Question: What motivated you to even begin doing all this, all the Hope Universe?

(人◕ω◕) Interesting question. Well I suppose it really boils down to three things really. @wesst1 story "Everyday life with ultimate girls" which you can find here. @pyropsychiccollector story "Danganronpa: Another IF" which you can find here

And the fact that generally speaking, Makoto is not only the most unpopular main character but also he is the only one that actually inspires me. Right. So Why did I bring up Wesst1 and pyro? Well because both of them helped me get into exploring Makoto with others. See, I used to be a bog standard Naegiri & Naekusaba fan. Didn't really think much of shipping the egg with others. But reading Danganronpa: Another IF by @pyropsychiccollector really sold me on NaeCeles around Chapter 3 and Naezono throughout the story From there I became obsessed with other types of shipping and pyro will tell you I quickly reached out to him and well here we are XP But in the early days we were also talking about NaeChisa when there were like 1-3 images out there on the entire internet. And yeah...I quickly fell down the rabbit hole. NaeHina, Naekawa, NaeJunko, Naezono and after reading @wesst1 story, my mind blew wide open. The way he set it up by having Makoto interact with OTHER Girls from GD and V3....Yeah man that shit was revolutionary. Suddenly I had a reference point to expand beyond my initial Class 78 girls with the egg. From here on, I just wanted to explore shipping Makoto with others. Sonia, Akane, Mikan, Ibuki (@pyropsychiccollector she's still an agent of chaos), Miu, Kaede, Angie, Tenko, etc And well funnily enough I started getting into Koikatsu around this time. Same program I use for all my 3D stuff. See, on a site called Pixiv there was this guy called Demco. He made all the main series characters sans Ruruka and Seiko. But there was a rub. He was SUPER paranoid? Controlling? XDDD @notpistol knows what I'm talking about. He basically had this rule where you couldn't share his danganronpa characters at all or he'll private everything and you wouldn't get access to future updates of a character as he improved the designs. Several times though they would get leaked and he eventually went nuclear and just stopped making cards and took down all his links. Around this time I had to quite literally look at pictures he would still post and figure out the new changes and looks and replicate it myself (with limited success). So Demco became this new....goal or rival to beat XDDD I would tell @pyropsychiccollector about Demco's madness but brilliance and my desire to succeed him.

So I practiced and developed my skills. Not long after I began making my own characters Demco never made like Miaya and the Student Council~ Those were my first ever characters I made that nobody did. @notpistol also started making the spin-off/LN/Manga characters like Sayaka's idol group or Yui and Hiroko! So between the two of us and I forgot to add but there was a lad who made Seiko and Ruruka and did a GOD tier job with the early designs. Also, someone made Danganronpa Another cards but they....weren't that good XDDD. But yeah between me and @notpistol we basically started making every danganronpa character that had an image. I think though what made me really make the Hope universe was....okay. I finally became a solid creator. I could replicate/improve upon Demco's cards and I made new characters. But there wasn't a grand plan or anything. I was just using them for shipping stuff and my goal at the time was to show Makoto x <Insert Girl> art and family stuff.

A NaeAngie family picture or Makoto with Tsumugi and their child or NaeCeles Family or Naekawa wedding. Stuff like that. My earliest Koikatsu work was in fact Makoto x Chisa and soon after Makoto x Celeste and Makoto x Junko. You seen the kids and stuff. However once I saw DRA1 and SDRA2 I decided.....I can make all of this work. XDDDD I became unapologetically greedy and decided to make a huge harem and @wesst1 already showed me it can be done! So I decided to incorporate fangan stuff but I didn't have an overall plan or story or anything. it was more or less "Hey I'm a huge Makoto harem shipper, here's this big family" But as I decided to add more characters and what not, I began figuring out who goes where. And creating the initial groundwork for classes. It wasn't until the brilliant @putaindeplagieur contacted me and made this kickass Excel spreadsheet listing all the classes, who teaches the classes and yeah we worked together for months and I pitched him the idea of opening up multiple schools and we (Mostly him) organized that shit! XDDDDD Which led to the Hope Universe we have. I wanted a corner of the internet where we get some wholesome fluff and family stuff with the egg. No deaths, no murder porn, none of that stuff. And I needed it because life fucking sucks here in America especially as a minority so it became this outlet for me. In my single-minded devotion to this project, I created something special with the help of @putaindeplagieur, @pyropsychiccollector and @notpistol Eventually though as of late last year I wanted to add some story to all of this. Me and @pyropsychiccollector have been spitballing idea's for skits and stuff and yeah. Laughing Man Saga for the family 15 years post Class 78 Graduation and I'm hard at work for the Kamukura/Tragedy story while they're at Hope's Peak.

