Oreca Battle Introduction Post!

Hello, I am N41R, a.k.a Naive41Rika, the one who submitted her Oreca Battle fanart to Tumblr Radar-

I honestly didn't expect any of my post to make it through, it was just something I did out of curiosity-

And for this occasion, I want to make a quick introduction about Oreca Battle for those who might be curious!

Oreca Battle is an arcade game that scan and also print cards!

Yup, prints cards, not dispense cards! Because Oreca Battle's gimmick is to make a card that you can call your own, so every cards you get from this machine will have your name!

Oreca Battle had an English version that were only distributed to few selected South East Asia countries, and for now there are only few working machines confirmed in Philippines and Indonesia

This franchise also have about... 5 manga titles and a completed anime series with around 51 episodes (each episode is around 10 minutes long, including opening)

For the anime, you can find the English Subtitled version on Crunchyroll (although their translation are a bit wonky-)

While most of the manga are only available as E-book through Japanese Kindle, two of the official manga drawn by Demizu Posuka were available on corocoro before But now you can only read through chapter 1-5 for free

Other than the main arcade game, Oreca Battle also,

Have an iOS app version of the game,

Have some of the characters made an appearance in Solomon Program (a turn-base Nintendo Switch game from Konami)

Have a sister game called Otocadoll (a fighting-rhythm arcade game with similar card system with Oreca Battle), and

Currently have a spiritual successor named Ore'n (multi-platform gacha game with similar battle system)

And that's pretty much it for general introduction!

Oreca Battle's lore are not limited to what are shown in the anime and in the manga, they were also hidden in the interaction between characters while playing the game, and in the game guide as well

And the fact that the cards that you get after playing the game will have your name on it is very endearing to me

Personally, I think that's what makes Oreca Battle very charming

Ris Gushing About Oreca Battle Various Manga Titles

The desire to make this post started after Mecha have posted their scanlation for the preview of Oreca Battle 2 new manga that will be released in January 2025- /slapped

From what I can see from Mecha's translated preview, it seem like the manga is going to focus much more into the world of Oreca through the eyes of a manga exclusive protag (who seem to also be a monster/denizen of Oreca World!)

In the past Oreca Battle have lots, and I mean LOTS of manga titles with different story focus

I have made a similar post like this one before, in which I gush about each chapters of Posuka-sensei's manga that were released for free on Corocoro few years ago when Beyblade X anime's were announced

But with this opportunity, I want to talk about some stuff about Oreca Battle manga that I was able to read on Corocoro's new website!

(Monster Retsuden - Oreca Battle)

First off, we have Orega Fire's adventure manga which focuses more on the battles and Oreca world's impacting the human world

I love the interactions between the human battlers and their monsters here, it painted and shows more of the monsters personality

In example, how most of the monsters in Fire's team are monsters who some peeps might call the bad end or dark side version of the chapter's protag (Ex: Dark Musketeer Dartan, Hell Gatekeeper's Dante, Dark Dragon Knight Leon)

And explaining Dark Leon's backstory? When in-game we never got any glimpses of Leon's backstory??? God bless this manga, my god-

And Leon's backstory in this manga is diabolical, goddamn-

I also really love how the mangaka draws the monsters interacting with the Oreca Boys' Club, even getting into their antic and banter as well- I thrive for stuff like this wkfhsjfks-

With Ginger Ale's adventure, although it have a monster protag, the focus is more to Ginger Ale's adventure in the human world fighting against the monsters trying to breach into the world of humans while also trying to get his power back as well

For me, being able to glance on the monsters that appears on the new chapters series is such a treat, because you know... what happened with the EN version sjfjsjcjd-

And then there is Monster Adventure manga which delve into some of the monsters backstory and adventures, which gives us insight on how the world of Oreca is like!

