16 year old Natasha is such an edgy, dramatic teen, I love her so much.
[ID: a screenshot of white text on a black background that reads: "If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, Natasha wonders where her personal path of mixed motives will leave her.
(Probably, with her luck, some kind of Super Mega Hell for the Ultra-Damned, so maybe she shouldn't think about it so hard)"

Character Introduction Post: Natasha (Nastya) Lloyd-Kulakova
[Image Description: The first is a drawing of a white girl with short, wavy, purple hair and a spiteful expression, with a scar on her cheek. She is wearing a ripped purple shirt and a black jacket, and multiple black piercings in her one exposed ear. She holds up one hand, with the middle finger raised. The second a similar drawing of the same girl, this time with short mousy brown hair, no scar, and freckles. Her outfit is the same, and she holds up one middle finger, and one hand in a peace sign.  Both images are watermarked with “Aloha Sushi Core” in purple. End ID]
Damien pauses, again, looks her up and down. “Then why are you back, Natasha?"
She hesitates, curls her fingers into the damp wood of the railing. ”…I’m twenty-two.“ She says, finally, not meeting his eye. "I’m twenty-two. That’s why I’m back."

Short Bio: Natasha’s father disappeared before she was born, and her mother died to the entity that terrorizes her town when she was two. Due to this, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, and alongside her cousin Brooke, a situation no one was particularly happy with. Wen she left following some… bad turns of events in 2012, she tracked down her father and found her name had been Nastya Kulakova before her aunt changed it; she spent five years away from Abercarden with her various extended family members, before eventually and begrudgingly returning.

[Image Description: A moodboard made up of ten images, all greyscale or close. The images read: “I keep hitting escape but I’m still here”, “Nearly almost dead, but not quite!”, “Let’s Run Away”, “Original Family Disappointment”, and “How to disappear completely and never be found again”. One repeats the phrase “And then I just snapped” in grey on a black background, and one has a road sign with the question “Are you lost?” on it. The others have no focal text; one has a series of missing posters, another the back of a head of lilac hair, and the last shows the lower half of a person sat on top of a chain-link fence, in ripped jeans and boots. Born and raised in Abercarden, seventeen-year-old Natasha Lloyd is getting sick of the town’s vehement belief in the unspoken legend of the thing that lives in the woods- what it is, no one seems to know, and it’s never spoken about outright, and yet she can’t seem to escape it. While her main plan is to escape the place as quickly as possible with her best friends, Fae and Damien, the very concept of it weighs on her mind- the want to know what happened to her mother fifteen years ago, the want to know what the people she grew up around are hiding, to find Abercarden’s secret once and for all.  It doesn’t help that her aunt, Mayor Joanne Taylor, who’s raised her since her mother died - supposedly killed by the same thing in the woods everyone refuses to speak of - keeps restricting her access to any and all information surrounding it. Her ironclad hold on the town isn’t making it possible to find out about the forest-entity, or whatever it is, any other way… …So Natasha does what she thinks is her only option to find out where the truth in the town’s collective beliefs lie for herself, once and for all, and with the help of two out-of-towner friends… makes her way into the forests to find what’s in here. And what they find changes everything.
Five years later, a now twenty-two year old Natasha (or Nastya) Lloyd-Kulakova returns to Abercarden, aware that everything has changed and yet at the same time nothing has. She doesn’t want to be here; she doesn’t want to face the friends she abandoned, she especially doesn’t want to- ever- see the thing in the woods again. But it’s been twenty years since her mother died, and she needs to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Welcome to Abercarden finds Natasha aged 22, determined to find a way to destroy the entity that lives in the forests forever, before it can complete a twenty-year cycle and kill another innocent person to maintain it’s power over the area. She is sarcastic, cynical, and risk-taking, cares deeply about her friends and- perhaps slightly less deeply about everyone else, but still cares that the injustice that took her mother and one of her friends, and kept her from her father for eighteen years, doesn’t happen to anyone else.  As she does this, she can’t help but think back on the events that made her sure of the entity’s existence to begin with- and how they ended with her fleeing town alone and unplanned aged seventeen, abandoning her closest friends to do so.  The only question is whether she can do the impossible in time.
The picrew I used can be found here.