Bit of a long read and stuff but yeah...I started this all not just to make makoto shippers happy and stuff but because It's therapeutic for me and maybe a few others. I know @makoto-naegi-stud-and-friends has also been making some Naegi centered stuff! I guess also another big part of WHY I made the hope universe is to give characters a better life. Junko is doing much better, Kanade, Ruruka, Seiko, Natsumi, Kotoko, Tsumugi, etc. I just wanted to take all these characters and put them in a better world (not a perfect one) free from all that despair and stuff. Real life is already fuckin miserable here with constant mass shootings, the far right losing their minds over LGBTQIA stuff and corporations turning America into Neo-Feudalism slowly over time. What do I gain from seeing so much darkness in DRA1/SDRA2? And yeah I also wanted to have characters from these fangans get a chance to be happy and stuff since projects either get canceled or we run into the initial dilemma of so much dark and depressing shit.

Dunno. For me at least, I need fluff since I'm always exposed to so much despair in real life. XDDD And I hope you all enjoy the stuff I do~

I am OK with just them. But I do want to know what about Chisa? What does she think of his classmates (also his pink hair and green hair admirers) doing this? Does she approve or disapprove of this?

Chisa-chan is very vigilant of physical intimacy during Makoto's school days. (人◕ω◕) Girls leaving stuff in Makoto's room dances along that fine edge of "how intimate are you guys?!"

And after Graduation, of course Chisa-chan takes on a part-time job as Makoto-kun's housekeeper. (人◕ω◕) He needs to adjust to his new career after high school, and she enjoys being his unofficial Ultimate Assistant. (人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕) Chisa-chan loves all of Class 78. Despite how inappropriate they can be at times with too much intimacy with Makoto, she HAS tried to take custody of the homeroom class from Kizakura.

To no avail, naturally. There's a big formal, legal arrangement with Kizakura as the homeroom teacher for Class 78. There would be bloodshed if Kizakura stepped down or gave it up to someone else. The staff at HPA are.... interesting. (人◕ω◕)

How would Makoto X Chisa happen? She is in your top five favorite Makoto pairings so I wouldn't be surprised if you got that planned out. Even if she is a teacher for another class.

Chisa-chan is special, yes. Similar to Toko, Ruruka, Sonia, Maki.... Essentially, canon gives them different love interests. Not an impossible obstacle to overcome, and it's practically a relief for girls like Chisa and Toko, considering the guys they initially like are... Well. Guys are allowed to turn a girl down if they're just not interested; there's no obligation to reciprocate. People are still free to ship Byakuya x Toko and Kyosuke x Chisa if they like. ... It's just we have as much a right to ship as we please, too.

... Long tangent there, but essentially, Kyosuke isn't really an obstacle for Makoto to overcome. Kyosuke is very driven, focused, and with the Tragedy no longer an issue (at least as we know it), Kyosuke is free to focus on his initial vision of an overseas campus for Hope's Peak (Vergil will be getting around to this campus within the next couple years). This means Chisa and Juzo are still at the original Hope's Peak, doing surveillance for him, but with the Kamukura Project derailed this leaves them with a lot of free time. So Chisa can remain focused on being a teacher. And naturally, in the Hope Universe, she's got classmates that are now teachers, so it's not like she's a lonely teacher with Class 77, fighting the good fight against the corrupt parts of Hope's Peak. :P

The nice thing about NaeChisa is that it's not so outlandish, age-wise. Yes, Chisa is a teacher, but she's only a few years older than Makoto (appr. 4 years older). She just needs to be kept in line when she gets affectionate with Makoto, save the dating stuff for after he graduates. But that's what her classmates are for, I suppose. :P But then again, her fellow teachers are in the same boat, pining after the Egg.... so they all keep each other in check. .... Yeah.