I might be biased, but this manga is my most favourite one, because being able to understand each monsters' backstories in more details are what I thrive for-

Especially with monsters like Kurt and Mardok, whose story is not really not explained fully or even told in game-

Like, if you only played the game, you'll never know that Kurt and Dran are actually besties in the past, or that the reason why Mardok become Avadon was actually because of a conflict between Babyloa Kingdom and Mesotania Kingdom-

And my dearly beloved, Oretachi Oreca! 4-koma gag manga-

I love seeing all of these characters in comedic setting so, so much- It gives them more personality and showing a side that you probably could never think of, and I love this manga for that-

One of the few things I wish is canon from this manga, is balding Maotai- I genuinely wishes this one is canon, I need to make fun of the balding demon emperor- /slapped

Otsu Post for my Oreca Battle Session from May 2024-

I made a blog entry for this month's session, because miracle occurs and so many things happened at once, it was one of the most insane session I've ever had since the last time I battled Red Dragon-

I did spent more credits than I usually do for funsies, but my god, what followed after-

((Also please do ignore the shitty doodle I used as this entry's thumbnail, I wanted it to look as shitpost-y as possible-))

For the past few months, I have been going into the arcade to play Oreca, with missions on hand Those missions are,

Get 4★ CuChulainn's item, "Holy Will"

Get 3★ Darkness Magica's item, "Raven Magic Stone"

Hang out at Chapter 6 for a chance to meet Pyramid Head

I don't have much expectation with my luck, so I usually give 3 chances to explore each chapters incase I didn't meet any of the monsters I was aiming for

And guess who I met on my first encounter of the day?

FRIGGIN CUCHULAINN- AND HE GAVE ME "HOLY WILL"-

AFTER SO MANY TRIES AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MEET HIM, HE SHOWS UP ON MY FIRST PLAY-

Finally having one mission crossed off, I thought maybe I could relax a bit, try my luck on the other mission, y'know?

And my second play started WAY TOO INTENSE for my poor mind-

DARKNESS MAGICA SHOWS UP-

AND WITHIN THE INCH OF HIS LIFE, BEELZEBUB CASTED "DEATH" AND EARNED US A VICTORY

AND MY WHITE WHALE, "RAVEN MAGIC STONE" AAAAAAAA---

AFTER TRYING SO MANY TIMES TO MEET HIM AND NIHIL, THEN FIGHTING HIM 2 TIMES AND GOT NO ITEM TWICE AS WELL- AEFKHKDFJHJGVDRTG--

At this point, I grew anxious- I contacted Enzina and talked to her to calm myself down, because this was a barrage of stimulation-

Then I told her, "Yeah, let's take things slow. I might try to get Kurt or Dran for now"

Guess what, tho?

PANDORA SAYS NO, WE GO TO THE GHOST SHIP-

We might have lost the battle, but guess who got commands up and joined the team with rare item???

DEMON KING AZUL JOINED, BRINGING "EVIL SHELL SAUSE"!!!

THE RARE ITEM THAT CAN CHANGE 4★ DANTE AND 4★ POWAN BGM INTO THE ACCOUSTIC VERSION IN BATTLE!!!

UPDATE (28th May 2024)

It have come to my attention that "Evil Shell Sause" is only able to change Azul's card illustration, so yea-

I was drunk on excitement and dehydration I think, lmao-

So yea, with all of this big encounters all happened one after another, I finally took a break because the excitement and rush actually makes my head hurts-

It doesn't help with the fact that Indonesia (and the rest of the SEA countries-) are getting hit by intense heatwave, and how crowded the arcade was that day-

And after the much needed rest, I went back to the arcade and finally took my own advice seriously, "Take things slow"-

And take things slow we did, since searching for Dran and Kurt was a simple task, and Dark Magica with CuChulainn only need to be combined with their item!

With 1 last play in mind, I try my luck once again on Chapter 6, with a team consisting of 2★ Dia, 4★ CuChulainn, and 4★ Culann Cuz y'know, I need to level up Dia too-

And... guess who greeted us, like RIGHT AWAY at the first enemy selection screen?

Yes, that's right, THE MONSTER, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND, THE RARE ENCOUNTER OF CHAPTER 6-

FUCKING PYRAMID HEAD--

THIS WAS MY FUCKING LAST PLAY, I WAS NOT EXPECTING BIG THINGS-

BUT PYRAMID HEAD???? THE ONE MONSTERS I WAS AIMING EVER SINCE I STARTED TO GO LEVELLING AT CHAPTER 6 SINCE FEBRUARY????

FUCK, IT'S FATE- /slapped

We might have lost and I didn't get his item drop, but hey, we got Pyramid Head at the end, so who is laughing now? /slapped

Also if I'm not seeing wrong, it was also the day that is agreed on as the day for Oreca Battle anniversary day??? So, happy anniversary??? ...dang, this franchise is 12 years old-

Welcome to the team, Damkina and White Dragon's Egg!!! ✨✨✨

Though I lose against Damkina and didn't get her item drop, we were still able to get her join the team, so yay!!! Not only that, but it was said her encounter is pretty rare, so audfhkjehferg--

Also, I finally able to get Tanta meet Kurt to trigger their special cut-in! I'll try to make a video post about it, because slrjghjrg- To do that cutscene justice, I need to show it in video format-

Other than that, we had a pretty uneventful (yet a bit frustrating-) levelling up moments~

And we finally get Kurt's cloak, so I will make a separate post about that- (Or maybe just include it in the video post???)

