does it mean?” Vio asked. Red smiled.
“It’s an old lullaby that my parents sang to me, I sing it to Sky so she can sleep. It’s actually a prophecy from a really long time ago.”
“What are the words?”
“O youth, guided by… the goddess of light… unite earth and sky… bright light to the land.” he said, pausing at the end of each verse so VIo could write it down.
“That was really good, Red!” Shadow said. Red smiled more.
“Really? Grandma says I shouldn’t sing so much…”
“Well, it was good, who cares what Arcy says?”
“We do when we get in trouble.” Vio muttered.
“Yeah, other than that…” Shadow said. The three laughed.
---
Green woke up with a start. He checked his watch. 7:00 AM… he read. He turned on his phone and opened his contacts. At the top was a new contact: Vaati Minish
He opened a new chat with Vaati and some of Green’s old friends from back in Termina, Saria, Mido, Kafei, Anju, and a boy named Majora but was referred to as Skull Kid, and named it Friend Chat.
Green_Legend: hi guys
He watched the notifications that showed when his friends joined the chat.
[SARIA_SAGE is online]
[KING_OF_THE_FOREST is online]
[MOON_MASK in online]
[SUN_MASK is online]
[SKULL_KID is online]
[WIND_MAGE is online]
Saria_Sage: who’s Wind_Mage
Wind_Mage: Hi, my name is Vaati, and I’m one of Green’s new friends here in Hyrule.
Moon_Mask: ok this guy uses proper gramar
Saria_Sage: *grammar
Sun_Mask: hey Green what’s up
Green_Legend: so I now apparently live in a very haunted castle and you know how I said I don’t believe in ghosts
Skull_Kid: yes you’ve told us a million times
King_of_the_Forest: are you saying you believe in ghosts now or what
Saria_Sage: I do believe he’s saying that yes
Green_Legend: so I saw a lot of ghost like scenes today and then Vaati showed up and we hung out then he left and then I had a weird dream with the ghost scenes but with sound and color and everything and I think it was a vision of something because it was way too realistic to be just a regular dream so yeah I need you guys’ help
Wind_Mage: You do know that I would be perfectly happy to come over to your house and tell you literally everything about the family that originally lived there, right?
Green_Legend: yeah you told me that yesterday and rambled for like an hour
King_of_the_Forest: haha nerd
Sun_Mask: well my mother is a therapist and such so she might be able to help
Skull_Kid: either you can see the future or you have finally gone insane.
Moon_Mask: say yes if you agree that Green has gone crazy.
Moon_Mask: yes
Saria_Sage: yes
King_of_the_Forest: yes
Sun_Mask: yes
Skull_Kid: yes
Wind_Mage: nope I think he’s perfectly sane
Green_Legend: hey if anyone should say I’m sane of not it should be me
Saria_Sage: actually no, it should be a therapist or someone close to you, such as family
Green_Legend: Zel doesn’t think I’m crazy
Skull_Kid: a family member that’s not 6 years old
Wind_Mage: So do you want me to come over or no?
Green_Legend: yeah sure
[WIND_MAGE left the chat]
Green turned off his phone and sat down at the old desk in the corner of the room. Vaati would be here in an hour at most, five minutes at least. Green pulled on a green T-shirt over his black long-sleeve that he wore the other day, not particularly caring whether this style was weird or not. He walked into the kitchen after almost getting lost and saw Zelda already there, getting some breakfast with the food they brought from Termina. Green grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and walked towards the front door.
“Zel, don’t break anything.” he said. Zelda nodded.
“Green, why are you going outside?” she asked.
“To wait for Vaati to come over.”
“Oh! He’s your boyfriend?”
Green turned red as Zelda laughed. “NO! Zelda, stop it!” he yelled. Zelda just grinned and went back for eating her cereal. Green walked outside and sat down on the front steps. After a few minutes, he saw Vaati walking up to the gate, wearing pretty much the same thing as yesterday, but his hair in a different style. All of it was down, held back by a gold headband except for the long bangs that covered his left eye and some of his right. Either he only wore one outfit, or had an entire wardrobe that was just the same thing.
Green opened the gate and Vaati walked into the castle. “Hey, Vaati.” Green said. Vaati waved at Zelda.
“Hi, Vaati!” she said.
“Hello, Zelda.” he turned to Green. “So what exactly do you need help with?” Green pointed to the hall that led to the library.
“Let’s talk in the library.” he said. Vaati nodded and followed him to the World’s Largest Library, as Saria had dubbed it after seeing a picture as requested by Mido, who was secretly a library nerd.
When the two made it to the library, they found it already occupied. Well, not exactly, but someone had been there.
All of the furniture was clean and looked brand-new, and the books and documents were reorganized. Green shrugged it off, thinking that maybe Zelda, being too smart for her age, had reorganized the room like she used to do in their former house.
Vaati and Green sat down at the table and Vaati pulled out multiple books, a journal, and a pencil from his backpack that Green had only just noticed, it being the exact same shade as Vaati’s cape that he wore all the time for some reason. Vaait grinned.
“So.” he said. “Where do we begin?”