Makoto and Chisa just gravitate to each other because of their similar dispositions. Kind, caring, wanting to help others out, a bit lonely on the inside, feels small compared to their classmates.... Makoto becomes Chisa's favorite TA, and she's.... very affectionate with him. That's the thing about NaeChisa, you're not ultimately sure where the "love" begins and where it'll end. They click well together, and that's what matters. Makoto's not sure himself where and when he grew to love his teacher in.... that way.... But she's honestly near and dear to his heart, and he does want her happy. When he initially noticed his crush, he was fearful of stepping on toes because Chisa made it clear toward the beginning of the school year that she liked Kyosuke.... So he made an effort to bury/hide his crush...

But you know Makoto. Terrible liar, and Chisa's been aware of her crush for longer, and it's not that hard to see when Makoto's dwelling on something big like this. Poor guy can't hide his blushes to save his life~ Chisa tries to hold herself back for a little while, 'cause Ikue and other staff keep drilling it into her head "student-teacher relations are a no-no..." Alas. Chisa can't hold herself back forever, and it's not easy seeing Classes 78, 77, and 76 gun after the luckster. So popular~.... You're probably wondering about her crush for Kyosuke. ... Well, with Kyosuke over in America building his academy, he doesn't have time for romance. And he's always come off as more of a close friend than a lover; she made sure to get his blessing before pursing.... well, "someone else."

What? Did you think Chisa would tell her other best friend that she's crushing hard on a student????? Juzo already gave her an earful, catching sight of pictures of Makoto used as wallpapers on her phone. She doesn't want to test Kyosuke and see if he'll come running back to Japan because of this "development." She has his blessing, and this is enough. (❋•‿•❋)

Never mind that Kyosuke already knows because Juzo and all the other girls from Class 74 have already notified him about it, and he trusts them to keep Chisa from going.... overboard and getting fired because of relations with a student.

So, Chisa eventually drops her feelings like a bombshell onto Makoto, like all the other female teachers, on Valentine's Day. Even gets away with letting her luckster cop a feel while he's dazed from his face being smushed up in her fluffy pillows~.... Ikue puts her foot down, of course. None of the teachers are officially allowed to date Makoto until graduation.... But still~ Doesn't stop the girls from being chummy. ..... And sometimes risque with wearing no panties under their skirts. (❋•‿•❋)

What are your top Makoto x Another girl ships?

I'm unsure how this isn't already widely known by this point. But. (❋•‿•❋) If I must answer it again, so be it~ In essence, my favorites are and always will be the Founders, as I affectionately call them. (❋•‿•❋)

Naturally, the first of the Founders is Naezono. (❋•‿•❋) This ship started me on the path of Danganronpa ships. I will always be eternally grateful to Naezono~ Never let the fandom shame you into hating the ship or Sayaka-chan. Sayaka-chan is not a snake. (❋•‿•❋)*********

Then, of course, NaeCeles. I think this one is a secret dark horse amongst the fandom, because I don't see too many haters for it despite Celes's character, but I do see a moderate amount of fanart. XD I suppose the more accurate term for this ship should be NaeTaeko? (❋•‿•❋) Although if you say that too loud, an angry Mama Kitty might come out and swat you.

Naturally, Naekusaba is a Founder, as well. I'm not entirely sure what it was that set me on the path of Naekusaba, I don't think I found the IF novel until I read a number of Naekusaba fanfics, so.... XD Certain people hate anime Mukuro, but I kinda like that cutesy stoic personality as a base for how she can be when not in Despair. (❋•‿•❋)

NaeJunko/Naeshima is a Founder, as well. Very hard to appreciate this ship because of all the Despair fics and art out there, bringing Makoto down to Junko's level. But that's fine, we're working on it~ (❋•‿•❋) Junko-chan shall be reformed one way or the other......and she will like it. (❋•‿•❋)********

NaeChisa. This Founder came on later, but, Chisa-chan is an amazing character. (❋•‿•❋) So much like Makoto, and she's even the same height~ Not to mention as a member of Class 74, that makes her only 4-5 years older than Makoto. Not that creepy at all~ How can you hate Chisa-chan? (❋•‿•❋)