And for some reason, no signs of 4★ CuChulain yet- Where the heck are you, CuChulain- You're not even a boss or rare encounter, I'm so confused as to why you're so hard to meet-

Thank you very much for today's Oreca Battle session! We were only able to accomplish one of the many goals we set for this month, but at least everyone have gotten stronger for the next battle!

But, since I started to play with the second machine halfway of today's session, we got some cards that are printed just a tiny bit bigger than the sleeves that I have on my hand And as we know, having plastic sleeves is a must!

So, we will get to cutting in a bit! /slapped

And on unrelated note, today I found some cards that have names on them (tho name is pretty unique-)

I found them between the gap of the machines and facing down, maybe these cards accidentally fell off from the side while the owner was playing?

I hope I could meet the owner of these cards someday

A Story on How I Started Playing Oreca (at 3rd of March 2023)

I wanted to share how I first started to play Oreca Battle at Yogyakarta, and how I got 4 starter cards instead of just 1 or 3 in a day-

It was one of the most memorable day of my life, and for no reason, I never actually shared the full story other than to the friends on a Discord server

Thankfully, the moderator never really deleted the channel, so the original photos from that day still exist

So it all started by the coincidences where I started wanting to know more about Oreca Battle because of Mudae, and the sudden appearance of Oreca Battle machines on the arcade near me when I visited the mall on probably February 2023

I needed to prepare myself before actually playing the game, so I searched on how to play the game and read some stray infos from a quick google search

The machines on those years are probably still on New Chapter 1 and New Prologue if I wasn't wrong, so yea, I started at New Prologue-

Everything was going well after the first battle, I had a very fun time battling and deciding on who I want to print When suddenly...

The machine just malfunctioned- I was probably in distraught when this happened-

I asked the staff for help, but since the machine is still very new for this arcade, the staff have not much idea on how to help me, and instead offered me a free play on the other machine beside it

I remembered trying out New Chapter 1 instead on this machine, and was anticipating to print Flow after the battle

But another misfortune befell-

^ This was the original message I wrote on the server to express how I felt at that moment-

But thankfully, the third machine worked without having any other problem! And back to the issue of the machine being new to this arcade, because the staff gave me not just 1 (one) free play for this machine, but 3 (three) free plays instead-

And that is how I got 3 starters instead of one, because I took the opportunity to print both Tanta, Burn, and Magician all at once-

And after having a feel on how interesting the game is, I tried to play it again But that's also how I found out that the machine doesn't have working light bulb on the scanner, because I can't scan any of the cards I just got-

So instead, I try my hands on combining, and get Arthur's card (He was on the list of monsters that caught my interest when I was first fishing for any info before playing this game)

And that is probably how everything went!

I don't really remember what I do after that, probably hunting info on how getting Culann, continue watching the anime, hunting for more info about this niche game, everything else, and had an idea to record myself playing so I never forget about this game incase anything happened(?)

The rest is history, and here I am now 1 year later, and still playing Oreca Battle for atleast once a month-

What a year it have been, huh- And now we have the latest update for New Chapter 3 for the machines at Yogya, and lotsa of battles we have done to get here

Stray Thoughts and Rambling about the Story from Oreca Battle Chapter 6: "The Desolation of The Poisonous Swamp"

Following the previous ask about the lore from each chapter, I suddenly wanted to share some lore about Chapter 6 and New Chapter 6 that I learnt from reading Demizu Posuka's Oreca Battle manga, some tidbits from the Japanese fanwiki, and some fan theories I heard and read about from Pixiv and twitter

Please do take caution since this post is mostly based on speculations and fan theories from other fans, and along with the fact that EN localization for any other New Chapter series after New Ch. 3 doesn't exist

There might be wrong speculation, wrong character names spelling, and such Please proceed with caution, thank you!

So, let's start from the established main story of what started Chapter 6

Chapter 6 story started with the appearance of Demon Emperor Tokaji who wanted invade the world of Oreca by spreading his poison throughout the land with his army of the undead

And then comes our protagonist, Shining Guardian Dia who have been blessed by the light from Heaven She went unto the journey to fight against Tokaji to save her homeland from being overrun by the army of undead

Even though the fight have ended with Dia's victory, the aftermath of the damage from the poison that Tokaji spreads on the land are very severe and left the world of Oreca in dire state

Because of this, the Heaven sent two angels to observe and help clean the land from the poison that are spreading, and to decide what is needed to be done to what have happened These angels are Clay, our main protagonist from New Ch. 6 and Camael, his best friend

And this is the start of New Chapter 6

Along their journey, Clay and Camael start to have differing opinions regarding the fate of the land and taking on different paths

Clay and Dia is on the side of who wants find a way to save the poisonous swamp without needing to sacrifice the remaining denizen

While Camael is on the side of King of Light Elysium, who wants to "purify" everything on the land back into nothingness

It is also stated on the JP Fanwiki that Elysium is actually the one who granted the power of Light to Dia on the beginning of Chapter 6

And from this conflict, we finally come to the final fight that will decide on the fate of this land

According to someone's theory, Clay and Dia are fighting for the sake of the remaining people who are still alive on the poisonous swamp, and their victory should've been able to let the people live on

Regardless of who came out as victorious from this battle, it doesn't change the fate of the swamp because of how severe the poison that have already spread throughout

And so, Chapter 6 ended with the inevitable fate of the swamp from being purified into a desert

But even after the desertification, there are people who are still living and surviving on the land Perhaps the remaining people who live in this desert is the result of Clay's and Dia's victory?

But even within the desert, a new threat looming over their fate as a demon king appears and imprison a lot of warriors of the land

And thus start the story of Chapter 2, following the adventure of Gunner Dartan and Jeanne to fight against Demon King Saqqara's tyranny

Aand, that is the end of my personal interpretation of the story that take place in Chapter 6, New Chapter 6, and their connection to Chapter 2

There are also the side story of Infinite Musketeer Dartan trying to defeat Demon Tyrant Abusir to free the people on Chapter 2 from Saqqara's future tyranny, and the side story of Saint Marshall Hughes and High Cleric Cliff in trying to find Sage Solon to fight against Demon Emperor Tokaji (this story is depicted in the Vol. 1 of Oreca Battle Monsters Adventure)

I know this was pretty lengthy, the story is just that complex after all- And that is also the reason why I actually really love New Chapter 6 despite the chapter not having localization version yet-

So today, I end up going to the arcade on impulse-

And on this occasion, I managed to meet 3★ Darkness Magica and defeated him!

But... I didn't get the drop that I wanted-

You see, for the longest time (and based on my personal experience as well), I thought that as long as you can defeat the enemy, you can get their rare item (ex. My fight against Hero Kurt and GeBulg) and get their normal drop if you lose against the enemies (ex. my second round against GeBulg)

But guess Darkness Magica's rare item really does mean rare item for now, huh- I didn't even know that Darkness Magica also drop the Magical Sword- The JP fanwiki didn't mention it, but the card collection book did

The thing is, 4★ Khaos Magica is not available on the machines at Indonesia, so the only way I could get the dark stone is by defeating Darkness Magica-

But... now that I think about it... there were two teams that have Darkness Magica on the enemy selection menu...

Do you think there might be a chance that different lineup of enemies mean differences on item rarity as well?

I mean, the first lineup was stronger after all, it was 10★ team- And my team was a bit overpowered against the 7★ team, with 2 Demon Kings on my side-

Well, I do need Magical Sword in the future, but still-

Kind of regret not taking the chance to fight Krsnik tbh... Oh well, we will get them next time-

I Played Oreca Battle With a Friend!!!

Finally, at last Saturday, I get @azul-nieve to play Oreca Battle with me!

This will be a brief recount of what we did with some doodles and photos here and there

In this recount, I will be referring to my friend as Azul Please don't mistake it as Pirate Azul from Oreca, tho- Also, I used my friend's OC, Hielos Azules to represent them here

So we started our meeting by looking around this somekind of toys exhibition event that is actually happening at that day-

Me, not knowing there was an event, just stroll around with my friend and took some photos of the figma kit showcase that took my interest and stuff like that-

After that, we finally go to the arcade, and I started introducing them to the Oreca machines that are stationed in the arcade! Showing them the possible character they can start with, the newest chapter update, and other stuff like that

We started Azul's journey by starting on New Chapter 1, because they have big interest with water and ice type characters

I wanted to introduce Azul to Chapter 5 as well, but I thought it might be better to start with easier chapter first-

And here's a doodle of Azul and their first Oreca partner, Uriel!

After that, I asked if they want to try to play with the cards I have, so I introduce Azul to some of my cards

The members I lend to Azul for this occasion are Counselor Enlil, Dark Armor Knight Culann, and Blaze Knight Burn!

This was done deliberately because I also wanted to see if we will have any luck trying to meet 3* Dante in this session

and guess what?

We did-

And we won-

Later on, we just play around, talk about stuff, and bid farewell to each other after the time have reached 5 p.m.

It was pretty fun! I do want to battle them on PvP tbh, but Azul just started, soo-

I want to see if it is possible to play PvP mode with same name cards, but I don't have high hope-

But yea, that's how our day went! Along with me introducing Oreca Battle to Azul, I also managed to level up some characters~

But the most important is of course, Dante's Evil Water!!!

I'm finally one step closer to get Lucifer to come home- I can't wait-

So, I ordered something again for funsies, and it have finally arrived-

It's decorated innersleeves!!!

I saw it recommended to me, and I've been wanting to buy some for my Oreca cards!!!

I especially adore how these sleeves fit Sariel and Powan so much, it's so darn cute-

Sadly tho, it doesn't fit inside the album-

So it's probably going to be used for something else for now- Which is sad, because I actually saw some other cute designs But if it doesn't fit, I don't think I need to buy more-

I was actually still undecided which color fit Powan more I lean toward Pink more tbh, because y'know, complimentary and stuff? Also, love how Cinnamonroll's and My Melody's name accidentally acts as a QR code censor here, very noice

I honestly prefer the frame looking one for Sariel A bit sad that the ribbon was on left instead of right tbh, it would've been a good QR Code censors

Also, few hours after I drafted this post, I suddenly had an idea on what I will use this innersleeves are for the time being,

And it is to decorate Tanta's and Culann's card I'm using in a photocard holder~

Sorting My "Love and Berry" Cards Collection

So few days ago, for no damn reason, I suddenly remembers about my old obsession for "Love and Berry" and "Kitten Dance Channel"

I decided to open them and sort my cards collection out at that night

I'm only going to write about my Love and Berry cards tho, my collection for Kitten Dance Channel is not that impressive, since the game's machine kind of disappeared and I got busy with school at that year-

...I would love to be able to play either of this game again, tho I love them

TLDR; I have lots of cards, which some are bootlegs (but usable on the machine) and some are official Also, showcase of some of my favorite cards

So, let's start this long ass story

This album is already filled to the brim- I have more cards than it can hold, and kept the rest of the cards inside a plastic bag-

Which... is actually a good thing, because without young Ris knowing, this album is made of fucking PVC So most of the cards that are stored inside the album have become roughs and dusty-

But, it didn't really saddens, contrary to expectations

Why?

Because most of the cards inside the album are bootleg cards-

Okay okay, hear me out- I don't know how it is outside of Indonesia, but in this country, we have some vendors who used to sell Love and Berry bootleg cards in boxes for about Rp 20k - 50k (I don't remember the exact price anymore)

But funnily enough, even tho those cards are not official ones from the machine, you can use them on the machine-

I am not lying- There are some bootleg cards that can't be used on the machine out there, but the ones that I have here are usable and very precious to me-

Anyway, back to sorting-

The sorting started with dividing the cards' types and whether it was an official cards or not With the bootleg cards on the top row, the official ones on the middle, and another version of the bootleg ones on the last row

As you can see, my bootleg cards are a lotsa- As I have said before, I have unhealthy obsession with cards And even tho I never went out of my way to try to collect a complete volume like a mad man, this collection have a pretty concerning numbers-

((Please ignore my horrendous English, I was hungry and out of focus when writing this-))

As written on the photo, I have a total of 165 cards, in which 128 cards are bootleg, and 37 are official cards from the machine

Also, I'm planning on buying sleeves for the official cards, that's why I wrote down the size of the card- I'll probably put them alongside my Oreca Battle card pages, because why not? Both are my precious collection after all

And now, I hope I won't end up looking like bragging, but I want to proudly present some of my favorite cards from my collection,

First of all, the card I always use when playing,

The Magical Clock

This card add few more seconds at the dressing up part, which really help because my album is full, and it's kind of hard trying to scan through my collection because the lucky color is always random-

Here you'll notice I have two version of the card And it's because the yellow one is the bootleg one, while the pink one is from the machine-

And now, from the bootleg cards section,

Cherry Sweetheart and Lemon-Lime Twist

And side-by-side nonetheless~ These two are the costume that Love and Berry used in some of their official art~ I also have their corresponding footwear, but I kind of lazy to pull em out of the sleeve to photo-

Lace Lilac and Green Little Fairy

These two dresses inspires some of my OCs outfit, so they hold a precious spot in my heart~

Especially Lace Lilac, because my favorite stage ingame is the one with Blue Danube It was my favorite stage because,

Dresses and fancy gowns~

The arcade is noisy as heck and I remember Blue Danube by heart, so I always get perfect score at this stage-

And now, from the official cards section,

On the bottom row, we have lotsa of purple adjacent cards, because it was my favorite color at the time- I especially loved the Comfy Sweater one, because it's so cute- I also have a platform shoes card that goes very well with this card

And on the upper row... I included these cards because they felt extra special Why? Because this set of outfit is worn by Berry on the back of Ver. 15 cards!

I never get Love's outfit tho, but I do have her shoes Pretty funny, huh? I have a complete set for Berry's outfit, but only have Love's shoes-

And to end this card showcase,

The outfit that Love wore on so many official arts for the game!!! Never get the shoes or any of Berry's outfit tho, but I'm so happy to have this one card~

And that's the end of it! I don't know if the machine for this game still exit within my country or not, but if by any miracle I would have an encounter with it, I would love to immortalize the memory, whether by recording or just photos

An Album For My Cards Collection

For the previous few days, I have been sick with throat infection-

But alongside that, I was also waiting for a package to be delivered to my current living place, and it has finally arrived few days ago!

I reused my old unused binder book to become a card album for my Oreca Battle cards~

The album is used mostly for the spare/dups cards that I got from levelling, since I still use the other levelled up cards for battles-

Behind the cut is just me rambling about the binder book and layout stuff, so there's no need to read this post further-

So, the idea to make this album came from a suggested product while I was browsing the online shop for funsies

It's a refill-like album sleeves!

Absolutely in love with this sleeves tbh, because not only it have 4 pockets, it is also double sided! And the sleeve is so big, I can insert the cards with their innersleeves~

And then I remember, I have an old binder book I don't use anymore for no reason So I took it out from my wardrobe, and it smelled like mold-

I washed the book following my father's tips, which is to use toothpaste for some reason- I was in no position to question my father's advice because I have no idea on how to clean a leather product, so yea, I brushed the book with toothpaste, rinse it clean, and left it to dry under sunlight-

After carefully measuring the book size, asking the seller about the product's detail, I finally made my order and get dem sleeves~

In the meantime of waiting for the sleeves to come in my sickness, I also planned on the layout for the album

I planned on arranging the cards based on when I get them~

Since my starter were Burn, Magician, and Tanta + Arthur, their first cards were the one placed on the front page I also decided to place their level 10 counterpart on the back, just to make this first page extra special~

Cards and Plastic Sleeves

Yesterday, the plastic sleeves I ordered finally arrived~

I didn't sleeve every cards that I have, mostly the guys I still use for battles, in training, or the first card of that character I've ever printed (ex: Lv. 1 or Lv. 2 cards)

Even if it's not every cards that I own, it almost took me 2 hours to sleeve everyone Given tho, I kind of get distracted at the middle-

I also want to write out a bit about why I suddenly feel the need to sleeves every cards that I currently and will have for the future

TLDR; Don't use photo album that use PVC for card collecting if you don't have innersleeve for your cards

Around August 2023, I ordered an photocard album that are usually popular among KPOP fans, because the size is perfect for photocard

And well, what do you know? The size is also perfect for Oreca Battle cards-

The inside of the album is very nice! If I wasn't wrong, the sleeves size is around 7 cm x 10 cm, so plenty of room for the cards

And not only that, they are also come with 2 sided sleeves! So I can arrange some of the cards to be placed next to each other, like this arrangement for Powan and Dante~

And furthermore, this album got that big window on its cover, and you can put your fav picture as the cover!

I did use one of my spare Culann card as the cover at first, but overtime, it changes into one of my ridiculous doodles that I printed sometime ago along with my wanderer cards-

Currently, I'm using the one where Culann is chasing Tanta, but that's not what I'm going to ramble about

I'm going to ramble about what happened to my cards after months of being inside this album

As the TLDR at the beginning implied, the sleeves materials are made of PVC plastic (as described by the vendor on the online listing)

And these PVC plastic, yea? They stick to your cards/photos like, dangerously sticking

So it was probably around September, when I was planning on testing wanderer cards on the arcade I was deciding on what kind of team I need to use, so I pull my cards outside of their sleeves

And lo and behold, crime of modern age(?)

At first, I was a bit surprised at how rough the surface of the cards have become, but I thought since none of the ink are sticking to the sleeves, we are still at safe area Oh how wrong I was...

Out of all of the cards that took some damage from this ordeal, the ones that got the most critical hit are Hayate and Bub

The damage is not very noticeable on Hayate, since it's just a small amount on his hair

But Bub on the other hand, got a very big chunk of his ink taken away by the PVC and got a pretty big white blob on the left side of his card Thankfully, Bub's OG background do have some white elements, so you can dismiss the missing ink as part of the BG

But sadly, the fact that most of my cards' surface becoming rough is not something that I can do anything about

That's why I decided to immediately buy some innersleeves to protect my current and future cards from any further damage that the PVC album might do to them

You might wonder, "If this PVC album is so bad, why not buy a new album that's not made from PVC?"

Buddy, this photo album is pretty expensive- Not only that, it's also very pretty- Also, the sleeves that got ink stuck on them cannot be cleaned/removed, so I don't think I can sell it as a second-hand item either

Anyway, that's my journey about PVC plastic and the importance of putting sleeves on your cards Don't forget to protect your cards, buy sleeves /slapped

Ris and her ridiculous HC for Oreca Battle characters' height

Ayyo, this is just another case of rambling of a mad person that goes to much

I was about to sleep, but my brain suddenly screamed to me that I need to make a post about this-

TLDR; Old rambling about Ris being crazy, talking about the height of Oreca Battle characters

None of the information that you see in this post will benefit you because it lacks accuracy, so please just ignore this as a rambling of a mad person lamenting about her old days(?)

This is actually something that I did a long time ago when I was still new to Oreca Battle and was in the middle of researching further about "What the heck is 'Oreca Battle'???" (Around May 2023)

So, my descent start from this photo that I saw in the FB Group for Oreca Battle fans community

Turns out, these are some pretty official stuff that were auctioned on yahoo auction Thank you to Nefer_ty who shares this information to me at June 2023!

Anyway, before I found out about what this photo means, I was focused on one thing,

"We have some official height chart for some of the characters here... I can try to measure their height, right?"

And I went mad and descend into my own personal hell-

So, I started to take a closer look into the characters' height chart as much as I can on my phone, and started scribbling something that may have not been accurate, like, at all-

You see, I'm not a scientific or precise person at all- I was only driven by the power of delusion and madness at this point

150 cm is ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCURATE- It was just speculation, and uh... I wasn't really sound of mind (maybe?) at that point, so I didn't care and just took 150 cm at face value-

After assuming that Data's and Orega's height to be around 150 cm or so, I took a lot at the screenshots I had where either Orega or Data are standing side to side the summoned monsters

This is one of my fav scene, lmao- ((Oreca Battle anime, episode 18))

And then I went and go to hikaku sitatter to mess around, finding out the amount(?) of height that closely resemble the difference between the characters on the mentioned screenshot

((This is a newer one that I just made, because the old height comparison have my own height put into the chart as well, and I'm embarrassed to show how delusional I was being-))

Anyway, the one that I truly believe to be 195 cm tall is 3* Burn He might actually be taller, since Fire's height in the screenshot reach about his chest area There's an assumption of mine that Heat might be taller than Burn, but then again, his hair looks very t h i c c in that screenshot, so there's a possibility that Heat's as tall or maybe shorter than Burn

My previous assumption was that the 2* OreMons are about 100 cm tall But after looking at the screenshots that I have again, I changed it to 105 cm, which is actually not that much difference- Since y'know, their height can be affected by their apparel as well, like the shoes maybe, or the helmet, the hair too

Anyway, those are my headcanons for the Oreca Battle characters height

If I talk more about other OreMon height comparison, I might not sleep tonight- And I actually need to sleep tonight, I have irl business to do tomorrow-

But to make some of my personal HC short,

Culann is taller than Tanta (both 2* and 3* form)

4* Culann is a bit taller than 3* Culann

3* CuChulain is taller than 3* Tanta

Powan is shorter than Dante (both 2* and 3* form)

2* Inferno Burn only slightly taller than 2* Dark Tanta

3* Balt is only slightly taller than his subordinates

4* Balt is slightly taller (emphasize on slightly)

On their 3* forms, Rock is the tallest out of the Elemental Warriors, while Hayate is the shortest

And that's my rambling for the day I know I should've been trying to distant myself from Oreca, but I still very much adore these characters, I just can't-

Personal Interpretation of What Are We as an Oreca Battler/Knight/Master in Oreca World

This interpretation is being written by someone who have only played Oreca Battle at the arcade for 5 months, watch the anime, read just a few available chapters of the manga (using auto-translator nonetheless-), and reading other fans interpretation

Sorry for the messiness!

In my own personal interpretation, we as an Oreca Battler / Knight / Master, are like the magical 3rd party who knows the Oreca’s world residents’s fate

Just by playing the game (at the arcade or on the app), we are already given the opportunity to take a glance of what this world is like

But we can’t really play around with their fate What we can do is only to guide them to the path that is already determined for them

Example: (This also include a headcanon of mine regarding CuChulain & Tanta, sorry about that-)

Warrior Tanta, the knight of the kingdom (to avoid misspelling, I won’t try to write the kingdom’s name-) have 3 line of evolution that hold the most resemblance to his 2* form, those evolution are

- White Knight CuChulain

A path for Tanta if he decided to stay at the kingdom and never went on a journey

- Dark Warrior Tanta / Black Knight GeBulg

A path that Tanta might took if he let himself swallowed by the power of darkness

- Hero Tanta

A path that is opened if Tanta decided to go on a journey to be a hero, just as Balt advised him to

These 3 lines of evolutions are also what makes me think that we as a battler have some kind of special power(?) in our hand (and by the help of Pandora)

As a battler, we have the power to let certain possibilities to take shape, and even make the past and the future cross paths!

But their past and future are already determined by the world of Oreca, so what we can do are only directing a monster toward one of those path

Just like how we can let Heavy Armor Knight Culann be on the same team as Hero Tanta (cross path example), but we can’t change the future where Culann will be swallowed by Dark Matter and become Dark Armor Knight Culann (pre-determined future example)

So, my conclusion is, We as a battler, and Oreca Battle gameplay (arcade and app alike), are like somekind of crossing paths where possibilities from the past and future of Oreca world can meet

And I would like to interpret this as, We, or atleast our contract (cards) with the Oreca monsters/denizens are like a resting area for them  A resting place to stop for while, considering the path of their future or being able to either go to places or meet someone in the past

And considering how in the anime some Oreca monster can summon themselves into the real world (Yes, I am looking at you two, Flow and Tanta-),

I would like to think that by making a contract (cards) with us, we also help them to take their mind off from their determined future for awhile and rest their selves

Or even help them get stronger to get closer to that future we are guiding them to!

TLDR: Our ability as battler is to help the Oreca monsters to guide them toward their pre-determined path from the looking glass (arcade machine and the app)

Ris got obsessed with Wanderer Cards and finally printed some she could find

This is just another case of my hyperfixation taking control of me for the past few months, and me just surrendering to it o<-<

TLDR: I got obsessed with the idea of printing my own Oreca Battle's wanderer cards to use at the arcade, to the point I end up redrawing the QR codes of the cards and making a template for printing it

Anyway, let's start this long story While browsing through the Oreca Battle fb community group, I came across Wanderer Cards They are basically nameless/ownerless cards that you can scan, then print with your name afterward

Big thank you to every players who have uploaded some of their wanderer cards at the community group!

Unfortunately, fb being fb, some images were compressed as heck to the point that the QR codes are barely readable Which are pretty fatal, because the QR codes are the most important part of an Oreca Battle cards

So... for these past months, I've been dedicating my spare times to recreate some of these QR codes with binary pen on Medibang, just so I can print my own wanderer cards

Except Heimdall, I kind of gave up on his code- His code got too crispy for me to discern, and beside he didn't get a unique artwork for his wanderer card

This is my very own template for printing my wanderer cards I left the command reels blank, because I wanted to put something else on there, like how I felt about this character, or a quick explanation on how to evolve them

I have personally checked and scanned every code (except Siegfried's) and can attest that all of them worked!
